i am nothing if not a girl who knows a weird amount about engineering
#my dad works at a bike company + he sometimes brings me into product pitch meetings to get a consumer (someone who doesnt know shit abt#bikes) opinion. so he pulls my into his office this morning and has this guy pitch an idea for a stem with a rubber bearing in the middle to#decrease vibration which like okay! understandable! i hate vibration!#but from there i proceed to point out every single flaw in the design (stability issues rubber cracking the fact that some of their#handlebars r internally wired and that makes it impossible etc)#which my dad had apparently been pointing out for literally like 2 years 😭😭😭 and theyre still gonna sell them#hollyws
