     "      𝗮𝗻𝘆  𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁  𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲?      "     she  was  trying  not  to  put  too  much  pressure  on  herself,  like  she  had  at  the  all  valley.     that  pressure  had  gotten  the  better  of  her  then  and  she  would  refuse  to  let  it  happen  again.     not  that  she  didn’t  feel  some  pressure,  she  wanted  to  prove  herself  again  and  whatever  happened,  happened.     but  she  wanted  to  prove  to  herself  that  she  could  win  and  she  would  not  allow  herself  to  get  in  her  head  again.     getting  last  advice  from  chozen  felt  like  the  calmer  choice  than  getting  some  from  her  dad,  she  wanted  to  make  all  three  senseis  proud  and  herself  proud.     but  before  she  stepped  out  onto  the  mat,  she  knew  she  needed  to  hear  something  from  someone,      “     i  think  i’ve  got  this,  i  know  i  can  do  this,      ”

     "      𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲  𝘆𝗼𝘂  𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱  𝗮𝘁  𝗺𝗲?  𝗶  𝗮𝗺  𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲  𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁  𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲,  𝗶𝗳  𝗶  𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁  𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲  𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸,  𝗶  𝗮𝗺  𝗮𝗻  𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆  𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁  𝗮𝗻𝗱  𝗶  𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁  𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻  𝗼𝗻  𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴  𝗵𝗶𝘁,      "     mercy  bit  back,  eyes  dark  as  they  looked  over  at  sensei  toguchi’s  direction  before  dropping  their  eyes  down  and  letting  out  a  deep  breath.     they  were  used  to  tough  sensei’s  that  didn’t  make  it  easy  and  gave  harsh  critiques  about  technique,  terry  had  never  gone  easy  on  them  even  when  they  were  a  child  and  every  sensei  he  had  brought  in  to  help  them  had  been  tough  in  their  own  way,  especially  sensei  kim.     but  sensei  toguchi  was  tough  in  a  different  way.     plus  maybe  their  frustrations  were  coming  from  the  fact  that  the  miyagi - do  style  was  not  coming  as  easily  to  them  as  they  had  found  other  styles  tended  to.     hand  moves  over  their  hair,  a  thing  they  tended  to  do  when  they  were  stressed  and  just  trying  to  stay  focused.     it  didn’t  help  that  everything  they  were  being  taught  here  at  miyagi - do  felt  counter  productive  to  their  lessons  at  cobra  kai,  or  at  least  the  style  that  silver  had  taught  them  and  they  were  struggling  to  try  to  figure  out  if  there  would  be  an  possibility  for  them  to  blend  the  two  styles  together  in  some  way.     rolling  their  shoulders  and  shaking  out  their  arms,  mercy  tries  to  get  refocused,  looking  back  at  him  and  nodding  their  head,      “     fine.     i’ll  try  it  your  way,      ”     they  appreciated  him  working  with  them,  most  people  wouldn’t  and  they  still  weren’t  always  sure  where  they  stood  with  mr  larusso.     least  sensei  toguchi  was  very  direct,  even  if  he  didn’t  say  a  lot,      “     let’s  go  again,      ”
