shaking you and telling you its actually genius for tachibana to make shinpei a yandere which is a selfish character trope to foil satoko & kotaros selflessness its the two extremities of being selfish to the point of hurting others v the selflessness to the point of hurting yourself the way its literally a perfect foil to satoko marrying for her family like the way satoko was intending to marry whoever accepts her illness and engagement talk first and shinpei accepting the first marriage proposal from somebody who accepted his killings the whole “in the end ill put my feelings first even if it makes you unhappy” and satoko willing to have a marriage of convenience even if it makes her unhappy the wh(im forcefully dragged away)
