Ok Kenta aside what's Leona doing as the de facto leader of a portion of his brother's kingdom. How is he running it. Is there a Zira expy/representarive that thinks hes just the best thing since sliced bread. I have to know!!

Tbh! At first even before Kenta was a thing, it was overwhelming. The depression plus the whole onset of new responsibility was ROUGH on Leona.

He basically got the Outlands equivalent in this AU. The place most royals wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. And Leona's reputation was already kinda shit among the regular folk. But there were plenty of hopeful citizens thinking that MAYBE. Leona would be their savior.

He's trying so hard to be.

He actually has to put in effort, and this is what he wants, right. He wants to be able to rule! But this isn't exactly what he expected. Still. He rolls up his sleeves, and gets to work.

First thing he does is look at all the stuff that Farena's not bothered to look at. Taxes, ordinances, ect. Just realizes he needs to get back in touch w/ the people of the Outlands, and that's why he starts sneakin out. He needs to do recon.

And that's when he meets Kenta.

While Kenta's a kid, his insight is invaluable, helps Leona start to draft up stuff, issues that the Zira expy might not have covered/not touched on. Leona probs starts with dealing with the lack of food, setting up an appeal for more food from the main kingdom. It's a start, and he doesn't have high hopes for this. But he's not gonna let Farena think that he's not capable of handling this.

He has to live up to the King of Beasts' memory. He has to make this right.

While he works mostly to spite Farena, he starts to learn that, hey. These guys. They're starving. They're hungry.

He needs to help them.
