rewatched the scene where L calls light his first real friend ohhhh im gonna be sick
#i understand the grip these two had on ppl because like what on fucking earth.#forget doomed by the narrative try doomed by each other. a world cant exist where they both live#at the end of their game one of them has to die. and ofc we all know who that ended up being but still#theres no world where they couldve just. been together. even if light had wanted#the dynamic of L considering light both his one true friend and also the one whos murdered countless people and who hes trying to take down#vs light who doesnt seem to rlly give a shit about L until AFTER he's dead and then he has this mini realization that everyone else is#boring and L was the only one who could really give him a ''fun'' challenge#lord have mercy.
