Small update: A CPF fansite, tongmou, that has been inactive since September 2022 recently resurfaced to upload photos of ZSJ's Bangkok concert. Allegedly the account was bought and according to QV (have no idea how she knows about this) they offered "six figures" for it (had to look this up to know what this means 😂)
If you're new to c-ent shenanigans this basically means the real tongmou must have decided to discontinue the fansite (probably unstanned or felt it was no longer profitable enough to keep), then somebody offered money to buy it and she accepted. Big fandom accounts getting bought (often for not so good motives) is really a thing that happens in c-ent fandoms, not just in ours.
What's interesting is that the Bangkok concert photos the account uploaded were censored by weibo.
Tumblr media
But the old photos of ZZH (the actual ZZH) in the account are still intact. Weirdly enough this has been happening for a while now on weibo. Photos of ZSJ have a pretty good chance of getting nuked (especially if uploaded by a big account) but ZZH's old photos stay up.
2nd update:
So GJ walked at the Cannes red carpet, looked really good, etc etc, and naturally since c-ent is such an unbearable dumpsterfire of a hellscape where all things good and pure come to die, there was quite a bit of drama online about it. An older lady who happens to have quite a bit of clout in c-ent posted an unflattering photo of GJ on her weibo. People think she did it on purpose (I think so too. She also posted photos of other stars and only GJ got that treatment). So antis etc used that as an opportunity to smear GJ, claiming all photos of him from Cannes were filtered to make him look better than he actually is (apparently, even Ghetty Images and every single photographer in the event are now under the command of the all powerful GJ) and it was basically just your typical braindead c-ent drama. Not really worth getting angry over and honestly the unflattering photo wasn't even bad at all, just that GJ was caught mid-blink.
The interesting bit is that ZSJ fans immediately fawned over this older lady. As QV pointed out, you can only comment on her posts seven days after following her. The whole issue with the photo followed by a wave of hate against GJ plus a hotsearch happened on May 18. We can't comment even if we wanted to because seven days have not yet passed, and yet all those ZSJ "fans" have already flocked to her comments and hyping her up. So were they all already following this woman nobody gives two shits about even before all this? Was her causing trouble for GJ already planned beforehand in collaboration with ZSJ shills? Because it sure looks like it.
At least with this we now know which accounts are probably not ordinary fans, but people who have a much deeper connection with the ZSJ scam and get directives on what to do. But as for what that woman's deal is, I have no idea. A quick scroll through her account though shows she's not as "above" fandom as she claims she is, and I've seen enough to know that no matter how old she is, no matter who her parents are and her claim to pedigree, she can still be just another weirdo in a parasocial relationship with her fave. It's just that the more powerful and well-connected weirdoes have the capacity to do much more unhinged shit compared to the rest of us.

GJ and ZZH Updates — January 28-February 3
previous week || all posts || following post
This is part of a weekly series collecting updates from and relating to Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan.
This post is not wholly comprehensive and is intended as an overview, links provided lead to further details. Dates are in accordance with China Standard Time, the organization is chronological. My own biases on some things are reflected here. Anything I include that is not concretely known is indicated as such, and you’re welcome to do your own research and draw your own conclusions as you see fit. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or additions. :)
[Glossary of names and terms] [Masterlist of my posts about the situation with Zhang Zhehan]
01-28 → Nothing of note.
01-29 → 361° posted two photo ads featuring Gong Jun.
01-30 → L'Oreal posted a promotional video spoken by Gong Jun.
→ BEAST posted a commercial featuring Gong Jun. (1129 kadian)
→ Gong Jun Outdoor Office posted a behind the scenes video from Gong Jun's shoot with BEAST. Caption: "Whose eyes are locked on yours?"
→ The Instagram posted a video of "Zhang Zhehan".
→ Gong Jun's studio posted a behind the scenes video from the same shoot. Caption: "The flowers are in full bloom and the gold is flowing. @ Gong Jun Simon presents auspicious spring colours in the garden, and everything welcomes the new year."
→ Vogue posted a photo of Gong Jun.
01-31 → 361° posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ Gong Jun posted a photo from the BEAST shoot to his Instagram. Caption: "Bright love from BEAST."
→ Fresh posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ The Instagram posted two photos of "Zhang Zhehan".
→ Not directly related to anything, but a good comparative: A couple convicted in 2021 for the of the deaths of two toddlers were executed. Immediately following the execution, the mother of the toddlers posted a video where she talked about receiving online harassment because of the case for the last three years, stating that she had maintained her silence for sake of not interfering in the trial, and that she will now be suing those responsible for the cyberviolence.
02-01 → Gong Jun posted six miscellaneous photos. Caption: "Photos taken casually." Fan Observation: The first among these has become the latest photos that people are comparing silhouettes to, owing to the ear in it looking distinctly larger than Gong Jun's.
Tumblr media
→ PRSR posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun.
→ Gong Jun reposted a post announcing the premiere of My Special Girl, which stars Song Yiren whom he costarred with in Flavour It's Yours.
02-02 → The scam released another song.
→ The BL drama The Spirealm (aka Kaleidoscope of Death) was suddenly released on streaming platforms only to be pulled shortly thereafter due to competition interference. #There's a light on you, I want to catch it and see#, the line from Word of Honor, appeared on Weibo hotsearch in connection to the show including the first half of the line in one of its episodes; the hotsearch was likely bought to draw attention to the show, and the original novel does not include any line similar to this. Whalers tried to post photos of Zhang Sanjian to the tag; these were reported down en masse by CPFs, who then flooded the tag with positive content.
→ Zhang Sanjian wandered conspicuously around an airport again, this time in a knock-off of the Alexander McQueen suit Zhang Zhehan wore to the 2021 Weibo Night awards. A reminder that even if it wasn't hilariously obvious that it's not the same suit, designer outfits worn by celebrities are almost always rented for single events.
→ China Literary Art and Volunteers posted a video featuring Gong Jun giving New Years well wishes.
02-03 → Gong Jun's studio posted four behind the scenes photos from the vampire-themed photoshoot back in November. Caption: "Behind-the-scenes footage dropped~ @ Gong Jun Simon Open your eyes + close your eyes = super bright eyes 📸"
Tumblr media
→ Rare posted a photo ad featuring Gong Jun. (1129 kadian)
→ Gong Jun posted a commercial for Fresh to his Instagram.

Yibo came back for the ONO Beijing Roadshow today and mentioned how when he was sick he surfed the net. (©WYBSG)
"Many of you expressed concern regarding my health. I surfed the internet when I was sick. it was quite fascinating."
Lmao I love his sense of humour and how he deals with trolls and yxh.
(To those who don't know yibo was sick the last two days and took a leave from work—probably the first time in my years of stanning him did he do that. Anyway antis wasted no time and started spreading disgusting rumours about his leave of absence to such an extent that there were 10 hotsearches just filled with hatred and lies.)

Lost You Forever S2 - A complete waste
Even though the s1 was such a gem in the Chinese adaptation dramas. Love-lines messed up, out of character on a large scale. After all, I don’t know what Tonghua - the script writer AND the AUTHOR of the original book - was thinking. She makes her heroine be some kind of a two timer, going push and pull with Bei in the morning and crying about how hard she feels to forget Jing in the afternoon. Why 🙂 we all know you are single now, XY, but we don’t need that trait from a heroine, right?
As if it would stop right there. A great deal of scenes were added to prove her situation-ship. She wears red wedding gown waiting at the Dragon Bone prison - where she and Jing promised to be together, claiming me wait for nothing (now starts the add-on) but her eyes brighten when she sees snow (means Liu is nearby). Girl, again you were crying over Jing the other day. Anddddd next, our Liu, unexpectedly (but somehow not that unexpectedly) appears on the screen, with a dashing, non-existent-in-the-novel red wedding gown, hands holding the goodbye-im-getting-married gift from Xiaoyao, looks so sad 😬 dude, are the daily demands of a general not heavy enough for you? you have time to hang out with XY in 2 different countries and now you just stand still gazing afar on the ocean???
And the trip to see XY's mom and bio dad. Gosh, originally only Haoling King, XY and Jing went. Now it is like a fellowship of the ring with even Cangxuan and Liu going. Jing, who was introduced to XY’s mom as the fiancé of XY, on his knees before her mom to show respect and gained her approval. In the drama funny thing he’s the only one who was not on his knees. well he doesn’t even get the chance to meet the mom before she dies. And Jing and XY, who want to kill the bug so much, don’t even think to ask the magicians (masters of bugs) when they are in the hood as they did in the novel. Well, let Liu-sama, appearing from nowhere, take care of this task.
And, the plot that Cangxuan is boss in the Jing assassination and all of its following developments, have been written as some kind of hallucination former Xiyan King created for him so he knows when to stop his hidden desire for XY 🤣 the boss now is his queen Xinyue, who is jealous and greedy but not a moron. Someone who cannot beat the power of Tushan-Xiling clans, now has the audacity and assets to support Tushan Hou in setting a trap and kill Jing - her own beloved first cousin. Funny, Tonghua.
And so so many scenes added/removed. I think most people in China who were fans of the novel and s1 are so mad when at least 3 main characters (Xiaoyao, Cangxuan, Jing) are so nerf and OOC that the views go down, like, to the hell compared with s1, which is tbh beyond every bloggers’ forecast. even fasttrack (the release of 6 final eps for those paying) cannot save the view. The hotsearch “ill adaptation - LYF” on Weibo (Chinese social media) is on, showing great disappointment of the fans.
Such a shame with those casting. All I have to say, capitalism is scary with its star boosting scheme 😅

Counterexample - Tims who was beaten badly by a "legendary" hand
Tumblr media
After entering China, they lost themselves step by step: selling the so-called "Starbucks' second home", selling "MANNER's   HE Tuber  simplicity"; selling "Pinduoduo's three-person assistance"; selling "Luckin's cost-effectiveness"; selling " "Nova's products are combined with fruits, oat milk, and various beverages"; it sells "do as the Romans do; it sells e-sports cross-border; ..."; it only does not sell itself, nor does it sell innovation.
The dual micro and private domain operations are even more lackluster. There is a buy-one-get-one-free membership day discount, which is quite good for primary school students.
What a pity "North American Legend"! For more information, please see Jincuodao's article "Being beaten by Starbucks and Luckin, with a huge loss of 600 million in 3 years, can Tims turn around?" 》.
 Motivational Thinking - Labeled Love
We are moving from an era of homogeneous needs, single perception, and single-dimensional desires to a new world of material desires where everything can flow and multi-dimensional flows and identities drift. Every time you consume and jointly build a new world of mutual exploration. What this requires is the stimulation of motivation, not the strengthening of selling points.
Motivational thinking rather than seller thinking
"Gift melatonin as a gift", "Drink Wanglaoji if you are afraid of getting angry", "Drink Red Bull/Dongpeng special drink when you are sleepy and tired", "0 sucrose vitality forest", these are all typical sellers' thinking (not that they are invalid) .
The seller's thinking is a one-sided entity. You cannot talk too much about core positioning, advertising slogans, and functional selling points. If you talk too much, you will not be concentrated or focused. This is suitable for old businesses, traditional markets, authoritative media, and eye-catchingof new coffee consumption - high-tech people and Generation Z: They examine the meaning of consumption, not just "owning and obtaining", but also value emotional satisfaction, life witnessing, self-construction, etc.; at the same time, their infinitely segmented lifestyles, The emphasis on edge, fast and discrete moving debris scenarios inevitably requireszto success.
After gaining high awareness in a blitzkrieg style, they continued to put on different labels to tell various stories:
capital, crowd, original intention, dream, price, origin, master, quality, digital, convenience, joint brand, light food, social Group, scene…
Although many tags are short-lived, if enough people use a tag, it really does live up to what Obi-Wan said in Star Wars:These "screams" include: #Toutiao's information is looking for people#, #hotsearch rankings#, #social e-commerce's goods are looking for people#, etc.
Early tags were a way to classify the population; the integration of e-commerce and big data allows the platform to classify ' interest tags and brand preference tags through ' purchase records, collections, browsing behaviors and other data, thus Launch more accurate products, customized services and personalized recommendations.
For example, label "low-price coffee" with #Youth's First Cup#, #StudentCoffee#, #RoboCoffee#, etc. for user labeling.
In the new social era, we can label ourselves according to our interests, hobbies, living habits and values. Through labels, we can connect with the people we want, find our own interests and hobbies, create tribes, and build groups.
further, from the perspective of a new consumer coffee brand, it should be composed of countless labels: nature/nurture, founder/employee, concept/attitude, lifestyle/culture, personality/personality, friend/enemy, love/ Disgust and so on. The combination of various tags will allow people with different worldviews to establish connections and common ground in specific tags.
At the same time, this will also allow us to stand out among thousands of choices, attract new supporters, and create new social circles and market opportunities.
It is worth noting that cross-border co-branding is also an effective labeling game. The recent joint branding between Heytea and FENDI is a textbook labeling operation.

The second one is an Army Twitter quote. If we talking about Bogum romantic poetry towards Taehyung it was his caption for their 27s Jeju Vlog to me: “May our everyday be the most beautiful moment in life.” Bogum is a Christian and their Jeju trip was on Easter Day, instead of spending time with his family he went on a trip with Taehyung. Taekookers kept talking about Bogum being the second choice back then, but the fact that Taehyung and Bogum find a way in their super packed schedule, 1 being an idol and 1 an actor, they are the winner with no excuse. A month oversea schedule and the first thing Taehyung did right after he came back to Korea was packing his suitcase to go on a Jeju getaway with Bogum. Although rumors with a lot of female celebs, Taehyung rumor with Bogum was so consistent from 2017 to 2019. Rumors around Bogum was very weird too like there was a random guy on Reddit who said he met Bogum and his mysterious famous boyfriend in a gay club (January 2016). The anal fissure rumor (August 2019) which point out exactly PBG name at midnight, and the Chinese V’s sasaeng said Bogum is bisexual and persuing Taehyung which led to their name on Weibo Naver hotsearch was so odd too 😭. I think they are the only both A list male-male celeb couple got this kind of rumor without crazy shipdom.
A lot of Chinese fans kept saying they heard from Korea sources Taegum are/were ? dating. Can be bullshit, but that 2019 rumor really got me thinking a lot everytime I saw them together 😂 That was the rumor made me interested in the Taegum World :))
Anal fissure would be right, but I believe it said anal prolapse💀. Yes, it was rather memorable...
Could the silence after 2019, which is when Bogum enlisted, have something to do with our conversation about relationships ending due to military service?🤔Just throwing it out there.
Also to the anon who was asking about Taegum rumors and Chinese stans, here you go, I guess. Anon was kind enough summarize.

Weibo taking down ZSJ pics but not pics of the real ZZH is very interesting. Has this been happening for a while now?
Since the Bangkok concert. It all started after that warning weibo posted about ticketing and concert scams. After that, ZSJ photos from the Bangkok concert were censored and even non-concert photos of ZSJ were included. Note that the concert was on May 10 and ZZH's birthday, May 11, and fans were posting greetings for him on weibo. Posts from a lot of ZSJ fans were getting nuked while posts from CPFs were safe. And the only real difference was that ZSJ fans used ZSJ pics in their posts while CPFs used only ZZH's photos. (Here's what censored photos look like. This is that evil hag Xie Yihua's "birthday greeting" btw)
Aside from that, weibo also suppresses any mention of ZSJ on hotsearch for some reason. Whenever ZSJ (or rather, the people behind him) attemps to get on hotsearch, weibo nukes the tag within seconds. The tag usually makes it to hotsearch for at most a minute or two before it gets quietly yeeted into oblivion. Then the tag itself gets cleared out, as in when you type out the tag you can't see any of the posts in it anymore even if the posts themselves still exist and are viewable on the original poster's profile. The tag from their last attempt straight up said it got removed for the violation of laws.
It's a little confusing because it looks like weibo is protecting ZZH to some degree and yet we all know how corrupt that platform is and how it's essentially the playground of corrupt capital and industry bigwigs, including the ones behind 813. So a lot of us suspect that the government is involved because who else can overpower them?
