A character study of one of my main characters from my novel, Hacker of Hell, to help map him out visually. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve drawn something digitally but I’m really proud of how this turned out. Illustrations for HoH will likely be digitally created just because of the control it allows me. Because who doesn’t love a pretty Byronic hero 😅

This, here, secret 89,170 word battering ram of printer paper is the greatest personal achievement I’ve made during this trip round the sun. 10 months of fervent writing, ranting, desperation and rambling into WhatsApp and Messenger to some of the most supportive people I could have hoped to have found myself surrounded by; I present the first part of a story conceptually birthed in the fire of my idealistic teenage years but crafted into truth by who I am today. This was always the story I needed to write. It feels like so much more than a singular art piece and yet it’s been so much more private and all-consuming and I’m so very used to not sharing my creative progresses. I am considering illustrating certain scenes but even then I won’t be able to share until I know what path I will be taking with it, but here it is, finally, and I’m so excited and nervous to share it with you all once it’s completely ready. Thank you to everyone who has supported my art over the years and blame this bad boy here for the hiatus 😅 It’s here, I did it, I can breathe; I managed to get my birthday present to myself done… the 4th draft of a biblical dark fantasy romantic tragedy written by an agnostic/atheist 🤣
