(a small Cleo backstory fic for my hermitcraft/starship iris au!)

hey! I wrote and posted this almost two months ago now, and at the time i couldn't be bothered to fix the formatting that had gotten messed up in posting, i just wanted to get it out in the world. however, I've finally found the time to fix it, so I'm promo-ing it on here again. please enjoy a little sci-fi crossover au fic that's half fake wikipedia articles :D

ok so basically w my hc x tscosi au, originally it was gonna take place post tscosi s2 but I forgot about how s2 ended so now the timeline on it is all vague. it's fine. anyway, the rumor crew run a mission for Other Violet (transport supplies and ask people to help w the revolution stuff, similar to what happened w Max Gavins) to a little planet in a solar system so inconsequential that the only name it's got is the classification number. specifically, the planet we're looking at is HC09, a manmade planet like Cresswin Landing but much smaller, originally meant to be a research station until the guy who funded it forgot about it (and then probably died a couple years later). and, of course, HC09 is where the Hermits live. mostly this is all an elaborate setup to get my favorite blorbos in the same room, so it's not really got anything of a story, just worldbuilding stuff lmao. but yeah that's the hc x tscosi au!

i forgot how s2 goes as well goddamn i just remembered parker got on board at some point (favourtism)

is the guy who funded HC09 supposed to be genericB?

oh my god I'm having SO many thoughts abt the worldbuilding of my hc x starship iris crossover au actually going 2 explode

#(rattles violently) because WHERES THE LINE at what point is is no longer feasible for them to have built their planet from the ground up??#because the only thing on hc they DIDNT build is the actual planet itself #theres about two paragraphs of a character analysis on joe in this au in our notes app rn #but specifically its got a lot of. metaphors.#someyhing about becoming eho we know them go be at tge same time as the planet is becoming how we see it in the main fic #i just. hhhhngghggghhg #rotates ir in my head #.lyr #hc x tscosi #thats the tag i usw right. whered the autofill on it go.
