Just some thoughts on why it's extremely entertaining to watch Bucchigiri?! at least for me and at least now (with 3 ep out)

Obviously the designs, backgrounds, animation, voice acting and music is really good. It's fun enough to watch even without trying to piece together all the details of possible plot development or characterization. The world is bizarre and you never know what will happen, but it's also silly in a way what can remind of silly stuff irl(yes, playing baseball with a basketball, that brings some memories).

Even though the plot isn't clear at all now, i'm still curious about what might happen in the future episodes, cause there's more to each character than i thought at first and in each episode lots of stuff happens. It's both good and bad, but for me it's incredibly interesting, cause it's hard to predict what will actually happen.

And insane details what make no sense at first but then you wake up at 3am realizing "oh, that's what it meant", probably. It just works for some people, but will not work for others, obviously. And i'm in a group who's puzzle-solving and eccentric-fashion-loving parts of the brain just got activated by this show. Kinda spoilers and wild theories, thoughts, observations and bad attempts at analyzing ahead

Right now i think we've been introduced to most main characters, and show may probably continue with awful interactions between them. Awful cause, well, each of these characters wants something different from others, sometimes something completely opposite (like with Senya and Arajin, one wants to fight but has no interest in other stuff, like romance, and the other doesn't want to get anywhere near fights and just wants some romance in his life; similar with Jin siblings, Zabu and Matakara and Arajin and Mahoro in that order, and different gangs). And when there are these dialogue lines and scenes, what kinda feel like they're supposed to make more sense later (like with how Zabu tells where's no "fair" and "unfair" in fights; how Arajin actively avoids talking with Matakara, but is still clearly worried about him, and how quickly his usual commically-happy-and-invincible attitude changes when anyone is hurt; and various comments about gangs' lore in background dialogue; and the fact what there should be a second genie somewhere). It's fascinating if you love digging into every plot detail like there's some big conspiracy behind it. This research activity can be fun on its own, and it's increasingly hard to stumble upon anything what really makes you wonder what is even going on. That is not for everyone, and that's ok. But i won't be able to shut up when i have so many theories about what could happen, or why characters act like they do, because it's fun. First episode is a series of wild events what occurred because characters either ignored something or tried to make something worse for someone because of a personal want. And it just spirals from there. It may be not about how good and right can these characters be, but the opposite, how bad can it get and how can they change it. Everyone is a bit dumb and a bit mean and a bit stubborn, and it's interesting, cause everyone also has something or someone they care about. It's like billiards but with abstract concepts of characters' motivation instead of balls. It will be sad if we just return to typical plot development, though it's not clear what genre are we even watching at the moment. But this will be later, and now i'm having fun with this show, and that's already good.

I think he's kind of the more toxic view of shounen protagonist syndrome he is actually very level-headed about the cost of his extreme views...and because he is very emotional he doesn't see the kinds of costs others not sharing his views can create. like the fact the tailed beasts caused a massive war; it seemed so natural to him as someone in possession of massive power who distributed greater power equally that this wouldn't happen because the others would gang up on the outlier, yet the political trappings just led to a large-scale conflict all with different motivations because that's just war for you. (and madara made it worse LOL) i think his massive failures and what konoha became due to its existence as a military state was the closest naruto came to a theme. the fact he is earnest and good yet his beliefs would create a military state that operates the way any military state does. the village he envisioned did not have chuunin licenses at 6 years old and a T&I division but its indisputable his actions created this environment

I think naruto """lore fans""" are so obsessed with forcing kishimoto's decisions of convenience into a cohesive whole and i think uchiha fans are fucking INSANE there's a lot to push up against. i don't think he was a bad person. i don't think he was that ruthless. i think his passion was clear and evident from a young age and tobirama and madara were both aware that he would be capable of choosing his peace over ANYTHING and had different reactions to it. madara found it detestable and pointless when peace isn't achievable anyway and tobirama found it something to account for as a potential threat even though he doesn't disagree with hashirama's vision and believes hashirama will let anything slide tbh.

and the thing is madara attacked the village MULTIPLE times...it's clear that hashirama didn't LIKE choosing his peace over his loved ones and avoided ever having to make that choice it's that exact reason he never forced the uchiha and they uchiha came to HIM, because he was unwilling to impose such a hard boundary, because he is innately a kind person. leave him alone. the fact he created hell on earth isn't his fault

welp here she is, Lea Boudreaux, vampire queen.

-so the more obvious route I think wouldve been to make the founder a sorta mall goth typa gal who’s obsessed with the dark and gloomy aspects of the occult. Lea is into that stuff to an extent but her ACTUAL interest is the lore. The history of it all is endlessly fascinating and its a world she desperately wanted to make a home for herself in. So She Did.

-now to get into the fun romance shenanigans cuz whats a vampire story without romance drama? lol. At first I was kinda going in with the assumption that Lea wouldn’t really be the type thats super invested in finding a romantic partner ya know? If it happens it happens. And then it happened a lot.

-I did give Caleb a makeover... but really i only changed his hair. 

-Lea and Caleb really hit it off as friends too, and I was kinda expecting him to turn her down when she asked to be turned cuz their friendship level wasnt THAT high yet. but he said yes! And after she turned, he started flirting with her more frequently too. But idk I wasn’t really vibing their romance much, and then she met Joaquin while at a party and they were just great. 

-Here’s the story though, so Lea and Caleb went to this party, they aren’t officially dating yet but they have been flirting a lot and since he turned her Caleb thinks theyre wayyy more serious than Lea does. So he catches her checking out other guys at the party and obvi this upsets him. The two talk it out and wind up deciding to be official. Of course the next day Joaquin still has Lea on his mind and calls her to ask her on a date. In the spur of the moment she says yes, but immediately goes back on it saying she can’t cuz shes in a relationship. Which obvi crushes him quite a bit.

-Lea and Caleb go out for a while but he apparently isn’t interested in having kids. Not to mention he doesn’t seem to appreciate her friendship with Meshram all that much. To be fair tho Meshram is a Smug Bastard. After they break up Lea takes a break from romance in order to just focus on the family she wants to make, she doesnt need a man for that. Meshram has platonically supported her through a lot of her fledgling vampire days and agrees easily to help her have her first kid(which happens to be twins!)

-In the meanwhile we have the offspring, in order of who got turned first to last. Blake, love her, she’s a lil scam artist and has a tendency to take advantage of Lea’s willingness to help. But theyre also really good friends and Lea finds her shenanigans pretty amusing. Hana is actually one of Lea’s coworkers! She’s a real hotheaded sim with some anger management issues, but a good person. Jules met Lea via Blake, he was visiting Blake’s apartment when he decided to try and grill something and then Caught On Fire. I’ve decided he’s a bit of a himbo cuz Ive saved him from burning to death TWICE now!!!! Diego is the most distant of the gang, he’s really only close with Lea. Not overly interested in the goofier personalities of Blake and Jules and often getting into arguments with Hana. Last and Certainly not least, Lily! She was the latest addition to the group, one of Lea’s long time friends and I like to imagine was besties with her even before the start of the challenge.

- When the twins reached toddlerhood, Lea reached out to Joaquin to start over as just friends. It was pretty wholesome. They bonded over music a lot and slowly sort of fell in love again, and he was great with the twins so it just worked out! They then had two more kids together, first Lydia, and then Greyson.

Malcer Icecrow - previous leader of the icecrow gang in bellmare. After an accident involving a spike trap and maldwyn (8 years old) he's become a deeply angry and increasingly evil ghost. He takes out his anger by torturing maldwyn, making them do things they don't like or possessing them to do horrible things to them. He used to be kind of good but ever since he died he has lost his shit.

Maldwyn Icecrow - the previous heir to the icecrow gang in bellmare before it was overthrown by frosina, ruthlessly violent at times but is learning to be better with the merry men.

Frosina Shemov - A more recent Worker of the icecrow gang who dated maldwyn and found them to be a bit too obsessive, abusive and possessive

Arizima Blackcrown - rich girl who lived in a mansion in bellmare, who was killed by maldwyn.

Lyndi Stormhawk - Maldwyn's mom who was killed by malcer Icecrow via burning to death.

Alorus Stormhawk - Maldwyn's father who was killed by Malcer via getting stabbed with a sword.

Monsterwyn - alternate universe version of Maldwyn where they are cursed to be immortal but have to eat people/corpses. Their clothes are torn up and theg have a torn up cape now, alongside their purple claws. They're just has vicious if noy more so than maldwyn, often making growling, snarling, whining and whimpering vocalizations.

Deep sea merperson monsterwyn - A mermaid person of Monsterwyn, who lives too far under the sea to see much of humans and is awfully curious about all of the things they have.

Modernwyn - a modern version of maldwyn where they run a youtube channel about discourse and legitimately cry on camera whenever they get called out.

Reignwyn - modern version of maldwyn who got caught in the Reign corp experiment and got bonded with crows and ice.

Godwyn - newer time god who gained the role in the empty town timeline. They were pretty normal until their job started to drag on their mental mindset and turned them emotionless.

Nezira (Impostorwyn) - not a maldwyn but she bodysnatched one and intends to live her life in their body.

Dragonwyn - leftover maldwyn from the bodysnatching, turned into a white dragon with black feathered wings.

Supervillainwyn - a supervillain version of maldwyn who has ice powers but is being modified by Malcer icecrow to be a huge monster.

Mutewyn - a maldwyn who had their voicebox just shredded out of them by malcer, so they can't really talk

Tuggie - a clone of maldwyn who was made by Mervara. He's just a silly lil crow guy.

Mervara Amastacia - a tiefling sorcerer who specializes in magic involving memories.

Arciar Clethtinthiallor - dragonborn fighter/barbarian can't say too much cuz I'm not supposed to say too much about him publicly rn

Cherryheart - warriors oc, she's a kind and happy cat

Warble - a little bubble dragon who can extend his neck or pull it into himself like a seal.

Rose - ran the Rose River Resort before the ARG incident caused its downfall. Now just sorta lives a normal life

???? - victim of the Rose River Resort and rose's ex, she's decided to move to a smaller town after the ARG incident freed her from the resort.

Wires - A mysterious masked person who lives in the town ???? Moved into. They mostly hang around and hunt monsters that terrorize the town. They very noticeably don't seem to have any friends. No one's ever seen their face.

Dr. Saffron - A biologist who lives in the town ???? Moved into and she mainly stays in a lab just outside of town. Wires is the only one that is usually seen around her if she's hanging out with someone.
