Happy Birthday to our girl Felicity!

I thought I might use this auspicious date to show off Felicity’s trunk that my mom made.

It’s monogrammed of course.

We filled it with clothes we sewed for our trip to Colonial Williamsburg.

And some souvenirs from the trip too!

The rest of her outfits are stored using my current favorite method, the hanging storage thingie.

Been thinking about Dottore and the segments being able to be a bit more rougher with fragile reader...

Naturally, due to your illness, your body probably can't handle anything too strenuous or rough treatment, you need to be treated with special care. Which is obviously a tall order, especially for the younger segments. The only time gentle comes into their body is when someone needs to be very carefully dissected. But they also do not want Prime to terminate them for putting a single scratch on you. So they kind of have to grow into the role bit by bit, but it gets easier when you initiate first. They'll just attempt to copy your movements. But an awkwardly placed hand on you somewhere is commonplace in the beginning.

But my point is Reader reaching a point where it's okay to no longer treat them too much like glass. Of course, precautions must still be made, but it's still a wonderful feeling. You can playfully punch a segment and get a little push back. Okay, now that I'm writing this I can't actually think of more examples. Perhaps the segments can also leave you some tasks and duties that they no longer have to watch over you for. Perhaps helping him with his research. Perhaps playfully starting a pillow fight but then getting knocked out cold accidentally by Webttore. I don't know. I think they'd start teasing you a lot more once you've reached this stage.

OC INTRODUCTION ➸ LYSANDER

Diversity win! The Ramshackle Prefect is a sad gay! For someone whose sudden arrival caused so much ruckus and who always seems to be where trouble is, Lysander is a very unassuming person. He usually stays on the sidelines and doesn't talk much unless spoken to. While he may seem quite cold and distanced at first, in reality he's desperately lonely and lacks confidence. Growing up isolated and without much contact with people his age left him without the necessery social skills; he doesn't know how to start conversations or make friends and second-guesses his every word. In turn, he laches onto every person who is willing to spend time with him. Kind, soft-hearted, always willing to believe in the goodness of others and also, sadly, a pathological people pleaser and a bit of a pushover. Wants to make everyone feel good and help them in any way he can while going to great lenghts to avoid asking others for help. Tries to be as independent as possible as he doesn't think his accomplishments are worth anything if he can't do it himself. A stressed overthinker who often lets anxiety get the best of him. Mostly hangs out with the third years, as they're the closest to him in age and treats the first years like the younger brothers he never had. Part-time waits tables at Mostro Lounge.

BACKSTORY

Getting isekai-ed gave him partial-amnesia; he doesn't remember much of his life before coming to Twisted Wonderland, but the flashes he sometimes gets don't make him hurry to find his way back. He remembers living in a big old house somewhere on the countryside, similar to Ramshackle if a less run down. It had a big garden and Lysander remembers keeping chickens there and leaving out food for the local stray cats. He doesn't remember his parents, so he thinks they may have died while he was still very young. He knows he lived with his grandma, though he can't say when or for how long - he just knows that it was her who taught him how to sew and cook.

OTHER FACTS/TRIVIA

⚜ he not only loves gardening and keeping plants, but he's also prone to keeping A LOT of useless trinkets, which means he made Ramshackle look almost like Howl's room ⚜ actually loved doing all the renovations at Ramshackle since he doesn't like being bored and always finds himself this or that project to be busy with (that's also how he ended up working at Mostro Lounge) ⚜ is also very good at cooking and happily cooks for all of his friends ⚜ he's a trans man - he knew that from a pretty young age, but was never out, as he didn't want to upset his grandma, so you can imagine how excited he was, finding himself at an all-boys school ⚜ doesn't remember his last name or his birthday ⚜ his memory is just pretty bad over-all, and he actually keeps a little notebook that he brings everywhere so he can note down the important things people tell him ⚜ a BIG animal lover, especially when it comes to cats, he tries to befriend every stray cat he sees ⚜ always feels cold, which is why he tends to wear big, soft sweaters all the time

i find dennis' toxic love for the gang sooo interesting. the lengths he goes through to ensure that their group dynamic never changes. the amount of planning he puts in implies that this is one of his fears– how they might one day change and abandon him.

an example of this would be in "frank retires" where he had formed the franquito plan seven years before he needed to use it, which felt devious (towards frank) to charlie, dee and mac, but dennis had justified it by saying he just didn't want them to change. the ending had dennis acting like he didn't mean a word he said, but i doubt it, because just a few episodes before (the gang misses the boat) he concluded that he just wanted things to stay normal in the gang after a minor freakout about how they're all gradually getting more and more insane staying in the bar together.

dennis resisting change is a consistent theme for his character. he does not want the gang to live in virtual realities, charlie to get smart, mac and dee to leave, mac's mom to stay with them, mac to connect with his dad, dee to actually be successful, mac to be so forward in his advances, frank to retire, etc etc. because he already likes the gang so much the way it is.

that is, unless he personally seeks the change. he could get married in a day, because he wanted to. he could kick mac out. he could leave the gang and start a family. he could change his car to a more modern one. but each time he tries to change and leave, he comes back to the gang... and his range rover.

and this is why he seems to hate them too, because most of his hatred comes from his resentment from loving them too much and being unable to leave. and the love he has for them is toxic, because he wants to drag them down together with him. the s13 narrative wants us to know that he's the main reason the gang stays the same for 16 seasons.

it's what makes dennis takes a mental health day so notable to me though. the commentary on systems throughout the episode, and how dennis is sick of it. dennis' rejection of technology when it takes away real life interactions, parallels the episode "charlie rules the world" in s6 which was the major turning point for dennis developing a god complex (where british dennis tells him that 'you create your own reality'). i believe dtamhd will also be a turning point for dennis, perhaps where he starts letting things go without putting as much control (systems) because he wants to live in a reality where he doesn't need to do these things anymore.

one of the things i got in the recovery program thingie is like. smth that lets you hang out with people and meet friends. and there's a regular version, where most of the hangouts are "going to a cafe together ^_^" or "picnic at the park :)" and such, BUT there is also a version for queer people, where the hangouts are like. "meeting with a drag queen and getting a tutorial from her" or "discussion about gender in the current political landscape" and i highkey love that
