Richard Gilmore is by no means a perfect man, but my God does he love the women in his life immensely. Lorelai, Emily and Rory are his world even if he doesn't communicate that in the best way every time. In season 2 when Lorelai is helping him set up the Gilmore Group? He's so excited by Lorelai and her willingness to help him set up. He's awed by how much she knows and you can see him realizing that he doesn't really give his daughter credit as much as he should. And he's gutted when he realizes Lorelai can't stay to continue to help him. Their relationship is bumpy for a monumental amount of reasons, not the least of which being that Richard Gilmore is a man of his time. But he realizes his mistakes and he fixes them when he can. He tries so hard to not repeat his blunders with Lorelei with Rory. He's a GOOD MAN.

Vanessa broke the news to Montell that she was pregnant with his child and also broke up with him because she was in love with Kenzo. Afterwards, she invited Kenzo to her restaurant to have that daunting and painful conversation.

Regretfully, she informed him of her unplanned pregnancy with the other guy she was seeing. As expected, it was quite a shock. The dismay brought him to his knees.

She apologised for abruptly ending their love story so soon and selflessly set him free to be with someone who truly deserved him and had less baggage.

To her surprise, Kenzo shut down the idea of moving on and painfully committed himself to help raise the baby as his own because of his strong feelings for her. He promised it won't be easy but he's willing to do it for her.

So i'm a regular at this one store and the man that works there asked if I wanted to see his baby as soon as i was about to leave and he was just so happy talking about his little bundle of joy and I just found it so endearing how much love he had for his family
