i think the Watchers are talented beautiful artists, they adore creating, but, i think that since a lot of them have access to a sorta ~creative mode, able to spawn in things, and are so, so, old, they lose their way a bit and take cheaper routes, just to get through their schedules.

why cook ? they can spawn in food. theres no use for grinding, they can build walls in seconds, theres no need to travel for supplies, no need to go beyond what they know, no need to be extra.

its much like a/i "art", its easy, but so soullessness, lazy, and cheap.

another layer of disappointment for Grian. at first, everything seems so beautiful, so overwhelming, but the food is bland, and he notices the asymmetry, he counts the stone tiles across the hall and down.

Hes looked at in confusion or even annoyance when he suggests doing things the longer way.

I do find it moderately amusing when looking at the contrast between magical mountain's representation within the hermitcraft fanbase (especially early on in the season where it was absolutely everywhere) and its importance as a collective on the actual server (almost non-existant). I think people got really excited for a new boatem, but I don't think they've done anything as a larger group since day one. That being said, if you want to watch the actual successor to boatem this season- check out some of the hermits in the neighbourhood! They are always in each others business, have done quite a lot as a collective and are consistently hilarious whenever they interact. I feel like their relative lack of popularity is meaning a lot of hermitcraft fans are missing out on what in my view is the best grouping of the season, so if you were a fan of boatem, or similar close-knit groups, why not give them a try!

I do feel bad for people who really only use Twitter, I used it exclusively for a while when it was still decent-ish pre-elongated crust, and it's been dogshit but it keeps getting worse... but some people

have all their mutuals and friends there

some people can't use other social media they otherwise would due to it being banned where they are (which might include the aforementioned mutuals and friends living there too)

a ton of people have a larger following or reach there than any other sites they use that won't follow them elsewhere and that's their only source of income so they can't just delete and leave

and it's one of the few major social medias left where there's an active and openly allowed nsfw scene.

The fact that the alternatives are smaller sites scattered all over the place that might die in a few years, get worse, stagnate, or just never get much traffic just has me kinda
