ugh just got the most banger idea. am i really going to draw prosecutor luke puppet imagery a second time
#I think the coolest thing is he isn’t a puppet in the case that he’s disposable or a tool for the family#no. he’s more like a beloved doll. something that will follow what it’s made to do because it can’t do anything else#he trust Layton wholeheartedly. with his life and even more than that#he trusts Layton so much that he doesn’t realise how much he’s being kept in the dark. he doesn’t realise he has a blindfold on#he doesn’t realise he’s in a cage at all until someone pulls back the blinds#he trusts Layton so fully that he’d follow without question. he just does what is expected of him and doesn’t realise he’s being controlled#and Luke is Layton’s anchor. he’s what’s keeping Layton from fully going off the deep end#even if Layton is puppeting Luke. it doesn’t mean he’s not loved. infact. it’s because Luke is loved that he’s being controlled like this#after all. Letting him free would be putting him in danger. Layton cannot let himself lose Luke. It would break him#so he keeps Luke tamed. An animal inside a cage. And even if he has to warp the truth a little or manipulate it’s fine#it’s for Luke’s safety. it’s for everyone’s safety until he can finish the Time Machine#sorry did this make sense
