It’s called “shayari”, ghazals are poems set to music. Though technically both are poetry in itself~Thanks tho :3

It got popular since then (well, technically from his autobiography).It is also said his son, Shah Jahan, also inscribed this quote in his Diwan-i-khas right above the place where the famous Peacock Throne was said to have stood, though there’s no proof of it.]
