I had this dream last night where Swan Queen and SuperCorp met at Stortbrook.
That fic where Daisy Johnson was Emma's foster sister and fought a dragon? That was like that, but instead it was SuperCorp.
Lena and Kara were on a road trip in Maine, their car broke down near the town and they were hanging around Granny's waiting for the repairs being made.
They were trying to stay incognito and only succeeding because everyone in Storybrook was too busy with curses and local gossips to care about the news about National City or Metropolis. Well, maybe Henry knew, but he's Henry. Of course he would know.
Anyway the dragon's defeated and our ladies start a friendship. I mean, imagine Lena and Regina talking about magic ("I thought magic didn't exist outside Storybrook") and Emma and Kara laughing about their idiot witch "friend" and sharing about the heaviness of the hero mantel.
Also, which couple isn't a couple yet and the other makes them realise? ("Oh no, we're not married. Right?")
I need to write that fic now...

Here's my poster of my official version of my version for my DisneyElseWorld's Pixar's...
INSIDE OUT 2!
Tumblr media
I saw the new Inside Out 2 trailer, and they made Anxiety, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Envy bad by betraying the old emotions. Lots of crazy stuff is about to happen! We don't know what's going on, lots of details are there too. But what would the ElseWorld version be like?
SO!
For my idea. I have 6 new emotions, the OC emotions like, Courage, Surprise, Pride, Trust, Shame, and Frustration.
MAIN VILLAIN
I am using on of my oc villains, Spite, to be the main villain of the AU second movie.
OTHER CHARACTERS
Characters like Nia, the assistant of Ego, she runs the business with him but she tries to avoid him to help others. Bud, Courage's blood cell buddy, he doesn't speak but he's sweet, nervous, cute and got some attitude. And Brain, the big boss of Riley's mind, and the emotions need his help to stop Ego.
What New Places Would the Emotions Go To?
In this AU, far from HQ and Long Term Memory, instead of the back of the mind being empty, there is a huge mind-filled city called Mindtopia, aka, The City of Riley, where everything in the mind has everybody for Riley's Inner Workings in her mind. That also includes Headquarters. And guess what, they're not the only company, there's also banks, council buildings, restaurants, malls, houses, apartments, and everything for Mind Workers after they work at Long Term Memory. And The Mind Councilman, Chairman, is the Mind Prime Minister.
Returning Cast like...
Amy Poehler as Joy, Bill Hader as Fear (YES! I'm bringing Bill Hader back! He's so much funnier then I expected), Lewis Black as Anger, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Kensington Tallman as Riley, Diane Lane as Mrs. Andersen, and Kyle MacLachlan as Mr. Andersen.
Recast Alert!
I actually like Liza Lapira playing Disgust. After what Mindy Kaling did in Velma, it wasn't enough for me. Because the show and her are piles of shit to me.
With All-Star Cast like...
Jake Johnson (the Spider-Verse films) as the new outside leader emotion known as Courage, Sam Richardson (Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken) as Surprise, Kate McKinnon (Ferdinand & Saturday Night Live) as Frustration,
Andrew Rannells (Trolls 3) as Trust, Randall Park (Paw Patrol: The Movie) as Pride, Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family and The Secret Life of Pets films) as Melancholy, Paula Pell (Saturday Night Live and The Cat In The Hat) as Aunt Feely & Mrs. Andersen's Anger, Henry Winkler (Barry, Monsters At Work) as the mind algorithm/brainiac boss of the mind known as Brain, Nathan Fillion (Monsters University & Cars 3) as the villainous and hilarious, but very evily whiny, yet hateful, Spite,
Zooey Deschanel (Surf's Up and Trolls) as Ego's sarcastic female assistant, Nia, Lucas Neff (Raising Home and Monsters At Work) as Yes Man, Will Forte (the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs films) as Mind Gate Guard Jimmy, Peter Sohn (Ratatouille, Lightyear, and Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse) as the emotions new best blood cell companion buddy named Bud, Stephen Root (Barry, and King of the Hill) as Mind
Natasha Rothwell (the Sonic films) as Riley's middle school P.E. coach, Mrs. Hutch, Thomas Barbusca (Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life) as Jordan, Haley Tju (Amphibia) as Kelli, Beanie Feldstein (Neighbors 2) as Riley's bully, Frances, and Josh Peck (Drake & Josh and Drillbit Taylor) as Frances' friend, Nate.
CREW
Written & Directed by Josh Cooley
Co-Directed by Bob Peterson and Ronnie Del Carmen

Henry's Sister

Cw: child abuse, implied underage substance abuse, implied underage drinking, pedophilia
Tumblr media
“Does Michael Gray live here?” you asked the boy who answered the door.
He reeked of alcohol and cigarattes and looked very criminal.
Mama had warned you that Henry’s real family were all criminals and not good Catholics, but Michael —it was never Henry in private— was your brother even if you did not share blood.
He was your brother until the man with the black coat came and he decided to leave.
You had never understood why Michael would leave; let alone why he pretended the Johnsons never existed.
After all, it was mama and papa who helped him heal after what happened to him at the orphanage, it was them who raised him and nurtured him as if he was their own child.
Mama cannot have babies, so she took in children and became a better mother than the one her children had before.
You, like some, didn’t have a good family. Your mother was cruel and hurt you until the Parish took you away and gave you to the Johnsons.
The Johnsons used to be a family up until Michael left like a ghost.
After him, the woman who says she is your mother showed up and demanded they hand you over.
Your mother had very powerful friends, some that ran charities like the one she used to take you away from mama and papa.
The Shelby Foundation, that was the one she used to take you away from your real family.
She was not a good woman; she was cruel and evil and wanted you to marry a man old enough to be your grandfather because he has money and things rich people like her care about.
The Johnsons couldn’t help you, every time you ran to mama and papa, your mother would send bad policemen to drag you away.
“Go to Henry, little love.” Your mama had said kissing your head and crying as she snuck you to the train station. “Ask for Michael Gray, your brother will ask his cousin to protect you and that woman will never come near you again.”
And so you had.
You had taken what you could carry and arrived at Small Heath wondering why Michael would want to live here.
The country was beautiful, clean and safe.
How you wished Thomas Shelby had never come looking for your brother!
“Who’s asking?” the boy looks at you with curiosity, like he’s never seen a country girl before.
“His sister, Y/N Johnson. It’s an emergency, can you please tell him that.” You ask, hoping he cannot tell why you are so nervous.
“If it’s an emergency, you better come inside, girl.” An older woman, not that old, but like maybe in her late twenties or early thirties, says as she rocks a baby behind the boy who opened the door.
“Name’s Esme, that is Finn Shelby. Michael isn’t here, but you can wait inside before it starts to rain again.” She said as Finn closed the door behind you.
“After Mr. Shelby showed up and you left, my mother showed up saying that mama couldn’t be trusted to look after us and they took us all away. My mother said that the Shelby Foundation let her do that. That because the Russians killed Mrs.Shelby and let her take over the board, she could close all the foster homes in Birmingham if I tried to run away again.” You explained to Mrs. Gray and your brother and his cousins.
Grace Shelby had died, but she had been a stupid woman. Only a stupid person would trust your mother with something so precious like children.
Grace never saw the bruises, never heard the words she said, never saw how she tired to sell you to the highest bidder.
Polly and Michael could help you; you just don’t see how the man who let the orphanage be run by such a wicked woman could be of any help.
“You’ll stay with me at my place, Tommy, you’ll put men to keep an eye out for trouble and tomorrow morning I’ll be giving that fucking bitch a piece of my mind.” Michael’s mother ordered and let you cry on her shoulder. “We’ll keep you safe.”
“I’m sorry, Y/N, you must think I’m the worst brother in the world.” Michael said once you had gone home with him and his mother.
They were nice, even if a bit rough around the edges.
They would kill for you, not because they cared for you, but because you were Michael’s sister and that made you family.
Thomas Shelby would make a deal with the Oddfellows —that thing your mother belonged to— and Polly will make sure no child has to suffer because your mother is in charge of their lives.
“Did you ever read the letters I sent you?” you ask knowing the answer to that.
Michael had a selfish streak about him, mama tried to love him out of it, but she never could.
Always about him, never about anyone else. Always a bit of a prick.
He had been so selfish in thinking he could be with his real family that he decided to forget all about you. As if you didn’t matter to him at all.
Always selfish, always a prick.
But he will always be your brother.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. I should’ve been a better brother.” Michael apologized and you wondered if that was why you accepted his lousy apology.
----
“Aunt Pol said you like horses.” Finn says with that stupid grin Michael used to get when he was showing off in front of the girls.
“Yeah, the Johnsons have a farm. Loved horses as long as I remember.” You admitted as the two of you walked by the canal.
You liked Finn. He was your age; he wasn’t as intimidating as his brothers and you got along like a house on fire.
It had been months since you showed up, Tommy had nearly died and gotten better, Michael’s bitchy rich girlfriend left after Polly threatened to tell him that there had never been a baby and she used the money for drugs, and still there was no way to save you from that man your mother had sold you to.
You, a girl of 16, were to marry some old baronet at the end of the year come hell or high water.
“Maybe we could go riding later, Esme’s new mare is really sweet and I know she won’t mind if you took her for a short ride.” He suggests with a blush, was this his way of asking you on a date?
“I’ll have to ask Polly if she’ll let me.” You say hoping she’ll say yes.
Like she’d ever say no, not when she knows how much you like Finn.

The Legend of Vox Machina
Episodes 7, 8 and 9 Are Out!
Tumblr media
As of this evening, the new episodes of "The Legend of Vox Machina," Season 2 (7, 8 and 9) are Number 1 on Amazon's Top 10. Be sure to catch the Watch Party for Episodes 7, 8 and 9 on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10:00PM Eastern (7:00PM Pacific) on the Critical Role Twitch channel.
Tumblr media
This Thursday on Critical Role, the most frequently asked question was "Where was Ashley?" Work? Vacation? No one knows, but she appeared in this week's episode of Critical Role (Campaign 3, Episode 47) via satellite location.
Speaking of Ashley Johnson, those of us who enjoyed "Talks Machina" and "Between The Sheets" with Brian Foster will be happy to hear Brian is ready to take on the world and do what he does best! Brian started the year with a brand new set for his Twitch stream and will be conducting interviews again on his new set, something so many of us have been waiting for since we realized "Between The Sheets" was over.
If you love "The Legend of Vox Machina" the animated series, "Talks Machina" can give you some behind-the-scenes insights from each of the cast members from the original campaign. "Talks Machina" Playlists can be found here:
Talks Machina Episodes For Campaign 1
Talks Machina Episodes For Campaign 2
youtube
Today was the inaugural run for Brian's new set. He's still perfecting the package and probably will be for the next few broadcasts, but the interviews have been lined up and he's ready to go! Ashley looked incredibly comfy on the couch and I loved being able to hear about the people they've met and the places they've been together as snippets of their history slipped into the conversation.
Tumblr media
For those of us who have missed seeing Henry on the set of "Talks Machina" with Brian, good news! Brian's new, comfy set comes complete with doggos! Henry and Bullock can be seen hanging out wherever they are most comfortable throughout the stream.
In addition to his interview schedule, Brian is poised to do a complete "The Last of Us" game playthrough once the PC version is released by Naughty Dog on March 28th. If you love HBO's "The Last of Us" series, it's a great opportunity to learn more about the source material and perhaps learn some behind the scenes tidbits if Ashley is around while the gameplay is streaming. For those unfamiliar with both the game and the HBO Live Action Series, Ashley Johnson is the voice of Ellie in the game and makes an appearance in the series as Ellie's mother.
youtube
As a side note, if you loved "The Last of Us" in any of its forms, Pedro Pascal will be hosting Saturday Night Live tomorrow, February 4th on NBC.
If you love "The Legend of Vox Machina" please be sure to watch it as often as you like on Amazon Prime to keep the good energy going!
Be well blessed and well loved always. ❤️

alright. the last of us finale.
i wanted to wait a week before i gave my thoughts because i was in a bad headspace the day it took place and i felt that affected my viewpoint on it, but now that am i feeling better i realize that i have a lot of the same feelings.
overall, it was fine. i’m someone who played the game and have been a fan for ten years. this game is actually what got me into zombies (and yes despite what the creator said… they’re zombies.) like a lot people say, it was too short and felt rushed, especially because we had so little time with ellie and joel in favor of an origin story scene (i will get to that later). if you take out that scene + the recap and the behind the scenes feature, the time spent with ellie and joel is only 32 minutes long. we only had a half an hour to tie things together and it really showed. this is the biggest detriment to the episode (in contrast, episode 3 is about an hour and 15 minutes. we had almost double that time to spend with bill and frank, which i loved but that’s not the point.)
as for the origin scene, as great as it was and as thrilling as it was to see ashley johnson (the original voice and mocap for ellie) as her mother, i would have rather we had seen this earlier or just for the finale to be longer. it’s unnecessary. we don’t get it in the game, and it was originally a story that neil druckmann had made post writing the game. i would have loved it in a different context, but again i just wish that the ep would have been longer because i feel like this is a main detractor from the finale.
moving on, the rest of the episode plays pretty close to the game. the giraffe scene was amazing, i liked how the characters opened up more (specifically joel about his attempted suicide, something that wasn’t in the game). i kind of laughed at his john wick style shooting and that he must have had his super hearing from the game, but gained a greater appreciation after listening to the podcast and hearing that the reason why he had such an upper hand is that he dropped his humanity and was completely calm because he felt so strongly in what he had to do. the music was somber instead of action-oriented. everyone else was panicking.
now about his decision: it’s the trolley problem essentially, but with more variables. in the show, it’s presented that ellie’s death was necessary and there would be a vaccine created, no questions asked. i read an article where medical students were sounding off about how ludicrous this was and i have to agree. in the game, we are at least shown some x-rays that demonstrate that the cordyceps was definitely in her brain.
but the thing is, the entire story of the last of us is about love and what it makes us do. we are shown this time and time again; joel going on the journey out of devotion to tess, bill and frank living fulfilling lives, kathleen going on a rampage for her killed brother, henry having to kill sam and then killing himself, ellie and riley, etc.
joel loves ellie as much as he loved his daughter, and that love is what leads joel to save her. whether that’s the right decision or not is irrelevant because this is what the entire series has been leading to, the fostering of a relationship that seemed impossible back in episode one. if joel had let ellie die, even if it were to potentially save the world or whatever (which i contest wouldn’t happen anyway because the fireflies would pick and choose who could get it, also how are they supposed to mass produce and distribute it, etc), their journey would feel wrong. i fully believe that ellie knows that joel is lying to her, and now their relationship could be back at square one because of the lack of trust.
season two (and three? it might be broken up into two according to the director) won’t be here until 2025. and unless they make some MAJOR changes from the second game, it’s going to be even more divisive than the first season. i did not like the second game, but that’s another rant for another time.

Description: “NCIS History-Special Agent Vietnam is a comprehensive account of naval counterintelligence and criminal investigations in Vietnam. Doug Hubbard's first-hand experience provides unique insights into this little explored topic of the war, and the addition of a broad spectrum of his photos complements the narrative with a real life appeal. In an era when the term "terrorism" was not yet in vogue, NIS' investigations of insurgent attacks against US troops is a grim reminder of current threats our military faces in Afghanistan and around the globe on a daily basis.” Michael Sulick, Former Director, CIA National Clandestine Service “Although the Viet Nam War gives up its secrets grudgingly, former special agent Douglass Hubbard unveils an intriguing account of U.S. Naval Intelligence operations in the Republic of Vietnam. Drawing on his three years’ service in Vietnam and his subsequent research and interviews, Hubbard weaves a masterful story with 'NCIS History Special Agent Vietnam' that is equally inspiring and frustrating-just as the war itself proved to be.” Colonel Joseph H. Alexander, USMC. (Ret.) author of the Battle History of the U.S. Marines “Doug Hubbard Jr. explores the seamy underside of the Vietnam War from his ‘catbird seat’ as a special agent of the Naval Investigative Service. At the most there were never more than twenty-one of these Naval Intelligence officers serving in-country, and they had to deal with an overload of such unsavory matters as counter espionage, sabotage, black marketing, currency manipulation, simple theft, drug trafficking, subversion, rape, and murder. Sometimes these investigations came to a brilliant resolution that Sherlock Holmes would have applauded. More often they foundered because of command apathy or indifference.” Brigadier General Edwin H. Simmons, USMC, Chief of Staff of the First Marine Division in 1970, former head of the Marine Corps History Branch, and author of Frozen Chosin: US Marines at the Changjin Reservoir “Doug Hubbard’s exposition with NCIS History Special Agent Vietnam defines a period of counterintelligence development in the Vietnam conflict and records its events for the first time. Compiled personal recollections of wartime special agents make this historical narrative a defining work in the legacy left by the group of Naval Intelligence professionals who devised rules for counterintelligence and force protection in the challenging and dangerous arena of Vietnam in the 1960s. Theirs was a monumental contribution to the U.S. government’s efforts to achieve stability in the Republic of Vietnam, particularly in the early days of the mission when much was accomplished by a select few.” Maynard C. Anderson, former Assistant Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Security Policy
Review - It was a decent book with a lot of historical information on the Vietnam War and NIS's members. The main problem with the book was how light it was on actual cases vs pages and pages of commentary of who was assigned when and where. Another major issue were the multiple misspellings (Viet Congo is a common one) and repeated paragraphs. It's not unreadable, but it had issues. But for the historical information, and a few insights into deserters, fraggings, and a few interesting cases, it's worth a read.

My mother when I was maybe 11 told me at about 14 when I was old enough to carry a heavy backpack, we'd do a trip to Turkey. (I should note, I left with a backpack properly full of food after passing through Turkey for a little over two weeks, even if I couldn't cook it, due largely to the generosity of people there; that said, I was abruptly approached by the police just after receiving a thousand Turkish lira in cash from a seemingly kindly man which hardly seems like a coincidence and I strongly suspect connects to the "beggar's tomb" theme in my music video demo. He wanted me to wear underwear when I've been in a kilt the whole time, which is a dead giveaway he was connected to a system of donations and therefore not acting independently). I have to say, the national parks and other wilderness areas in Turkey were truly extraordinary, with beautiful mountains and woods, and I felt I did some great thinking there. We didn't get the trip in when I was 14 which I think is typical of my parents, whom I've completely cut off. They often have a scatterbrained idea about everything.
I've still been wondering about the feeling of maybe being a king I mention in the video. One possibility is in a past life I tortured a lot of treason suspects as a king, and this is just a punishment leading me to receive that karma.
Anyway, one of the potentially kingly insights I had deep in the Turkish forests was when I imagined touring the world, doing presentations to people who check people into flights, and explaining how we arrived at the exact policies to protect them from burnout on the job. The reader will have to bear with me, but I connect it to a story my mother told me about how a soldier noticed Asian soldiers blown to pieces in combat had no atherosclerosis, while American soldiers did. So here's how I connect it.
So, I imagined showing up for the presentation, and telling my story of my life, which Tony Robbins does often. I would include Jeff Harris and Jacob's website with the "Keeping it real" motto Eric Johnson and I couldn't think of anything better than, and how actor Ben Foster told me a story about Jacob eating teacher Mr. Flesner's fern. Then, like Henry Ford, where in his famous trial where he argued successfully he was not ignorant, I'd bring in a team of experts to help explain the policies for checking people into flights. The idea is everyone could be forced into a completely rigid form of behaviour, like a human robot, as one extreme, or there could be an "anything goes" policy for verbal and physical abuse on the other. So finding the sweet spot is the key, and we'd use a team of experts to narrow in on it. So as the king I'd answer some of the questions, and call on the perhaps 8 experts for the ones I didn't know. So there's a natural balance of rules and freedoms we'd be trying to hit the sweet spot of with experts in general.
And that I think connects to the different races and their different levels of intelligence. The more intelligent races would naturally have more rules in the above equation. The Asians with slanted eyes are one of the most intelligent races, so that might explain why they didn't have atherosclerosis and the Americans did, since they could naturally absorb more rules, and there are a complex set of dietary rules to prevent atherosclerosis that might be too much for the white Americans. But my theory is the Asians with slanted eyes, being savages, took their perfectionism to an extreme, so it's not just atherosclerosis they wiped out. Then, being savages, they developed a deep sense of superiority, and sat on it for as long as possible. If they hadn't been savages they wouldn't have been so easily deluded into essentially a form of "loserdom".
I was imagining Africans and Latin Americans who have had their lives and economies overrun by the Asians recently, would do the justice in Asia, to teach them not to be savages and to respect as part of that the less intelligent races. That seems like a really good way to teach the lesson and there are some other ideas I have for that.
