Oct 14- "Opinion on candy corn"

Maybe this wasn’t such a stellar way to spend your only free time during the day. 

Walking around with your friend to help them with this survey isn’t nearly as enjoyable then resting in between classes. Yet they promise they would buy you lunch so you can suck it up till then. “Okay we just have one more class to ask then my assignment is done!” You look over at the clipboard they are holding “tell me again what this survey is about again” “I need to learn how to take and chart data based off of surveys so I decided to make a fun one about people’s opinions on candy corn! Ya know cause we gotta be festive..” You just hum in response, you haven’t been in the “festive” mood honesty. It's just been too busy of a month for you to enjoy the silly pumpkins, the candy and the tv specials. 

“Alright here is the class..” you two now stand in front of a door, already hearing the loudness of the students from the outside. Walking inside, you two decide to split the classroom in half to cover ground quicker.  Handing out the small pieces of paper with the question about the fall treat typed on them. One by one you ask the row of students about candy corn, getting the normal answers of “don’t really mind it” or “it's not my favorite but I’ll eat it if it's there”. Not super clear answers but hey it will do for your friend right? 

Moving on to the last person in the row, you notice she is reading something. As you walk closer you spot the cute halloween decorated notebooks and pens on her desk. “Someone is in the mood” you think as you give her a polite hello to get her attention. “Yes?” she looks up at you while pushing up her glasses “Opinion on candy corn?” she just blinks and you laugh, feeling a little awkward “sorry kinda a weirdish question to get asked from a stranger but I need to know for this survey if you don’t mind” She smiles softly “I don’t mind..candy corn huh?” you watch as she thinks for a moment before smiling a little brighter “I really like it, I know it's not everyone’s favorite but I enjoy it” 

You nod as you record her answer, “What about you?” you stop writing, looking up to meet her curious eyes “me?” hm, you haven’t really thought about yourself but she nods “Do you like candy corn?” You think for a moment “I haven't had it in a while so I can’t even remember..” You laugh a bit, feeling your answer was a bit lame but hey it was the truth. She nods and plays with her purple and orange pen “well when you do, maybe you could let me know?” it's your turn to blink without a word, she laughs a bit as you hear your friend calling out for you. “It seems you got to go..” she states as you look back at your friend standing by the door “yeah..” you make sure you have everything before sending her a small wave “thanks Kiyoko..” “sure thing Y/N” you take a step before turning back towards her “Whenever I have candy corn again..I’ll tell you my new opinion about it..”

 She pushes up her glasses again and chuckles “Sounds like a plan..” you give her another wave before leaving her classroom, you still don’t know about getting into the halloween mood but you do really want to try some candy corn now.
