Understanding dawned on him and he smiled. He gripped her arm firmly, sealing their agreement. “But just so you know, I came here to win,” he said with a confident smirk.

Aloy gave him a feral grin. “So did I.”

Instead of being made an outcast, Aloy is taken in as The Child of the Mountain. She's still as lonely as ever even if she is revered by the Nora. But she is determined to lead a different life than the one she's been given. And she's well on her way until a decision is made that will throw her plan in disarray.

Now she's got to not only win the Proving, she'll have to beat the winner of the challenge to keep her freedom.

This is my companion piece for my first ever @horizonbigbang !

The Midsummer Masquerade by zyikic

Aloy returns to Meridian at the height of the Carja Summer Sun Celebration, only to be informed by Marad that all is not as it seems. If Aloy is to retain the Sundom's help against the future threat of Nemesis she will need to brace the Midsummer Masquerade and the politics wherein to discover the secrets of the realm and save Avad.

I took part in the @horizonbigbang and its been an absolute blast. First BB too!

The adoration for the fic Zy has written knows NO BOUNDS please please read it it is SO GOOD. I shall be yelling for years. so don't be surprised if I add to this collection along the way.

Gradually, through his tinkering, he became aware of voices filtering through from the main communal area. Sylens did not often feel the need to go there, but he could imagine them, sitting around one of the ‘homely’ accessories which Zo had dragged in, talking, discussing, and getting nothing done.

It will be years before he realizes the two aren't unrelated.

My contribution to @horizonbigbang! These cuffs are inspired by the AMAZING buffalochip's fanfic, First Spark: Hidden Ember is holding its first Oseram Festival, First Spark! New inventions are celebrated with three days of demonstrations, dancing, shows and drinking. It's also said that lovers who profess their devotion to one another during First Spark will have a long and happy life together—and it looks like Morlund is going to make his own move on Aloy! Will Erend be able to stand by and watch the love of his life be wooed by another man? The cuffs are made with wire-wrapped "greenshine" and "bluegleam" crystals and beads attached to leather straps. I had so much fun making them, and I'm definitely planning to make more for my Etsy shop, too!
