I’m a terrible person I drew “peak Tom” in the Hiddleswift era. ☠️ I really do love Zawe I’m not trying to celebrate the past but I got tired of my AI stuff and just felt the old marker (and some procreate) situation and this look of his was so 🔥🔥🔥. One could argue our recent WimbleTOM pics share a certain “classic Tom” spirit, I would say they do, yet here I am dragging up summer 2016.

Taylor x Daisies: A History 🌼

Taylor's recent Tik Tok featured her in a retro green sweater adorned with daisies. I thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane exploring Taylor's relationship with daisies:

Here some classic vintage-style dress Taylors wearing daisies, including a look from the WANEEGBT video. Taylor loved a sweet side braid during Speak Now era, and white daisies represent innocence, so I can see how this styling could be a reference to her younger years when she had songs about revenge but also a daisy-like style that suited her so we'll.

Oh, the infamous daisy saga that has fed Kaylorism for years. A yellow daisy is actually a symbol for friendship and joy, so I can see why Taylor would use it here in connection to this road trip. Don't Blame Me referenced this, with the lyric "now I'm your daisy" being accented by a hand-drawn daisy resembling the one from K's Instagram post. This all sets up an interesting possibility for Taylor's later use of daisies that I will tell next...

Taylor's Tik Tok cardigan reminds me strongly of the sweater she wore in her 2020 Instagram post. Katy Perry and Taylor had buried the hatchet the previous year, and Katy was working on her album "Daisies" at the time of this post, so of course people speculated the two would Collab. But that didn't happen. BUT remember how white daisies rep innocence? I've long suspected that Karldusa manipulated Taylor into getting into some of the famous feuds she became known for during the 1989 years in order to isolate Taylor from others. I've wondered if Bad Blood was really about Karldusa, but on one of K and Taylor's many reunited periods in their toxic relationship, Taylor changed the story of who the song was about. See: how cagey Taylor was about explaining it in a magazine article. Basically what I'm saying is.... conspiracy theory: what if Taylor is saying she was actually innocent in the feud with Katy Perry as she was either manipulated into it or the two even agreed to publicly feud for headline fodder:

Heading back in time to Lover era, yellow daisies featured in the album photoshoot. Again, yellow daisies are friendship and Lover seems to be an album about love being about friendship, so it's interesting to see her putting the daisies in her mouth and eye.

If you subscribe to the belief the #Hiddleswiftwasreal #RIPHiddleswift, it's also interesting to note that daisies are connected to Freya, Loki's adoptive mother who mentored him (#daddyissues). Lover era, in particular the ME! Music video, holds so many visual references to Tom, especially his role as Loki, that the inclusion of daisies in the Lover photoshoot is interesting to say the least.
