Good idea for writing

over the years in my writing times, I realized something that i have been doing for years. i just was looking at my old laptop’s folders of old poems and stories that i created, (notice that they were not very good,) and I found out something to not forget during my new poems and such as i write. here it is.

while using dialogue, don’t say ‘said’ over 3 times. most people know about this but the rest of this talk involves that.

If you are going to use ‘answered’ or ‘replied’ or ‘stuttered’ , those are good too. But if you are going to use very discriptive words to replace said, dont constantly do that. I’ll show you why.

“This is not very good sounding dialogue.” She muttered.

“I agree. We are not talking about the structure of the sentences” he replied.

“Yeah! we are just saying boring things with a cool way of saying ‘said’! “ the guy in the back shouted

That example was worse than said. try to even out your sentences, like this.

“I think that this is much better.” She repeated afterwards. After all, before had been a confusion to her.

“And now that there are breaks in between our words, we sound much more realistic!” He replied after her.

“Yeah! We sound normal, unlike last time.” the guy in the back spoke over them. “And our dialogue is much better sounding, in my opinion.”
