This time we'll talk a great deal about Dizzy's Movelist History:
Frozen State (this mechanic dates back to BlazBlue's Jin Kisaragi, believe it or not… though this time you don't have to mash out of frozen state, you're in it until you get hit out of it or it thaws you out after a while), Frozen state can also extend "delayed combos" to some degree (similarly to Sub Zero Combos in Mortal Kombat).
"I used this to Catch Fish" (Formerly called Arctic Impaler): This used to have a high launch property, but it also have a Flame version in Xrd (For Searing Cod) a.k.a. "Fire Pillar". Now it more realistically freezes the opponent for combos instead of leading in to Air combos. Be thankful that you don't have to worry about a precise FRC Point anymore!
Ice Field: (They finally gave Dizzy a tool to maintain her distance from rushdown opponents, though you might have to get used to Ice-skating a bit when this is active, it also seems to impact the Momentum of various attacks. Just remember they can still airdash over the Ice to approach. If the opponent knocks Dizzy down in this state, the Ice will most likely STILL break, so watch out for that too.)
For Roasting Chestnuts : (Formerly called "We used this to get Fruit off Trees" / "Skull Crusher" Spear / Ice Spear/Flame Spear"): It's worth noting that older versions of this move had a great amount of tracking on the opponent's position. Also the original version of Skull Crusher had an Electric Shock Property, instead of Ice or Fire. It also hit twice: on startup and the projectile itself. The Xrd version of Necro's attack could charge up to three instances of the spear to attack opponents for extremely high flame damage (easily a Charge Attack if GG1 mechanics were applied). Dizzy's EX Fighting style could also do this move in mid-air!
We Talked alot Together (Formerly called "Hunger Strike"): This move had multiple versions, including a multi-bite, long range tracking bite, a Flame Laser, A Shield that absorbed an attack, and Dizzy's Gold Form Bits could even be controlled manually as long as they were out and active. In fact, so long as they WERE active, Dizzy could not be hit when they were nearby, as they would absorb hits in place of Dizzy. Necro's Flame Fish would also absorb a hit and counter-attack as well! By the way, the Flame Version was once called "We Fought a Lot Together". Most infamously, the Fish Laser could track upwards and completely dominate the airspace in front of Dizzy with the right setup, particularly when used with Impact Bubbles and Flame Bubbles.
Michael Sword (worth noting it is pronounced similarly to Mikhail Blade, of Guyver fame!): Dizzy's original EX version attacked the opponent diagonally in a downward cut, as opposed to the version Justice once used. This time though, Dizzy seems to have perfected the technique, and it even still has a Lightning Property as well! In addition, Dizzy uses her Arm and transforms it in to a Wing, similarly to how Justice used her long Fingers to morph them in to a blade. Last but not least, Justice had an Aerial version of Michael Sword in later patches of Accent Core Plus R, so Dizzy still has that untapped potential (including Saperia Trance, Justice' Forcebreak Dash Attack).
Wings of Light (also called Hikari no Tsubasa): This was originally a BOSS EXCLUSIVE attack for Gold Dizzy, and it took three different forms: a giant angled ray, a pillar of Light that erupted from the ground, and an Omni-Directional blast… worth noting, the Strive version seems to drain Health similarly to the Omni-directional version, however it does this as an Attack Field, and not an actual attack. Originally, Wings of Light was triggered after Dizzy performed multiple FRCs (Force Roman Cancels) and was technically a BURST OVERDRIVE, so it cost a great amount of Psyche Burst for her to use. This time, however, it drains her Tension gradually, though I do not know yet (as of this writing) if she can be hit out of the Wings of Light state.
Imperial Ray (partially derived from "When Necro Gets Angry/Necro Unleashed"): Originally Imperial Ray was a chain projectile and would drive an opponent backwards, forcing them to block for a long time or take a large amount of damage. This time, Dizzy's focused on a Trap-based Imperial Ray (though it still does not do as many hits as the original Imperial Ray Justice once had). Since this move is now a Meter-Reversal, Dizzy needs to manage her Tension carefully.
Gamma Ray: This move is mostly unchanged, however it is definitely not the Instant Kill version "Emotional Gamma Ray" that Necro is capable of! The original version was a massive Dragon's Breath attack, and it also started off with Necro firing two lasers above Dizzy's head, forcing the opponent to block in mid air if they didn't read the attack fast enough! This move by itself did not have much use when the opponent was up close and personal to Dizzy, and would often wiff up close, however I wouldn't necessarily think the same is true of the Strive version, so be careful!
Moves Lost: "Please Leave Me Alone"/Impact Bubble "What Happens when I'm TOO LONELY"/Flame Bubble "For Putting Out the Light"/Ice Scythe "The Light was so Small at First"/Flame Scythe Michael Sword EX (Diagonal Version)
Overdrives Lost: When Necro Gets Angry (Necro Hell/Unblockable Floor Trap) Necro's Hell Trap (EX Trap Overdrive Counter) Necro Install (EX Overdrive) Don't Be Overprotective (Ice Mirror)
Lost Instant Kill: "The power…I can't Contain it!" (Dizzy transforms in to her Gear Form and launches a powerful explosion.) Emotional Gamma Ray
Closing Notes: Dizzy is technically a "Replica of Justice" if Dr. Paradigm's GG2 Overture comment about her is to be believed, so there's no reason to doubt she can't do anything Justice could do. But, because of her nature, her battle strength will keep evolving, even now… so it's actually better if she DOESN'T FIGHT ever AGAIN!
Also, because of Strive's current mechanics, there are a lot less mid-air attacks than previous games had, but that might not affect Dizzy as much in this game, given her full potential.
Dizzy also has the power to Revive and Command Gears as a Command Type, so her true power is an untapped mystery at this point in the story!

A question that has been bugging me lately
So recently, I saw a poll on YouTube in which it was a bunch of characters who had the best absorption abilities, and Cell was second place behind Kirby in most of those polls I saw. So I wondered how powerful his absorption abilities were, especially when everyone in the fandom seems to treat Dragon Ball as the end-all-beat-all series of everything. So this is my question to Dragon Ball fans on 2 characters from my favorite series.
This made me think: Could Cell successfully be a Guyver? Let's start with the Guyvers. I acknowledge that standard Guyvers stand no real chance against the higher-tier Dragon Ball characters,
Scenario Imperfect Cell version 1 comes across Guyver-I and or Aptom in his rampage to find the Androids before he encounters Piccolo. Would he be able to absorb these 2 who are currently the 2 most powerful protagonists of the Guyver series or would he avoid them if he realized they were far more dangerous than he initially thought?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let me start with the Guyvers. These 3 are currently the only 3 living in the Manga and of course the live-action version
Now, Guyver Units typically aren't dangerous. In fact, they are typical pieces of equipment for the alien race (Advents/Creators/Uranus - yes, that's what they are sometimes called). They only become weapons when a sentient being touches the control medal in which it comes to life.
When it attaches to a sentient being, it stores a sample of the host's DNA in its Control Medal and turns it into the Guyver. Where that being's physical abilities increase 100-fold. Sure, he could absorb a human Guyver-Host, who is human until he calls the Guyver armor (host is in the top left corner, transforming into the blue armored figure you see).
But would Cell be able to absorb the Guyver into his being? Especially when the Guyver needs the Control Medal connected to the host brain to regulate and maintain its energy levels. You see with out that Control Medal, whether it is removed
or it is already damaged before activation and punched while malfunctioning
one of 2 things can happen, the Guyver turns
Into a mindless, bloodthirsty creature known as the Bio-Boosted Creature (seen here), or the energies will run so rampant the armor will eat the host alive until nothing remains.
But if Cell did find a way to do so and managed to fuse the Control Medal to his being, would his Android physiology be able to stop it from regenerating a totally new Guyver because it stores the host's DNA in it? Do you think Cell would successfully absorb a Guyver and add their abilities to his own or not risk it? If he was able to successfully integrate the Control Medal into his body to control his abilities, would all that energy he has overload the control medal and cause it to eat his body alive as it did Guyver-II, seen above
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Now, let's talk about the next character from the same series, Aptom. In the Guyver series, this guy is one of the most powerful beings, potentially rivaling all the Guyvers and possibly every Zoalord except for Alkanphel.
And that is saying something when there are Guyvers, Guyver-Gigantics, Gigantic-Exceeds, Zoalords, Zoanoids ranging from Sub-Standard Zoanoids (what I call the live-action Zoanoids) to Lost Number Zoanoids and Guyver-Killers - Zoanoids whose genetic properties were designed to melt Guyver Armor. He originally started off as a Zoanoid whose Optimization failed, turning him into a Lost Number - a Zoanoid that can't be mass-produced/replicated by Cronos/Kronos/Chronos (however you want to spell it). Because he was a failed Zoanoid
Cronos experimented on him to the point that he turned into something more than a Lost Number, severing his connection to Zoalords.
This guy can imitate Guyvers in appearance,
Because of being experimented on by Cronos he also gained the ability to absorb Zoanoids gaining their abilities and create battle forms based off the Zoanoids he absorbed as seen here
In this form, he fought and was eventually defeated by Guyver-I. He had an arm cut off, which he picked up and fused back to his body, which ironically was the only piece that remained after their fight, which regenerated Aptom's head and arm. He then started absorbing as many Zoanoids as possible, including the Hyper-Zoanoid Team 5 (seen here), starting with Elegen (the tentacled one). He never gets the chance to absorb Thancrus (the one with sword hands) because he is killed by Guyver-III, so his abilities are not allowed.
He attacks and attempts to absorb Archanphel in this clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfGMY6_IRkw). But even though he was blown to bits, his body parts attached and absorbed the 5 zoanoids in blue suits Alkanphel killed. He later infiltrates the Cronos base and kills Gaster, the pink one, off-screen/panel. He then manages to infect and take over Derzerb (the rhino looking Zoanoid) even with 99% of his Gaster-possessed body blown away by Zx-Tole turning into this form
Aptom Version-3, which this form is called, fought Zx-Tole and was severely damaged. When Zx-Tole was about to kill him, the last of Aptom's duplicates ambushed Zx-Tole grabbed ahold of his leg and started to absorb him til Zx-Tole blew off his own leg to get away. But that was enough for Aptom because all he needed was a tissue sample to absorb Zoanoid's abilities (regeneration from just a tissue sample is also possibly proven in the series and manga later on). Anyway, the last Aptom duplicate absorbs not just Zx-Tole's leg but also the upper torso of Version-3 to create this form
Now, in this form, he can degenerate himself in emergency situations but turn himself into a bunch of missiles and shoot them from his wrists and shoulders and have them form a new body in an attempt to retreat and regroup, which got him captured by Cronos later on, which a Zoalord found a way to control him. When Guyver-I and another Lost Number by the name of Bio-Freezer and Aptom's friend (because during his time with Cronos, Aptom and Lost Numbers were outcasts amongst all the other classes and became friends - so when he found out Bio-Freezer was a lost number he became protective of him)
attempted to rescue him.
He attacked them like he wasn't in control of his abilities like he typically was which became evident to to them and hatched a plan to sever a limb so it could regenerate the true Aptom.
As the battle climaxed, Bio-Freezer was injured and froze the Evil-Aptom," as he was called, including the piece inside him that started absorbing Bio-Freezer's body. The absorption and subsequent regeneration of Aptom enraged him towards Cronos even more but also gave him his latest form known as Aptom Omega Blast
He does share a form with Guyver-I, his most trusted ally now, and vice-versa, but that is mainly for infiltrating Cronos to speak to one of the more respected Zoalords or go on a stealth mission known as Guyver-Aption
Now that I have gone through all of his current forms, in which you can see all the different zoanoids he has absorbed and his regeneration,
A tissue sample like seen above, and given a chance, those 5 samples could regenerate into 5 Aptoms or infect 5 Zoanoids and take control of their bodies. Would Cell keep Aptom's ability to absorb him from the inside out at bay while adding Aptom's abilities to his own, or would Cell start to absorb him and realize he was dangerous to his own existence and not risk it? I'd like to know your thoughts.
Oh hey, the old 1989 OVA for Guyver. It was the better of the two anime series, between it and the 2005, frankly... (Not counting the Guyver-Out of Control movie.)
Uh-huh!? Uh-HUUUH!? You were SAYING!?
What is that noise!?
Huh...It kind of sounds like...
...A drill?
Drill?
...!?
!!!??
Huh?
HIFUMI, BENEATH YOU!
EEH!?
GRRGH!
*CRRRRRRRRAAASSSSHHH!* *VRRRRRRRRRR!*
WEEEEEEEEEEEEGGH!?
BACK UP!
What the hell is that!?
*Kyoko dive tackles Hifumi following Sayaka's shout, as a gargantuan metallic humanoid figure bursts out of the steel ground beneath him, almost shredding him with a drill attached to its arm! After it emerges, it flies up into the air!
*BOOOM!*
*It comes slamming to the ground, and lands at its full height.
Wait!? Th-That's-!?
Hero Robot Mark Guyver!?
Hero...What!?
One of the Warrior's of Hope's Robots!
Yeah! MY Robot!
But...What is it doing HERE!?
Don't you remember what we told you guys? We had to fight one of these things in the USA.
After the Demon Hunting game was over and the robots were scrapped, they were all picked up and salvaged by other organizations around the world. Zetsubou already utilized Fighter Robot Highlander the Great a few years back; I didn't know they had the Hero Robot too!
You know, I probably really should've cleaned those things up before I left for the moon.
Oh YOU THINK!?
But why's it here now? And why does it look...bulkier...?
...Because someone's inside it...!
Huh!?
Zetsubou have turned the remote control robot into fully-automated mech suit! You can tell by the readjustments to it's body, and there's a hatch on the front that can be opened.
Burning of the Zetsubou Witch: Part 1.
[Meanwhile...]
Are you sure you're doing alright, Makoto?
I'll be fine. I got a little banged up, but it's nothing I can't shake off.
It's Kuripa I'm worried about.
...By any chance, did he tell you...
About his condition? Yeah, he did, and to be honest, I'm really angry he never told me before. Just because he doesn't feel pain, that doesn't mean it has no effect on his body! How's he supposed to know when he's reaching his limit, or when he's really in danger and needs to back out!?
I know WHY he didn't, and hell, he's got every right to keep his secrets, but I don't think he really appreciates just how much trust I put in him.
Given that you're one of like, 5 people who DO genuinely trust him in full, I'm sure he's at least acutely aware.
Listen Makoto. Kuripa might be a reckless moron, but you don't need to worry about him.
Even if he doesn't beat Gyalusetsu again, he'll do his job in holding him off for a while. And he'll come back in one piece, like he always does.
...Yeah...You're right.
Um...Well...To manage your expectations, I wouldn't bet Kuripa coming back "in one piece"...
Huh!?
But he WILL come back. He always does.
R-Right...
Don't worry Makoto. Kuripa's survived Gyalusetsu many times already. He can handle himself.
I know he can handle himself...I just...
Wish he didn't feel like he HAD to...
...
Uchui, why do you SAY this shit! Look at what you did! Spouting ominous words like that!
Sorry, I was just saying!
Yeah, well STOP saying!
Come on, you know what Kuripa's like, he has no regard for his own safety! It might be a harsh truth, but it's still the truth!
Let's just get to the hangar while he's taking care of the hard part for us.
Aw man, I really wish you hadn't said that.
Why not?
Because every time someone says that, something even worse than the "hard part" pops out, and we have to deal with it! It's narrative law!
I mean, I get that, but that guy back there was like...a super-assassin or something, right? What could be worse than that-!?
Kanonball, SHUSH! Are you trying to get us in trouble!?
Relax Yasu, this isn't some kind of comic book. I'm sure we'll be-
*RRRRRRRMMMMMM...!*
...fine?
