JAY B: Back to the starting point, to set off again

At first sight, Jay B does not seem to have the looks of a popular “Flower Boy”; he has single eyelids typical in Korean boys, and the corners of his eyes crescent up with warmth and pureness as he smiles, drawing people close to him. “Sexy”, “Steady”, “Introverted”，“Warm”，“Sharp” and “Domineering” are all words fans use to describe him. These seemingly unrelated characteristics come together in Jay B and sparks a charisma that is unique to him.

9 years on since debut, he is an all-rounder who sings, dances and composes and his vibrant abilities are obvious to all. However, the entertainment industry is a place that is never short of talent and worthy competitors. Being GOT7’s leader and facing the responsibilities and stress, he did not go down an easy path. Through the endurance, he figured out his own direction of growth and pace - one that is neither nervous or rushed but instead calm and steady. The start of 2021 ushered in the end of his artistic contract and signing new companies, but that did not affect his pace; he made a comeback with his members, writing songs and preparing for his solo album, continuing to do what he is good at, facing the odds calmly and confidently, “2021 to me is a brand new start; I will return to the starting point and start anew.”

Embracing the essence, upholding greatness

Looking through Jay B’s portfolio, he went through many profile changes in the early years. From being an aspiring B-boy, to debuting as an actor, as a boy group duo JJ Project, and 2 years later debuting as GOT7 leader. At every stage, he did his best in whatever he wanted to do. Grabbing every opportunity and going forward earnestly. For dance, he once gave up on his studies and joined a professional dance group very early on. After debuting as a leader, in order to shoulder the responsibilities, he reigned in on his youthful flippance and impetuousness and learned to be tolerant. Through several details, he is managing well. When appearing on variety shows as a group, he made efforts to ensure that every member had the chance to showcase their talents. Before showcases, he is obviously nervous himself but would never forget to remind the others to drink up. He even prioritized group activities over his own, concertedly rejecting solo activities arranged by the company. Till date, he is still the one with the least solo activities. “Instead of myself, it would be better for the other members to begin their solo activities first.”

He is clear-cut and is never trapped between choosing one thing over the other. As a trainee, he also experienced a rebellious phase where he wanted to give up. When he did not know what he wanted, he would follow his heart. He once wrote on SNS “Do whatever you want. If you really love something, then follow your heart and do it.” His motivation sets him on a simple path; start off with love, and put in all his effort into it, working hard to hand in his best submission. He assigned the name Def. to his solo writing, which holds the meaning of “the best, the greatest of all”. Years ago, he had said in a variety show, “When I grow a little older, I must become a truly cool celebrity, and a multi-talented artist.” At that time, when faced with many fresh opportunities, he eagerly leapt forward to try them out, to bloom from all corners. Later, interviewers asked him what his future plans are for the next 5 years, and he said, “Definitely to continue my music-related work, and if my body allows me to, I will continue dancing.” And now, his dreams have more definitively settled on the area of creative music composing, hence, when asked whether he would consider moving into acting again, he said, “Now I can’t fully embody and express a character, but I think I should learn and understand deeply before going into acting. Learning to have restraint and storing one’s potential will help with a better start.

I will open up my heart

Some say the creative must embrace change at all times and maintain a keenness for observation; similarly, Jay B’s awareness of the world is astute and meticulous. He observes life through film lenses, and reflects upon his own feelings in the process. “Through the photos I take, I discovered that my photos are people-centric, and I often am curious about what they are thinking, how they are feeling at that very moment.” The happiness and sorrows of people often differ from one another, but they always leave marks. He likes to record down his surroundings, the people around him and the banalities of everyday life, and incorporate them into his creative works. For example, when writing the song “Rainy”, he laid out photos that he took on a rainy day on the floor of his studio, began arranging and rearranging them, and pondering over the sequences. Thus led to the birth of a rainy love story.

Whether it is on stage or composing music, the ever-changing styles he expresses are undoubtedly based on thoughts and experiences in life. In addition to photography, reading books, watching movies and having conversations with people who have experienced life are all some ways in which he draws inspiration from. “In the future I would like to ponder over everything that I experience genuinely in my life, and describe my true thoughts and feelings. It may not necessarily have to be positive; sometimes it can also be a form of relief by expressing the negativity in a straightforward manner.”

Having been in the spotlight of the entertainment industry for many years, he is no stranger to receiving criticisms, yet he always digests it quietly. His warm, honest aura, along with his sensitivity and sympathetic nature, creates a juxtaposition in his personality. On the performing stage, he is cool and powerful, as if he has an unlimited source energy waiting to be released. In everyday life, the same Jay B he stores that energy and softens up, creating an entirely different image. He is used to treating others with kindness, and knows how to live as himself: “Instead of paying attention to the criticism and living like someone else, I would rather be myself and accept the criticism.” He loves life, and likes to play with his three cats. He remembers a funny incident, “One of my cats likes to lick the carpet, so there was one time I accidentally stepped on the carpet and almost fell.” Like many young folks, during his leisure time, he reads and sleeps to relieve stress. When his schedule is packed, he would take a stroll at the working site, sometimes taking photos and videos and sharing them along the way. He has his own world, but it is not locked up at all; it is wide open and welcome for everyone to visit. There was once where he read a word in a book that reminded him of b-boying, so he simply left the house and b-boyed along the streets, posting a clip of it on SNS. He thinks that the name that Chinese fans call themselves sounds nice, but he also likes calling everyone “best friend”. Realizing he might sound impolite, he carefully added that it does not mean he does not like the former, just like an old friend with no filter who says what they want but never fails to consider your feelings.

Tackling the unknown is full of delight

“Unknown challenges, to me, are very interesting. I find tackling new things to be a really great thing.” In this new year, with a new company and new plans, Lim Jaebeom has started on his journey of transformation. Taking on a path that he has to take alone, even though he may still be adapting to this new identity and role, “I am really alone now, it feels fascinating yet a little awkward.” He understands to cherish, and wishes to continue making even greater music for the group. He also looks forward dearly for his music to find a place of its own in the music sphere. Being faced with the challenges that await him, he is eager to create a world of his own. At a certain program where he was asked by his members, “Are you happy?”, he hesitated and replied: “I don’t know.” In fact, he is just like the music that he writes - it does not shock or excite but you will never get bored of it after repeated listens; the kind of music he pursues is not one with intricate formal design or various showy techniques, but one that expresses of real and honest emotions triggered by real and honest events.

As he faces the ebb and flow of the tide calmly and inches closer to his dreams with each step, he is still the young boy he was before, fiery passion in his gaze, sincerely embracing change, maturing and growing through it. Perhaps he might not know when his personal happiness will arrive, but he has never stopped looking for it. For his era is imminent.

Brief Rundown of my Next Gen Boys x

KANG JIHOON (19)

- Youngest of Haneul & NPC (Divorced). - Blossom Bell; Idol & Rapper. - The youngest boy in the Moon-Kang family. - He grew up as the ugly duckling of the family, getting teased for his appearance, but he always ignored it and went on with life. When puberty hit him he grew into his features and become more confident as a result. - Probably would've wanted to be a comedian if not an idol. He likes to cheer people up and make people laugh.

KANG YOHAN (21)

- Middle child of Haneul & NPC (Divorced). - Blossom Bell; Idol & Actor. - He holds at least 95% of the maturity between him and his brothers. - Since he's a lot calmer compared to his wilder, borderline scandalous brothers, he can be seen as the least interesting Kang. - Spent the longest time as a trainee out of his brothers and his cousins, having to wait almost seven years before his debut. However, this has meant that he has managed to become an all-rounder in rapping, singing, dancing and acting. - Currently in a relationship with Youngmi.

NEW: MOON INSEOK (21)

- Middle (third) child of Jiwon and Taehyun (Married). - Blossom Bell; Idol. - He made a name for himself in South Korea away from his family name through travelling around the country, getting involved with communities, starting charities and community fundraisers for them. While he went under a pseudonym for those things, eventually someone revealed that it was Inseok and the entire nation's fallen in love with him since then. - Is one of ATEEZ's most popular members because of this ^, his face and the fact that he's seems like a completely different person on-stage. - Even though fame kinda just came out of nowhere for him, he and Youi are seen as the most popular of the five Moon children, which has landed him in a one-sided rivalry against his older brother, Yeongsu.

NEW: COOPER JANG (20)

- Oldest child of two NPCs (Married). - Diamond Bridge; Songwriter, future singer & rapper. - Grew up in South Korea and was bullied out of middle school for being half-white, being homeschooled for a few years afterwards. Moved to VS when he was 17. - Works as a songwriter for other artists (namely Addy & Yeongsu rn), plans on releasing his own music but wants to be more self-confident before doing so.

NEW: DEAN HAKIM (23)

- Oldest child of Dwight & NPC (married). - Gold Coast; Model & Actor. - Born and raised in Violet Springs. Was a jock in high school. - Idk what else, I'm just gonna play him more to figure out his personality LOL

Stan Talent, Stan Pentagon

So many reasons to stan Pentagon:

1. Self-Produced

They just have a ton of talented songwriters in here! Cube is popular for self-produced idols after all, like BtoB, another super talented group.

Hui is a composer-producer, not really a secret because he’s well-known as a genius as he also composed hit songs for other popular groups (such as Energetic by Wanna One)

Kino and Wooseok wrote a lot of songs in their albums too, including some of my favorites Spring Snow (Kino) and Nostalgia (Wooseok). Kino also wrote their special single Eternal Flame. Wooseok had a big contribution in writing my absolute favorite, Daisy (but mostly written by Hui), and honestly his songwriting talent seems to be underrated.

Jinho has also composed a few and helped write a lot. Yuto also composed songs (aside from his rap lines), one song being Camella that a lot of “unis” love. *Universe/Unis = fandom name

Both Kino and Yuto have their own soundclouds for the songs they write/produce.

Yeo One composed his own solo songs (yes, even as rookies, they were already composing), and they’re actually so good.

Also, in general, they are so creative in their songs and performances. Example: their Road To Kingdom performances, and also their super fun b-sides like Round 1 and Round 2!

My personal favorites: Obviously the genius Hui, Wooseok (I love him so much!), and Kino (such a talented person)

2. Vocal Kings

Their main vocals (Hui and Jinho) are absolutely top-tier vocalists, two of the strongest ones in the kpop world (imo).

Jinho was LITERALLY a vocal coach of kpop stars. Incredible vocal range.

Their lead vocals Hongseok (actually now a main vocal) and Yeo One are potential main vocals! And their sub-vocals, Kino (honestly surprised he was a sub-vocal cause he’s waaaay too good to be sub!), Yan An and Shinwon, are on par or better than other groups’ lead vocals, imo.

Vocal kings of harmonization. I love it so much, they sound so good! They take after their sunbaes BtoB, the OG harmonization kings. (Song references: You Are, and Shine acapella version).

Wooseok and Yuto’s rap are also so good! Honestly, I go crazy sometimes, especially with Wooseok’s delivery.

Edit, random trivia: I actually found out Wooseok auditioned in Cube as a vocalist and a model. Thank God, he discovered his talent in rapping later on, because dang, this guy is SICK. His rap touches my heart. He is proof that the basis of what a good rapper is doesn’t need to be about how fast you can say your words.

My personal favorites: Hui, Jinho, and Yeo One (what a beautiful voice, and he’s so good and stable live, halp huhu, totally underrated), Wooseok’s rap (I’m a big fan, my eyes are filled with hearts)

3. Musical ability (in general) and Dance

Being composers/producers, they have a good understanding of music theory and techniques, especially for Hui (obviously, the genius), Jinho (as a vocal coach) and Kino (I think).

Musical Instruments: Almost all of them (except for Hongseok) plays musical instruments

Piano: Hui, Jinho, Kino, Shinwon - I have to make a special note here. These guys can really play. They’re not the type to say they play the piano but only press a few chords here and there a bit and sing a song. They play their keys!

Guitar: Yuto (he is really good! he posts electric guitar covers on Twitter), Wooseok, Jinho, Hui, Yeo One, Shinwon

Erhu (Chinese traditional instrument): Yan An - studied it for 10 years. Haha! This is so unique, I’ve never seen him play it, and it’s not exactly a useful instrument to have for kpop music, but I love it!

Edit: I also found out Wooseok can play the violin. Not only that, he’s won a violin competition.. I couldn’t believe it! Violin it’s such a hard instrument. It’s not easy to be good at violin, let alone win a violin competition. Wooseok really surprises me with the musical talent he has sometimes.

Dance: Quite obvious as a kpop idol group, even though admittedly they aren’t exactly the best as a whole group.

But anyway, Kino is the main dancer. (Also known for being such a good dancer of girl group songs. Hihi cute)

Lead dancers: Hui, Yuto, Yeo One

Apparently, Kino is also the choreographer! I think he was the main choreographer for Daisy. (Don’t @ me, I’m not sure. But in general, yes, he does choreograph for the group.)

My personal favorites: Kino, Hui - this also includes stage presence.

4. Visuals

Their official visual is Yan An. (Pentagon is whipped for Yanan, btw.)

Other unofficial visuals, at least in my book: Yuto, Hongseok, Yeo One, Kino (but tbf, as a well-loved idol group, everyone becomes an unofficial visual)

Shinwon was actually a legit model before being an idol, and he became viral for being “the handsome part-timer” at a cafe Exo went to.

Men’s Health Korea models (YES, ACTUAL MEN’S HEALTH COVER BOYS aka gym freaks): Hongseok, Yeo One. *PS: I have a feeling Yuto will also be on there soon, one of these days

Let me just reiterate though that while Hongseok is known for his muscles, he more than his abs. He’s smart, funny, and talented, as you can see in this whole post. So yeah, basically, please don’t objectify him.

My personal favorites: Yuto (the reason why I checked Pentagon out in the first place! my heart went deugun deugun), Hongseok (what a great face, beautiful eyes), Yeo One (cutie), Kino (very very pretty face)

5. Other talents

Acting

Literally THREE of them are musical theatre actors, and all were actually the main characters in their respective musicals: Jinho (already a theatre sunbae), Hui and Yeo One. Honestly, this shows both acting skills and strong vocal ability. (Imagine the strong vocal ability of the lead vocal, in PTG, Yeo One, a main character of a musical. It gives you an idea of how good the vocal line up is.)

I think some of them had some acting in dramas, like Hongseok and Yeo One

Update: Yanan and Wooseok are also on dramas/will be on dramas now. That makes almost everybody in Pentagon (still waiting for Yuto and Shinwon) an actor.

Another update: Kino is now hosting his second podcast with Dive Studios! :)

Randoms

Hongseok, Jinho and Kino speaks three languages pretty comfortably: Hongseok/Jinho (Korean, English, Chinese), Kino (Korean, English, Japanese) ---not super fluent but able to have good conversations. And foreigners Yanan (Korean, Chinese), and Yuto (Korean, Japanese) are obviously fluent bilinguals.

Kino drew and painted the album art for WE:TH / daisy. He even gifted a painted version to Hui for his studio!

6. Personality

Let me start by saying Pentagon is a crazy group. They aren’t really kids but they are so chaotic. I love that they have no filter!

Even the leader, Hui, who’s not really young, is very chaotic! Hui is actually such a cutie pie. And also so funny, especially in their TMIs

Hongseok is so funny, so witty, and has absolutely no shame. I love it!

Shinwon is very witty, and is known to be the mood-maker of the group.

Yeo One is a little 4D. He’s like a messy kid and sometimes has his own world. :)) An absolute cutie!!!

Kino is the sweetest person ever! He never fails to tell Universe how much he appreciates us.

Jinho is known to be the kind and caring hyung they can depend on.

My personal favorites: Hongseok (hilarious and crazy, has me dying), Hui, Yeo One (ugghhhh super cute personality!), Kino also!!!

Overall: They have a bunch of all-rounders! (My personal favorite all-rounders: Hui, Kino, and Yeo One) They’re so talented and deserve a lot of recognition and support.

Hui is my bias and my ult, but I can’t decide who’s my next bias.

Update: I think Kino is my next bias, cause he’s just so good, so multi-talented! I can’t with this guy. I’m even considering adding him to my ult list.

But my gosh, Changgu is absolutely adorable. Wooseok talent. Huhu idk if second tier bias or...

***Not to be this obsessive OT10 fan, but I really like Dawn (formerly E’Dawn), so I’m writing his skills as well: Great composer (Shine, one of my faves huhu), such a great Rapper (he gets some amount of hate for his voice, but I actually really like it!), Main Dancer (what a good dancer tbh), and very unique personality. I love him, he’s so talented. (But anyway, even with him gone, Pentagon isn’t lacking! They’re still so great!)

my idolverse characters ˊˎ-

— kim sora (fc: bella) / center and main rapper of pixy. sora had a rough upbringing and she left home as soon as she could. she was scouted by push entertainment and started training to become an idol. being an all-rounder, sora was sent to a survival show to gather attention to push’s new gg. she’s very individualistic and arrogant, knowing very well she’s at the top amongst other trainees in her company. she’s very goal-driven and wants to debut no matter what. after pixy’s 1st win, she eases up and lets herself become closer with the members. her competitiveness aside, pixy’s success is sora’s number one priority. she’s dating siwan and their relationship is outed in a few months time, following hyunyeon. an it girl, with lots of modelling gigs and makeup endorsements. will debut as a soloist in the future and also produce her own music. needs bffs!!

— son yeeun (fc: nayeon) / lead vocalist of pixy. she was the former leader during their trainee days and now yeeun and subin are the parents of pixy. she’s a very calm and collected person, knowing very well how to navigate the public’s attention. yeeun is soft hearted and tries to see the best in people, even if they don’t give her the same positive energy back. she loves music and singing, constantly writing and composing new things on her own. she hopes to produce for pixy someday. yeeun gets along with her members well and often cooks in the dorm. she has done osts and mc-ing for music shows. yeeun previously dated dohwan for a while but they slowly grew apart and eventually broke up. needs a girlfriend and some friends pls and thank you <3

— choi siwan (fc: san) / lead dancer and maknae of dusk. having debuted at a very young age, siwan knows the ins and outs of the industry. with every fling he’s ever had, he’s managed to avoid any exposé. but rumours have followed him around regardless which complicated things while he tried to get sora to even talk to him. loves dancing and dreams of having his own solo career. he likes to choreograph and becomes the duality king for his fierce performance and goofy personality. a baby around his hyungs. doesn’t have much personality other than sora love-bot and himbo but i love him anyway <3 needs some friends!!

— park dohwan (fc: mingyu) / vocalist and songwriter of knockout. soft spoken and a bit of an introvert, dohwan relies on music to unwind and relax. he wanted to be a pianist when he was younger but an injury made him quit. he was scouted for his looks and was initially working to become an actor until he decided he didn’t want to quit music altogether. dohwan is slowly learning more about producing and composing from his members and hopes knockout will sing some of his songs on stage. despite his shy nature, he becomes a complete goof with his members and other people he’s comfortable with. lover of art and all kinds of music. he’s quite laidback and people don’t see him angry very often. after his breakup with yeeun, he started dating gayoung a few months later. needs friends <3

— do gayoung (fc: bona) / main rapper, dancer and visual of spellbound. gayoung is the second daughter of a famous screenplay writer and a fashion designer from the united states. her parents made sure she and her sister had a very private and “normal” childhood, despite their wealth and privilage always managing to break every attempt at normalcy. with an array of possibilities in front of her, gayoung decided to go for the uncertain one. prism had opened auditions in her city and she decided to try it out, without anyone’s knowledge. obviously, she passed and without batting an eye, gayoung moved to seoul to become an idol. her confidence can be seen as complete delusion sometimes and she’ll have you convinced of any idiotic idea as a good one if you listen long enough. quite bubbly and positive, her presence is noticeable miles away. she’s charismatic and smart, which people sometimes don’t give her enough credit for. she had a crush on dohwan for over a year by the time they start dating. she saw him at an end of the year show and said to herself “he’s gonna be my boyfriend”. we love a go-getter! i see her having many cfs and brand deals, has probably done some acting as well. she posts a lot of dance covers too. has at least one friend in every group you can think of! very good to her juniors. needs a bff group <3

— na eunjae (fc: q/changmin) / main dancer and center of æson. he’s very bare bones right now. very arrogant but in a way that you can’t tell him off because it just comes off as pure honesty. seems like he lives in a different world with his choice of words and can look quite detached from everything despite being very observant. he’s very focused on his dancing skills and was the first trainee chosen for aeson. even with his aloofness and brutal honesty, eunjae is very caring and attentive. he shows care in silence. open for smooching!

— æson: push entertainment’s youngest boy group. debuted december of 2020 with CHECKMATE and 9 members. this is their playlist so far, with mostly title tracks and a few b-sides. i’ll be adding more to that soon! aeson is a concept group and they tell stories with their comebacks. with checkmate, aeson sets the foundation of their lore and the next three comebacks tell the main arc — a fallen king, an usurper, an illicit affair. aeson has a heavy focus on choreography. they achieve their first win with their debut song but only gain mass popularity with their second comeback. give me more aeson members pls <3

↬ a/n: wasn’t too sure what was running through my head when i wrote this and on hindsight i’m pretty sure it was empty and all i can focus on is just the gif of sunwoo’s body rolls. DON’T READ THIS QUESTIONABLE PIECE I BEG OF YOU

As a manager in charge of watching 12 rowdy boys, you had half wished that you had taken a diploma in early childhood education. You sighed in relief when your duties were being passed on to the filming crew, which was going to produce Come On! The Boyz for the different types of “fairies”. Your good friend, Yoomi walked over to you, “I can’t imagine you trying to handle all 12 of them at once. They can be quite a bunch.” She reached behind you to grab the makeup bag and you saluted, “Good luck dealing with my boys today.”

“We’re going to begin filming! Please come on set!” The cameraman called out and the 12 of them filed onto the white stage. “Oof, it’s just another opportunity for Sunwoo to show off his acting skills.” You realised, muttering to yourself. You had to admit, Sunwoo was the jokester of The Boyz, yet he had many unique talents that made him rather prominent amongst the rest of them. You glanced at the set and Sunwoo roughly pulled on the collar of his jacket, “I will tear your limbs apart!” It wasn’t long after the top 3 “fairies” had received their badges that the director shouted “CUT!” and 12 of them moved out of the stage to touch-up their makeup.

You watched as Yoomi and a couple of the staff from the makeup team swarming amongst the 12 of them.You moved closer towards Yoomi as leaned towards you, speaking in hushed tones as she lightly dabbed Sunwoo’s sweat off his forehead, “Sunwoo-ya! You can practically do everything! Act, dance, rap and even probably sing!” You butted in, being just a little sarcastic on your part, “He has an image to uphold you know, being The Boyz’s comedian. His ego is so visible; I can almost watch it grow.” You muttered the last part to yourself and Sunwoo raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow.

“Noona-ya! How can you say that! It’s not because I have an image to uphold, but it’s because of fan service, you know?” Sunwoo was the only one who would call you “noona-ya” so casually, partly because you had told all 12 of them to call you noona and partly because you had known Sunwoo since he was just a little boy. “Yes, yes. I know that.” “Mhm. So tone it down a little so others get the spotlight,” You teased.

“Say, I could have been an actor!” Sunwoo received a mock-glare (more like a really adorable pout) from Jacob, “If you say that one more time, The Boyz would not hesitate to kick you out!”

“Hey, noona! What did you think of my lines just now? Wasn’t I really sexy?”

“Ray” May 2020 Issue - Stray Kids Interview (Hyung line)

Commonly known as “SKZ”, Stray Kids the group that needs to be payed attention in 2020 finally made their Japan debut after successfully holding their showcase at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium last year December! Spread across 10 pages, we will thoroughly analyse the 8 members!

Q, What makes Stray Kids unique?

LK: That all 8 of us have completely different colours. Depending on the members that are put together, the colours differ, and when all of us are put together, we are able to demonstrate an even larger amount of synergy.

CB: When many different colours are put together, it usually ends up black. However, in our case, it doesn’t become black but the colours we individually have can be seen.

IN: I also think another charm is the difference between how we are on stage and off stage! On stage, everyone is passionate and cool, but off stage, wre are very loud and cute.

Q. Tell us some memories from last year’s showcase!

BC: It was a performance not long after the official lightstick was released, but STAY’s were shaking the lightstick and I can’t forget that picture.

HN: I was really happy that they sang out songs with us!

SM: As the lyrics are in Korean, I think it was difficult for them to sing it, they sang along with us.

CB: I can’t forget everyone watching us as they shook the lightsticks.

Q. Is there a song you’d like to recommend from your Japanese debut album?

HJ: Double Knot. It’s a very powerful song, and when listening to it, you naturally feel as if you gain strength. If you want to feel like that, I recommend this song!

FX: My Pace has a good beat and is a song that gets you hyper, but the lyrics has the message “There’s no need to rush, it’s okay at your own pace”. Anyone can lose sight of their own pace, so I believe it is a song that can be understood by many people.

Q. Are there any activities or goals you’d like to accomplish through Japanese promotions?

FX: I’d like to go on variety programs, and also go around Japan!

LK: Would it be Han and Changbin that’ll be the most successful on variety programs? Haha

CB: I want to practise Japanese a lot, and do some free talking at a concert.

LK: Our goal is to have a dome tour! If we can stand on a dome stage, I want to prepare unit and solo stages and create a cool stage!

HN: We’re aiming to become artists that can have a good influence. We hope we can be like that for everyone!

Stray Kid’s back pillar! Reliable all-rounder leader - Bang Chan

Born on October 3rd, 1997. Blood type O. From Australia. Leader of the group, respected by everyone and organised. In charge of lyric writing, song making, producing, as well as rap, vocal, and dance.

SM: He’s very pale and looks like a vampire!

HN: (In Japanese) “A great leader”

CB: Even if there is no time, he’d try to get everything completed. Han and I would go “Ah, we can’t do it” and tend to give up, but he doesn’t do that. He also takes care of the mental sides of the members.

Q. Tell us something surprising about the members!

BC: Seungmin is really mischievous. He suddenly comes towards me and goes “Waaah!” and he often does really weird stuff haha.

Q. Is there any Japanese piece you like?

BC: The movie “My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday”. The general atmosphere of the movie is warm and I like that.

Q. If you become another member for a day, who would it be?

BC: I want to become Felix and play games! Because Felix is always doing games haha. I also want to savour that nice voice of his.

Q. What do you think is the most important aspect to accomplish a dream?

BC: Always think about the future, and live the present. Depending on how you live in the present, you future changes, You can’t go back into the past, so I look towards my dreams with an open perspective.

Q. What is your charming point?

BC: I’m very athletic. I used to swim and play football at Australia, I can do anything!

Q. How do you switch up when you’re tired or feeling down?

BC: I talk to the members. Even by just being with them, I can feel happier and joyful. When I talk to them about my worries or just anything in general, I feel a lot brighter. When I’m feeling down, Seungmin plays tricks on me but it does help me feel better haha.

Q. What is something you always bring with you on foreign schedules?

BC: My computer that I use to write songs. I always have it with me, and I make songs in foreign countries as well. I made some today too.

Q. What is a Japanese word you learnt recently?

BC: 「役に立つ」(”To be useful”). I learnt it in Japanese class, and I used it once.

Q. Is there a place you’d like to go in Japan?

BC: Osaka! Sana from Twice who is a senior at the company is from the Kansai prefecture, and she told me a lot of stories when we were trainees. I want to get to know the culture of Osaka!

Q. If you weren’t a singer, what do you think you would be doing?

BC: Either an athlete or actor. I used to go to a performing arts school in Australia. I got accepted through a music exam, but I was also interested in acting. Or, I would have been a football player or swimmer!

The 4D Ikemen who has charms that cannot be stopped - Lee Know

Born on October 25th, 1998. Blood type O. From his powerful performance, impressive dancing skills, and flowery appearance, he is nicknamed the “Dancing Gem”. On the other hand, he tends to say unique things and is called as a peculiar.

HJ: He is often teased and made fun of, but at times, he shows how helpful and caring he is and I’m amazed. Although he acts as if he doesn’t care, he has a heart. I think thats a nice quality of his.

FX: He is exactly the “brother”. During practise, he watches us warmly from the back. I’m still studying Japanese, and there are time when I fumble for words during ments, but [Lee Know] helps me secretly, and always supports me without large actions.

Q. What is your charming point?

LK: My entire existence. Please focus on me on stage when I’m sweating and getting sexier and sexier.

Q. What is the first you do after you wake up in the morning?

LK: I drink lactic acid bacteria! Apparently it is good to boost bowel movement and immunity. As I have gotten older, I feel like I get tired easily so I drink it these days haha.

Q. What is a Japanese word you learnt recently?

LK: 「リノさん、今何をしていますか？」(Lee Know san, what are you doing right now?). I take Japanese class at Korea, and I was learning this exact phrase haha.

Q. If you become another member for a day, who would it be?

LK: By elimination method, it’ll have to be I.N. haha. I also want to experience the love the youngest member receives. When I think I.N. is cute? Anytime when his eyes aren’t open! By that, I mean when only he is sleeping haha.

Q. What do you think is the most important aspect to accomplish a dream?

LK: To work hard. I believed chances will always come to everyone, but there is no use if you are not prepared to grab that chance. Thats why I think it is important to work hard to prepare to grab those chances.

Q. If you weren’t a singer, what do you think you would be doing?

I think I would be fishing from a water reservoir, fighting a battle with myself. Although I’ve never done it before haha.

Q. Is there any Japanese piece you like?

LK: I like everything! (In Japanese) I like anime the most, and I really like “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime”. Its about an corporate worker who dies and becomes reborn as a slime. Its fantasy but there is a love story as well, and its really great!

Q. Anything you’re into these days?

LK: CrossFit. I started it to diet, but I’m really into it now. I watch clips and experiment with it. Its difficult, but it helps me to release stress by adding weight to my body. I think its important to completely rest when resting, and to really go for it when you’re working out. Thanks to CrossFit, I’ve gained physical strength, and this helps me during performances as well.

Q. How do you switch up when you’re tired or feeling down?

LK: I do pushups. After about 5 sets of 10 pushups, my body gets warmed up. It makes me feel better when I’m banking up my muscles.

Q. Is there a place you’d like to go in Japan?

LK: Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. There are both whales and sharks so I’ll like to see them! Okinawa is famous for its beaches, so I’ll like to go there as well.

“I love dark” but a rapper filled with cute charms - Changbin

Born on August 11th, 1999. Blood type O. Known for his super fast rapping, he is a skilled rapper. Along with Bang Chan and Han, he is part of the producing unit “3RACHA”. He also has a cute side of being teased by the younger members.

SM: He’s a reliable brother.

BC: Yeah, he’s younger than me but he seems older sometimes. Although he can be quite mischievous at times haha.

CB: Yeah, I like pulling tricks.

HN: We all ignore you though.

BC: He’s annoying haha. (In Japanese)

Q. What is your charming point?

CB: The difference between me on stage and everyday life. On stage, I seem charismatic and give off a dark image, but off stage I’m completely different! I’m usually bright and easy to engage with.

Q. How do you switch up when you’re tired or feeling down?

CB: These days I’ve been trying to talk to the members. I recently realised its better not to bottle it up by myself. I talk to my sister or with the members. I talk the most to Seungmin. Seungmin really relies on me, and although he is younger, he is also reliable and gives me good advice.

Q. What is something you always bring with you on foreign schedules?

CB: Vitamins and apple juice. I need to take care of my health. It’s really good for the body if you drink apple juice in the morning”

Q. What do you think is the most important aspect to accomplish a dream?

CB: Its important to think about why you want to accomplish that dream in the first place. Its also important to have the mindset “I’m moving towards my goal”, to not be swayed by others, and to trust the passion you have in yourself. Along with STAY’s, I want to have this mindset and accomplish my dreams!

Q. If you weren’t a singer, what do you think you would be doing?

CB: I think I’d be playing around. Even then, I think I would have been making music. When I was younger, I wanted to be the president, a scientist, and a elementary school teacher. I was interested in many occupations, but I never thought about it carefully.

Q. Is there any Japanese piece you like?

CB: If its anime, I like “Crayon Shin-chan” and for music, I like ONE OK ROCK’s “Clock Strikes”!

Q. Tell us something surprising about the members!

CB: Han is actually really clean. He showers a lot. And, he’s really clever! He doesn’t seem as if he’s thinking much, but he’s thinking really deeply and also really imaginative. He’s thinking a lot, and that allows him to write the lyrics to a song in an hour.

Q. If you become another member for a day, who would it be?

CB: Hyunjin. He’s tall and good looking. If I were him, I would be walking around holding a mirror haha.

Q. Is there a place you’d like to go in Japan?

CB: To a ryokan. When we did a concert in Japan, my parents came and went to a ryokan without me. They sent me pictures, and I was really envious!

Q. What is a Japanese word you learnt recently?

CB: 「ぴえん」(t/n the pleading face emoji). At a fan sign, a Japanese fan told me!

Behind his cool visuals, there is a passion and hard work - Hyunjin

Born on March 20th, 2000. Blood type B. The “visual centre” that all the members agree on. His speciality is dance, and along with Lee Know and Felix, he is part of “Dance Racha”. A hardworking dancer.

FX: His passion towards performances is amazing, and he is always thoroughly prepared. He really wants to show who he is, his own colour. Depending on the song, he is able to show his cute or sexy side, his skills get better and better each day!

LK: He is between cold water and hot water. Although he may seem cool, he is passionate and his heart is warm. With his cool exterior, he makes lukewarm water.

IN: He is like warm water. Because Hyunjin hyung is really hot! Really, he is always hot and sweating. He really is a warm person.

Q. What made you the most excited recently?

HJ: On New Year’s Eve, we had a party with all the members! In Korea, we all turn a year older on New Year’s, so we got together to celebrate I.N. who is now legal! We ordered and ate a lot of food. What I want to eat on my birthday? I want to have my mother’s seaweed soup!

Q. What is your charming point?

HJ: I’m a hard worker. I stand on stage because I work extremely hard. I really try to change the mood depending on the performance, so please pay attention to my dancing!

Q. Is there any Japanese piece you like?

HJ: “Inazuma Eleven”. It’s a football anime. I used to play football when I was younger and I loved playing it with my friends.

Q. How do you switch up when you’re tired or feeling down? HJ: I let it flow according to the time. I think most things can be resolved when time passes. I usually let things flow, but when its really hard, I watch a sad movie and cry watching it.

Q. What do you think is the most important aspect to accomplish a dream?

HJ: Hard work and the environment around you. I think I’m here right now because I had many older brothers and sisters who helped me when I was a trainee. There were a lot of things I wasn’t good at or didn’t like, and it was tough, I was able to come this far because there were many people that supported me.

Q. If you weren’t a singer, what do you think you would be doing?

Overwhelmed by my studies and I might have been stressed haha. I wanted to be a interior designer and used to study maths seriously. I wanted to design a house and live with my parents.

Q. Is there anything you’re into these days?

HJ; Listening to 80′s Korean music. I write lyrics, so I was interested in the lyrics of old songs. After listening to many songs, I realised there are really good songs, and I’m into it these days.

Q. If you become another member for a day, who would it be?

HJ: I want to become Felix and speak english fluently!

Q. Is there a place you’d like to go in Japan?

HJ: I want to travel Tokyo with my parents. I want to go to a CD shop and show them my photo and say “I’m here!”.

Q. What is a Japanese word you learnt recently?

HJ: 「なるほど」(”I see”). I think 「なるほど」is the word I hear most frequently in Japan.

Please Welcome on Stage: Z-Boys

KPop is probably the current music industry that’s fast growing and has immersed in almost every country. It has also penetrated very vast market from the States, Australia, Europe, to Asia. One of currently sought-after KPop group bands is Z-Boys, a group of 7 multicultural members under Zenith Media Contents. Similar as Z-Girls, Z-Boys is created to become the bridge of cultural differences in Asia.

Blink from Thailand, Gai from Japan, Josh from the Philippines, Mavin from Indonesia, Perry from Taiwan, Roy from Vietnam and Sid from India. Z-Boys has recently released their second single called Holla Holla, the boys also did a showcase in the Philippines after visiting Vietnam and Indonesia beforehand.

Could you share the background story on how Z-Boys were formed?

Mavin: “So the group was created through auditions held in each country, and thankfully we all got through the auditions until the end. All the final participants were sent to Korea to receive a 3 months exclusive training. February 23rd marked our debut with No Limit through our showcase at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium with our fellow sister group, Z-Girls. And now we just released our second single called Holla Holla.”

Josh: “Also, the Z in our group actually means Z generation, which is for kids who were born post-1995.”

About the dancing routine—what is the hardest dance style or singing note?

Roy: “Actually, every routine has its own difficulties, thus we have to work extremely hard to show the best results for the fans out there. Also this is actually our dream, so we need to pull off every obstacle out there.”

Do you guys have your own fave song and why? Also, Who is your current favorite musician?

Sid: “We love all of them equally, however, to be honest, the second single is our main focus right now, and if we compare all of them, we kinda gravitate towards Holla Holla more.”

Blink:

“There are so many groups that we look up to, but we honestly love and respect BTS so much. They put out such a great example for all of us and we’d like to be like them one day.”

Roy: “We’d love to perform in a big stage.”

Mavin: “Apart from KPop groups, for me, personally I like Bruno Mars a lot, because for me, he’s a great musician—he produces his own music, he’s incredibly talented in dancing also. The way I see him is that he’s an all-rounder.”

Josh: “We look up after many KPop groups, but we don’t define ourselves as a KPop group, because we produce our song with Asia as our target or our main focus.”

And now that you have fans all around the world, what do you want to say to your Indonesian fans?

Josh:

As a group, we’re still growing and we’re still in a process to find our way to reach our out to Galax-Z, we hope that they won’t get tired of showering us with supports and love.”

Sid:

“I think we’re progressing really well, and that we won’t stop working hard, and for you Indonesian fans, we would love to say thank you so much for your love and support, because it means so much to us. You guys have been there with us since the very beginning, it means the world to us and we meant it, so saya cinta kalian.”

We understand that you have a tight schedule, but if you guys have a spare time, what do you usually do? Your hobbies.

Perry: “First of all, we barely have free time other than Sunday, so for me, I love to travel around the city, so when I have a free time, I’d like to find some cool spots.”

Mavin:

“When we’re about to release new tunes or other big projects, we don’t have much time because we like to practice during our days off. But we like to sometimes look around and do some window shopping.”

Blink: “I love to shop during my days off, I’d like to go around and find some cool stuffs, other than that, I’ll probably just watch some movies and chill.”

Sid: “Probably just sitting around with my laptop and let ideas come to mind, lyrics wise. Enjoying the music and let myself drown in music and in the process. I’d like to watch some movies as well.”

Josh: “I like to stay inside with some good movies, but when I’m in the mood, I probably go out and hunt for new shoes.”

Gai: “I’d like to get some rest. Just have a day to really get a good sleep.”

Roy: “As we mentioned it before, we don’t have much time to rest, so when we do, I’d like to use it get some rest, and sometimes to shop as well.”

Best thing of being a Z-Boys?

Roy:

“I can learn many cultural things from fellow members. I feel like it’s easy to solve any problems if you’re coming from the same country, language wise. But what each of us is totally different, thus we often fight, cry, but also laugh together and those what I love the most from being in this group—the realness.”

Josh: “Another thing I love from being a Z-Boy, apart from what Roy has mentioned, I’m glad that it’s us that are chosen to represent each of the country. It’s a pressure indeed, but it’s also an honor to represent each country and we’re ready to take it on.”

Sid: “To share various cultures in one group. We get the chance to get to know each other and about the culture, and then we make music together. Sharing playlist, and to maintain a good connection with one another, so I feel proud.”

Blink: “That everything about us is unique that makes us stand out even more.”

Mavin: “Having a brother in law in every country so whenever I go to Asia, I have no more worries because I have them to guide me. I’ll be very proud to visit their countries.”

Perry:

“In Taiwan, there are no boybands, it’s quite segmented—there are only actors, actresses, and models, so I feel extremely grateful and special to be in Z-Boys and promote my country as the representative.”

What’s next for Z-Boys in the future?

Josh: “We just had a showcase in Indonesia and in the Philippines on September 21st. And after that hopefully, we’ll be releasing out our 3rd single soon.”

Roy:

“We’d like to be the cultural bridge to any cultural differences and we hope that we can give the movement to the world so please keep on supporting us.”

Josh:

“We want to inspire youngsters, because just like them, we start our dreams from the scratch so we’d love to show them that you shouldn’t give up on your dreams.”

Sid:

“Definitely, keep aiming your dreams high because you can do anything and go anywhere through your dreams.”

College AU! Lee Felix

We’re finally on the home stretch, the end is near for this series!! thank you for the immense amount of support you guys are giving us it means the world xxx

-Major: Musical Theatre

-Minor: none, he has no time outside of rehearsals

-Sports: the same martial arts club as Woojin but he specialises in taekwondo, he’s the college’s star taekwondo player and even won them several medal in the nation championships he like a god on campus tbh,, also plays soccer but isn’t officially part of the team bc he has too many other commitments with his course though sometimes they do call him up if they’re in DIRE need of a player

-Clubs: film club, just bc he likes to watch films and listen to other people’s opinion of films tbh (and he can take naps if the film is boring lmao), is also the deputy of the musical theatre society so he has a lot of power of what musicals they covered

-Felix for the last time we’re NOT doing Wicked and if we ever did I point blank REFUSE to cast you as Glinda bc you are a “cute blonde”

-But pleeaaaaaaase I’ll do more vocal training!

-Felix NO, Glinda is a soprano and you struggle to hit even the alto notes most days

-ONE CHANCE

-Felix chose to do musical theatre bc it combines his love of singing and dancing and being completely over the top,, like have you ever seen a musical at least one character wasn’t kinda over the top

-When he was a kid his parents took him to see The Lion King and he was in awe of it that he decided that he wanted to be in musical theatre ever since then

-At first, he helped out backstage with props, makeup, costume etc. during his school years and it wasn’t until his first year of high school that the director encouraged him to actually audition

-Everyone was extremely shocked that the deep voiced backstage genius could actually sing extremely well,,, like who’d have thought that

-Whilst he wasn’t the best singer he still got cast in a supporting role and he had the time of his life,,, now he got to experience what the actors did when he put them through stuff and he even did his own damn makeup as well during rehearsals

-So yeah up until he graduated Felix went to star in other musicals put on by his school and by his last year he was finally made principal role and he was all big smiles when the cast list went up and he was beaming for days and went into rehearsals with a fully learned script that was all highlighted and sticky notes on the front with potential prop/costume/makeup ideas on he’s just a wholesome boy

-Tho nothing prepared him for the sheer STRESS of being the main character as well as helping out the younger kids, organising props and costumes AND choreographing (can confirm this is the worst and happened to me, it was HELL)

-So yeah, Felix loved musical theatre and was pretty much accepted straight away onto the college course bc of his bright personality and beautiful voice, not to mention he was pretty much an all rounder when it came to the industry so they were delighted to accept him

-However,,, felix missed the accommodation deadline so ended up messaging all the college facebook boards asking if anyone was looking for a flatmate or house share,,, it was chan who saw this and was like yes my son pls join me

-Chan and Felix have this weird father/son/best friend dynamic, like chan would always pack Felix with a lunchbox and water bc he knew that Felix would forget especially when he was rushing round bc he was nearly late for dance class but they also played video games and had wrestling matches in their dorm for ??? no reason ??

-One time Woojin walked in on them arm wrestling and he was like ??? is that how friendship is formed in Australia ??? how bizarre before helping himself to snacks as Felix lost and decided to flip Chan over taekwondo style and Woojin just watched as he munched on some Cheetos or something

-It was just a bit weird but they had come to accept it,,, besides Felix loved being looked after bc it meant he didn’t have to cook food or anything bc chan really enjoyed it lmao

-Felix’s favourite class by far was his dance class

-He was one of the star dancers of the group and loved to help out to choreograph routines for literally every dance number

-Like,, u need ballet for At The Ballet from A Chorus Line??? He’s got you covered. Jazz sequence for West Side Story? He got you COVERED

-He’s just a very talented boy,, though he admits that he may not be the best technically bc he hasn’t received formal dance training whilst at high school he just had the ability to pick up the dance quickly and wasn’t afraid to ask for help when he needed it

-Hell, he even dragged Minho after he finished class one day so he could get pointers on where he could improve and Minho was like,,, fine but pls buy me coffee I’m DYING (yes Minho does have a coffee addiction,, it’s a problem tbh)

-Felix was an extremely talented kid but he got all shy whenever someone complimented his dancing, or his acting but ESPECIALLY his singing

-Bc even to this day,, he was still nervous about singing

-Like he knew he could sing,,, but in comparison to some of the other people on his course he wasn’t exactly the most confident in his singing ability

-He often went to the music practice rooms so he could practice his songs over and over again until his throat was sore and chan had to make him honey and lemon tea when he got back from practice

-Please protect this soft boy

-Also,,, you KNOW that the boys were his biggest fans whenever he was in shows

-His first project performance happened and he managed to get all of his friends tickets on the front row (how he did this was unknown to literally everyone bc it’s practically impossible)

-He was extremely nervous bc his friends had never seen him perform in a musical before and it was his FIRST college performance how could he not be nervous

-The project was a piece celebrating the different genres and songs from iconic musicals and Felix was the centre for the Rent portion

-(But can you just imagine Felix in Mark’s red and blue knitted sweater and wearing circle glasses whilst he dances to La Vie Boheme??? Okay it would be the best thing ever convince me otherwise)

-He needn’t have been worried bc as soon as he stood on stage and the music kicked in, he was Mark Cohen singing about the death of Bohemia and jumping around the stage like he was born to be there

-He doesn’t remember much of that performance bc he was whisked off stage to prepare for another song but he does remember how the audience (read: the boys) screamed his name as he ran off stage

-The rest of the show went incredibly well and as he came out for his bow, he saw Chan wiping a stray tear as Jeongin laughed at him and Felix had to stop himself from feeling the urge of crying bc his hyung was

-They waited for him as he collected all of his belongings from backstage, too lazy to wipe his makeup off figuring he could just do it home

-When he stepped into the auditorium, all 8 of them pulled him to a bone crushing hug for a good 5 minutes before he literally had to push them off him so he could BREATHE

-Chan pulled him for one more hug, mumbling into his neck about how proud he was of Felix and damn,,, Felix nearly started crying

-It wasn’t until Chan was prompted to let go off him so they could give him his flowers (Changbin claims he was coerced into it when he gave them to him but u know that he went and sought out the best flower shop the day before so they could get the flower bouquet ready for the next day uwu)

-Felix laughed when Changbin handed over the smile and just tapped his cheek, tilting it towards Changbin

-Changbin BLUSHED like hell before giving Felix a peck on the cheek

-Felix would like to go on record to say no he did not squeal happily when Seo Changbin kissed his cheek thank you that is a LIE

-After they had their little celebration, Chan and Woojin announced that they were taking them out for bbq bc of how well Felix performed and they all whooped in excitement, honestly thrilled that mum and dad were taking them out for food

-Jisung, walking to the bbq place: thank every deity under the sun I’ve not eaten a proper meal since I left home 4 months ago

-Legend has it that the 9 boys who entered the restaurant nearly fully cleared out the entire restaurant’s kitchen but it has yet to be confirmed, reports say, stay tuned in to see if it ever does (hint: it doesn’t)

-Your first meeting with Felix is very different and honestly, you wish to erase it from your memory

-You were part of the musical theatre department, focusing on the backstage aspect with particular focus on lighting and sound

-You knew of Felix, bc how could you not, but you never worked with him beyond getting prompts from the director as to when to light him or turn his mic on

-As much as Felix wanted to go and meet all the backstage crew when they were practicing all together it just wasn’t feasible bc he could not justify running to the sound box just to say hi right in the middle of practice

-And he didn’t have any time in between classes bc your classes were on at the same time as his

-The only time he got to at least have some form of greeting was when he waved at you so you could see what he looks like for your lighting cues

-Felix was sad bc he wanted to say hi and wish everyone good luck for the upcoming performance but he couldn’t as he was rushed off his feet with rehearsals and class bless his soul

-After the performance finished, some of the practical course students asked the backstage crew if they’d like to go to karaoke once they had tidied up

-Everyone agreed, tho u weren’t actually there bc you were in the lightbox above the stage but once you got there all your friends were like !!!!!! Y/N THEY INVITED US TO KARAOKE YOU HAVE TO COME

-You just rolled your eyes and let yourself be dragged towards the karaoke rooms

-At first, you were a bit awkward bc you had never hung out with the actual musical theatre kids as you mainly stuck with ur lighting crew buddies but you were willing to give them a chance

-The first few songs were a little bit serious and you were kinda bored so you went up to the machine and were like “let’s liven up the place a bit”

-Well it was at this point that Felix walked into the room, late bc he was going through some notes with the director, and saw you on top of the table screaming your lungs out to American Idiot whilst everyone screamed along with you

-Well Felix wasn’t one to ignore a party esp when Green Day was playing so he grabbed the other microphone from Jihyo’s hand and began to scream along with you

-You grinned, grabbing his hand and pulling him onto the table with you

-The two of you jammed out and nearly broke it but honestly,,, it was worth it bc you got to hear Felix’s beautiful laugh for yourself uwu

-When the song finished the two of you were just stood on the table panting and grinning wildly at each other before he hopped off and offered you his hand so you could get off the table my HEART

-Felix pulled you over to the sofa and introduced himself to you

-“I’m Felix, musical theatre student”

-“I’m Y/N, also a musical theatre student but not practical, I work backstage but you would probably find me in the lighting box or the sound booth”

-“OH I remember you, you did the lighting for the dance performance today right?” he asked excitedly

-“Yes I did” you couldn’t help but grin back at him,,, bc hello is smile is beautiful and contagious as hell!!!

-The two of you chatted as best as you could over the sound of Jihyo and Youngjae crooning another love song down the microphones

-You just shook your head, gesturing Felix over to the machine so he could pick a new song

-Well,,, he interrupted the love fest and the sound of Wonderwall bled through the speakers and you started crying in laughter as Felix introduced the song “so anyway here’s Wonderwall”

-The two of you did a very dramatic re-enactment of the song and Felix couldn’t help but smile when you were basically screaming down the microphone during the chorus

-Your friends just watched in part hate,,, bc hello its Wonderwall and part admiration bc how the hell could two people who have only just met do such an in-sync performance of a well hated song????

-Magic, Youngjae told Jaebum as they both watched in disgust as you threw yourselves across the room in some form of contemporary dance??? Youngjae definitely didn’t know what he was witnessing but he wasn’t sure he liked it

-So anyway the night ends with relatively few casualties, only one broken glass that Dowoon managed to cut himself on and Jae somehow managed to lose his voice???? But other than that,,, it was a fun night

-As people parted ways, Felix noticed you walking the other way and he quickly ran after you throwing goodbyes to whoever was left

-“HEY Y/N WAIT UP!”

-You whipped around, not expecting Felix to be running after you

-Like,, wtf?

-You waited for Felix to catch up with you before you asked him why he ran after you

-“I just,,,, wanted to make sure you got home safely and besides I live this way too so I thought we could walk together!”

-You just smiled at his bright response and the two of you walked back to your accommodation talking about literally every topic under the sun

-He told you all about Australia and his flatmate Chan

-Don’t tell anyone but Chan is actually CB97 from 3RACHA

-You mean the underground rap group that is supposedly made up 3 college students

-The very same

-DUDE THAT’S SO COOL YOU HAVE TO SNEAK ME IN ONE DAY I’VE BEEN TRYING FOR MONTHS YOU KNOW

-Let me into the lighting box and consider it done

-You have a deal Felix pleasure doing business with you

-(felix pulls through a few weeks later and the two of jam just a little too hard and seungmin is extremely embarrassed to say that he knew the two of you)

-As it turns out, you live in the same apartment block as Felix and he actually walked you to your flat just so he could make sure you got home safely n u were like,,,, mate it’s a bit too much but okay

-Felix began to walk away as you unlocked your door before you heard footsteps approach you and you quickly turned around, brandishing your keys in the assailants’ face

-The assailant, however, was Felix who just looked at you in shock before laughing

-“Well, least I know you’re capable of defending yourself haha”

-“You asshole oh my god you scared me what do you want from me?”

-“Your number”

-O H

-Felix was very straightforward huh, you thought as he took his phone out of his pocket and handed it you

-You punched in your number and handed it back to him

-All the while, Felix was just smiling at you bc HECK he found you cute

-Ever since that night you and Felix became fast friends and yes, you did let him into the lighting box and teach him how to operate the basics bc Felix was hella interested in all aspects of musical theatre not just being on the stage

-You admired that quality about him bc many of the other students just took lighting and sound for granted and just tapped their foot impatiently as you configured the mic pack to the sound booth before handing it to them

-Not Felix though

-He would make conversation with you and even let you secure his microphone properly and you won’t lie that you felt yourself getting a little flustered as you hooked the mic round his ears and as you pulled back to see if it needed adjusting he was just smiling softly at you

-HECK

-Felix found you super cute when you were concentrating and he got distracted once as you were fixing the lights on stage than Jihyo had to literally smack the back of his head bc he was too focused on you lmao

-In his spare time he often begged you to let him see your notes for lighting and sound bc he was genuinely curious and wanted to see if he could figure out what all the codes were

-You just threw the script at him and told him to stop pestering you or else you would stop stocking up on timtams

-Felix never did pester you again, his love of timtams got the better of him

-So yeah,, you and Felix were hella close now

-You even found yourself going on “dates” (that’s what your friends called them, dismissing your protests claiming it was just a friends thing) with him

-And by dates, I mean the two of you went shopping together and had dinner afterwards, going to coffee shops and hell you even let Felix practice new makeup on you so he could improve his skills

-Felix,,, why the hell have you literally painted my whole damn face with cat features!

-We’re studying CATS okay let me LIVE

-I know for a fact you’re not bc literally yesterday you told me that your focus in class at the moment was Starlight Express and the last time I checked,,, that was about trains and people on roller skates not CATS

-You,,,, you’ve got me there I’m sorry

-Anyway,, before you knew it you found yourself falling hopelessly for Felix

-It didn’t help that you were preparing for the final musical of the year and you were practically assigned to work with Felix

-(You can bet your right sock that the rest of the lighting crew were in on this as they snickered whenever you were testing a new microphone with Felix and you began to blush, causing Felix to ask you if you were feeling okay and your crew were like GET IT Y/N)

-Little did you know that Felix was crushing on you as well bc well,,, everything you did was a distraction and he found himself thinking about you practically every day

-His class mates had noticed and told the lighting crew and they were like UGH FINALLY YOU NOTICED and they made a betting pool to see who would confess first

-Most bets were on Felix tbh, he was a loud outgoing kid so he probably had more guts do it than you

-Only a few lone members of the lighting crew stayed loyal to you bc they had a hunch you would confess at the end of the show

-Ah the show,,,

-It’s always stressful preparing for the show and Felix had ended up with the part of Enjolras in their production of Les Miserables

-The two of you were rushed off your feet bc the rehearsal process was actual HELL and it was hell both on stage and offstage

-Like Felix had to learn a whole new type of musical, with very little dance in it, and he was stressed bc he didn’t think he was doing a good job of portraying his character

-Whilst you,,, had the horrible task of designing lighting for an entire show (how you had ended up with that horrible task was beyond you but here you were, wishing for the show to be over so this hell would STOP)

-But alas,, the weeks running up the first performance were crazy and you barely had time to even text Felix bc half of your day was spent running through lighting with the crew and the other half was spent correcting your errors bc the director was a grouchy piece of work n nothing was perfect

-You missed spending time with Felix bc he could make you feel happy and relaxed with just a smile but every time you saw him offstage he seemed,,, a little off and distracted

-Just as you were about to go and ask if he was okay, you were whisked away by one of the sound people bc one of the mics weren’t working

-You never forgot the look on his face though

-Before you knew it, opening night was upon you and the theatre was in full work mode getting everything into position ready for when the audience came in

-Before the actors had arrived however, you snuck in backstage and dropped off a small bouquet of flowers onto Felix’s makeup station with a note that read “I’m sure you’ve got this Apollo”, a bottle of water and a timtam that had strict instructions to eat AFTER the show

-You giggled as you saw Felix wandering round with a small smile on his face, twiddling the note in his fingers unsure of who this was

-Throughout the performance your eyes were drawn to Felix almost like a magnet bc he was captivating as the leader of the revolution and tears actually started to trickle down your face as he sang Do You Hear the People Sing

-Like,,, you were so damn proud of how he was performing considering literally yesterday he was moping around

-As the show week progressed you left bigger bouquets of flowers with different encouraging notes and snacks on them and every day you saw Felix’s smile grow wider and his performance grow stronger

-As the final night rolled around you decided that today was the day

-You were going to confess your feelings to Felix

-You didn’t leave flowers this time, just a note that read

-If you want to know who I am, find me after the show. I’ll be the one with the bouquet of red roses love XXXX

-When Felix read this he was extremely nervous bc all week he had hoped for some sign as to who it was yet all of a sudden they were going to just reveal themselves?

-He didn’t know how he was going to react but secretly,,, he hoped it was you and if it wasn’t he wasn’t sure how he was going to react

-So anyway,, the show went on and by the end of it the whole audience was in tears

-When the actors came on for their individual bows you heard Felix’s friends literally roaring his name,, and was that Changbin holding a Felix banner and standing in his seat??

-When the bows for the technical team were happening you ended up locking eyes with Felix and he was just grinning at you, even as they moved around the theatre

-The final bow happened and you cracked your fingers, knowing it was time

-You bid the rest of your crew goodbye before picking up a bouquet of roses that were underneath the desk and they were like !!!!!! omg they’re going to do it?!?! And you just grinned, pressing a finger to your lips and sneaking out into the main auditorium

-You were slightly nervous bc heck,,, his best friends were here as well and they knew you and if they saw you they would not shut up

-They saw you anyway but Chan had literally choked Felix out to stop him from yelling at you and the rest of the boys were kinda scared so they just left you alone,, wondering if you were going to confess to Felix bc quite honestly,,,, they were sick of Felix’s pining over you lmao

-Before you knew it, the actors began spilling out into the auditorium and your heart began to beat rapidly, waiting for Felix to appear

-When he did you gasped a little bc honestly,, how dare he look so good with his blonde hair all curled and slight traces of makeup still around his eyes with a tired smile on his eyes

-You saw his eyes dart around the room, undoubtedly looking for the red roses you had told him about

-He eyes lit up and started to walk towards you so you decided to remove the flowers from your face

-Felix’s eyes literally widened and his pace picked up

-You just smiled before literally running to him and throwing yourself around his body and kissing him square on the lips

-W O W

-You didn’t plan on doing that but it worked I guess

-The whole auditorium burst into raucous applause, finally glad that the two of you had gotten together after literally almost a year of pining like wtf guys come on

-Chan wiped a tear before motioning to the other boys to go over to the two of you

-You had broken the kiss and were resting your heads together, giggling when the boys approached you uwu

-“So, Y/N you’re finally dating Felix hyung? Took you long enough” jeongin stated bluntly

-“JEONGIN YOU CANT JUST ASK THEM THAT JE-“

-“yes we are dating” Felix said, kissing your temple softly and wrapping an arm around your waist and the other one cradling the bouquet of roses you gave him

-DATING FELIX:

-Oh god it’s a whole MESS dating this boy istg

-Like where to even begin

-For a start, he’s even more smiley and insufferable during class bc he’s like yeah I’m dating the cute lighting technician whilst u Jackie are dating??? Who again exactly? I lost count after you dumped Jaebum bc you found Mark more attractive but then Mark refused to date you bc ??? I forgot tbh

-He literally runs his mouth too much that you literally had to fly from your class to his so you could slap a damn over his mouth so he would shut up

-He didn’t mean to be mean but honestly,,,, he was just saying what the whole class was thinking n you were like babe, I know Jackie is like that but pls keep your mouth shut otherwise if Jackie comes for you I refuse to help you

-B A B E

-Oh yeah, felix definitely calls you babe more than your actual name which makes seungmin fake vomit into his work every time he hears felix call you that

-You just stick your tongue out and call Felix baby and right that’s it Seungmin is transferring college bc he’s SICK of all the affection going round atm

-Date nights are mainly just movie nights bc you and felix are so damn tired all the time after class and there’s nothing better than cuddling him after a long day of class

-Whilst the film is playing you like to lay on half on top of him so you can see his face as he lazily tells you about the ballet workshop he went to that morning

-You just loved listening to him talk and you also liked to rest your head on his chest, feeling relaxed by the steady lull of his heartbeat and the way his chest moved up and down

-More often than not you would fall asleep like this and Chan would find you there at 2am when he went to get a glass of water and he would throw another blanket over you, tucking you in so you didn’t get cold during the night

-(You never did bc Felix is the literal embodiment of the sun in two ways,,, his personality and his damn body heat)

-Also hear me out,, you would take felix to the lighting box on weekends and teach him new lighting methods and you loved watching him being a giddy child when he got it right that you would reward him with kisses whenever he did bc it made the both of you giggle

-Honestly,,, kissing felix? A blessing you weren’t quite sure you deserved though he assured you everyday that you did bc he was always kissing ur forehead, nose, cheeks u name it

-One thing you loved doing was gently tracing the freckles on his face before lightly peppering them with kisses

-It made Felix blush like CRAZY but he loved it bc it was you and you were being cute as heck

-Other date nights included karaoke with the boys and the two of you confusing all of them when you yelled that your song was playing when Wonderwall came on

-Woojin,,, are they being serious right now?

-You know Chan, I really wish I knew

-Study dates weren’t really a thing the two of you did bc you were on such a practical course with not much studying,, but you still liked to go to coffee shops and rehearse lines with him when he had a show coming up or accompanying him to the dance studio when he had a dance project due in

-You being Felix’s biggest fan? Confirmed.

-Going along to every single one of Felix’s taekwondo matches and yelling alongside Changbin as Felix flipped his opponent over??? OF COURSE

-Though, people always wondered which one of you was actually dating Felix until Felix ran over to you and kissed you on the lips and not Changbin lmao

-You always greeted Felix with a bouquet of red roses at the end of each of his performances and he still blushed bc he still couldn’t believe you confessed before he did

-So he decided to reverse the situation and surprised you with flowers during the bows of the last night of one his shows

-Like,,, he called the lighting crew down under the pretence of giving them praise but the ulterior motive,,,, he gave you flowers on stage and then kissed your cheek UWU

-The two of you were the powerhouse couple of the theatre department that everyone was envious of bc you just understood each other so well???? Not to mention between the two of you, you could literally run an entire theatre by yourselves and still have sold out shows

-Just wow,,, you were THAT couple

Here in this CC I've told the story how gyegye's bestie Krumpus oppa yelled at trainees at survival show when they told him they wanted to be rappers. The reason he got mad was the unwritten rule of cent - the idol has to be all rounder and never focus on one thing only. There needs to be balance - you have to be very good in one thing and at least decent in others. Like, YB - he doesn't have powerful vocals, but his voice is pleasing to the ear, he is a good rapper and extraordinary dancer. Gyegye? His singing is OK and nothing more than OK (and even that OK gets questioned). Dancing is atrocious and he can't rap. So who can explain me what was he doing on survival show and how the hell he debuted? He is not even the idol turned actor - he is wannabe idol turned wannabe actor because backers said so. When him and YB met on cql set YB was already a mentor on survival show that was much more successful than the one where gyegye debuted few years before that. Feel the difference. And of course gyegye was also shoved as a guest into Produce 101 as if with his lack of skills and experience he had a right to be there as an elder for trainees on the show where dancing was one of the key skills. It happened because Goose wanted to put him on the same level as YB. Those shameless backers always shove him to the places where he doesn't belong. Sports - Lining endorsements, Olympics promotion - without any official title he is just forced on peope by backers. He barely can stand on ice, can't ride bicycle - him and sports are two completely incompatible things. He can't dance to save his life and look at him debuting on survival show and then being a guest on another survival show as if with his atrocious dancing and embarrassing stage presence he should be allowed around trainees. This force feeding is so shameless and the more his backers do that, the more people resist as they should

Review – Tanz der Vampire Köln, 21.5.2018

This Monday I finally got to see Tanz der Vampire again, and it was another great show!

I was asked to write a review by the lovely @3andastra3 and @grafenkind, so here we go:

The show in general:

The overall experience was once again incredible. My first time seeing it was in Hamburg and I have to say I liked the venue (Musical Dome Köln) better this time around.

The foyer was suitably decorated, with candelabras standing everywhere, tables sheeted with black satin and adorned with black roses, the bar covered in cobwebs (fake ones of course 😉).

As always, the cast and orchestra gave their all, you could tell. The show was energetic and impressive. The ensemble was superb, especially the dance ensemble really impressed me with their flawless performances. There are very few things I can criticise about all in all, one being that the music was very loud. It sometimes hurt my ears a bit and I couldn’t hear the singing from time to time, they weren’t loud enough in comparison. It was the same in Hamburg, even though I sat in the back last time, so I’m pretty the reason wasn’t because I was now sitting so close to the orchestra.

Also you could hear things being moved offstage from time to time, which was kind of distracting.

But these things didn’t bother me all that much and I was still able to enjoy the show.

The costumes:

I will keep this short and not compare the costumes to the ones in Vienna (I may do that after I have seen the Vienna show live as well), but one thing I noticed was that the costumes worn by the ensemble during Ewigkeit were very over the top. Meaning that they looked too fake, you could clearly see where the wigs began, some of the Vamps had vibrantly coloured costumes (they wore gloves for the bony-hand effect, which was slightly ruined again by, for example, green fingertips), and the fabrics were not very authentic (lots of sheer fabrics that don’t really look like they belong to the 19th or earlier centuries).

But other than that the costumes were great. I especially love the deep violet of the grafly cape, and the big shirt Herbert wears in the bathroom scene.

The cast:

David Arnsperger – Graf von Krolock

David is my first (and as of now only) Graf, and I loved him just as much as I did last time. His voice is smooth and deep, and he likes to sing very softly at times, which I like a lot.

Unfortunately those moments were drowned out by the music sometimes (as mentioned earlier).

His last note of ToFi and the first half of his last “Gier” during Unstillbare Gier for example were completely lost, which was very unfortunate.

His acting is also superb, his Gier was heart wrenching and his stage presence during Gott Ist Tot was incredible.

The only thing I have issues with is that his Graf is not nearly agitated and seductive enough for my taste.

He seems very calm and at peace, except for very brief glimpses during Gier. In my eyes the Graf is an impulsive, aggressive predator, whose power and vampiric nature breaks out from time to time.

Unless he is talking to a potential victim, then he becomes this smooth, alluring creature.

His Einladung seemed more like a fatherly figure giving a lecture to his daughter. The most seducing he did was during Vor Dem Schloss, when he was caressing the sponge (which was quite good, I’ll admit).

This may be partly due to his looks; David has a rounder face and adorable laughing lines – which makes him look very likeable, not like a Graf of darkness :)

What I really liked was that he had great comedic timing. My favourite moment was in Vor Dem Schloss when he slightly turned his back to Abronsius and Alfred after saying “Ich las ihr Buch ‘Die Fledermaus’, genial! Ich war gefangen!”, only to let his smile fall in an instant and to roll his eyes annoyedly.

Also, I love his ‘physical acting’ – he is incredibly good at doing the grafly walk (it literally looks like he is hovering a few inches off the ground, even when he’s walking down the spiral staircase, which I was very impressed by) and using his claws for full effect; he successfully hypnotised Alfred (and me) with his fingers.

All in all he is definitely a great Graf, would be happy to see him again!

Maureen Mac Gillavry – Sarah

I like Maureen as Sarah, she has a great voice and it sounds great with both David’s and Tom’s.

She does have a slight accent, and every now and then I couldn’t quite understand a word or two, but it didn’t bother me. I really liked her acting – there were many little moments where she was very expressive, sometimes without saying a single word.

For example at the beginning of Draussen Ist Freiheit, you could see from her movements that she was torn between running away to seek out the Graf and staying to talk to Alfred. She was very close to running away, but when Alfred called her name, she stopped and you could see she was fighting every urge to leave and instead turned around to talk to Alfred.

And after she turned and while biting Alfred her movements were very freaky, and her voice sounded almost like a demonic growl when she said “Blut Liebling, leck es ab” – it actually scared me a bit!

Tom Van der Ven – Alfred

Tom is such a great Alfred. He too has a slight accent, but I liked it. He has a beautiful voice and is also a great actor – I especially loved his shenanigans with the professor, which were played out perfectly! There were lots of little moments that I hadn’t picked up seeing the play the first time around, like Alfred getting the Professor ready for bed during Eine Schöne Tochter.

Victor Petersen – Professor Abronsius

There is no better Professor. Period.

Victor is so so SO good at playing the Professor, I kept forgetting that he is not actually a 70+ year old man. His mouth moves faster than my ears can pick up sounds (Bücher was incredible!!) and he hits high notes like nothing else. He kept squealing after screaming “Meuterei!” and I nearly cried from laughing. His chemistry with Tom is palpable and, again, I loved seeing them on stage together.

Christian Funk – Herbert von Krolock

Christian is very different from most Herberts, at least visually; he has a very strong jaw and looks very masculine in general. But within seconds of seeing Alfred he was batting his eyelashes like his life depended on it and it was incredible. He was playing the part of melodramatic heir perfectly, I especially loved his dramatic entrance at the beginning of the Ballsaalszene, only to then stand in the corner, sulking and inspecting his nails, when the attention was on his dad and Sarah XD

Christian has a rather deep voice for Herbert, but I really liked it. Especially during Carpe Noctem he sounded very powerful, which was great! I could see him play the Graf some day 😊

Jerzy Jeszke (Chagal), Sara Jane Checchi (Magda) and Yvonne Köstler (Rebecca) were all great as well, but there was nothing in particular that stood out for me to share here.

Other memorable moments:

There were a few more special moments that stood out, and I thought I’d share them with you too:

During Carpe Noctem the nightmare-Graf’s trousers had ripped at the back of the waistline; it was barely noticeable, but I was afraid they would give up completely during the rest of the scene – thankfully they didn’t 😉

Alfred would get these dopey expressions whenever he was thinking of Sarah – and in the Gruft, when the Professor said “denk an Chagal’s Tochter!” he even bit his lip on top of that. Pretty sure he wasn’t exactly thinking decent thoughts there XD

During Wenn Liebe In Dir Ist, Christian and Tom came each other really close (whether that was intentional or not I don’t know), at one point I even thought they were going for a kiss. Instead they both had to grin while dancing and staring into each other’s eyes. It was such a precious moment, I didn’t even care that they broke out of character there <3

When the Graf bit Sarah I didn’t see any blood at first. I did notice there was a little bit on her neck later, but the grafly lips were squeaky clean – either David doesn’t like to get his face dirty, or he accidentally took a sip of the blood before the bite and there wasn’t much left :D

When the three humans are discovered while dancing in front of the mirror, Alfred smashed his face right into the Graf’s belly. He stayed there and slowly moved his way up the Graf’s torso, face still pressed against his clothes, and when he tried to look up his vision must’ve been completely blocked by the Graf’s cravat. I’m not sure if this makes sense, but it was quite hilarious at the moment XD

The Graf’s response to the Professors “haha, Dreiiii!” was to growl. Like, a real low, dangerous growl, before asking “seid ihr bereit?”. I got the shivers, it was incredible.

Remo DâSouza on directing Vande Mataram featuring Tiger Shroff

Tiger Shroff is one all-rounder we know. Apart from acting, dancing like a pro and giving us larger than life action sequences, Tiger is also a singer. Last year he released his single Unbelievable and then Casanova. And now with his new song out Vande Mataram the excitement has doubled.

Tiger Shroff has been sharing a few clippings on social media about his new song Vande Mataram which will be out with full video on August 10th. The video is backed by Jackky Bhagnani and directed by Remo D’Souza. Today Remo D’Souza speaks to a leading daily and tells us more about the shoot for the song and how challenging it was to shoot amid the pandemic.

The director tells the daily that the shoot took place in Worli village and at a studio in Bandra. The director reveals that they had some intense rehearsals before they went on floor and they followed all the new protocols for the shoot. They shot in narrow lanes in real locations which was challenging amidst the pandemic.

Remo further talks about the song which they shot with 50 background dancers and is all praise for Tiger Shroff, “We shot with 50 dancers. I was overwhelmed when Jackky (Bhagnani) made me hear the song; my vision was to show our love for the country in the most honest way. Tiger can pull off anything, and makes everything look easy on screen,” Remo said to the daily.

Remo and Tiger Shroff have worked together in The Flying Jatt. The actor has always been a director’s actor and with his dance and songs he makes every director happy. Tiger Shroff has a bunch of releases and film shoots lined up but before that he’s all excited to release this song and flaunt his singing talents with the world.

To the people who are upset about the Wanna One final line up and are calling the top 11 talentless,

How? How can you say that? None of the top 11 are talentless. All of them deserve to be there. The issue was that there were only 11 spots and 20 amazing, talented boys who deserved those spots. In fact, all 101 of the trainees are talented. I could go on and on about how talented each and every member of that show is, but I’ll just talk to you about the top 20.

TR;DL: It wasn’t anyone’s fault but Mnet’s. DO NOT BLAME ANY OF THE FINAL WANNA ONE MEMBERS. IF you wanna be mad, BLAME MNET.

Rank 20 - Choi Minki - Nu’EST’s Ren - Ahh Ren, he was very good at everything. Maybe not the best in any regard but definitely an all rounder. Singing. Dancing. Variety. Visuals. All check. The issue with him gettng this rank however was that Mnet’s edits didn’t give him much screen time (this is the case with many of the following on this list).

Rank 19 - Joo Haknyeon - He is talented. Despite needing some help, this boy is talented. He just learns slower than the other trainees and was greedy for positions he wasn’t ready to take on. He got way too much uncalled for hate because of it. I want to see him make a comeback one day as a stronger, wiser person.

Rank 18 - Kim Samuel - I shouldn’t have to say this but Samuel choreographed a lot of the dances they did for P101- hell he choreographed the Super Hot stage (baby is only 15 TwT). He kicked ass as center in Showtime! He was also good in Get Ugly! But Mnet didn’t give him that many behind the scenes cuts so I think that might have hurt him. He truly deserved so much better and I am going to support his solo. Hopefully, one day, he’ll debut in a group.

Rank 17 - Yoo Seonho - He’s got cute maknae charms and improved so much throughout the show. He’s only been a trainee for 6 months and despite that he grew a lot in a matter of months. I’m so proud of you, Seonho. Thank you for comforting all the people who needed it at the finale. You are an absolute angel who deserved to debut as well.

Rank 16 - Anh Hyungseob - Hyungseob is a good dancer and despite not being the best singer he tries very hard. He’s also hilarious XD (fondly remembers the times he ran into a door) He’s also got variety skills. *cough* His rank is probably low cause the Yuehua boys are planning to debut soon *cough*

Rank 15 - Im Youngmin - Great dancer. Great rapper. I don’t need to say anything. Just watch any of his performances and you’ll see. He got fucked over by his fake scandals and because knetz eat people alive without knowing if the rumor is true or not.

Rank 14 - Kim Jonghyun - Nu’EST’s JR - Amazing leader, who is selfless and always a sweetheart. He could have asked for center. He could have been greedy and asked for more lines. He never once did. On top of that, he’s a great rapper and a great dancer. Plus he a cute shy Wartortle. I have no clue how someone who was hailed the Nation’s Leader didn’t make it into the Nation’s Boy Group.

Rank 13 - Kang Dongho - Nu’EST’s Baekho - He had vocals for days and visuals for days. His charisma was like fire and his personality is so <3 He was the cute babysitter for all the kids of P101 and I’m honestly so sad Guanlin lost his fav sexy uncle.

Rank 12 - Jung Sewoon - Okay, look I love Ponyo . I love him so damn much you don’t even know. I was depressed when I saw him not get in. I can’t put into words how much I wanted him to be in the top 11. I thought he wouldn’t be close to 11 because he was 19 last time, but damn I feel trolled about this. VOCALS. DANCING. CUTENESS. I want to see him again in the future so badly.

Rank 11- Ha Sungwoon - HOTSHOT’s Sungwoon - It’s probably not right for me to say I didn’t want him in the top 11 because he needs to return to HOTSHOT so they can finally have a comeback. But he was Rank A from the start. Even Boa was like how are such talented kids not popular.

Rank 10 - Bae Jinyoung - A lot of you seem to have an issue with BaeJin. But he’s got stage presences. He might not have shown it off at the start but he improved so much since then. Plus he has a great personality which you can see in any of the back stage cams since the actual show cuts his and Jihoon’s screen time.

Rank 9 - Hwang Minhyun - Nu’EST Minhyun- Don’t fucking sit here and tell me Jonghyun deserves to debut but then go off and say the top 11 aren’t talented when Minhyun is fucking in the top 11. Emperor Hwang has everything. Visuals, vocals, dance skills, and the relationship with the rest of the top 11. He made half this top 11 happen. So much talent you can’t even.

Rank 8 - Yoon Jisung- Auntie Jisung was gonna give up if he didn’t debut. He has stable af vocals while dancing. Plus he’s hilarious. Like really fucking funny. That’s been evident since he made himself a meme in episode 1. He took care of whatever team he led. I’m so so glad he got to debut.

Rank 7 - Lai Guanlin - I personally didn’t want him to debut because I think he’s too young and still has a lot of growing to do. He wasn’t the best rapper or dancer but he’s got stage presence not only that but he was also only a trainee for 6 months. He’s only been in Korea for 6 months. Plus he’s like 16 so chill.

Rank 6 - Park Woojin - I will flip tables if you tell me Park Woojin didn’t deserve top 11. He had shingles and still gave a bomb performance. He’s a great dancer and always draws attention when he’s on stage. He’s a great rapper too. He’s been Rank A from the start (BNM kids are so talented guys).

Rank 5 - Ong Seongwoo - Talented. So fucking talented. I can’t. He’s funny af, he’s an amazing dancer, he’s a god singer, he’s got a great personality, AND he’s got actor like visuals. Seriously, how can you call him untalented? Again he was rank A from the start.

Rank 4 - Kim Jaehwan - If you have hearing, you know Jaehwan is talented. He improved his dancing so much to be here. Plus he’s savage and hilarious. Kim Jaehwan was actually someone I was worried wouldn’t enter top 11 because he didn’t have a strong solo fanbase.

Rank 3 - Lee Daehwi - This child did not suffer to have you call him untalented. He’s an adorable baby who can do it all. He is only 16 and he writes songs for crying out loud! He can dance and sing and maybe rap (I think). He was also Rank A from the start! (All the BNM kids are talented af so never fucking say he’s talentless)

Rank 2 - Park Jihoon - Got here because he winked BUT that doesn’t mean he’s not talented. He’s a good dancer like a really good dancer, And he knows how to work a camera, clearly. He’s not the best singer but he tries. He’s an okay rapper but we never got to see much of that. Jihoon is adorable and cute and a whole lot of goot things but people kept bashing him for getting to the top because he winked. He’s still talented though (Rank B isn’t that bad cause Jaehwan was Rank B).

Rank 1 - Kang Daniel - I will not take anyone calling him untalented. Seriously there are too many people saying he didn’t deserve it. Have you watched ANY of his stages. He ALWAYS stole the show and he’s NEVER been center. Look, people forgot he was a rapper because he sang so much on this show. Like he gave all the rap parts to other rappers because he knew they couldn’t sing. He’s an angel who loves cats and people. He’s also awkwardly hilarious. He was bound to be in the top 11 from the moment he hugged small Woojin. Worked hard and moved from Rank B to Rank A. Watch any of his fancams and prepare to be shook.

Before moving to YNB Entertainment with Heejun in May 2014. His personality is very positive hence ‘Happiness Bug.’ Was in Bestie’s Excuse Me MV with Seungjun. Is often compared to a bunny when he smiles (he isn’t bucked toothed okay!). Unlike most Koreans, Inseong likes a tall cute girl with tan skin rather than the pale standards in Korea.

He choreographs many of KNK’s dances such as “Stay” and their title track for their upcoming comeback “Sun, Moon, Stars.” Has had blonde hair for two eras (Remain & Gravity).
