Welcome to my little slice of tumblr!
Hi, there! Call me HB or hey you (I’m pretty flexible). I could devour/ obsess over content, write little stories, share them with you, and talk about the stories/ characters for infinity (sort of why I made this blog). Below you’ll find links to the pieces I’ve written (currently posted either here on tumblr or on ff.net or ao3). Lots of platonic/ familial relationships, but there are a few romantic pairings throughout as well. Hope you enjoy! If you have any questions, comments, or just feel like having a chat, send me an ask/ msg. ❤️

Honeybee
Could you imagine where our lives would lead?
That silly ring, it wasn't meant to be
Luckily you saw in me
Something I couldn't see
Honeybee
I can't imagine how my life would be
If all your gravity did not hit me
Oh, don't you see?
Darling, my honeybee
But here we are
After all the misses and confessions
To the stars
That we never really owned as ours
And if our world comes tumbling down
I never could forgive myself for leaving out
You're the one, you are the only one
Such a fool
I took your love and I bent all the rules
You took the blow and didn't let it show
Stuck around to let me know
Built a family of our own
Look around
We made a garden of the love we found
So many reasons I would fight to stay
You're the courage when I fade
Take a look at what we've made
But here we are
After all the misses and confessions
To the stars
That we never really owned as ours
And if our world comes tumbling down
I never could forgive myself for leaving out
You're the one, you are the only one
Won't you decide?
Won't you decide?
I want you to soar
Don't doubt anymore
Won't you decide? (What's your name?)
Won't you decide?
(I hope you can hear me, I needed you near me)
I want you to soar (you save my life)
Don't doubt anymore (let's keep this between you and I)
And if our world comes tumbling down
I never could forgive myself for leaving out
And if our world comes tumbling down
(The world comes tumbling down)
I never could forgive myself, for leaving out
You're the one, you are the only one
And if our world comes tumbling down
I never could forgive myself, I'll say it now
You're the one, you are the only one

I'm feeling mighty lonesome
Haven't slept a wink
I walk the floor and watch the door
And in between I drink
Black coffee
Love's a hand me down brew
I'll never know a Sunday
In this weekday room
I'm talking to the shadows
1 o'clock to 4
And Lord, how slow the moments go
When all I do is pour
Black coffee
Since the blues caught my eye
I'm hanging out on Monday
My Sunday dreams to dry
Now a man is born to go a lovin'
A woman's born to weep and fret
To stay at home and tend her oven
And drown her past regrets
In coffee and cigarettes
I'm moody all the morning
Mourning all the night
And in between it's nicotine
And not much hard to find
Coffee
Feelin' low as the ground
It's driving me crazy just waiting for my baby
To maybe come around
My nerves have gone to pieces
My hair is turning gray
All I do is drink black coffee
Since my man's gone away

I'm searching
For my true love
And I know she's there
Just carry on, just carry on
I promise
I'll find you
And it won't be long
Just hold on, just hold on
So I'm trying
To be
A better man
But the work goes, yes the work goes on
One day
When all this is washed away
Some will remain
Full of hope in the pouring rain
And I'll see you there
With wet shoes and wet hair
And when the last day is done
We'll make it
Somehow
You know we will
We'll be holding hands
We'll be holding hands
We'll be holding hands

When you love somebody
It's hard to think about anything but to breathe
When you love somebody
Bite your tongue, all you get is a mouthful of blood
When you love somebody
It's hard to figure out, hard to figure out

Keep climbing into my head without knockin'
And you fix yourself there like a map pin
On this ghost of this street where I'm livin'
I'm in a chrysalis and I'm snowed in
Darling, darling that dam's gonna give
It's inevitable the way that you live
Bottles in brown paper and a mouth that slurs
All the shit that it stirs
Let that dogwood blossom
There'll be hell to pay in heaven
For you take every street home
What happens when you're into deep to break
Loneliness keeps you constantly awake
What happens when the passage of time appears
You see yourself as a child and it brings you to tears
You say that you're troubled and you always have been
Uncomfortable in your own skin
So you contemplate the riverbed
Turn off the dark thoughts in your head
Darling, darling that dam's gonna give
It's inevitable the way that you live
Bottles in brown paper and a mouth that slurs
All the shit that it stirs
Let that dogwood blossom
There'll be hell to pay in heaven
For you take every street home

And why would you believe you could control how you're perceived
When at your best, you're intermediately versed in your own feelings?
And irony's okay, I suppose
Culture is to blame
You try and mask your pain in the most postmodern way
You lack substance when you say
Something like, "Oh, what a shame"
It's just a self-referential way
That stops you having to be human
I'm assuming you'll balloon
When you remove the dirty spoon
And start consuming like a human
That's what I am assuming
I'm sure that you're not just another girl
I'm sure that you're gonna say that that was sexist
I feel like you're running out
Of all the things I liked you for
Why can't we be friends when we are lovers?
'Cause it always ends with us hating each other
Instead of calling me out, you should be pulling me in
I've just got one more thing to say
And why would you believe you could control how you're perceived
When at your best, you're intermediately versed in your own feelings?
Keep on putting off conceiving
It's only you that you're deceiving
Oh, don't have a child, don't cramp your style, I'll leave it
Why can't we be friends, when we are lovers?
'Cause it always ends with us hating each other
Instead of calling me out, you should be pulling me in
I've just got one more thing to say
I'm just pissed off because you pied me off
After your show when you let go of my hand
In front of some sket who wanted bit on your
Nah, I'm just messing

In many ways, they'll miss the good old days
Someday, someday
It hurts to say, but I want you to stay
Sometimes, oh, sometimes
When we was young, oh, man, did we have fun
Always, oh, always
Promises, they break before they're made
Sometimes, oh, sometimes
Oh, Maya says I'm lacking in depth
But I will try my best
You say you wanna stand by my side
Darling, your head's not right
See, alone we stand, together we fall apart
Oh, I think I'll be alright
I'm working so I don't have to try so hard
Tables, they turn sometimes
Oh, someday
I ain't wasting no more time
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
And now my fears, they come to me in threes
So I sometimes
Say, "Fate, my friend, you say the strangest things I find
Oh, sometimes"
Oh, Maya says I'm lacking in depth
But I will try my best
You say you wanna stand by my side
Darling, your head's not right
See, alone we stand, together we fall apart
Oh, I think I'll be alright
I'm working so I don't have to try so hard
Tables, they turn sometimes
Oh, someday
I ain't wasting no more time

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of a dark black night
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of a dark black night
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

The laughing version of this song is so damn pure.
Are you lonesome tonight
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry we drifted apart?
Does your memory stray to a brighter sunny day
When I kissed you and called you sweetheart?
Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?
I wonder if you're lonesome tonight
You know someone said that the world's a stage
And each must play a part
Fate had me playing in love you as my sweet heart
Act one was when we met, I loved you at first glance
You read your line so cleverly and never missed a cue
Then came act two, you seemed to change and you acted strange
And why I'll never know
Honey, you lied when you said you loved me
And I had no cause to doubt you
But I'd rather go on hearing your lies
Than go on living without you
Now the stage is bare and I'm standing there
With emptiness all around
And if you won't come back to me
Then make them bring the curtain down
Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?

Everything I do, I do in slow motion
I don't know what to say
Everywhere I fall, don't know name or location
Baby, I'll just find my way
I'll find it
Years ago now, I couldn't hold my eyes to the stars
Burdened by how they slept so far away
I see now this is better in so many ways
All that glitter is fire, burns the skin and leaves you with haste
Everything I do, I do in slow motion
I don't know what to say
Everywhere I fall, don't know name or location
Baby, I'll just find my way
I'll find it
Heavy is my sleeping, dull is my dreaming
While you are pretty through the night
And you may taste the salt that rolls off my cheekbone
But you don't know why I cry
Over mulled wine, all the tact fell through the floor
Tripping over fine lines and you
If I stay here, well, I'll have some explaining for you
Sins are in the mind, where there's things that I ought to do
Everything I do, I do in slow motion
I don't know what to say
And everywhere I fall, don't know name or location
Baby, I'll just find my way
I'll find it
Heavy is my sleeping, dull is my dreaming
While you're pretty through the night
And you may taste the salt that rolls off my cheekbone
But you don't know why I cry
