Mmm.. I’m thinking bout Jean (friends to lovers?) We scheduled to grab dinner and a few drinks on Tuesday after work. I (Michi) failed to realize that it lands on Valentine’s Day. Very typical. I just thought we were hanging out like we do every other week but the names of the cocktails tonight were questionable.

I imagine I’d wear a coat over my satin button up and straight pant. Paired with end of day loose curls, ≤ 3” heels, and gold accessories. I really like the cozy browns, beiges, and pearl whites.

Michi my darling dearest meimei!!! Jiejie adores you for sending me a request <3 jiejie is very sorry for taking so long to do this ;AAA; still, I had fun searching up different cocktail names that were fitting for a Valentine's Day night out hehe.

Replying your last message, you kept your phone in your purse before making your way over to the bar you and Jean were supposed to meet.

Jean was the one who found this new bar and said it was a perfect hangout spot for drinks after work. He was also the one who suggested to meetup on Tuesday night. Everyone initially agreed to the meetup, but then, Sasha suddenly said she had other plans that evening, Connie said he was sick, Mikasa had to work OT, Eren needed to fetch his older brother from the airport, and Armin was stuck in a very bad traffic jam.

Coincidence much? You thought to yourself, looking at your watch again before picking up speed, the click clack of your heels loud and clear against the pavement. You took off your coat while waiting for the traffic, hanging it over your arm as the lights turned green.

Seeing how a gathering for seven friends became a dinner for two, Jean was about to cancel the dinner when you texted him saying that you were already on the way. You didn't have the heart to cancel on Jean at the last minute too, and you were really looking forward to trying the drinks as well (Jean kept saying they had really interesting cocktails).

I'm here, you texted Jean before looking up, seeing him standing right before you with his phone in his hand.

"Hey, Michi," Jean grinned, giving you a hug before shrugging out of his jacket. "Looking pretty."

"Hey, you." You smiled in return, feeling yourself getting warmer after that hug from Jean (or was it because he said you looked pretty?). You thought Jean smelt a little different than usual as well (did he change his cologne? you thought to yourself). Jean pushed the door of the pub and ushered you in. The bar was surprisingly empty, and there were only a few tables occupied with patrons.

"Are you sure this place is good? It's so empty." You joked, earning a frown from Jean as he took his seat beside you.

"Of course it's good," Jean rolled his eyes, "trust me."

Shrugging, you decided to look through the menu. They did have the pretty standard starters and finger food. What caught your eye were the drinks. Jean was right, they did have a few peculiar cocktails you've not heard of. A staff then approached your table and took your order.

Jean ordered some fried calamari rings, beef loaded fries, truffle fries, and a cocktail called Love Struck. Taking down Jean's order, the staff turned to look at you. You ordered a side of gyoza, grilled chicken skewers and an interesting cocktail called Cupid's Arrow. The staff raised his brow after writing down your order.

"Do you both want to get our Valentine's promotion instead? It comes with two cocktails of your choice and five starters, same thing you're ordering but cheaper." You jumped after hearing the word 'Valentine's', feeling your cheeks heat up again. Even with the neon lights everywhere, you could tell Jean' was turning red too.

"Umm.... v-va-valentine's—"

"We'll take it, thank you," you quickly snapped the menu close and passed them back to the staff. He gave you two another look and walked off. The silence between you two felt heavier with each passing second.

"Valentine's s-special, huh," Jean broke the silence. You avoided his eye. Suddenly, everything made perfect sense. Everyone ditched tonight's gathering on purpose to set you and Jean up. Jean seemed to realise it as well. "I'm going to kill Connie and Sasha when I see them." Before you could interject, the staff came back with your cocktails and food.

"Cupid's Arrow for the lady," the staff placed your drink before you, "and Love Struck for the man." he placed Jean's drink on the table followed by all the food. "Enjoy your date." The staff grinned before leaving again. Silence ensued once more.

"Some date, huh," Jean looked at you sheepishly before taking a sip out of his drink.

"It's fine, Jean, don't worry." You assured him and took some truffle fries. You had a burning question at the back of your mind, and you were dying to ask him about it. "Did you, uh, get a new cologne?" Jean looked at you.

"Y-yeah. Yeah, Mich, I did." Jean leaned closer and you could smell his cologne again. The scent was too familiar, and it was making your heart skip a few beats. "It's the one you told me to get. You know, when we went out to get Mikasa's birthday present together the other day. You said you liked this."

(Ah, yeah, that day when you both went out and decided to get Mikasa a bottle of perfume, only to have the attendant mistake you and Jean for a couple instead.)

"Oh, r-right. Yeah." You replied meekly, eating your food in small nibbles. Dinner progressed through, yet there was a raging war going in your head. The warmth in your heart hearing Jean's praise, the softness in your steps after being in his embrace. Worst of all, his alluring scent tugging at your heartstrings during the entire dinner.

"Jean," you called him again once you both stepped out of the bar after dinner, "did you wear this cologne on purpose?" Jean stopped in his track and after a few seconds, he started laughing instead. Slowly, he took a few steps forward, trapping you against the wall and leaving you nowhere to run.

"What do you think?" Jean whispered dangerously close to your ear, making you pick up the scent of his cologne again. "You told me you liked it, didn't you? 'Course I had to wear something nice today."

"It w-was your idea, isn't it? Getting everyone to ditch us?" You questioned him again, feeling your resolve break down bit by bit. Without warning, Jean gave you a boyish grin and suddenly grabbed your hand, pulling you ahead.

"W-where are we going?"

"Somewhere else. Our date isn't over yet, Michi."

I think I was imagining you and Jean as a couple in a Korean drama OOPS indeed Jean does channel a bit of that vibes sometimes haha. Also, idk if these cocktails are indeed special because I don't drink and I only know the names of basic cocktails HAHAH.

This boy is very pure.

He likes calling you kinda generic, but still sweet stuff like honey, baby, sweetie, dear, etc!

He usually just calls you by your first name though, and uses nicknames when he's being super romantic. It's either on purpose or totally on accident, and there's no in-between.

I can just see you two being out on a date, and you catching him staring at you-

You ask him what's up and he hits you with the:

You may’ve expected something that sounds more elegant, but she likes giving you super cutesy nicknames!

Some other examples are muffin, my lovely, fawn, and more!

When you’re in a more public setting she does tone down the cuteness though.
