It seems I got back into Ace Attorney right in time for an event for my favorite coworkers and husbands 🥺 The inspiration for today’s prompt was the little scene where Edgeworth tells Phoenix about treating Gumshoe to some pasta, with extra parmesan on top - and being moved by his tears of joy. 🍝

IT'S GUMWORTH WEEK AAAAAAAHHH originally i wanted to write/draw something with accidental baby acquisition (my fav trope) but then i got nostalgic for baby baths in the sink... so take Gumshoe and Edgeworth with @brontitall's fankid, Olive!

i am now taking prompts for 300-word ace attorney drabbles! please give me a character or ship + scenario or prompt, and i'll do my best to fill it within the week!

fine print/disclaimers:

- mainline trilogy and dgs/tgaa are your safest bets. i haven't played aa4-6 or aai yet so ships from those games can be hit or miss in terms of my ability to do them (apollo) justice. certain ships i have absorbed thru fandom osmosis though (COUGH KRISNIX) so you can always shoot your shot :D

- T rated or below prompts only. i won't do kink/nsfw asks for this round.

- i won't write shipping or suggestive scenarios for characters under the age of 18.

I got tagged twice by @coruscantiscribbler while I was taking my hiatus. I won't tag anyone for these, and I'm just gonna combine them. I'm tired and have so much backlog to read. XD

1.) 3 Ships: Kalluzeb. Stricklake. Gumworth. 2.) First ever ship. Not really sure… probably… CidVincent? FFVII way back in the og days. I think that is the first one I really count. 3.) Scary movies or Happy Endings? Scary movies with happy endings. I mean it. I like spooks, but helpful ones. Or ones that you can come to an understanding with.

Any talents? I sing amateur soprano sometimes in local choirs.

What are you hobbies? art, reading comics/manga, writing fluff fanfics, a little bit of needlecraft (sewing and embroidery), ttrpg, indie puzzle games

Gumshoe: Good afternoon, sir! It's a bit late, but Happy New Year!

Edgeworth: Ah. Good afternoon, Detective Gumshoe.

Edgeworth, looking shy: H... Happy New Year. To you as well.

Edgeworth, looking angry: Did… did you have something for me, or are you simply shirking your duties for a social call?

Gumshoe, looking sad: Aw, sir. We hardly got to see each other over the holidays, can you blame me?

Gumshoe, looking happy: But I did have another reason, actually! Here you go, sir!

Edgeworth, looking confused: W... What is this, Detective?

Edgeworth, looking angry: Wait a second. This again?

Gumshoe: It sure is, sir!

Edgeworth: Don't these people have anything better to do...? Tch. Well, I suppose you better read it out.

Gumshoe: Sure thing, sir!

Gumshoe reads from the flyer. "Welcome everyone, to this year's GumWorth Exchange! That's right, we're going again! This year will be much the same as last, but there will be one change. We're keeping the tagset from last year! Don't worry though, you'll still get to nominate new tags!"

"The schedule is different too, of course, but we're still aiming to have works reveal on MitsuNoko day, or March 1st! Tag nominations will be open from today, January 16th, to January 21st. Sign-ups will open immediately after and be open for a week, closing at 11:59PM EST on January 27th. After that, assignments will go out ASAP, and you'll have roughly a month to create a work for your assigned recipient!"

Edgeworth: Thank you, Detective.

Gumshoe: You're welcome, sir!

Edgeworth: Well, I suppose it's sort of flattering. In a way. I do wonder still who's behind all this. It's a bit... disconcerting, how much they know about us.

Gumshoe: Oh, I wouldn't worry, sir! Little Pearls is just having some fun. Well, I guess she's not so little anymore. But still—

Edgeworth objects. Pursuit theme plays. He looks angry.

Edgeworth: I knew it! That Fey girl IS behind this!

Gumshoe: Aw crap. I wasn't supposed to tell you that. U-Uh, I-I should get going sir! J-Just ignore what I just said!

Edgeworth: Detective Gumshoe, have you been—

The door slams. Gumshoe is gone. Pursuit theme ends.

Edgeworth: And he's gone. Sighs. What are Wright and Ms. Fey thinking, letting a girl that young run free on the internet?

He pauses.

Edgeworth: Come to think of it... how old IS Pearl nowadays?

He pauses again.

Edgeworth: How old am I?

He pauses one last time.

Edgeworth: ...best not to think too hard about it.

He fades out. Video ends.

honestly dunno how well this one fits? like the idea i was going for w the prompt was dancing in the kitchen, so i was aiming for a lil clumsy but my friend said it read elegant? idk it’s up to you guys lmao
