There are four peat free compost products in the Nurture range to meet all your gardening needs. Each product in the range has its own special plant feed blend to deliver against the promise:

PLANT HEALTH. For seeds, cuttings & bulbs to develop strong roots for plant health.

PLANT GROWTH. For growing plants to have up to 6 months of slow release feed.

PLANT HYDRATION. For mature plants, so they will need less watering.

Sitting at the heart of our compost block is the Powerfeed Technology. A tablet that dissolves over time in the compost and is made up of our tried & tested feed mix, plus specially selected additives, that helps with seed & plant growth and health. We include a base load of feed in all our product variants that delivers a minimum of 6 weeks of nutrients for your plants. Beyond this base load, we add even more in "Specially Nurtured" range:

"Plant Health" has Perlite for the development & growth of roots

"Plant Growth" has an additional 6 months of slow release feed

"Plant Hydration" has Vermiculite for additional water retention

Extra information about Nurture:

Each Nurture block makes up to 3 litres of compost, enough for up to 6x 9cm pots or 3x 13cm pots or 1x 19cm pot.

The Nurture block weighs approx. 230 grams, is peat free and has a pH Value that is neutral between 5.5 and 6.8.

Nurture is suitable for a wide range of plants apart from lime hating, ericaceous plants.

Store Nurture in a cool, dry place. Store dry blocks away from garden chemicals. Last up to 9 months when hydrated.

The most perfect Philodendron Pink Princess!! Who else has a Pink Princess with split pink leaves? I have mentioned in an earlier post that I'm after a really nice Pink Princess. Well Ive just been to visit @francypants78 to see this stunning leaf that has just unfurled. So yes, now I am begging for a cutting but I doubt that'll happen for a very long time!! 😅 So yes, if anyone in Perth Australia sees a Princess like for sale please let me know 😁 Like with most philos. Keep the humidity above 50% and give plenty of indirect light. If you don't give these guys enough light they will start to lose their pink. But not direct sun though as this will scorch the leaves. I like to let the soil almost dry before watering. If you do notice the leaves losing all their pink, sometimes cutting the plant back to its last pink leaf can help. Then increase the light it has been receiving and you should get more pink leaves. I have two leaves 🌱 unfurling on my Monstera deliciosa. 🥳 That is my favorite word this week- unfurling. Whether for ferns 🌿 or monsteras, it applies. The curled leaves are unrolling. They will turn a darker green 💚 as they receive more light. ☀️ Picture #3 shows my Monstera adansonii with part of the leaf darker as it has been in the light longer than the rest of the leaf. As always, my plants amaze me everyday. That is the best part of growing plants- every day is different. I got my succulents in the mail, and my son is obsessed with them! He blows them kisses and calls them his friends. It’s so cute, but I really wish my son had more interaction with kids his age. Covid has messed everything up. Anyway, I signed up to get two little succulents a month. Luckily my storage room is really sunny (they need direct sun). I’m going to try to clear it out so I have more room for plants! I love plants so much, and I’m going to try to fill my house with them as my son gets older. He needs be old enough to know not to dig in the soil or try to eat them lol. Anyway, my little succulents made my day! My wild child #hoyapubicalyx on this snowy #earthday 🌍 All attempts 'guide' this one to grow the way I want has been futile. Since the arrival of Spring, my hoya pubicalyx has been tendriling like craaa-zy. The vines circle round and around, till it finds something to climb on. For now, it has taken a liking to my desk lamp. New additions to the plant family. There is a business in town that has been growing a rubber tree in the ground since the early 70s. This tree is MASSIVE! The husband and I stopped to look at it. I was in awe, he also had a 50 year old double ponytail palm pushing out of its planter as well! He had propagations all over the sitting area, told me I could pick anyone for $20, the cost to cover soil and planter. So here they are. They were in one pot and leaning over. Looking for a beautiful houseplant with amazing patterns that is very easy to care for? Then the Scindapsus Pictus is the plant for you. They are also known as the Satin Pothos and Silver Pothos amongst other names. These can be grown up a pole or great for a hanging basket. It grows really quick and can tolerate a wide range on conditions. The two things they won't tolerate though is the cold weather, so keep them indoors, also wet soggy soil. While this plant prefers high humidity, I literally have this sitting under my air-conditioner with all that harsh dry heat blowing straight on it and it still thrives. I only water it once the plant is bone dry and not a single brown leaf anywhere. Though it's best to keep the soil slightly moist. And it's very easy to propagate. Once a month or so I chop it up and make cuttings from it. I will be covering how I propagate these in a later video. Also, give these guys bright indirect to thrive.
