Daffodil Flats in Linville Gorge. Wow this hike was intense! Getting back up and out of the gorge was no joke, especially with a baby in the backpack 😅 but it was a beautiful day. The daffodils bloomed early this year and made for an amazing picnic. Do not try this hike if you are not a strong hiker. Today Olive 🐶 and I ventured out to hike in a sea of dense fog. Well, truth be told when we left at 7:30am it was sunny and clear but the last 1/4 mile up the mountain a blanket of grey consumed us.
