fun fact: we acquired a cd player recently and it has been really fun. we dont actually use it that much because we live with someone now (even though i know she would not mind) and also most of our cds are from like 2010 when our music taste was dogshit. but they are good and i like Looking at the player if nothing else :-)

yesss I love this! It sounds like you got one of non-walkman kind, that broadcasts sound instead of working with headphones? but I think these small ones, that aren't built into a boom box with radio/cassette functions as well, are especially resonant for me? No extra bells and whistles, no selections to make, just a whole piece of technology created for the purpose of doing one thing at a time. To focus attention on one piece of art that you can take with you anywhere, like a little portable ritual.

fidget toys from Etsy! @halcoded finally has something it can call its own, hurray.

the blue, spiky oval is a spiky sensory toy that we got because gripping onto something sharp like that is a good grounding tool for us (especially in public) and it seems better to use a somewhat blunter stim toy than, say, the bottle cap you can see lying behind the dragon.

the white and grey square is a clicker stim toy that's really fun to press repeatedly, i like the sound and feel of it a lot. i'm also thinking about trying to use it to clicker train magnus, since a 'click' might be more consistent and recognisable than my voice or hands to him.

the little dragon head charm was a bonus the seller added, which i thought was nice of them. i feel like it's more purple than in the picture but i don't want to get up to check.

and then the white dragon is self explanatory. it's a really nice weight and if you curl it around your wrist and let it rest on your hand, it really does feel like there's a little lizard resting there, i like it a lot. i was SURE i'd ordered a different colour but i think hal specifically ordered this one since... white is its colour, you know. i don't mind, it's beautiful, it was just odd to remember ordering one colour and then check the receipt and be like huh. no i didn't. ksjdnfksjdf.

First thing that came to mind is "dependable" which is boring as fuck but it's true XD I've been doing a lot of volunteering lately and I enjoy being a reliable pair of hands to help with whatever people need and I'm good at it.

39. what’s one feature you would change on tumblr?

Just one??? Okay this is a small thing, but it drives me nuts that when you're putting tags on a post on desktop or mobile browser you can edit the tags, but on the mobile app not only can you NOT edit a completed tag, you can't even SEE THE ENTIRE THING to see if you mistyped anything. As someone who likes talking in tags, not being able to see what I've just written is incredibly annoying.

And yeah it's a cool culture! Love the art, love the creativity, love the connection to animals and all the different forms that takes. It doesn't speak to me as something I want to add to my identity but I'm glad it exists

Favourite colour: yes. I just like colors. I gravitate strongly toward green but brown/gold has really been speaking to me lately

Currently watching: I'm always in the middle of a lot of shows that I'll finish eventually. I think the only things I'm watching as they air right now are Taskmaster and a couple Dropout shows.

Last movie: I rewatched like half of Rent the other day

Currently reading: Same as shows, I'm always in the middle of a bunch. Really enjoying Once and Forever: The Tales of Kenji Miyazawa

Sweet, spicy, or savoury: generally savoury but all three are good

Relationship: aro relationship anarchy baby! I have a gf and some other less defined connections I'm enjoying at the moment
