Daedalus and Minos both suck. I kind of hope they finish each other off. Minos killed many people, but Daedalus killed Minos and his nephew (if not more, if we say all those who died in the labyrinth have his blood on their hands). They both suck. Both have lots of blood on their hands.

Sonic Destruction Full Semi-Coherent Lore/Plot Summary
Had to extrapolate a lot in some places but I'm happy with how this turned out. Please watch the original videos.
Please feel free to share any questions about contradictions or plot points I didn't cover.
Years ago, an unknown government began the Daedalus Initiative, a project to produce a super soldier. Headed by Gerald Robotnik, who saw it as a path to his personal goal of creating the "Ultimate Lifeform," the Initiative aimed to achieve this by creating a being that combined the attributes of a human and a hedgehog. In order to achieve this, though, they had to collect hedgehog genetic material…so their eyes fell on Soleanna.
The kingdom of Soleanna (which was maybe ruled by a royal family of humans? I'm not 100% convinced Destruction!Elise isn't a hedgehog herself) was a haven for hedgehog-kind. The kingdom's young princess, Elise, was very close friends with a young black hedgehog named Shadow.
One day, though, when the two were on a class trip, the Daedalus Initiative sent their country's military to kidnap hedgehogs. The military was led by Gerald's son Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.
While they technically succeeded in this, Shadow among those captured, the mission went south and Soleanna ended up razed, which Eggman became the scapegoat for. Elise was left behind in the ruins, left to lament the loss of her home and her best friend.
It's unknown how many beings were produced by the Daedalus Initiative while it was active, but at least three would be created and go on to live through the Initiative's destruction. All three were at least partially clones from Shadow the Hedgehog and possessed some of his memories, particularly of Elise.
First was an exact duplicate of Shadow. Second was a being who, despite not being considered the Daedalus Initiative's biggest success, grew fiercely devoted to the Initiative's mission, to the point where he named himself "Daedalus." Third was the culmination of the Initiative's work--Silver the Hedgehog. Despite appearing to be just a white hedgehog, he apparently possessed enough human traits to be considered the first true success of the Initiative.
There was something more to Silver, though. Somehow, he developed psychic powers that led the Initiative--composed of scientists, remember--to conclude that he was an incarnation of Satan himself. It's unclear how and why this happened--if this was the natural result of a "hedgehog with a human mind," if Satan deliberately chose to manifest through Silver, or if it was a freak coincidence--but in any case, Silver the Hedgehog was the Devil himself.
Despite this demonic hiccup, things proceeded well enough for a time--until Daedalus interfered. Deciding the Initiative's leaders weren't harnessing Silver's psychic powers enough, he set about testing and training Silver to unlock his full potential. However, this ultimately resulted in Silver's powers going haywire and obliterating much of the Initiative--not just destroying it, but wiping most of it from existence.
The only known survivors were Gerald Robotnik, Shadow, Shadow 2, Daedalus, and Silver himself. Daedalus used his own powers to make the others think he had died, while Silver's memories were scrambled further through psychic trauma from the event.
The government collected what few files remained and wrote off the Daedalus Initiative, successfully covering it up--with one exception. As a fun side project, some of the Initiative's staff had created a video game with Shadow as the protagonist, and this game was eventually leaked to the public. The government took advantage of this and had it officially published, hoping it would help muddy the waters around the Initiative further--though they were perpetually annoyed at this symbol of their failure.
Gerald would go on to become the right-hand man of his son, Dr. Eggman. Since leaving the military in the wake of the Soleanna disaster, he had become a scientist himself and now sought to conquer the world through robots. On the side, Gerald continued his mission of creating the Ultimate Lifeform, now deciding to create a brand-new creature rather than a derivative of pre-existing species.
The Eggman Empire was opposed by the hero Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, who would eventually be joined by Shadow and Silver. Shadow 2 decided he wanted to live a normal life and stayed out of the action and adventure. (Sonic, incidentally, would become the protagonist of a series of video games spun off from the Shadow game.)
Daedalus, meanwhile, began to study magic (inspired by Silver's demonic powers) through the writings of the Harbingers, a cult that worshipped the evil god Dark Gaia. He became obsessed with prophecy, concluding the Daedalus Initiative's mission was a divine one and that a "human hedgehog" would be the herald of the end times. He also came to believe, though, that Silver was only a stepping stone to that.
Daedalus composed a "Book of Prophecies" and set about gathering resources and allies to fulfill his prophecies and bring about doomsday. In particular, he killed Shadow and impersonated him to manipulate "Team Sonic."
Daedalus's chance came when Eggman began preparing his most elaborate and dangerous plan yet. Princess Elise had learned Shadow was still alive and tried to find him, but she was intercepted by Eggman and brainwashed into thinking Shadow had destroyed Soleanna.
Eggman prepared for an attack on the city of Station Square--Elise, riding a robot dragon, would lead an army of his newest robots, with Gerald's complete Ultimate Lifeform in the wings as a secret weapon.
Daedalus manipulated Sonic into infiltrating the Gunhold alone while his friends fought Elise and the robots. This led to Sonic fighting the Ultimate Lifeform on a ship en route to the city. As Sonic's friends weren't prepared to fight without him, the battle went poorly and Station Square was decimated.
Eggman, already having doubts about the effects of his efforts on the world, was horrified by the level of destruction and made a truce with Team Sonic and Jason King, the mayor of Station Square (who had previously defended Eggman when he was on trial for Soleanna's destruction, despite believing Eggman did do it).
Ultimately, Sonic sacrificed himself to destroy the Ultimate Lifeform and Elise's dragon in one fell swoop, his body carried off into space by Eggman's ship afterwards. Elise was freed from her brainwashing and asked to go back home to Soleanna with "Shadow." He complied in order to keep his cover.
Eggman's ship was intercepted by Daedalus's minions. Sonic, in his current state, was vulnerable to an unholy ritual that would both revive him and transform him into a human, which Daedalus believed was the true way to fulfill his prophecy. The resurrected human Sonic was returned to Station Square while Jason King met with Eggman and some of Sonic's friends.
Thanks to some brainwashing making him more evil and vicious, Sonic was compelled to kill Jason King and take over the city (as the prophecy's next step regarded the human-hedgehog killing "a king standing among his burning kingdom" and conquering said "kingdom"), but Sonic resisted enough to leave King alive and fled.
Later, Sonic managed to rendezvous with "Shadow" and Chaotix. Sonic was overwhelmed with everything that had happened, especially the alterations to his mind he still struggled to resist. Daedalus, set off by Sonic's "self-righteousness," accidentally exposed himself and subsequently revealed the real Shadow was dead.
Daedalus, despite his anger at his prophecy being subverted, had other matters on his mind. He needed to find and kill Gerald, who knew the most about the Initiative and had the best chance of devising a plan against Daedalus.
He used his connections as Shadow with the government surveillance group Chaotix to track down Gerald, who had fled during the Station Square attack to a research station called Skygard. Gerald managed to escape, though, and fled to Station Square.
While this happened, Silver's exposure to the Shadow video game sparked some of his memories about being a clone of Shadow. Silver explained Shadow's history to Knuckles the Echidna, though since his memories were still scrambled, he couldn't recall all the details and his explanation was very confusing.
Eggman then used a device of his to hook the minds of Sonic's friends into the Shadow the Hedgehog video game, hoping they could comb through the code to find secrets about the Daedalus Initiative, but something went wrong and everyone present save for Jason King was knocked out.
Gerald arrived and explained the full history of the Daedalus Initiative to King. While King questioned whether he should kill Silver for being the Devil, Eggman and Team Sonic woke up. However, the accident caused Knuckles and Miles "Tails" Prower's minds to devolve into bestial, non-sapient animals.

A fascinating evolution of the Daedalus/Olympic class. I like the placement of the Sphere and overall balance of the ship, unlike the somewhat awkward Daedalus. I'm not entirely sure what the Sphere is, getting kind of a solar panels/greenhouse vibe but I suspect it's all sensors?

Prime Asset Predictions
All of these are like, drawn from things inside the game so far, especially event stuff (spoilers for the event)
These might all mean nothing, but I do think the names can't really be a coincidence here? Idk. Just noticed some interesting theming and wanna see if I can predict what the "deal" with our new Prime Assets will be ☺️
Firstly, the new room decor.
Tumblr media
Medea is from Greek mythology, and actually has a connection to the Minotaur, as @alien-atomz discovered! She is the niece of the mother of the Minotaur, as well as being the granddaughter of the sun god Helios. The room includes a fake sun on the ceiling and obviously the Relapse Catalogue also has a cute lil sun mirror, so interesting to see some sun imagery injected into the game there.
But I believe that the person on the Minotaur's back is our Medea.
Medea's story in greek myth is interesting. She married Jason from the Argonauts after helping him defeat her father and betraying her home for him, only for him to go on to leave her for a princess. Medea poisons the princess and the king, as well as her and Jason's own kids, before leaving him to marry someone else. Jason later dies, crushed by the mast of his own ship I think.
The Minotaur is obviously a different type of tragedy. A king was gifted a bull by the gods to sacrifice to them, but he really fuckin loved that bull and tried to trick the gods by sacrificing another. They obviously know it's not the special cow and enchant the king's wife to be in love with the bull. She is given a cow costume (I THINK made by Daedalus???) in order to trick the bull into fucking her and she gives birth to the Minotaur. The king is furious, has him locked in a labyrinth and sends in maidens to satisfy his aggression, he is later killed by Theseus.
Tumblr media
The name of these plants is "Quarantine's Pastime", and who has been in quarantine since before LATHE 2 because he has syphilis? Whitehorn.
Tumblr media
"Fiddy" or "Fiddle Leaf", known to purify air.
Tumblr media
"Potter" can mean someone who makes pottery or has potted this particular plant, but "Potter" also has another meaning
Tumblr media
I believe that the person behind Whitehorn might be a relative or partner (or both*), who is particularly interested in gardening. I imagine the mechanic for this character might revolve around poison, maybe in a gas form, maybe something else. Similar to Toxic Shock perhaps? Whitehorn (or our Minotaur) is a heavy hitter, likely big and bulky, but slow. Our Medea doesn't deal much damage, clinging to the Minotaur, but laces items or places around the maps, maybe the traps have poison powder. The last name "Kress" in Kress Chemical and Kress Estate is, as I've mentioned before, obviously a type of plant or vegetable.
Maybe Prescott Whitehorn married the daughter of Kress Chemical. Maybe Prescott Whitehorn is cousins with the Kress family, or that's his niece or nephew or something.
*It could also be incestuous. @outlastingthetrials pointed out how ironic or interesting it would be if these well-to-do people, far richer and upper class than the other Primes, were actually in an incestuous relationship. Potentially to keep the bloodline pure if they're weird old money types, or a link to European royalty perhaps. But I agree, I think that would be a super interesting dynamic to explore. Maybe an Uncle and Niece? That's also pretty common in Greek Mythology.
Also I find the "Politics" document interesting, as with the "Prime Time II" ones. I think we're getting a JFK ending for SURE, but maybe also either a Reagent or maybe even Whitehorn himself running for President? Ensuring that Murkoff controls the entire country? Feels a little far fetched, but Avellanos seems to be hinting at that, at least to me.
Idk, maybe this is all complete nonsense and I've completely thrown random shit together for nothing.
Compels me though.

this is a small glossary with all the terminology i used in my newest shauna fic. if you haven't read it yet you can check it out here <33
Tumblr media
Icarus: The wealthiest district in the city. Reality overlays are used to hide the lower-class zones—residents of Icarus can't see the city’s decay unless they disable the filters. Clean skies, artificial sun, and shiny chrome everywhere. The illusion is expensive—and tightly controlled. The best cyberdocs work in this zone.
Devine: The “in-between” district of the city. A dense, grimy sector where most mercs, scavengers, and tech dealers live. Not exactly lawless, but too chaotic for corporate comfort. Street markets and second-hand cyberware vendors are common in this zone.
Eden: The lowest and most dangerous district. Black-market weapons and surgeries—which are performed with cyberware stolen from clinics and corpses, most of the time infected with viruses—outlaw AIs, and ruined buildings.
Cog: A derogatory term for people who are augmented. Implies they're no longer human, just replaceable parts in a machine.
Daedalus Paramedics: Premium medical care. They charge a subscription in exchange for rescue and treatment, no questions asked. Fast and efficient. Pretty much like the Trauma Team from Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberdocs: Medics who install cyberware implants. Only the ones who work in Icarus are officially licensed, but all of them know what they're doing—most of the time, at least. Basically the same as Ripperdocs.
Asclepius: A multinational corporation that specializes in pharmaceuticals, bioengineering, and nanotechnology. Officially, they create miracles for the less fortunate. Unofficially, they create dependencies on cyber implants.
Reality overlays (ROs): Augmented reality filters used to “beautify” grim reality. Rust turns into gold, ruins become skyscrapers, and poverty vanishes with just a flicker of code.
Double-X: Stimulants that enhance senses, boost cognitive abilities, and push the body past its limits. The legal way to acquire them is to buy them in Icarus from an official retailer. They're sold a lot cheaper—and dirtier—on the black market. Comes in blue tabs, marked with two white Xs on them.
Eclipse: A small sub-district between Devine and Eden. Home to cheap junk dealers, dingy underground bars and unregulated cyberdocs who can patch you up for free, but risk a data infection, or worse.
Sahara: Sub-district in the outskirts of Eden, where illegal drift racing, gambling, and drug dealing is more common than one might imagine. The police don't bother stopping them anymore.
Clean-Skin: Slang for someone with no cyberware.
Infinite Purity: Radical anti-augmentation group. Most of the group's members are edgy kids and orphans turned rebels who hate augmented people. They are responsible for multiple acts of vandalism and assault. Similar to Purity First from Deus Ex.
Soul Burn: A common side effect of stimulants. Manifests as memory fragments bleeding into real-time vision.
EMP ammo: Bullets that can cause serious physical damage, but are mainly designed to disrupt electronic devices and systems, in this case, cyberware.
Loop: A luxury narcotic, similar to morphine. Fabricated in Sahara.
Red Sun: Sub-district in Devine. One of the safest neighborhoods.

Tumblr media
Well, hello, I’m back. The tubi streaming channel has lots of old shows for me to get nostalgic on like Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, 6teen and the like. It also has shows that I didn’t watch when I was a kid but I’m now nostalgic for them. The latest is Class of the Titans.
Done ironically in the same number of years as Rick Riordan’s first Percy Jackson series, the show focuses on the descendants of seven Greek heroes prophesied to defeat Cronus, Jay (Jason), Odie (Odysseus), Herry (Hercules), Theresa (Theseus), Atlanta, Archie (Achilles) and Neil (Narcissus). Now I’m usually very picky about my Greek myth shows but I enjoyed this so let’s get to it. Some spoilers ahead.
While the names are a bit too on the nose, I do enjoy the teens. More for their dynamics rather than their development.
It’s clear that the higher ups wanted this to be episodic so they couldn’t change the status quo, much less have overt changes like Jay and Theresa acting like an actual couple, Neil being less narcissistic and so on. They’re dynamics between each other are well done. I ship Jay and Theresa, Atlanta and Archie grew on me, the brotherhood between the boys were clear.
I just wish they mixed it up some more like Theresa and Herry being brother and sister during Bows and Eros or the Neil and Odie odd couple in There Will Be GI Ants. Even a Jay, Herry and Atlanta episode since they seemed to be friends in the pilot.
Also, it felt like a predominant amount of redheads in the show, it was noticeable. Like did they have something against blondes, even random characters other than Athena and Archie had purple hair.
I love the puns with myths like Grae’s Anatomy, Class of the Titans and so on. I wish the school could have been integrated better. Like it was in the first few episodes but they spent so much time on training and side missions, I forgot they also have to balance school work. Like they never interact with other people. X-Men Evolution handled this sort of thing well and it’s a shame Class of the Titans couldn’t.
But I will say I enjoyed how the show rarely tried to retell myths in a contemporary setting. Rather the myths happened, and the teens use research of the mythological history to battle the aftermath of old enemies coming for revenge.
But there were definitely a few filler episodes like Cronus’ Flying Circus. Never heard of the myth of ?, but I felt bad that they didn’t do anything to help him regain his power at the end. And there wasn’t much character development or plot progress to make it matter. I will say Neil saved it with his hijinks. Same with the GI Ant one, felt very out there. Breathtaking Beauty felt out of character for Neil to pull such a hurtful prank, but then town known stuck in the 50s made it feel more like a Twilight Zone episode. I guessed they saved it with having the villain be the Sphinx but it felt too little too late.
However, there were plenty of episodes I enjoyed. In season one, the three episode pilot was solid. The Nature of Things was good as I liked Pan’s incarnation here. Same for Field of Nightmares with Medea or Medelia as they have here, and resolving the Athena and Arachne rivalry in Web of Deceit. Eye for an Eye, Road to Hades and The Last Word were good character development episodes for the teens.
In season two, Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself was a good showcase for Archie with him literally breaking down in tears and then pulling through it. He’s the one with the big tough guy facade so having him really struggle through fear felt like a real hero’s journey. Just as Cronus Vanquished, Dreamweaver and Cronus 2.0 added to the plot. Other episodes I enjoyed were Applet of Discord, Daedalus or Alive, Face Off, and Like a Rolling Stone. Omg, that reminds me. The model off between Neil and Adonis, that was based on Zoolander right? The slow motion when they passed each other? Neil’s goofy moves. Total Zoolander.
I enjoyed the new takes on several of the gods like them having less powers because no one worships them anymore. Dionysus putting his drinking into chemistry, Persephone having a dark side, Pan as a dj, Sacamander and Hecate’s creatively monstrous designs, Eris reinvented as a anarchy punk, Fortuna, an aging showgirl, Thanatos as an old man turned skeleton, Maysarus learning his lesson and helping the gods rather than be on their bad side (plus looking like a theater teacher lol) and so on. Plus I learned new things like the myth like Sybaris and Lycaon.
Tumblr media
Cronus is so well done with literally not being able to be killed because no one can kill time and his voice actor is an amazing mix of menacing and bad guy arrogance snark. He has his sickles!
But for as much research they did into the myths, there were some points where they just disregarded it? For some reason? Like Harmonia being a big snake? I like the idea she’s a jazz listening hippie but the goddess has no relation to snakes so I didn’t get that. Also naming Eris as Aphrodite’s daughter. I know it was probably for a joke but like it’s been in no myths. I’ve seen Eris as the daughter of Nyx, the daughter of Ares, the sister of Ares, but no relation to Aphrodite. And while it’s cool that they showed Hermes and Autolycus being father-son, no mention of Hermes’ relation to Pan. Like Pan is literally Hermes’ first son.
And then other things such as when they mention Athena’s the goddess of warfare, true. But she’s also the goddess of wisdom! Like literally her goddess of warfare refers to strategy planning and the wisdom put into it. Absolutely no mention of it. Or when they went back into time to the war between gods and Titans and they show Zeus flying on Pegasus. Pegasus was born after the war from the union Poseidon and Medusa.
Same with Theresa having psychic powers even though Theseus has no relation to that. Or Neil with his luck, just Narcissus being considered a hero in general. He wasn’t a hero in his myth, he was the lesson. Hell, he might have been considered the douche in his own story. But I forgive it because he’s so like Kuzco that he’s hilarious.
I know it might sound nitpicky but it felt very half half where some myths were researched and reinvented well, and other myths disregarded for the sake of plot. Like go all in or not.
I know the second season finale doesn’t have the proper build up, I agree. But I could see what they were trying to do. Like in the premiere, Theresa was the one who was most okay with returning to normal life. And when Theresa said that she’s tired of being told she has so much power, but feels useless when needed most, I could see that. Like in season one with Neil getting kidnapped all the time, it did feel like in season 2 Theresa was kidnapped or used as bait a disproportionate amount of time.
I do appreciate that the show doesn’t keep her a damsel in distress in these situations and has her get out on her own merits in the end or halfway through, but it was noticeable. If they had build on that, the wish to be normal, the annoyance with her increasingly complicated powers, and have the other teens chime in about growing irritation of fighting enemies of the gods on their behalf, then the conflict would have been stronger.
Plus was I the only one who noticed the similarities with the X-men’s Phoenix Saga? I mean team’s resident psychic power redhead taps into their primal power with a floating avatar and goes crazy and dies. And in relationship with the leader guy of the team. Very similar. Though this is a kids show so Theresa gets to be resurrected.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the finale. I was happy for Neil when he finally got a weapon. I laughed when the gods became mortal, and confused. Same when they got arrested. I gasped when Theresa stabbed Zeus and made him mortal. I briefly wasn’t sure how the kids would succeed to save the day. I awwwd when Jay and Theresa had their big damn kiss. Also love the twist with Cronus realizing that the prophecy has been technically fulfilled, leaving a whole new ballgame for the future. I just wish all the kids got a moment to show their prowess.
So overall, it’s a mixed bag with more pros than cons. It’s good enough that I wouldn’t mind if it got a reboot and I have ideas of how to streamline it and flesh it out. See below.
One thing that annoyed me a lot was how on their own the kids were. They all got transferred to a new school, new dorms and we hardly hear from their parents. Especially Jay with him mentioning that his mother’s a Greek immigrant. She could have appeared from time to time or with a phone call, giving relevant exposition of myths or something. And we rarely see their ‘normal live’ that they supposedly want to get back to after saving the world. So I would try to fold that in more. Also do they even have last names?
I would have Jay, Atlanta and Herry all living in the same town and school but they don’t know each other well. They all know they have Greek ancestry and Jay’s mom in particular tried to get him to be friends with them. He’s like “Mom, I’m not going to be friends with them just because they’re the only other Greek families in town. Come on!”
When the gods called about them transferring to New Olympia by saying how state of art it was, and a chance for them to become more connected to their heritage, their parents jumped on it seeing it as a way for them to stand out on college apps and get to know their heritage.
Theresa’s dad was too busy to care why his daughter wanted to transfer, he just handed the money. Same with Neil’s parents. Archie’s foster parents were all too happy to have him go to another dorm.
Jay Constantini is an average, has several friends. Works after school on his fishing boat. Plans to follow that when he’s older even though his father died from early on. Generally working class, was fascinated by his mother’s stories when he was little. Calls every week.
Herry Solórzano is obviously on the wrestling team, and several other sports. His friends are his teammates but he doesn’t spend much time with them since after school he heads home to help his grandmother who raised him after his parents died. Proud of his athleticism, teddy bear to everyone, average grades. Since New Olympia is nearby, he visits often.
Atlanta Dean is the star of her school’s cross country team, and works as a field guide for a scouts troupe. But she’s kinda a loner. Others feel she’s too intense, too competitive, too fierce. The only place she feels like she’s truly herself is when she’s amidst nature. They call every week.
Theresa Kelly’s mother died when she was in middle school, Dad didn’t know how to cope with a child and being CEO so sent her to boarding school where she worked out her restlessness with shopping and martial arts. Average grades, very popular.
Odie Jefferson’s parents are scientists and he inherited their brains and tendency of geeking out over code. They’re quite close and they encouraged his studies so he skipped several grades. That meant he didn’t make many friends his own age, and he tried to tell himself that he preferred his studies. They call whenever they’re not busy under research deadlines.
Archie Black was a foster kid, transferred to different homes and schools. He doesn’t trust easily and was quick to get into fights. The teens and gods are his first real feeling of being part of a family.
Neil Priozo had been modeling since he was a baby when he got scouted at the mall. His parents encouraged it as he got older and were proud of him getting so many gigs. He eventually became a emancipated minor, not because he doesn’t love them. It just makes it easier for him to travel around solo and they’re okay with that. I see them as rich, yet distant. Sort of love him like a pet than a son to keep track of.
Tumblr media
I would also feature more of the gods. Apollo’s only in one episode! One, no muses, no Orpheus, no friendly sibling rivalry with Artemis. So many opportunities. They could have literally had a musical episode with him. Show each mentor mentee relationship more in depth. We rarely get to see Artemis and Atlanta together. While Hera is Jay’s patron like in the myth, I’d have Athena give her wisdom too.
Show Hestia, show Selene, show Helios, there are so many gods, make it a party. Also with the mention of Team Anubis, can we have like one episode guest stars of the Egyptian pantheon, and the Norse, and the Roman. Just one episode, to give it a little flavor other than Greeks.
Season 1 would have Odie, Archie, and Neil going over a season long character arc of what it means to be a hero. Odie suffers over the idea that he isn’t as useful to the team because of his brains over brawn and learns to get over the insecurity. Archie would take longer to trust the other teens and won’t get over his jerky, combative attitude until halfway through the series when he comes to see the others really do have his back and they are family. Neil won’t fully change (he wouldn’t be as hilarious if he did let’s face it) but he’s definitely become the heart of the group somehow and realize saving the world is just as important as protecting his complexion.
The other teens would also have their spotlight episodes like Jay realizing he can be a leader, Atlanta proving Ares/Archie’s sexism wrong and so on. They’d all face their insecurities about whether they’re ready or not to be heroes.
For Theresa in particular, I’d amend her psychic powers. They took over so much over the course of the series that she felt less like the fighter, descendent of Theseus but the daughter of an Oracle. So I’d have her be one of the main fighters at first with Poseidon as her mentor, not Persephone.
But the longer she is around the dorm, she starts developing her powers. The gods realize she’s also a descendant of Hecate. Very little so she’s not like a demigod but she has the potential for it. Normally, humans that descend from minor gods don’t get to develop those powers beyond parlor tricks but considering the circumstances, they have Theresa start training with Persephone in season two.
The same would be for Neil, being a descendant of Narcissus on one side, and Fortuna in a diluted way.
Actually I’d have that the main seven weren’t the only potential heroes. There are descendants of Greek heroes running around like a descendant of Helen, a descendant of Heskepolis, descendant of Perseus (that they never have in the show even though he’s one of the more famous myths and Greek heroes!!!) who the gods picked up to be one of the seven only for Cronus to cut him down. It will establish that Cronus is a baddie not to be messed with. Thus Neil becomes his replacement. They could have a bit of a dark humor with Hermes whipping out a scroll of potential canidates and realize others have been vanquished by Cronus, too old, language barrier and thus they’re left with Neil.
I also have the idea that the descendant of Perseus could have been a buddy of Archie’s, so when he’s killed early on, Archie is even more distrustful of the gods yet he also wants to avenge his friend. Sort of like the myth of Achilles and Agamemnon in the Trojan War.
Side note: Also thinking that Archie and Atlanta could be bi. Originally, I thought they should just make Atlanta gay because like in the myth, the guy Atlanta is paired with is proving to be less worthy of her. Yet they grew on me the way they skated around, challenged each other, and so on. Even though I still think Archie’s whole “deserve to have you” attitude around Pan and in The Deep End is less desirable. So let’s make them both bi. And have above friend of Archie killed, also be his bf. Actually let’s have Herry join the bi team too just like his ancestor.
Side side note: Neil is gay. I mean I think it’s practical canon in the series, but here he’s definitely gay. Even though the first man he loves is himself.

Season two will have the kids feeling more cocky about saving the world. They feel more prepared yet after having officially saved it the first time, there’s a bit more reluctance this time around. Like they want to be ready yet it’s also getting irritating that all the former enemies of the gods are coming into town to settle their beefs, and the teens are sent off to fight the battles for the gods. Like it’s never ending, and they don’t get to rest on their laurels before the next scheme from Cronus.
If the former season is the teens facing their insecurities about becoming heroes, this will be the season of them facing their flaws.
Jay, and Theresa will be the ones with the season long arc. Jay in feeling that he’s a failure of a leader will become more obsessed, doubling down on training like we saw in Cronus 2.0. Let’s also have him feel like he’s a failure as a son too in Mother Knows Best, feeling conflicted that there’s so much of his life he no longer shares with her. Theresa is becoming more involved in her psychic training, but as her powers prove complicated and unreliable, she becomes more resentful of the responsibility leading to the events of the finale.
This can tie to Theseus and how he was quite power hungry in the original myths, like having royal lineage wasn’t enough, he wanted divine lineage and his whole life was about proving himself to be the best. So that could be another flaw for her, she likes the powers but hates not being able to control it so she seeks out more like that’ll solve the problem.
The other teens also become resentful of having to fight the gods’ battles for them or deal with the ugly aftermath of their ancestor’s actions like Archie vs Salamander, Neil and Echo, and so on. I’d have the teens also embody a few flaws of their ancestors too. Odie becomes more overconfident of his cleverness like in Cronus 2.0 and Cronus’ Keystroke. Herry needs to rely more on his brains than his brawn like he learned in Labor Day. Archie would face true fear like in Nothing to Fear But Fear Itself.
I feel like Atlanta’s choice between Pan and her duties as a hero in Pandemonium would have more weight in if it wasn’t just about leaving Archie. Pan’s offer to go around helping the rainforest and nature speaks to Atlanta missing her old life and her old passion like eco-protection so that would be more of an internal battle for her.
The final season would be the uncertain aftermath of the prophecy is fulfilled but Cronus is still at large. Herry and Atlanta will take on the season long arc this time. But just as Neil gets a new weapon and Theresa her powers, I want all the teens upgraded in some way.
Herry feels like he can’t prepare for the future with Cronus hanging over their heads and feels too uncertain of who he wants to be. He’d thought being strong was enough, but after getting a taste of saving the world he doesn’t know who he is without it. Not to mention Granny’s tough but she’s not going to be around forever and he doesn’t know how to handle that.
Atlanta has the opposite problem of knowing what she wants to do, but because of all the Cronus missions, she’s fallen behind in school, internships and other opportunities and feels pressured. At the end both want the same thing. Herry wants time to stop so he won’t face the future. Atlanta wants time to stop so she can catch up.
This season would be the teens facing their dreams and who they want to be when they officially defeat Cronus and wrap up where they all end. A graduation year season if you will of them seizing their destinies. Such as Odie fulfilling a high school bucket list. Neil realizing he will soon be out of his prime at the tender age of eighteen and having to think of another career (acting, naturally). Archie is more lax than Herry about choosing his future so he’ll be episode to episode exploring different options. Have Jay and Theresa bristle against their parents’ expectations for their future and maybe get into a few realistic conflicts like their class difference (Theresa is too flippant spending money, Jay boards his savings and doesn’t enjoy them), but more importantly have them go on dates.
And yeah. I know it’s a pretty long post but I was inspired which is probably the best sign of a good show. It makes you enjoy the characters, the world and inspires you to want more.

Cretan Minotaur mafia au lore dump
Minos is the head of the Cretan mafia. He marries Pasiphäe, who has is a descendant of the first Greek royal family. They have a very toxic marriage but they have many children. (Catreus, Deucalion, Glaucus, Androgeos, Acalle, Xenodice, Ariadne, and Phaedra) As one of the main sources of entertainment in the mafia, Minos organizes a fight to the death ring. All weapons allowed. The people fighting are essentially slaves who gave themselves to the ring to clear their family of debt or legal trouble. The top fighter of the ring, Pavlos is known as “The Cretan Bull” because he defeats every opponent he goes against and soon acquires the attention of Pasiphäe herself.
One day she gets them both drunk and she seduces him. After a couple weeks she realizes that she is pregnant with his son. She decides that she is going to name him after Pavlos’s starry eyes and calls him Asterion. After she gives birth she tries for a while to convince Minos the child is his, but the eyes most resemble that of Pavlos. Minos forces a parental test to find the father and lo and behold, it is Pavlos.
Asterion grows up as the black sheep of the family with only Pasiphäe and his half sister Ariadne keeping him company. He knows that Minos isn’t his father but more than anything he wants to impress him. Unfortunately Minos does not feel the same.
Minos wants Asterion out of his sight so when he reaches the age of 14, he starts Asterion’s training as a fighter in the fight to the death ring.
Ariadne starts to work at the betting table where she meets a new stranger who reveals himself to be a member of the Athenian mafia, Theseus. Some years back the leader, Aegeus had gambled with  Androgeus, one of the children of Minos and Pasiphäe. When Aegeus lost over 100 thousand to Androgeus he arranged for a sniper to sheet Androgeus. When Minos found out about this he had ordered Aegeus to send six people a year to the brawl to fight Asterion or Minos would have Aegeus’s whole family killed. The stranger that showed up asking to sign up was the son of Aegeus himself, Theseus.
Theseus says he is signing up not as a sacrifice from the Athenian mafia, but as a volunteer in order to kill Asterion and save his people.
Theseus wishes for no payment for his family or anything, simply to spend a week in the house of Minos. Over his week staying there, he intrigues Ariadne with his free spirit and confidence. She falls in love with him. He convinces her that the death of Asterion would end business to the brawl and no more people would die. That Asterion lost himself years prior and this would save lives. She agrees to help him on the condition that he swears he would run away with her once he has killed her brother.
The day comes for the brawl and Ariadne laces Asterion’s water with sleeping pills so he’ll get drowsy while fighting. And it works. Theseus kills Asterion and he packs a boat of stuff and starts to sail towards Crete. On the way there, Ariadne realizes they aren’t the only ones on the boat, Theseus brought her sister Phaedra along too. When they stop for night in Naxos because of a storm, Ariadne wakes up and finds that Theseus and Phaedra left without her and that she has no money and no resources. After scrounging around for months, she starts to work at a vineyard in Naxos to afford rent. One day the owner of the vineyard, a rich former politician from Thebes named Dionysus. Dionysus falls in love with her the minute he first sees her and after a couple weeks of asking, she agrees to go on a date with him. It takes her a while to open up, but when she does, Dionysus helps her clear her records and start over. They get married and she becomes the manager of the winery.
Meanwhile, Minos is struggling with keeping his money together. His financial advisor, Daedalus, had run off to Sicily. He chases him there to find him staying at an upper class inn there. He decides to stay the night and he turns on the bath, only to die because the plumbing had been tampered with by some of the employees at the inn trying to help Daedalus and the water running through the pipes boiled Minos alive.

Taming the Minotaur
We were led into the room in single file. Our chains had been removed moments before, but the armed guards remained with us, taking up positions along the wall. Unobtrusive but always in sight, reminding us not to try anything.
The President stood up as we entered, opening his arms wide. “Welcome, welcome! Sit, all of you, sit.”
He was an old man – up close, he appeared much older than he did in the newsreels, or on the propaganda posters that littered the streets. His wife, Pasiphae, the First Lady, sat by his side. She did not stand for us, nor did she seem able to – she looked drunk, or likely pilled up, a far cry from the picture of elegance and class the State media portrayed her as.
And at his other side, not quite sitting but not quite standing either, glancing nervously at President Minos like a dog looking to its master for a clue on how to please him, the most reviled man in the State: Chief Engineer Daedalus.
I sat, then, and my fellow guests – prisoners – followed suit.
“Eat, eat,” President Minos said, indicating the long and richly filled table. “We have all kinds of meats, the best meats, simply exquisite charcuterie, and we’ve got the finest wines, real expensive stuff, folks, you’re gonna love it…” Here he trailed off, losing steam. He seemed to remember who he was talking to, how there was no need to try and impress us. He sat down unceremoniously.
For a while, there were no other sounds than the scraping of cutlery and the sobs of the girl sitting next to me, which she tried and failed to suppress. I wanted to tell her things would be okay, but, of course, we all knew that wasn’t true.
We all knew we were going to die.
And so we ate, and we drank. The ‘exquisite charcuterie meats’ were nothing special – the President was a man of… simple tastes, and famously so – but the wine was serviceable, and many of us were getting our buzz on. What else could we do? Whenever one of us got too rowdy, a guardsman in their line of sight would subtly but unmistakably brandish their rifle; a reminder not to try anything.
Meanwhile the President was pontificating – rambling, really, in that way so common to one who is used to being surrounded by those who will only nod and agree. “It’s a wonderful tradition, really wonderful, for us to host the, you fine young people, the first sons and daughters of the noblest families of every Prefecture, at this banquet in your honour.” This went on for a while; he talked about sacrifice – not his, of course, but ours – and the need for it. How noble we were, how lucky, to be able to give up our lives in service of the unity of the State.
When he talked of his wife’s shame – the child, the monster; Asterion, the Minotaur – the First Lady did not deign to look up from her wineglass. Perhaps it was the wine, but I could not help but wonder what it had been like for her. To not only be fucked by the Divine Bull, but also to give birth to its offspring. I found myself imagining the scenario, imagining the Bull’s massive cock and balls in particular. I found myself pretending I was in Pasiphae’s place, first seducing the Bull, then letting it breed me; letting its cock stretch open my hole, taking the Bull’s full length until I could take it no more. Would I even be able to do it? I liked to think so, but there was no way to know.
Despite the circumstances, my pants grew tighter and I shifted in my seat to better accomodate my swelling member. I could not help but feel a kind of grudging respect for Pasiphae. Of course, I’d respect her more if only she’d murder her husband in his sleep already.
Then the President got to the part in his soliloqui where he explained how the Minotaur would feast on us, and the girl next to me began to sob uncontrollably again.
Admittedly, my appetite was also spoiled somewhat. I cast a quick glance around the table, seeing a variety of emotions among my fellow prisoners. Fear, panic, and despair, yes – but also anger.
“Of course you all know about the Labyrinth,” the President was saying. “It’s the best, the greatest labyrinth in the world, just wonderful, marvelous engineering. Very smart guy, Daedalus.”
At this, the Chief Engineer perked up. He looked like he was about to say something, when the sound of a chair scraping against the floor interrupted him. We all looked on as one of us, a young man named Eutropios, whom I vaguely knew, shot to his feet and glared at Daedalus.
“Fucking cringelord,” Eutropios spat. “You used to be somebody. I used to look up to you! I thought you were going to change the world, make it a better place!”
For the briefest moment, Daedalus looked embarrassed. Then his characteristic grimacing grin spread over his face, and he snapped a salute, extending his arm. “My heart goes out to you.”
Eutropios threw his wineglass at the Chief Engineer.
The guards were on him in an instant. Some of us stirred in our seats, then thought better of it as the guards started beating Eutropios.
Daedalus looked shaken; although the glass had missed him completely and shattered against the wall, his expensive suit was ruined, stained with wine.
The First Lady gave no indication she’d even noticed anything had happened.
The President just laughed and laughed.
I clenched my fist around my knife, focused on my breathing, and silently repeated my mantra.
I will live.
I will survive.
And I will kill every last one of you.
---
I can't even tell anymore if I'm too on the nose or too subtle with the whole President Minos and Chief Engineer Daedalus thing.
(This is an excerpt from my story "Taming the Minotaur". Find it on smashwords!)
