I thought that I’d make a post with random trivia details for my modern Silmarillion AU, Anywhere With You, which focuses on Russingon. Feel free to ask for more, and I’ll answer it as long as it doesn’t contain spoilers.

Warnings: some vague discussions of Maedhros’ relationship with Melkor, which was abusive, and some non-graphic discussion of various characters’ sex lives.

1) Fingon claims to be 5’10”, but he’s more like 5’8.5”. Maedhros is six and a half feet tall and can’t tell the difference.

2) Fingon, Turgon, Aredhel, and Argon are all major sporty kids. Fingon plays soccer, though now only as part of a club, and enjoys running and rock climbing. Turgon played football up until he got into the masters section of his accelerated bachelors/masters program in architecture. This allowed Fingon to finally become buffer than his brother. Fingon is not at all smug about this. Aredhel plays softball and volleyball and loves going rock climbing with Fingon. Argon plays high school basketball and has already made the varsity team, even though he’s only a sophomore. He’s already close to Turgon’s height, and he will be taller. All of the Fingolfinions can ride horses and shoot (guns and bows).

3) Quenya is basically this verse’s version of Irish. Fingon is the Americanized name for the semi-legendary St. Findekáno Astaldo, this world’s version of St. Patrick. Fingon’s birthday is March 17, 1999. Even though the lines of Míriel and Indis are completely desperate in this verse, Fëanor, Fingolfin, Finarfin, and Nerdanel are all basically Irish. Anairë is Ghanaian, and Ëarwen is Greek/Cyrpiot.

4) All of Fëanor’s sons have their Quenya names as their middle names, while Nerdanel gave them Sindarized first names. She deliberately combined “Maitimo” and “Russandol” for her first son’s name because he was the prettiest baby she’d ever, and she totally wasn’t biased.

5) Maedhros (b. May 1, 1995) was an extremely well behaved toddler who was very good at self-soothing. He loved being read to, memorized a few children’s books before he was able to read, and used to build elaborate block towers. He loved being a big brother from the start and only tried to return Maglor to the baby delivery place once, after Maglor lost his copy of Goodnight Moon (his favorite book) and destroyed his block formation, a replica of the semi-legendary city of Tirion. Maedhros immediately regretted this and climbed into Maglor’s crib to apologize to him. There is video of this. For a solid three years, Maedhros believed that baby Celegorm was his punishment for not appreciating Maglor enough. Maedhros had an awkward, gangly teenage phase that swimming helped him overcome. His high school team encouraged him and other swimmers to push their bodies to the limits of endurance (getting out of the pool to puke was not an uncommon occurrence during practice), which explains his running habits. His best stroke was the butterfly, which he can no longer do properly due to his rotator cuff injury. He’s had two surgeries to correct some of the damage done by Melkor and to keep it from dislocating easily.

6) Maglor (b. 1997) was very handsome from the time he was a teen and never had acne problems, but he was also a short, skinny band geek. This is why he didn’t believe that Malthenes, his tall, beautiful blonde classmate with a teen modeling contact, was into him. Maedhros had to convince him that Malthenes was serious and drive him to the date. Maglor was a child piano and violin prodigy, and Fëanor encouraged this until it became clear that Maglor wanted to be a professional musician instead of a lawyer. (Fëanor would have also allowed him to become a doctor, but Maglor was always a squeamish boy.) Fëanor blames Malthenes for this because he knows that he raised Maglor to be more reasonable and responsible. Maglor is shorter than his girlfriend/fiancée and thinks that that’s super hot. Malthenes is 5’9” and suspiciously slightly taller than Fingon.

7) Celegorm (b. 1999) was an extremely rowdy, energetic child who broke everything in sight, especially Maglor’s things. He used to smash Nerdanel’s work when he got his hands on it. At the age of two, he gave six-year-old brother Maedhros a permanent hairline scar when he smashed a clay pot over his head. Maedhros made the mistake of trying to take it away from him. The injury required eight stitches, and Celegorm was extremely proud and kept bragging to the hospital staff. (No babysitters were available, so Fëanor and Nerdanel had to drag all four of their kids to the ER.) Celegorm grew up into a rowdy teen who only avoided expulsion by ensuring his high school football team’s continued success. (Maedhros still had to attend some meetings on his parents’ behalf while he was in college and Celegorm was a high school junior/senior.) Celegorm switched to rugby in college because it had more booze and more queerness. He is proudly bisexual and aromantic. He also got his wolfhound Huan from his grizzled elderly mentor (aka Oromë) at the local shooting range in Formenos, Maine. Fëanor is shocked/pleased that Celegorm got a real job, but he’s embarrassed that his son lives in “government housing,” i.e. a park ranger’s house in the national forest outside Alqualondë where he works.

8) Caranthir (b. 2001) is a mathematical prodigy who graduated high school two years early, the same year as Celegorm. He also completed college in two and a half years. He recently got his CPA. He enjoys investing, and frequently tries to influence Maedhros’ investment decisions regarding his own trust fund from their grandfather Finwë. Caranthir is also Angrod’s ex boyfriend. According to Angrod, Caranthir has the best ass that he’s ever seen (“you could serve coffee off of that thing”), and that’s totally the only reason that he’s upset that Caranthir abruptly dumped him over text messages, Finrod. Caranthir is currently dating Haleth. He fell in love with her at first sight at the gym and decided that he had to break up with Angrod immediately and pursue this gorgeous female body builder, who (to Angrod’s despair) has better biceps than anyone Caranthir has ever dated. Caranthir is absolutely devoted to his girlfriend and she to him. He is also her 24/7 sub, which is why he proudly wears the leather collar that she gave him along with his fancy suits. Caranthir is the only son whom Fëanor will not randomly visit because the last time that he dropped by unannounced, Caranthir answered the door wearing the collar and nothing else. He’s very anxious and finicky and carries around a fidget cube. He also helped Curufin uncover Melkor’s tax crimes and blackmail him into leaving the country so that Maedhros would it have to testify against an ex at an abuse/sa trial.

9) Curufin (b. 2004) is also a genius and started taking community college courses early. He is currently looking into the most prestigious college programs available. Fëanor was so impressed with his son’s affinity for computers and coding that he pulled him out of school to homeschool him personally, based on a special curriculum that he designed. He has never dated because he’s too busy, but he’ll probably got out with his father’s business partner’s daughter at some point because Fëanor thinks that they’d be a good match and Fëanor knows him best. He is a very skilled hacker and got into Melkor’s device to steal back all digital copies of sensitive media that Melkor was using to blackmail Maedhros into staying.

10) Amras and Amrod (February 2009) are twins. Amrod is shy and Amras is outgoing, but they support each other in everything. They are particularly devoted to Maedhros, who served as a sort of third parent to them while Fëanor and Nerdanel went through a divorce when they were toddlers. Amrod was scared of storms and loud noises and used to sleep in Maedhros’ bed for “safety” as a child. Amras and Amrod have a twin language, and Maedhros is the only one who knows some of it. Both twins are major fish, amphibian, and reptile enthusiasts, and Fëanor has allowed them to have their own massive aquarium as well as a reptile room. They’ve been promised an iguana as their Winter Solstice present from their father.

11) Fëanor is a brilliant, charismatic local real estate developer and builder from Formenos, Maine who followed in his wealthy father Finwë’s footsteps and became mayor of the small city. He is the only child of Finwë and Míriel, both of whom are still alive and married in this universe. He is so beloved that the citizens voted to abolish term limits so that he could keep running for mayor. Fëanor also owns a local lake resort, as well as a ski resort in the northernmost parts of the Pélori Mountains (my version of the Appalachian Mountains). He also makes jewelry as a side hobby. He and Melkor, a estate developer and a successful political from the neighboring town of Avathar, got into an intense rivalry when Melkor attempted to bankrupt him and buy out his businesses and lands.

12) Nerdanel is a world-renowned sculptress and the only child of the independently wealthy Mahtan. She and Fëanor bonded over their shared ambition and passion for crafts. They married straight out of college and had Maedhros a year later. Nerdanel loves her sons dearly but grew tired of putting up with her husband’s neuroses. She divorced him and moved to Tirion, New York (named after the semi-legendary ancient city) when the citizens of Formenos almost universally sided with their beloved mayor.

13) Fingolfin is the older son of Indis and Ingwion, who are not cousins in this verse. He inherited his parents’ love of fine wines and the Northern California countryside. He and his wife Anairë bonded over their shared love of art and wine and managed to secure investors to buy and start a vineyard in Valmar. They’re currently very wealthy and successful, and they have enough money to give all of their children generous allowances. They’re extremely indulgent and supportive parents who are so happy to have such happy, good-looking, athletic, and academically successful children. They didn’t openly push traditional gender roles on their kids, but they always rewarded and praised their sons for being tough, resilient, and generally traditionally masculine. Also, they never made their kids so much in the way of chores.

14) Fingon was the happiest, friendliest baby ever, and well-meaning but clueless adults often made jokes about him flirting and being budding ladies’ man. He was also an extremely friendly, easygoing; and popular kid from elementary school until basically the start of the fic. He was really smart and never had to work too hard for good grades and academic success. He did well in college and generally got away with partying and procrastinating because he works well under the pressure of impending deadlines. He is also a bit of a fuckboy.

15) Finrod is bisexual, though he’s more likely to be attracted to men than women, and homoromantic. He’s in a very happy QPR with Amarië, who is in the same boat. He’s a very happy writer and budding journalist, who also makes good ad revenue off of his anonymous online blog, where he discuses and opines upon the relationship dramas of his friends and family. His most popular series deals with Andreth and Aegnor, though his cousin Fingon’s stories are forming the basis of a series that’s garnering loads of interest already.

16) Angrod is totally over Caranthir, Finrod!

17) Aegnor is in a high drama, constantly on-again/off-again relationship with Andreth. He’s scared of going out of the honeymoon stage and stupidly keeps breaking up with Andreth, even though he loves her. Andreth keeps taking him back because she loves him and he’s gorgeous and goes down like a champ.

tw: parental death, depression, drug and alcohol abuse

from the moment they were born, tyler and his siblings had their entire lives lined out for them. their father came from a family with very old money that now owned a number of lavish, upscale hotels and expected only the best from their lineage. their mother was a classically trained pianist who had toured the world as a teenage prodigy and had all the best intentions as a mother. still, to tyler, every step of the way felt like ticking off a checklist with ‘pompous ass’ listed as the end goal. top boarding schools were supposed to lead to cambridge or oxford and then prolific careers as surgeons, lawyers, members of parliament, or business moguls. tyler’s siblings all seemed to fit the bill with ease and for a while, so did tyler, until he was old enough to show any kind of personality.

(tw: parental death) growing up, ty was a goofy, naïve kid who spent all day playing music with their mother and singing at the piano with her. sitting on that piano bench was tyler’s only real escape from the elitist world they didn’t really fit into. none of their siblings had taken a real interest in of their mother’s passions, but tyler was at her side every moment they were able. rather than one of the pre-selected career paths his father insisted on, tyler grew up wanting to follow in his mother’s footsteps and be a musician. his father taught him very early on that music was not an option. it was when he shipped off for boarding school that things really escalated. by the time he was sixteen, he had been through five boarding schools. and just when they thought things couldn’t possibly get worse, the unthinkable happened and their mother died suddenly from a brain aneurism.

(tw: depression) the day they lost ty’s mother, his life fell to pieces. he fell into a deep depression and quit everything that reminded him of his mother, especially music. the only thing that fell through the cracks was football (soccer to some), which their father had always loved, so they had always hated. tyler had always been athletic but reluctant when it came to sports, but when their father put them into football this time around, they ran with a newfound rage and abandon. when his father remarried a woman half his age less than a year after becoming a widower, that increased tenfold. he threw everything into playing and training, and stopped trying to process his mother’s passing. they were noticed by a club recruiter only a couple of years later and played on a second tier team with talks of being recruited to the premier league until a few months ago, when they absolutely lost control.

(tw: drug and alcohol abuse) nothing in tyler’s life worked. their relationships with their brothers and father were positively abysmal. he’d always bonded with his only sister for being the odd ducks out, even if she’d always fit in better than him, but even she wasn’t speaking to him if she didn’t have to. they were in the closet about their sexuality and gender identity to everyone but their sister, and it was starting to eat them alive. it had been several years since the death of his mother, but tyler had succeeded in filling every moment of those years with either football or drugs & alcohol to avoid processing it (or anything else). now, the pressure was high and they felt the whole world of football watching them. eventually, they cracked. he quit his football team in a horrible screaming match with the team manager that went viral online and in a single moment, it looked like his career was over before it began.

rather than face the problems that had caused their breakdown, ty holed themself up in their family home for months, only leaving when his father threatened to cut him off if he didn’t go out and do something. in this state, his sister didn’t think they would make it on their own. it was during this time that his sister pushed them into a therapist’s office once a week and personally oversaw their recovery. not long after, his sister showed him an advert for the ss university and went behind their father’s back to pay for it. mere weeks later, tyler golightly had their life packed into suitcases and the ss university was setting sail. he left his sister with the promise that he would watch how he partied and that more than anything, he would use the experience to start over with a clean slate. now all that’s left is to do it.

– rich kids club: tyler was once told by their father that their family had more money than god and they’ve never forgotten that. if your char was also born with a silver spoon, they may know each other already or just bond over their shared experiences! tyler hates their father and that side of their family, so they’re not always the biggest fan of other wealthy people.

– clandestine music friends: tyler’s mother was an esteemed classical pianist and taught ty to play the piano very early on. for a long time, tyler thought they would follow in her footsteps and become a pianist as well. when she passed away, he gave up music ‘for good’. however, ever since they’ve been on the ship, they’ve been secretly picking up playing the piano again! someone is bound to have walked in on them and is now keeping their secret.

– missed connection: ty thinks he falls in love every other minute, but if he doesn’t go for it, he usually just forgets them and moves on to the next gorgeous smile or melodic laughter. this person has been on their mind since the day they laid eyes on each other but didn’t actually get to meet. whether it was in the hall, while they were drunk at the sand bar, or even out in one of their excursions, something about them has ty going crazy.

– exes: ty may think they fall in love more often than a character in a rom-com, but the truth of the matter is that they never really commit to a relationship long enough to get past infatuation. there may be one person they’ve been seriously in love with, but the rest were flings for a season, friends with benefits, or one night stands; short-term. not much has changed now that they’re on the ship, but with the entire cruise/schoolyear ahead of them, who’s to say it won’t?

– party friends! one night stands! people they met while travelling for football matches! folks from boarding school! family friends! any other connections you’re feeling!

More headcanons

From the Church AU, list of the 2nd generation kids in order of birth. Culturally, most children in the Church take their mother’s last name except in unusual circumstances. For the sake of keeping things straight, I am using Kurt’s age when they were born to determine their age. He’s the oldest person (besides Logan) to appear onscreen in the fic so he’s a good benchmark for how old everyone is.

1. Talia Josephine Szardos (Sister Nocturne)

Parents: Kurt Szardos (born when Kurt was 16) x Wanda Lensherr. Talia has Kurt’s last name because Wanda left the Church to marry Vision when Talia was 5, but Kurt kept full custody of Talia.

Powers: Has a carbon copy of her father’s vampire powers.

Appearance: Straight black hair, blue skin, yellow featureless eyes, fangs, pointed ears, no fur, no tail. Has Kurt’s hands and feet. Her features mostly come from Wanda though, and so does her height; she can look her father in the eye easily.

Talia is very much a Daddy’s Girl and idolizes her father. She’s the most obedient of all his children, but also very outgoing and social. She’s not very ambitious though and has no interest in rising beyond her current position in the hierarchy. Talia adores Kitty, but she’s more a friend than a step-mother and they’re all fine with that dynamic. Talia has no children, having been rendered sterile from a miscarriage during her first pregnancy.

2. Blue Kurt Keller (Prelate der Zweite)

Parents: Kurt Szardos (born when Kurt was 22) x Mara Keller

Powers: Touch psychometry

Appearance: Probably looks the most like Kurt out of all his children, except he has brown hair instead of black and needs to use glasses.

Blue was conceived during a three month period when Kurt was investigating some embezzlement at the Winzeldorf Convent. His mother Mara was obsessed with the Inquisitor and hoped that by conceiving his child she could convince him to stay in an ‘arrangement’ with her. Kurt thought of it as a fling, and while happy to provide Mara with a stipend, he didn’t even ask to see the child. Due to her obsession, Mara has done her best to turn Blue into a carbon copy of his father, giving him his name, dressing him up in similar clothing, even forcing him to join the Inquisitor branch of the Church. Unsurprisingly, this has left Blue cold, bitter and resentful of his entire family. (Had Blue his choice, he probably would have become a musician.) Since reaching the age of consent, Blue has cut off all contact with his mother but remains in the Church since frankly, he has no idea of what else he would do. He remains an inquisitor and actually rises to the rank of prelate at an abbey (not Winzeldorf). He’s met one of his half-sisters, but the meeting ended in a screaming argument and has made no further efforts to contact anyone from his father’s side of the family. He has no children by choice (pretty much scaring anyone off during the Choosenings through hostility).

3. Dwayne Martin Luther King (no alias)

Parents: Kurt Szardos (born when Kurt was 25) x Linda King

Powers: None

Appearance: And now the kid who looks least like Kurt. Dwayne strongly resembles both his paternal uncle and his paternal grandfather, being tall (almost 2 meters), with a long face and dark, almost teak-colored skin. He cuts his hair into a short afro. The only feature he inherited from Kurt, and his only mutation are his eyes, which are human-shaped, but bright gold in color with black scelera. Since he lives in Ultramar, he usually covers this up with sunglasses.

Dwayne was conceived during a one-night stand during the same trip where Kurt recruited Katie into the Church. Linda is a prominent civil rights lawyer, and she and Kurt were celebrating the repeal of a law that barred mutants (or the Blessed) from voting in Ultramarine elections. Like Mara, Linda also received a stipend during Dwayne’s childhood from the Church, unlike Mara she was fine raising Dwayne as a single parent with the help of her extended family. Upon growing up Dwayne decided to follow in her footsteps but prefers a less legal method, working with an organization that smuggles mutants and sometimes their families out of Ultramar to countries more friendly to them (either west past the Mississippi River to the Corridor or overseas to the Church). Friendly and highly charismatic, he also participates in ‘Robin Hood’ operations designed to get funding for this version of the ‘Underground Railroad’. He knows who his father is, and while he admires him, he has no desire to follow in his footsteps or contact him. He hasn’t met any of his half-siblings, but if he did, he’d probably get along best with Talia.

4. Evan Sabah Nur (Brother Messiah)

Parents: Technically none, he’s a clone of the Church’s founder, En Sabah Nur. He was created when Kurt was 28.

Powers: Many and gaining more all the time.

Appearance: Blue-grey skin, dark eyes, bald but coves it with a black wig.

Evan is essentially a ‘proof of concept’ clone, part of a project backed by Priest Szardos. After proving their Messiah could be cloned (and no one got struck by lightning for blasphemy), Evan was raised by Betsy Braddock and Jean-Philippe outside the Church, in the hopes of giving him a normal childhood and keeping him hidden from organizations hostile to the Church. Betsy and Jean had intended to tell Evan the truth of his background when he turned 18, and have him join the Church for a career then, but when Evan was 16, the Friends of Humanity (an Ultramarine political party) discovered his existence and did a bombing run of the farm where they lived in Gallicia. Betsy and Jean died, and Szardos essentially picked him up and hauled him to St. Xavier’s for his own protection. Needless to say, when last seen, Evan was not handling the change in circumstances very well, but currently has no other place to go (not that the Church would let him leave). Szardos wants to formally adopt him, but Evan wants no relationship with the man he feels has destroyed his life. (Intellectually, Evan knows it’s more the fault of the Friends of Humanity, but Kurt’s manipulative tendencies mean Evan already has to fight for what freedom he has. Adoption would just put him more under Kurt’s control.)

5. Mikhail Cameron Pryde (Father Freedom Fighter)

Parents: Piotr Rasputin x Katie Pryde. Kurt’s adopted son, born when Kurt was 30.

Powers: Melding with solid objects. With practice, he can bring other people with him.

Appearance: Completely human in appearance, with pales skin, freckles, straight dark hair, and blue eyes. He was very short and looked a lot like Katie when he was young, but a late growth spurt shot him to about 190 cm tall when he was 17.

Mikhail grew up thinking he was Katie and Kurt’s first child and was very surprised at age 12 when he learned that ‘Uncle’ Piotr was actually his biological father. Kurt had initially trained him to follow in his footsteps in the Inquisition, but a gruesome rescue mission traumatized Mikhail into not wanting anything to do to with that branch of the Church. Instead, he followed his mother’s path into IT, and eventually became the head of that department at the Sanctuary of St. Xavier’s. Mikhail had five children by the time he was 25 (only two of whom he’s met), then opted out participating in Choosenings ever again. Kurt thinks this is due to being gay, like his biological father, because Mikhail is currently in a relationship with male Acolyte. In fact, Mikhail is asexual and decided that having his ‘5 for Forever’ was the best way to never have to have sex ever again. Of his family, only his mother knows that he’s asexual.

6. Bluebell Christine Pryde (Matriarch Lorelei)

Parents: Kurt Szardos x Katie Pryde. Born when Kurt was 32.

Powers: Very, very weak receptive empathy

Appearance: Essentially the reason Mikhail didn’t know he wasn’t related to Kurt. She resembles him greatly, with curly black hair, blue eyes, pale skin and also looks completely human. She looks mostly like her mother but inherited Kurt’s cheekbones. Unlike Mikhail she never had a last-minute growth spurt and remains at 167 cm.

Bluebell has the weakest Blessing of all of Kurt’s children (except for Dwayne), and initially thought she was the ‘failure’ of the family. When it became clear that she was never going to develop another Blessing or strengthen her current one any further, Kurt took a sabbatical for a year to help her work through this issue. During that time, it was discovered she was essentially a musical prodigy, with a genius ability for singing. Using this talent, she’s rapidly risen through the ranks, becoming the Pope’s favorite vocalist and a celebrity even outside the veil. She has fraternal twin children (a boy and a girl) who she takes with her on tour.

Bluebell is the older twin by about 50 minutes.

7. Edelweiss Terry Pryde (Prelate TRON)

Parents: Kurt Szardos x Katie Pryde. Born when Kurt was 32.

Powers: Technopath

Appearance: Like her twin sister, she mostly has Kitty’s features, but with Kurt’s tail, hands, feet, blue skin, and fur. She’s the only child to inherit Katie’s brown hair and eyes. She’s also a little taller at 175 cm which she lords over her older sister as much as possible.

Initially, when they were born, Kurt wanted the older twin to be named Edelweiss and the younger one to be named Bluebell. The twins both agree that they were very lucky that Katie talked him out of it. Edelweiss is the one child who has inherited Kurt’s ambition, although she’s also proud enough to try to make her own way through the world with as little help from her father as possible. In order to facilitate this independence, she actually transferred out of Albion to become the Prelate of an abbey in Bavaria. While she lacks a genius intellect, powerful Blessing or unique talent like some of her other siblings, Edel is a very capable administrator and it is pretty much a given that’s she’ll eventually become a Matriarch, even if not as quickly as she might like. Edel is also known for having a contrary, aggressive personality. She has a long-running (friendly) argument with Mikhail over the pros and cons of free will and is the sister who had the screaming (extremely hostile) fight with Blue. No children currently, but not due to lack of trying.

Edelweiss is the younger twin by 50 minutes.

8. Damien Carmen Pryde (Commander Black Sheep)

Parents: Kurt Szardos x Katie Pryde. Born when Kurt was 36.

Powers: Pyrogenesis and pyrokinesis.

Appearance: Has Kurt’s blue skin and yellow eyes, but no fur. Also has his hands and feet, but no tail either. Features are closer to Kurt’s but somewhat softer and rounder. The same height as Kurt but noticeably more muscular.

Growing up, Damien was the child most likely to argue and fight with his father, which contributed to the fact he decided to join the military branch of the Church and moved all the way across the Mediterranean to join the Crusade against the Sub-Saharan African Confederacy. It was essentially as far as he could get from Kurt while still being in contact with the rest of the family. (Yes, he did get to pick his own code name.) And eventually, even that wasn’t enough. Damien had one daughter who died when she was six from childhood leukemia after that Damien faked his death and defected to the SSAC. Unsurprisingly, he has not been in contact with any member of his family since that point.

9. Theodore Joseph Pryde (Acolyte Firebird)

Parents: Kurt Szardos x Katie Pryde. Born when Kurt was 41.

Powers: Seer, with fire as a medium.

Appearance: Fairly short, about 150 cm. Has Kurt’s eyes and blue skin, but otherwise is mostly human (no pointed ears, tail or fangs). Still growing, but facial features resemble Kitty, albeit slightly elongated.

Theodore Joseph gets his name from Talia, who joked that she wanted at least one sibling named after herself. As this was soon after her miscarriage that rendered her sterile (and this was going to be her last child) Katie obliged, although she couldn’t think of what the male form of Talia would be, so she chose Theodore instead. Like most of his siblings and his mother, Tedd was groomed to follow his father in the Inquisition, unlike them he hasn’t been traumatized by watching Kurt torture or kill anyone, so it looks like he’s finally managed to find a successor. Tedd’s pretty on board with this plan, he likes the investigative part of it and while like the others he finds the bloodier bits unpleasant, he considers them a tolerable minor drawback, after all, it’s not like Kurt spends most of his time torturing people. His current goal is to figure out a way to use his Blessing to fly since he can’t teleport people the way his mother can with hers.

10. Dominique Nell Thurman (no alias)

Parents: Piotr Rasputin x Neena Thurman. Born when Kurt was 44.

Powers: Metal-shift skin

Appearance: Tiny. Black hair, brown eyes, pale skin, remarkably chubby for her age, but considered very cute.

Dominique was conceived as a favor to Kurt by Prelate Singularity, essentially so Piotr would have his ‘2 for Time-Off’ and Katie wouldn’t have to keep monitoring him to make sure he was fulfilling his duty to ‘multiply’. Once again, Kurt offered to adopt the girl once she was born, but Prelate Singularity prefers to keep her with her in Ultramar.

Who’s bad? Michael Jackson’s estate owes Quincy Jones $ 9.4 m in royalties, jury ends

Music producer winnings four-year fight for fees related to music from albums Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad

A jury on Wednesday found that Michael Jacksons estate owes Quincy Jones $9.4 m in royalties and production fees from Billie Jean, Thriller and more of the wizards biggest hits.

The award from a Los Angeles superior court jury fell short of the $30 m the producer sought in the lawsuit registered nearly four years ago, but well above the nearly $392,000 the Jackson estate contended Jones was owed.

The jury of 10 women and two men had been deliberating since Monday.

This lawsuit was never about Michael, it was about protecting the unity of the study we all did in the recording studio and the legacy of what we created, Jones wrote in a statement released. Although this[ judging] is not the full amount that I was endeavour, I am very grateful that the jury decided in our favour in this matter. I view it is not simply as a win for myself personally, but for artists privileges overall.

Estate attorney Howard Weitzman said he and his team were surprised by the judgment. I understand everybodys going to say it could have been much worse they were asking for huge amounts, Weitzman said. Were still disappointed.

He said the estate proposed an appeal.

Jones claimed in the lawsuit that Jacksons estate and Sony Music Entertainment owed him for music he had produced in Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad as well as the This Is It soundtrack and two Cirque du Soleil shows.

The lawsuit said the entities had improperly re-edited the ballads to rob Jones of royalties and creation costs, and that he had a contractual privilege to take first crack at any re-edit or remix.

The Jackson camp is of the view that Jones should be paid only licensing costs for songs used in those three makes. Jones claimed he was entitled to a share of the overall acknowledgments from them.

The trial centered on the definitions of periods in the two contracts Jackson and Jones signed in 1978 and 1985.

Under the spates, for example, Jones is entitled to a share of net receipts from a videoshow of the ballads. The Jackson lawyers disagreed the period was meant to apply to music videos and not feature films.

Jury foreman Duy Nguyen, 28, said the contracts were the strongest portions of proof the jury believed, and said hearing Joness testimony was also helpful.

He said he and many members of the jury were Jackson fans, but that didnt factor into the deliberations. He said the decision sum was a accommodation illustration based on an experts testimony.

Jones took the put during the experiment, and was asked by Jackson estate attorney Howard Weitzman whether he realized he was essentially suing Jackson himself.

Jones angrily contradicted. Im not suing Michael, he said. Im suing you all.

Jones held he was seeking his due for the work he had done rather than simply trying coin. His attorney Scott Cole accused the defense of using term activities and loopholes to disavow Jones, the Hollywood Reporter said.

The producer worked with Jackson on the three-album lope widely considered the musicians prime: Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad.
