Seems like I was right, Takahashi didn't really want to kill off Kagura, she even cried..!

Also... I saw an interview from 2020 where she says the mother of the twins didn't change $esshoumaru, so the raisins took it as their ship being canon. First off eew! But she had said two females had changed him, R¡n, who was like a daughter and made him respect humans more, and Kagura, who gave him what he thought he didn't have, the ability to fall in love (demi King?). This interview is, if anything, implying SessKik as R¡n had already changed his view on humanity, and didn't introduce him to love like that for the first time like Kagura. That's how I interpret this at least.

But them celebrating that their "queen" didn't change anything within him... Just a cold-blooded r*pe on someone who didn't matter to him at all even though he saved her life and they travelled together... Just how messed up are they?! So I might be aromantic with no interest in romance, maybe even repulsed towards some. But this... Is outright depraved. If anyone of them are somehow married (because I doubt they'd date anyone not being a $esshoumaru daimakura due to lack of interest in anything else), do they get off by him looking coldly at them and not caring about them??

Honestly, killing off certain characters the way she did felt like a bad idea looking back after all these years. I could be wrong but it was clear she rushed the final arcs cause she stopped vibing with her work and just wanted an easy way out of the love drama Inuyasha had. Example how she just wrote off Koga. If it wasn't for the anime we would never see him again at the end really.

Anywho, my friend, so that 2020 interview was pretty vague to be honest and then in some bubble on the side it mentions "Rin: the girl who changed Sesshomaru" if I recall right, which still wasn't wife or woman tbh but then it got blown out of proportion. Though it could be she didn't want to spoil shit... Everytime Rumiko discusses Rin either she talks about her "as a kid" or plays the game of the "Rin is lava" seemingly trying to avoid the topic. Since the hogosha interview I haven't seen her discuss her again though. At least publicly. Everything else has been either from Sunrise staff's mouths or Shiina. It's become a sensitive topic for her ig.

Also after the fic with budget ended, she moved complete focus to promoting Urusei Yatsura (and the new anime looks like it was done with love and care unlike HnY).

So, when the fic manga finally ends she probably won't give an F about doing anything good about Inuyasha for many years or none at all. As any interview suggesting to her more sequels as been met with her giving passive aggressive answers like: "No, I don't think so. When a work is finished. It is finished no matter WHICH work it is"

Like she were talking specifically about Inuyasha. Guess she regrets her decision. Good.

And well about those sauceribs. I think they have a lot issues and via using Rib as a fleshsuit they just proyect all that shit to the point they're willing to die on that hill. Everytime, their bubble gets bursted by info from her or even Shiina himself—they try to find a way to go into cope. But it's not surprising since they act like a cult. Sometimes I think they don't even care about Sesshomaru. The basis of their whole ship is sex after all.

The most disgusting thing is that Sunrise chose to do HNY this way. They CHOSE to make Rin incredibly young. They chose to draw her looking that young at birth. They chose to parallel ROMANTIC InuKag scenes w/ scenes of 8-YEAR-OLD Rin & Sesshoumaru, making those look like they're SUPPOSED TO BE ROMANTIC TOO.

They CHOSE to show her as a little 11-year-old making GRABBY HANDS towards her ADULT GUARDIAN who would fuck her 4 years later.

Absolutely fucking nothing stopped them from setting HNY way into the future when she'd at least be AN ADULT TOO. They chose not to. They chose to consistently keep reminding us of child!Rin. They even fucking sold merch of her as a little child. Her character STILL begins & ends with Sesshoumaru. There is ZERO development. Rin has no personality whatsoever.

She worships the ground he walks on & they chose for her to become a babymaker for him. & then he took the kids away from her & she said NOTHING AGAINST IT like the submissive, blindly trusting, young CHILD she is. She speaks like a child IN the birthing scene!

Sesshoumaru spent more time with his wife when SHE was a child than he did with his own kids. Let that sink in. & then Rin is frozen in time so that when (if) she's released she will be the SAME age or maybe 1 year older than her children.

But Sunrise chose this. Sunrise chose to milk an entire generation's childhood nostalgia in order to cater a show that is 100% a cashgrab towards a group of people they knew was gonna celebrate that a grown man fucked a minor.

Yashahime’s art style (dis)appreciation post

So I’ve been collecting screen grabs of some of the more amusing art flubs that made it into the final product of this show for a while, because they amuse me so much. I mean we all remember the peculiar affect Towa seems to have on Kirara whenever she’s holding the poor little nekomata:

I think the consistent problems that Yashahime’s animators have with the hands of some of their characters should also give a lot of artists out here who struggle with hands some hope that if the animators in HNY can get paid to put this level of work into a finished product, then we’re all doing pretty good by comparison (I know hands and feet were always a struggle of mine.)

I think I get the most mileage out of the cringey art in HNY however when I compare it side by side with screen grabs of the original show. Miroku and Sango:

That gap between her eyes is bad, but the funny thing is that it’s just ever so slightly too wide. Like a hair more to the center and it would have been fine, but THOSE EARS are especially terrible am I right? Want further comparison to just how bad her ears look. Here are two celebrities who are well known for having big ears photographed in roughly the same angle Kagome is in both pictures above:

Really puts into perspective just how big they drew the ears of all the characters in HNY huh?

Before I get too distracted by my new favorite word lol, let me get to the reason why I'm here. I wasn't actually planning on participating in this event aside from liking/commenting on what the rest of y'all put out there. Then this idea came to me a couple of days ago and I thought why not? For those of you who weren't around in the tags at the time, I was quite the active blogger from May of last year up until the sequel's premiere. So I figured it would be kinda cool to share and revisit some of my anti-SR ramblings in celebration of the first season ending a week ago. 🎉

It's going on almost a year now, and still I'm so inspired and impressed by everybody and their sheer awesomeness. Be it with your insightful musings, clever theories, wildly hilarious memes, lovely fan art- you name it! There are no words to express how beyond grateful I am to all of the wonderful people I have met since the start of this all. I couldn't have survived Yashahime without each and every one of you. Seriously, you all kept me sane and laughing along the way. Lastly, I must also give a special shout-out to the friends who offered me a safe space to vent about this sequel in private or in group chats, sometimes late into the wee hours of the night. 🥰
