We love New York! A few months ago, a client came to us with three colorful works on paper depicting NYC corner stores, all by the muralist and illustrator @thesnoeman. After reviewing options, the client and designer Paul Jordan chose our Hicks profile for the works, because it was simple, and the detail along the edge offered some slight depth to compliment the storefronts. A custom paint casein finish in a grey tone was chosen because it was a color consistent in all three pieces, and gave off the same feeling as the weathered concrete and metal gates that are actually common to NYC bodegas (cold in the winter and hot in the summer).
