Stargate: Ha'tak Class Goa'uld Mothership | Ship Breakdown

Hey, artists!
One of my favorite bits of Stargate trivia concerns the aliens main starship. It's called a Ha'tak class, and for those unfamiliar, this is what it looks like:
It's the main ship the Goa'uld use, and we see dozens of them through the course of SG1, and even in Stargate Universe.
They're huge, and powerful, and one of the main features is that it can land on pyramids. That pyramid in the middle is hollow, we see this occasionally in the rare times we get an underside view. We've also seen it perform such a landing in at least one episode (as well as landing on a mountain).
That is not the trivia, though... this is-
Look at it. The pyramid is the wrong shape. It's only three sided, and can't actually perform one of it's main features.
They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not over a million on developing this ship. From the sketch phase, to miniatures, to CG modeling, and rendering, and this got passed them all the way to completion (or at passed the point they couldn't change it without sinking a ton more money into it). And we know this was a mistake, as the episode when we see it landing, it's a different model only for the landing scenes. (And I believe the designers have also admitted as such, but I cannot provide sources for that)
So, next time you complete a piece of artwork, step back and realize you made a glaring (to you) mistake, think about this. Even professionals can make huge mistakes. And chances are, you never noticed the mistake in the Ha'tak, until I pointed it out to you.
Please don't let your mistake bother you too much.
