I was literally just thinking about this. I think he has 3 phones:

1 for his personal life (he’s still very cryptic on it—like your contact name would MAYBE be your initials and theres little to no photos on there)

1 is a burner phone for work (only has it on him to contact you during his shifts)

and 1 is basically yours (its also a burner phone and is the only phone number in his work phone — he very meticulously went through how you should communicate on these phones; no names, no personal information at all, you have a code where he’ll call you once, let it ring once, hang up, and call again—you should not answer the phone unless that happens—, you’re not supposed to call him at all for obvious reasons but if its an emergency send a 911 text and he’ll start sprinting to your location in 30 seconds or less.

your stalker would have to be pretty shit at his hobby if he didn't pick up on the fact that you have an absolutely massive boyfriend who doesn't appear to be losing fights anytime soon. this being so, it'll probably be very clear to your secret shadow that it's in his best interest to only get anywhere near you when he's not around.

if you realize the situation before him, you call him the second you put the pieces together, freaking out. he comes home immediately, taking care to calm you down and make sure you know you’re safe, he’s not going to let shit happen to you. he’ll probably have roy come over or he’ll drop you at the manor for a bit while he goes to handle the problem. it’s more for your peace of mind than anything, he knows damn well nobody’s breaking into your apartment with the way he’s got it locked down.

on the other hand, if he figures it out before you notice, he’s taking care of it one and done before you even know about it.

it won’t take him long at all to find out who this guy is and literally everything about him. if he’s someone dangerous—any kind of serious record or indication of violent tendencies—he’s killing him. jason has learned well enough not to take chances with people like that, especially not in relation to you.

if he finds that the stalker is more or less harmless—really just some guy with a bad sense of boundaries, low socialization capabilities, and a very intense crush—he’ll probably scare him into leaving you alone or getting him locked up if he has to. in any case, he’s keeping heavy tabs on him and making sure he doesn’t come within a mile radius of you. probably gets oracle to help him out with this.

the first time it happens he is so tired. he's just gotten back from patrol and there's blood and dirt all over his armor and his hair is a tousled mess. his shoulders droop as he removes his suit and he can barely keep his eyes open but he's so dirty he has to shower but he's not sure he has the willpower to push his body all the way into the bathroom.

but you, the saving grace that you are, start running a bath for him before he's even fully stripped. he honestly doesn't even register the sound of the water running and can only think about how much he wishes he could sleep right now. so you take his hand and guide him wordlessly to the bathroom, and while he's grateful for the assistance, he still doesn't realize what you're doing until he sees the bath, completely full and welcoming.

you sit on the edge of the tub and he leans back against you, eyes closed, relishing the feeling of you running your fingers through his hair. if he were slightly more awake he'd feel bad about getting your shirt wet because he's too exhausted to hold himself upright on his own, but right now all he can think about is how relaxed he feels. relaxation is far and few between for him and was bordering on impossible before he met you, so the fact that you have him sitting here so vulnerable, it's basically the equivalent to handing you his life.

you nudge him to sit up a bit further so you can scoop up handfuls of water and get his hair wet without it spilling onto the floor. the warm water feels amazing against his scalp and he squeezes his eyes shut at the sensation.

you squeeze out two pumps from your shampoo bottle, something he was silently hoping you would do because he loves that it smells like you. you spend longer than you need to lathering it into his hair, just wanting to be sure that you can get him as relaxed as possible (you're quite successful)

he tilts his head back as you rinse the suds out of his hair, smiling to himself when you bring one of your hands up to help support the back of his neck. you decide you'll save him of suffering through the wait of the extra step of conditioner and you hand him your best, fluffiest towel to dry off.

you sit up on the bathroom counter as you blow dry his hair on the low setting, careful not to let it get too hot on his head. he palms at your thighs the whole time like a stress ball, trying to fight the urge to rest his forehead on your shoulder.

his eyes are basically closed as you guide him back to your bedroom, climbing onto the bed and pulling him in after you. he collapses his head onto your chest, arms wrapped around your waist. his body is completely lax and he's barely able to mumble out a thank you when he feels you press a gentle kiss to his forehead before sleep finally takes him.

sure these things happen

i think it would happen one of the first few times you had sex. he has little experience going in and like, he knows he’s big, and he knows that requires a lot of prep for you—especially if you’re also not very experienced. most importantly, he knows there's a difference between you hurting and you being hurt.

so the very first time he’s extra sure to get you prepped tenfold, and yeah, it still hurts but its bearable compared to what it would’ve been otherwise. so he keeps that up and it hurts less and less each time he enters, so maybe after the first handful of times he might get a little expeditious with it.

neither of you realize it until he’s pushing into you and the stretch hurts a lot more than it has before and it has you yelping out before he even gets the tip all the way in. he’d pull out immediately, terrified that he'd hurt you already. and yeah, it did hurt, but you weren't bleeding or injured and it just surprised you more than anything.

he's pushing away from you quick though, even as you tell him as much, mortified at the idea that he'd caused you pain by being careless. he knew better, he really did, he just got caught up in the moment. he'll uh—kiss it better—to make up for it and probably won't let himself fuck you for at least that night.

in most scenarios i think he wouldn’t

i dont think he’s able to divide those two lives in the same way that someone like dick could. beyond qualities of his personality giving him up, there’s so many reasons that I don’t think he would be able to keep up with the lie.

he has guns hidden and not-so hidden all over his apartment and the security measures he has set up aren’t exactly standard. he’s also very noticeably paranoid about a lot of things in a way that doesn’t suggest he’s had a normal life—even for gotham.

also he can lie, he has to be able to lie, but i think he’s kind of bad at last-minute, unexpected excuses and conversations where the lie involves

1) someone (you) that he’s close to that

2) doesn’t know about his/his families vigilantism

he can lie to strangers or people he doesnt really care about (or even sometimes his family) because they dont know shit about him anyways but you do. how the hell is he supposed to explain to you why he’s gone most nights from the hours of 10pm to 4am and comes back bruised and battered? why he gets so stressed he hits his punching bag until his knuckles bleed? no, with someone that sees him & knows him i dont think he could do it. i dont think he would want to anyways. i cant see him completely trusting someone that doesn’t even know he’s hood, much less entering a serious relationship with them.

as such i think in most scenarios you would have to meet him as red hood and have things progress from there.

so i’ve seen a lot of different ways people have prophesied this playing out

but I THINK reader would have to be the one to say it first

he would realize he loved you first, and relatively early on, but it would be difficult for him to confront those feelings, especially out loud. i think it would be scary for him and he might even try to avoid you for a little while as it sinks in. it would be a pretty brief avoidance all together, so much so that you might not even notice it happened.

i think it would come more naturally for you to say it first, he feels nothing short of safe and like the personification of love for you.

so no matter how much time passes in between him realizing he loves you and you telling him you do, it would take him by surprise to hear it from you. i think (especially after it sinks in and he really starts to believe that you love him) it would start some of the repairs on his heart and his head that he thought would stay broken.

Jason doesn't strike me as a PDA kind of guy. But 100% would let others know in other subtle or maybe not so subtle ways. Like death glaring anyone who looks at you, lmao.

completely agree, i think he’s borderline uncomfortable with PDA, at most he’ll kiss your knuckles or your forehead, that kind of thing. thats not to say he’s not touching you all the time, he’s constantly holding your hand or has his hands on your waist.

big glarer though, just naturally. it gets more intentional when he’s w you and sees someone looking at you in a way he doesn’t like. 6’5 man with his arms around you death staring someone is enough to get rid of anyone.

for me jason would has very full eyebrows and his hair is very black and full (because he's a leo and leo's have an amazing hair!!)

there’s only a few on the rest of his body that are very noticeable at a glance

i think he has one pretty significant scar on his right hand from gun backfire

i think his cheeks get very pink in the cold

i think his hair looks jet black when youre inside but out in the sun you can see the brown in it

i think his hair is usually pretty straight but if it’s very humid out or he takes a steamy shower it gets curly/wavy, especially at the front

i think he’d prefer doing the job himself, makes him feel more connected with you and, well. prideful. he likes being able to make you come with just his body and toys inherently mean that he’s touching you less actively, which he is not a fan of.

is he completely against it? no. if you have some he’ll use them if you want but he’s not going shopping for them. at first though i think he’d try to toss them without you noticing bc he got a little jealous at the idea of a piece of plastic making you come. but talk to him about it and he’ll try it out; vibrators are your best bet with him, he’d like pressing one to your clit when he’s inside of you.

alright i know canon literally only has him with vigilante s/o's and such bc of course it does, comics would be boring if heroes were dating regular people all the time

but im a big believer in jason with a civilian gf

i think he more than anyone else needs the sense of normalcy in a relationship (especially the relationship) in order to emotionally heal properly. i think if he's dating a vigilante, on at least some level, his life becomes all crime and fighting and there's no reprieve or part of his world thats able to bring stability and peace. like regardless of what his s/o does, i think it would be too much for him and things would go downhill for him mentally
