This is part of Groundwork/Landlinks project, with work inspired by the environment, walking and studying the (urban or rural) landscape. A synchronised walk took place on Sunday 22nd March at 14:00. The place chosen had to be somewhere I hadn’t walked before, so I chose randomly on the map. The walk is near East Harptree - situated 8km north of Wells and 24.1km south of Bristol, on the northern slope of the Mendip Hillls. The sound is a collaboration with artist Michael Fairfax, using field recordings mixed with sounds created in the studio using various hand-made instruments. I recommend listening using headphones for stereo effect.
