My piece for the #HankExchange2022 event for Danya @danyaselmar They asked for a reverse AU, I hope they'll like it!

Hank and Connor have a long tiring workday and during his smoke break Hank brings Connor a Coffee. Connor would never ask for it, Hank does it on his own. They are good partners and friends, always listening to the other's needs on hard days like these~

Just replayed d:bh recently, coming up with some reverse au headcanons because reasons

- Hank's pretty tidy, with the trimmed beard and the little ponytail, but he's got a dad bod because CyberLife thought having the first Android detective look like a mixture between an experienced authority and an approachable figure (like a dad) would be beneficial.

- Connor isn't an alcoholic, he's got dead parents but he's not really mourning them? He's pretty opposite to Hank in canon, he was adopted by Captain Amanda Stern at 15 after graduating highschool because he was a very smart boi, and Amanda was pretty much his boot camp, he got onto the force at 19 after getting a bachelor's in forensics and a year of police academy. Now he's 30 and a Lieutenant, and full of anxiety over not being good enough and addicted to Speed

- Nines (probably legally named Niles) is like a decade younger than Connor, still in the police academy during canon, and is determined to be better than Connor even though Amanda never let him skip grades and Nines has to join the force at 21 instead of 19

- Hank isnt running the show like Connor does in canon, instead strategically takes a back seat because the longer Connor works with an android the more he hates every flaw he has and Hank doesn't, because flaws make you fail and Connor Doesn't Fail

- Everyone in the bullpen tries to treat Connor like The Baby, because he's been on the force 11 years and is second youngest only to Miller by a hair. Connor hates it but he doesn't say anything

- Connor has suicidal tendancies, he's Brian from the breakfast club except he's got an android

- Hank's got a thing with fixing his hair like canon Connor has with fixing his tie. Hank's bangs slip out of place and half-cover his LED, which is against his dress code, so he has to keep fixing it. At the end Hank takes out his ponytail entirely and let's his bangs hang loose (like Connor at the end without his tie)

- Hank's first software instability is moving an old fridge box on it's side in an alleyway for puppy Sumo to sleep in just outside the building the first mission is on.

- Connor has fish

- Gavin hates Connor and makes fun of him for only being as high as he is because the captain of the department is his mom

- Connor absolutely flips his shit when he finds out Hank can analyse things he licks and makes him lick everything in the crime scene and tell Connor what it is even if Connor and Hank both already know. ("it's the same blood here as it is in the other patch, Lieutenant." "How can you be sure without a taste test? ',:3" "*Sigh*")
