         Sights set upon a Winterwing Butterfly, presently resting upon the should of a figure unknown. Ever silent, the  Princess of Insects  approached, moving only with startling speed once enough distance closed.      “ Oh phooey! ”      Alas; today was not the day that the beautiful butterfly would be joining her ‘ kingdom ’, noted as Agitha rapidly turned to watch the butterfly take flight, drifting higher & higher out of her reach. A blunder on her part, however, was the fact that she shifted too quickly, unintentionally  whacking  the other with her parasol in the process.     “Oops! My apologies! I didn’t hurt you, did I? ”

Their had always been rumors of dragons. Link first heard them when he went to the Faron region, and then saw Farosh for himself. That was soon followed by both Naydra and Dinraal. He was acquainted enough with the spirits, always grateful when he was blessed with a scale, claw, or shard from one of their horns. However, the dragon he saw tonight was unlike either of the three he had come to know. And Link was curious. He was no Zelda, but everyone had a bit of curiosity in them.

He started asking around in Kakariko for any information, that lead him nowhere. He purposely kept it from Zelda as he sort of wanted this to be his, and if he did find anything he wanted to show her. He wanted her to be proud of him. He asked at various stables if any of them knew anything, but came up with little to nothing.

He had returned to Hateno, and had made no progress. His curiosity was still high, but he as disheartened. He had gone to the dye shop as he had gotten a new Hylian hood and wanted to change the color of it. As he was talking to the owner, he mentioned his current predicament, and he finally had something. He was directed to a house in the village, that didn’t seem the most welcoming, and Link wasn’t about to try and figure out why. And instead of just walking in, which was very very tempting, he knocked instead, and waited to see what would happen.

“I... I feel like I shouldn’t be fighting you. This isn’t right...”

Link stares at the dragon-knight before them, freezing in place, gripping the Kokiri Sword with their calloused hands, but not lifting it above the ground. The fires of battle rage, but Link refuses to lay blade to their opponent’s body. A memory rings in their mind, one from before their childhood was taken from them. They’d made friends with a little dragon, another who was trying to understand the world just like them- and by evil’s cruel hands, the passage of time led Link to a twisted form of their friend.

(The dragon’s blood was on Link’s hands and they killed him, slew him because there was no choice. There wasn’t another way.)

Link can still hear the dragon’s cries ring out in their mind as their memories threaten to transport them elsewhere. They have to fight it, such episodes would come more often now, reminders of war- but if their instincts are true, then perhaps this will not end as it did then. They can only hold onto hope.

“Do you- remember me...?” they ask, their voice trembling, tears forming, grip loosening on their sword. Majora had followed them here, and so would the burden of memory. It all seemed too perfect, and yet they can't help but indulge the wishes of their heart. “It’s me... Link... I- I’m sorry-”

          he’d been caught,  &  the night was barely over . . .            for several nights, the warrior had been draping himself in old cloaks  &  hoods to conceal his identity, leaving the castle to explore the land as a normal hylian -- at least, as close to one as he could get. venturing far from the castle  &  close towns, a distance he thought would be safe enough that no one would immediately recognize him. just to sit  &,  mostly, observe the other patrons in the bar. 

          he’d already paid in full, leaving in a hurry without even finishing his drink, only to be stopped by . . . 

          hell’s hot for good reason,  isn’t it. of every warrior, man, beast he could run into on a night like tonight -- it’s the dragon lancer,  VOLGA. a man he’s far from good terms with, but one he respects greatly, taking a step back as the hero tilts his head up enough to look at the man.

    It’s not a thought that Noctus has given much thought to, currently, but yes. At some stage when everything settles down and he finds the right person he’d like to have children. To him it doesn’t matter if they’re biological or his own. In main!verse he is a lot stronger leaning towards adoption, and would even consider adopting a child alongside the two children he’d eventually have with his wife, Elara. This being because he’d shared all his adventures alongside Oscar and their adoptive father Rennard. So it’d be something he’d be moved towards doing. The main band of the five of them had  been a rag-tag group of found family for years, so the thought of blood isn’t largely important to Noctus.

    While there’s a degree of dependency on the partner, not really. Noctus would cater towards the more reserved side of things unless he knew for a fact their partner was alright with it. This would extend to relationships that had ended as well. So you won’t find him bad mouthing an ex-partner to any of his friends and family. Part of the reason a lot of people don’t even know that he’s dated before his current partner. Noctus is a bit more loose-lipped when he’s with someone that’s a sharer by nature, though not by much.

❝  — you know what I could do without?? ❞ Wizrro spoke out, breaking the silence between him && the dragon warrior. As the two traversed through the old forgotten valley; the one they’d dubbed home . . . well atleast wizzro had come to terms that this would be his home. for now.

or at least until something more interesting came about— hold the lashing he would endure from the dark sorceress.  Wizzro would rather NOT go through that again.

❝ y’know how you’re always going on about being honorable && whatever, while in combat?? yeah that. It’s REALLY distracting . . .  ❞ He was one to talk, with all his mad  rantings && ravings during the last few confrontations between their forces && the Hylians . . . INFACT, he was most likely more distracting than the occasional Stoic comments Volga had uttered. 

This just seemed like a ploy to get the dragons blood boiling . . . The ring certainly enjoyed doing that.

feed me your finest foods

you want to consume love. literally. to cut it up with a knife, then stab it with your fork and eat it and let it gather in your belly. to know what it feels like inside of your mouth. and your grandmother always showed it best - food is love is food is love. this is emotion, but represented in a way you understand. a way that you can relate to and, again, consume. it is temporary, but essential. we eat to live, and then we love, but that part can get confusing. but we eat, we all eat. and you might not be able to say 'i love you' in words, but if someone brings you a pie, you can cut yourself a slice and swallow it down and tell them that it tastes really good. you can make sure that they also share a slice. you can see them smile and know that they know that you know. that you did it right this time. i hope you know you're worth a love that exists for longer than the time it takes to eat something. you're worth the words, both said and heard.

        She had truly fallen low if she had to resort to begging, but what else could she do? Her sire’s blood made her a formidable weapon, true, but she was not invincible. If she would not come with those hollow creatures willingly, they would tear her apart. She had no fear of death but she did not want to die; she did not want to risk them trapping her once she resurrected.

Slowly, she fell to her knees and clasped trembling hands together on her heaving bosom. “Please... I only ask for a place to hide. The humans are a safe distance behind. If I remain here, they will pass by, but if you force me outside, they will find me.” 

She bowed her chiseled features like a praying saint. “If you do this, I will be in your debt and do anything you would ask of me. Please. I do not want to be caged.”
