BACKGROUND:

born to meredith quill, his life was pretty normal for the most part. from a young age he was interested in sci-fi movies and after a trip to an amusement park, it was decided that he wanted to become an astronaut one day. while his life was pretty normal, quill had a tendency to be bullied and fought back, often resulting in a lot of bruises and injuries. then came the day his entire life changed. washing up for dinner after getting into it with another bully, two badoon aliens arrived and killed his mother in a vow to end the spartoi bloodline. when peter came into the kitchen and saw the aliens and his mother dead. he ran away and found a shot gun and two other devices. using the shot gun to kill the aliens, peter ran outside with the two odd looking objects he had found and was then abducted by yondu and the ravagers. 

growing up under yondu and the ravagers, peter learned how to be a thief and mastered the objects he had taken from the closet in his panic. eventually he had found out they were known as quad blasters and they only activated to his dna signature. he learned to live more for himself than anyone else, often choosing more selfish actions and doing as he pleased. 

taking the name star-lord, a nickname his mother had given to him. he built up a reputation for himself and eventually decided to betray the ravagers and take a job to steal an orb for himself. this leads him down the journey where he meets gamora, drax, groot, and rocket and the events of gotg 1 transpire. they find they have possession of an infinity stone and stand against ronan to save xandar. the group become known as the guardians of the galaxy and continue on together, saving the galaxy. or sort of saving the galaxy.

down the line he meets his father, j’son. a man that is emperor of spartax and an extremely corrupt person. his father wanted peter to rule beside him as prince of spartax with peter refusing. not too long after the two parted on bad terms, quill was captured by people working for his father in order for him to not only rule by his side, but to pay for crimes against the spartoi empire. peter managed to escape and broadcast to the entire planet how corrupt his father was and it incited a rebellion. his father fled and eventually took on the alias of mister knife in order to get revenge for what his son had done.

without his father ruling spartax, the job fell to quill. he refused to take on the job and instead handed it over to his half sister, victoria. quill didn’t want to rule an empire, he only wished to travel the galaxy and protect it with the guardians. 

when he learned about the academy, he couldn’t resist. terrans needed to know about the dangers in the galaxy and what better way to go about it than coming to the academy. 

powers and abilities:

human/spartoi physiology: he has a few superhuman abilities and is more durable than most humans due to his alien dna. quill also has longevity from this dna as spartoi live three times as long as normal humans do. due to his hybrid nature it’s unsure how he will age, but it is assumed to be at a decelerated rate. 

expert marksman: is able to use any firearm in the galaxy with expertise, though his quad blasters remain his favorite.

martial arts: skilled in many forms of fighting and an expert hand-to-hand combatant.

expert pilot: extremely skilled in piloting ships.

not a headcanon but actually canon, there was a time in his life where peter was trying to stop the fallen one, and came to the realization that the energy of destroyed planets would harm him. in order to save the rest of the galaxy, peter made the choice to sacrifice a kree lunar colony (35,000 lives) in order to stop him. according to the nova corps, peter is considered to be a local threat level as he’s amassed a count of over 350,000 murders. 

he’s not a complete idiot all the time. while his plans can definitely seem out there and weird, he really is a talented tactician and strategist. 

tends to get overwhelmed by emotions at times. more often than not he bases things off of his emotions rather than his head, especially when they’re personal.

We’re thrilled to have BOBBY DRAKE, also known as ICEMAN, join us as FACULTY of the Academy, to teach MATHEMATICS & POWER MASTERY! They look at lot like JUSTIN BALDONI and are 31, going by HE/HIM. They’re said to be OUTGOING and are capable of CYROKINESIS.

biography: 

IN THE PAST:

Bobby is a native New Yorker from Long Island. His mutation first manifested while he was on a date with his girlfriend Judy Harmon, and a school bully attempted to attack them. Bobby panicked and accidentally encased the bully in a block of ice. 

An angry mob believing Bobby was dangerous showed up at his home, and Bobby was taken into police custody for his own protection. The incident made local news, causing Professor Charles Xavier to notice and send Scott Summers to recruit Bobby. 

Bobby was part of the inaugural class of The Xavier Institute, and while Hank McCoy remains his closest friend to this day, he’s maintained close relationships with Scott, Warren, and Jean as well. They are all his best friends.

For many years, Bobby fought alongside the X-Men against Magneto’s ‘Brotherhood’. 

Bobby branched out from the X-Men after deciding to attend UCLA for college. There, he fought alongside a team called the ‘Champions’. It was a pretty short-lived alliance, but impactful nonetheless. 

When the Champions disbanded, Bobby lacked a steady allegiance for a while, filtering between other teams and teaming up with individual heroes. 

During this time, Bobby met his time-displaced younger self, which finally gave him the push he needed to come out as gay. After this experience, he returned to The Xavier Institute to teach classes and focus on himself. 

CURRENTLY:

Bobby currently teaches mathematics and power mastery at The Academy and likely has since its inception. He’s definitely not a certifiable math genius like some other people on staff, so he probably teaches lower-level classes. 

He still considers himself to be a member of the X-Men, and they are the only team he claims formal allegiance to. 

Bobby has recently been dumped by his long-time boyfriend Judah due to their conflicting civilian/hero lifestyles.

okay so johnny was born to franklin and mary storm. he was their only son and their younger child ( oldest was susan aka sue aka invisble woman )

him and his sister lived chill lives until around 16 when he went on spaceship with his sister, his sister’s boyfriend aka reed richards and his sister’s boyfriend’s best friend benjamin “ben” grimm

then they got exposed to cosmic rays and they all got powers. johnny got the power to fly, become fire and throw fireballs etc etc

i won’t do too much on ff history because i don’t want to godmod so i’ll wait to hash out the finer details

johnny is pretty fun guy. doesn’t take himself too seriously. doesn’t take life too seriously

so if you want a teacher for a good time call him

but he also takes his classes really seriously. so only joke when he wants to. if you want to joke when he doesn’t you’re in trouble.

he’s a very talented mechanic. it’s comic canon that the guy loves cars and he fixes them too. hence why he teaches mechanics. he’s not tony/bruce/reed level smart but he’s a lot smarter than people think he is.

he also teaches power control. only basic level because that’s all he trusts himself with it.

powers and abilities: so his main power is pyrokinsesis and pyrogenesis. now that is the power to control fire and the ability to transform some or his whole body on fire. he can sometimes get as hot as the sun but that requires a lot of concentration and he’ll need to rest for a week. this is called the nova flame. he can also fly and also use fire to throw fireballs etc to cause damage. i also mentioned him being a talented mechanic. he’s also got experience in race car driving.

background:

biography: when steve settled down with a woman he met and fell in love with named amelia,  the pair had four children -- two older children and one set of twins, with mia being the youngest of the pair and of them all. post-endgame, steve went back in time to return the stones but never returned and was presumed dead. not long after this, amelia passed in a car accident. mia was five years old at the time. left orphaned from the loss of their parents, the four kids were adopted by bucky barnes and natasha romanoff.

she doesn’t remember much about her parents, because she was so young, but she still loves them nonetheless and grew up with stories of them. aside from the loss of her mother and father, she had a good childhood and overall good life. she was taught various forms of self defense just to be on the side of caution, but otherwise, things were pretty normal. before his death, steve did a good job of keeping his children out of the spotlight, and natasha and bucky made sure to honor that by carrying that on as the kids grew up. she was also taught ballet by natasha at a young age.

after graduating high school, mia got into a school for the arts. she mainly focused on her own paintings, but she was apart of some dance classes on the side as well. knowing her father’s passion for drawing, her own artwork makes her feel connected to him still, somehow.

personality: mia is a very sweet and soft spoken girl. she keeps to herself for the most part, but is still quite friendly if you reach out to her. she doesn’t like conflict, barely even likes the fighting aspect of becoming a hero, but she also knows she has to. 

powers and abilities: artificially enhanced physiology, like steve. a regenerative healing factor. natasha and bucky also taught her various forms of self defense and combat, just in case, but she never dabbled much in weaponry like they did. what have they brought with them to this universe/timeline: sketchbooks and copic markers, far too many bags of makeup and makeup utensils, an ipad she uses for digital drawing and a stylus, her cat named molly and her ballet slippers.

BACKGROUND:

biography:

❧ Dakota is the firstborn child of four born to mutants Mystique and Beast. Known to their friends as Raven Darkholme and Doctor Hank McCoy, the pair’s love for one another was unlike anything that Charles Xavier and his mutants had ever seen before. With everything they had overcome together fighting to protect their world on numerous occasions, as the next generation began to grow up and take a bigger part in protecting people, they decided it was time to settle down. Raven, pursuing a career in social work in order to save children who were in the foster care system, and keep an eye out for any young mutants. Dr.Hank McCoy although he was a doctor, mainly focused on being the caregiver for the students at the school. Eventually, they both wed and shortly after had Dakota who was one of the most loved children on the compound.

❧ She grew up mainly on the compound but once she was old enough she began to attend school at a local public school allowing her to make friends. It wasn’t like people didn’t know mutants existed. They just didn’t know that she was part of a family of them.

❧ Her powers really began to show themselves when she was around 6 or 7 years old while playing hide and seek with some students at Charles Xavier’s School and shapeshifted into another student to avoid being found. Her parents only figured it out because when they began talking to who they thought was Scott Summers, he giggled at them and asked if he’d “won hide and seek”.

❧ Unfortunately, because she had to constantly hide her powers she became oddly wary of people, holding them at arm’s length in order to protect them, herself, and most importantly, her family. There didn’t seem to be any immediate repercussions for someone finding out, but she would never take the chance because she didn’t want to be the reason that mutants had to hide away who they really were.

❧ By age 10 she was able to copy voices, but not for very long and every year as she got older her abilities got better, as she’d practice with her mother, while also working on agility and strength training, and her father educating her on medicine when he had the chance. When she went away to school at NYU she focused on Criminal Justice with a minor in Biology and Forensic Chemistry, hoping one day to work as a CSI. Those chances were interrupted by Dr.Strange bringing her to the Academy.

powers and abilities:

❧shape-shifting: Gives her the ability to change her body, in size, shape, race, and gender to match another. She can mimic their voices easily, and convince most that she is in fact who she is impersonating. Her natural skin tone is blue just like her mother’s, and some say that she subconsciously shifted as a baby to look and have the appearance of a normal child. That being said before she shifts she must change to her actual body to the one that she is attempting to copy. There is no difference in her natural appearance versus the one she uses regularly- her skin just isn’t blue.

❧ healing: If she were to be injured her body can almost always heal itself a lot quicker, almost at an alarming speed. While the injuries still hurt just like anyone else, her body reacts to them a lot better and faster than the average human. Serious injuries such as losing a lib or shattering several bones will take time and energy to heal but they will heal in a few days unlike the weeks or months it would take someone without her abilities.

After the events of Age of Ultron, and following the devastating loss of her brother, Pietro, Wanda fled to the Greek isle of Santorini. Having seen the damage her powers could do, and being forced to to process the loss of her best friend and home country all in one swoop, she found solitude in a tiny cottage on the highest hills of Santorini. And that, that tiny, beautiful cottage hidden behind spells and illusions was where Celestia Pietra Maximoff was brought into this world. 


With the help of Hekate (or Auntie Kate, to Celestia), Celestia and her mother lived untouched by the outside world. After all, Wanda had seen the worst of humanity, and swore the moment she had found out about Celestia that her child would remain clean from their dirty, greedy hands. The bad people of the world who collected powerful people like trading cards. Shoving them in glass boxes and watching them become whatever they were told to become. BACKGROUND:

Powers and Abilities: Bennett struggles with anger issues inherited from his father. The Hulk genes are dormant within his body which means despite the familiar green eyes and patches of green that can be seen on his skin when he gets too angry or frustrated, until he actually triggers the gene by entirely losing control or finding himself caught in a situation that causes a severe spike of adrenaline, he doesn't have any abilities beyond his genius IQ.

If they are a child, what have they brought with them to this universe/timeline: His glasses. The frames originally belonged to Bruce but when he discovered he needed glasses he decided he liked them so Bruce had the lenses replaced to fit his prescription, which hasn't changed since. He was also wearing one of Bruce's sweaters when he was taken. He's now terrified of damaging it so he only wears it when he is sad. The pen from Betty's university that he was using to study with when Strange appeared. It's out of ink now but he keeps it on his desk. A flash drive full of family photos and videos. The only thing he actively sought out to bring with him before leaving.

The smartwatch created by Tony Stark to monitor his vitals and alert him when his heart rate begins to climb. He never takes it off. Headcanons: In an attempt to control his rage he would study with Bruce every morning as a child, spending hours learning which techniques worked for him and how best to utilise them. He eats entirely plant-based and does his best to avoid stimulants such as caffeine. He also wakes up early every morning for yoga. He is not an early riser and absolutely hates doing so but recognises the routine helps him to manage his issues. Tony Stark was a close family friend and he came to know the man as Uncle Tony. He spent entire weekends with him when his parents needed a sitter, and came to discover his love of engineering by helping him in his lab or garage whenever he was able to.

Science is his favourite subject. He is more than adept when it comes to physics and chemistry, but is also a very talented engineer. He is currently dating Celestia, a childhood friend who he is very much in love with.

biography: 

born to frank castle and karen page, ezra castle learned quickly how to distinguish between the good and the bad around him. 

but, unlike his father, he adapted more of his mother’s qualities. 

to him, she seemed like a chameleon. able to melt into the walls and disappear and, a moment later, able to shout from the rooftops to get everyone’s attention.

he watched and observed her as she watched and observed others. 

then he did the same.  

melting in and out of the shadows, ezra watched, he listened, he asked the right questions, and he wrote down the answers. 

in school, normal school, that is, he was an outsider. partially his own doing, partially that last name that carried around a weight so much heavier than two syllables should be able to. 

‘are you that ezra castle? the one whose dad is like-”

yes, he always said. he’d gotten so used to the fear on the other person’s face when he said that.

BACKGROUND:

biography: 

eira is the first born daughter of the asgardian god of thunder, thor odinson, and astrophysicist, jane foster from her part of the multiverse. as astonishing as that may sound, she’d never distinguished herself much from those around her. her parents had decided when she was a baby that the best thing for her was to be raised on earth, in a normal town and attending school with other children. it was, for most parts, a simple human life. her parents wanted to teach her humility, and for her to work hard for her own goals and decide what she wanted in life – things thor didn’t get to have, with the weight of a throne and the realms on his shoulders.

they were proven successful, if she could say so herself. eira has a big heart, caring deeply for those around her even if they don’t always warrant it. she grew up a free spirit, seeking fun and adventure without the burdens of royal lineage – though she was aware of them. in her summers, she went to the new asgard on earth with her father and learned what customs remained of the people – and a few moves from valkyrie when she could talk her into it.

of course, her easy-going life came with sacrifice. despite thor abdicating the asgardian throne, he was still considered the protector of the nine realms – a feat that kept him busy. her parents had an on and off relationship when the constant distance grew to be too much, and eira was primarily raised by her mother. there was a slight lack of consistency in her life, as well her constant feeling that she should be doing more and helping people – a feeling that eventually gave her the drive to make it through medical school.

electrokinesis: although eira hasn’t quite been able to summon a bolt of lightning from the sky or raging storms like her father, she has found that she can generate and manipulate electrical energy to some extent on her own. the limits of this have not yet been tested.

mjölnir: the weapon in her timeline was eventually recovered, even used by her mother at one point. eira initially hesitated at the idea of coming to this alternate timeline, unsure that she could really bring much to the table compared to others. but it was proposed to her that if she could lift the hammer, she should go. never one to back away from a challenge, she shocked herself by lifting it with relative ease – though she hasn’t really figured out why.

hello ! i’m really on brand with the whole posting a day and a half later ! below the cut in no particular order are a collection of four people who populate autumn valley ! they’re not very long because i’m still fleshing them out but i’ve added a couple of wanted connections below all of them that will hopefully be some good jumping off points for deeper connections & help build out their stories a little bit !

she was a relatively mediocre student throughout school but mae always understood the importance of a good hustle and has always had at least two side hustles running. 

when she was a sophomore in high school, she got in trouble for selling canned soda a dollar cheaper than the vending machines. when she was a junior she had graduated to selling whatever fad pyramid scheme her mother had gotten involved in. 

they were never particularly wealthy, which might also contribute to why mae always wanted to have some kind of money making scheme going. 

funny thing, that feeling of desire; hunger grows deeply in one’s soul long after its been placated in the stomach.

she moved into her own apartment after her mother died about three years ago. mae was the only one who attended her funeral and it’s put some fear in her that she, too, will one day die alone.

she took to hecate’s hearth the moment it opened, always pestering zephyr for a job until they gave her one. 

she always desired a place to belong and the readings that they did for her meant the world and what was once considered a stepping stone now a secondary home, one she hopes to be as permanent as possible.

charlie comes from a family with deadbeat parents and seven children and if you don’t think that toughens up somebody then you’re damn wrong. 

they’ve been working two jobs ever since they could remember, early mornings before school and well into the evenings after. after they left high school, they began an apprenticeship at indelible ink here in town and that’s been their primary source of income for the last seven-ish years.

they still keep up a season job at the briarpatch farms, helping out with all of their fall related activities so if they seem like a chicken with their head cut off some days, that would be why. 

while chris takes some care of their parents, charlie wants Nothing to do with them and only really cares about their siblings. 

they are their world and charlie will fight for them and their happiness until the day that they die. and if you think that’s some melodrama you are damn well wrong.

they honestly live in a lowkey shitty apartment but they’d rather save their money and scraping by for now is better than living in a nice place and then suddenly having it taken away from you with no warning.

charlie is ,,, extremely scared of stability and permanence, even though they crave it. they’re scared that they’re going to have something nice and all of a sudden it’s going to be gone, like they’ve put all of this work towards a happiness that they can’t eventually have.

roommates ⋅ whether or not they actually see charlie often is something to be questioned, charlie is a courteous roommate. no major loud noises, especially not past ten pm or before eight am, no wild parties, no drugs, nothing. granted, charlie doesn’t give a fuck what their roommate does so long as they don’t lose the security deposit on the apartment. 

friends with benefits ⋅ charlie is terrified of permanence and keeping this person at an arm’s length away is something that tracks for that kind of mentality.

jack has been mayor for the last three and a quarter-ish years and has lived in autumn valley his whole life.

before he was mayor he was the owner and primary manager for red’s tavern, now he just owns the place and stops by for a drink of his own every once in a while. 

he’s placed the business in the capable hands of his sister, the second oldest ellis child after jack himself.

the tavern has been in the family for generations and jack was always proud to own it. he was conscious to get to know a lot of people that way and even though it maintains a dive bar aesthetic, you’ll be hard pressed to find a cleaner bathroom or better junk food.

when he was setting up his mayoral campaign, he got a lot of votes because of his proximity to the people of the town through the bar, which is something he’s been conscious to make especially family friendly. 

lots of people had known him since he was little and even though he ran nearly unopposed, he was a fine breath of fresh air.

he’s ,,, disgustingly warm, honestly. he’s a single father of three children ( ages 16, 19, and 21 -- the eldest two are playable ! ) and he has five younger siblings of his own. 

big families are something that he’s always known and adored. the holiday season means the world to him and he always starts preparing for halloween in september ( though he is incredibly conscious about making sure he doesn’t skip thanksgiving in his excitement for christmas ).

personal assistant ⋅ this is the person who helps jack find his head every morning. they know the ins and outs of his personal life and help him with just about everything he need, from making sure he gets his coffee in the morning to picking up his kids from school. they’re treated like a member of the ellis family and jack trusts them with his life. 

his flirtationship ⋅ this is someone that jack is progressively warming up to ( for as much warmer as a man like jack can get ). whether or not this grows into something more is something that we can plot out, but he’s extremely hesitant to start anything serious given that he’s concerned about his kids, his dedication to the town, and not actually being able to make time for the person he gets romantically involved with. preferably filled by someone 27+ and can be any gender.

belinda matthews is the daughter of a pair of lawyers, cecelia and andrew matthews. 

the matthews were well into their thirties by the time they’d had their first child, both of them on their second marriage, but neither one lacking in love for their daughter.

belle always knew she was loved and for that kind of home she will always be thankful. the relationship that she has with her parents is built on a deep foundation of trust and respect, something that she’s observed is not true for most of her friends her age. 

given this extremely tight relationship, she’s always been a rather confident kid and that translated to her schoolwork, too. 

her parents were lawyers and she wanted to follow in their footsteps as best as she could. 

it was at school that belle was reminded of how sincerely she loved history and she switched relatively early on from any kind of criminal justice or pre-law track to a history track.

she’s currently in her final year of her master’s degree, though she’s not totally sure what she’s going to do with it. 

she took up a job at crichton manor about two years ago to put a little extra cash in her pocket while she was working on her degrees and she absolutely loves giving tours around town.

biography: born to king laufey and his wife farbauti, loki was abandoned as a baby. they were considered to be too small and too weak for a frost giant. however, before they could succumb to the harsh environment of jotunheim, they were found by king odin and thus adopted by him and his wife, queen frigga. they were raised alongside their adoptive brother, thor, believing that they were as much their child as thor was -- and of course, as far as anyone including their parents were concerned, they were. overall, their childhood was good compared to what it would have been had they either been kept by their birth parents or died on jotunheim, even if they would later tell people otherwise (ex. telling thor they lived in his shadow – feelings of their own insecurity brought out by thanos’ manipulation).

they were taught to wield magic by their mother, frigga, as they lacked interest in fighting, partially due to their smaller stature. loki often played pranks on thor using the magic they were being taught, such as finding different ways to stab him or turn him into different animals, both as a child and into their adulthood.

obviously, the events of thor, avengers & thor: the dark world are all canon to loki!  i presume everyone knows the general gist of those so i’m not gonna go into a lot of detail.

the events of ragnarok are also canon, however, omitting the obvious end where thanos shows up !!  basically instead they made it back to earth, safe and sound! upon returning to earth, they set up new asgard in norway, where loki stayed for a time before returning to new york to teach.

being genderfluid, loki uses and answers to he, she and they pronouns! this will always be discerned in my writing so you can tell which ones to use.

i write loki as a reformed villain -- they’re not a hero, but they’re not a villain either.

hence why i’m glad ragnarok can be (mostly) canon because that movie is very important to their character development and how i write them!

magnolia was adopted into one of the richest families in georgia. her dads had struck it big in the design world, designing clothes for some of the most well-known names in hollywood. eric and sebastian had the kind of minds everyone in the fashion world wanted to figure out. 

eric and sebastian knew that everything they did was for their only daughter. they spoiled her relentlessly and they never wanted her to ask for a single thing. 

she was always very well liked wherever she went and had little trouble making friends. 

she went through a heavy rotation of boarding schools beginning when she hit thirteen due to her high intellect. no school ever really seemed to fit her. 

her dad’s moved up to autumn valley for a change of scenery. whenever magnolia came home, she would fall in love with the town all over again. she quickly realized that when she had her own place, she wanted it to be here. 

she eventually found her place sophomore year at an elite boarding school in new york city. she graduated at the top of her class and went on to pursue a career in politics before getting her law certification. 

she did hit a snag in law school, however, that came in the form of two pink lines. she had been seeing a guy casually at the time and he FOR SURE was not in the right place to have a baby. this made magnolia’s decision very easy -- she was going to take care of her little bundle of joy all by herself. 

magnolia considered dropping out of law school at first, but knew that if she finished she could take better care of herself and her daughter. 

just as she had planned, she moved to autumn valley for good and opened up her own practice. it wasn’t very long before she was elected into the deputy mayor position. 

she enjoys her job, but there’s times when she misses practicing. 

erica is her entire life. she believes that her baby daughter teaches her more every day than she ever could. 

she’s a bit of a flirt and knows she’s got plenty of charm to spare. she’s very unlikely to commit to her flings though, only when someone truly gets her attention. 

she’s honestly a total sweetie and wants nothing but goodness for everyone, but she will kick your ass without question if you make her mad.

she doesn’t like to admit it, but she does want someone to take care of her every now and then. she likes to think she’s a big bad player but is actually a huge hopeless romantic.

BACKGROUND:

biography: chaerin’s birth seems rather normal compared to other mutants, but circumstances surrounding the pregnancy were anything but. her parents were scientists, and due to the nature of their job, both the mother-to-be and the twins she was carrying were exposed to multiple kinds of radiation. it went unnoticed until she fell sick on too many occasions, eventually leading to the premature birth of her two children and her untimely death.

life went on for the jung family, and those who knew the patriarch saw a change in him after his wife’s death. they watched him grow colder and closed off. watched as he refused all their help with raising his two children, claiming it was his responsibility to his wife. it seemed like a noble cause, and an expected reaction to such a tragedy. no one could have guessed what was really happening, the reason for all the privacy and secrecy. the jung twins weren’t normal, and only their father was aware of their mutation.

from a disgustingly young age, chaerin and her twin brother were treated as his test subjects rather than his children. unable to love them after they were the cause of his beloved’s death, he hired nannies to care for them, leaving him to focus on a newfound passion: mutants. with his kids both showing signs of powers before they could walk or talk, his work and life fused into one and became about them. maybe he thought he was doing them a favor, helping them grow, learning all he could about this unexpected development. but at it’s core, it was his own kind of punishment for taking away their mother.

when she was only ten months old, still crawling, her father found her in the kitchen, near the open dishwasher, knife in hand. immediate alarm set in until he realized she was unharmed. it seemed like nothing, just a coincidence, until the same thing happened a week later. but this time he watched as she threw the knife at the wall, the blade sticking into it perfectly. it wasn’t just unlikely now, it seemed impossible. but he already knew his kids could be capable of the impossible.

from then on, she was supervised constantly. a baby with a nearly magnetic attraction to knives wasn’t safe for anybody. but under controlled environments he tested her powers, let her play where she couldn’t hurt anyone. as she grew older, her powers grew with her. with her father to continuously push her, she learned more and more about what she could do. she learned how to properly wield a sword, how to throw knives, how to use an enemy’s own force against him. without knowing it, she was trained to be a weapon. and the head of the jung family knew more than the average person about weapons.

there was no rest, no love, no smiles. just tests, a new trial every day. some were medical; he wanted to know what made them who they were and how despite being twins their powers could be so vastly different. others were physical; he wanted to see how well they were developing. when she grew stubborn and refused to play along, he’d include her brother, using him as a threat to get her to comply. protecting her brother always came first; she’d easily sacrifice her own well-being to protect him. they were all each other had.

she was twelve when the avengers came to take her father away. he wasn’t a good man, they said. something chaerin was already aware of, even at a young age. he was creating weapons for villains and those against the law. they hadn’t expected to find two children, but it didn’t take long for them to figure out what to do with the twins. charles xavier stepped in, accepting the kids into his school. before she knew it, professor xavier had signed the adoption papers, accepting the twins into his family. taking responsibility for them. she knew it was his brother who had won him over; she had always been more stand-offish, sharp corners and blind rage. but a quick hug (something unheard of towards everyone other than her brother) showed her appreciation to the man.

at the school, with the help of her new father, she discovered her weapon of choice: her dual katana blades. he  even commissioned ones made out of vibranium so that they could absorb, store, and release kinetic energy in battle. she was able to train without the pressure of her birth father. she belonged to no one but herself, and she intended to grow her powers, pushed even further by the thought of revenge against the man who had nearly broken her and her brother. even though she was learning about her powers, what her father put her and her brother through was their own personal hell. 

chaerin only agreed to go to the academy because of her brother. there was no way they’d be seperated, and she didn’t necessarily care about the noble act of being a hero. she was never much of one to look up to, never big on saving anyone other than her twin. but she tried for him. and (even though she’d never admit it) she wanted to try for the man that took them in when they had nothing.

powers and abilities: supernatural swordsmanship - the ability to wield a sword with supernatural proficiency in speed, power, and skill, allowing them to perform seemingly impossible feats with ease, such as cutting through near invulnerable or intangible materials, blocking or deflecting things that would normally be impossible to block/deflect.

STRENGTHS:  + enhanced agility & power - when it comes to wielding a blade of any kind, chaerin is faster, stronger, and more reactive to what is happening around her. her dual katanas can barely be seen as their slicing through the air, seeking out their target. + deflection - her blades can be used not only offensively but from a defense stand point as well. her agility and power combine to make it seem effortless to deflect projectiles (or enemies in general) coming her way. + kinetic energy absorption - her katanas absorb and build up energy from hits they take (similarly to black panther’s suit) which she can eventually use to deal a stronger blow against enemies. + blade telekinesis - includes (but is not limited to) summoning a weapon or controlling the path of a thrown bladed weapon.

WEAKNESSES: - certain off-world metals and materials are unable to be penetrated by her blades. - a weapon is required. while she’s done her best to train her physical form over the years, she’s comparably useless without some kind of blade to wield against other supernatural beings. - there is no elevated healing. chaerin heals like an average person and has spent months out of commission due to pushing herself too hard and breaking something. - has trouble pulling back. her power is strong, and chaerin isn’t always the best at reeling it in when appropriate (though it’s something she’s working on in the academy). - she’s not immune to her blades. her over-zealousness has often ended with deep gashes and required stitches.

BACKGROUND: (Some basics borrowed from Mia so the sisters match.)

Gabrielle Sarah Rogers was born an adventurous child.  Named for two people from her father’s past, she enjoyed exploring things, poking and prodding at anything and everything that crossed her path.  Her father used to joke that she would turn him gray.  It made her laugh, but she’d happily go about chasing the next shiny thing that caught her eye.  

At nine years old, everything changed.  Her father went to return the Infinity Stones and never came back.  Not long after, her mother died in a car accident.  Her father’s disappearance and her mother’s death really left their mark on Gabi. It caused her to lose a good deal of her adventurous side. She felt responsible for taking care of her younger siblings. Even after the adoption, she could be a bit of a little mother.

Eventually, she came to accept the loss of her parents, and she opened herself to truly accepting her adopted parents.  They’d always been a part of her life, and she loved them, but it took her time to heal.  When she did, she finally took their names and began to refer to them as Mom and Dad - though never Mama or Daddy.  

All of her energy needed to go somewhere, so Gabi focused on her studies and began to excel in academics.  Given how often the people around her would get into scrapes or situations, she decided to go into medicine - that way she could still help even though she didn’t have any desire to be a hero or an agent.  Her adopted parents made sure she could defend herself, and they realized she had leadership potential - even if she didn’t see it herself.  They encouraged her to learn chess, helping her exercise her gift for strategy.

When presented with the chance of her universe’s destruction, Gabi had to take the chance.  She couldn’t just let it get wiped out without trying to do something.

Powers and abilities: Enhanced physiology - peak physical ability. Physical healing is a bit faster than normal, but not regenerative. Highly resistant to disease.

• the ability to transform sound waves into energy - inherited from her mother, Eleanor can absorb sonic energy from anything that emits it, then transfer that into a palpable, tangible energy through her hands.

• extreme proficiency in blade combat - this one she got from her father. although she didn’t inherit his ability to manipulate luck or probability, her nearly infallible combat skills come from his genes (and relentless training).

biography:

when placed in an orphanage as an infant without a name of her own, the nuns that looked after her gave her the name mary sue poots – but as she grew older and realized just how awful that name was, she took up the name skye for herself instead. she spent her life in the system, bouncing around from foster home to foster home. some were good, others were not, but it rarely matter as she’d never spent more than two years anywhere. as she grew older, she never felt like she fit in anywhere and quickly grew desperate to find out who she was and where she came from. she learned how to hack and joined up with a group of “hacktivists” called the rising tide, and when her search for her parents only led to one redacted file from SHIELD, she pursued it further.

she was caught hacking the secret organization from her van and was brought in by phil coulson and the new team he was putting together. where most only saw a reason to have her arrested, he saw potential. he brought her along as a consultant and promised to help her find the truth about her parents. it became more than that to her, as she grew to care for the team and believe in the good they were doing. she was trained as a field operative and eventually earned a place as a true agent. skye was part of the team when hydra was exposed and SHIELD fell, even betrayed as the one that trained her turned out to be hydra.

skye was one of coulson’s most trusted agents when he dedicated himself as the new director of SHIELD, and rebuilt the organization in the shadows from the ground up. she quickly excelled in espionage and combat and eventually, she got the answers of her history. she found her father, a former doctor named calvin johnson – and he told her what her real name was, daisy johnson. through a series of events, daisy was exposed to the terrigen mist and triggered her inhuman gene inherited from her mother, gaining the power to manipulate vibrations. she eventually met her mother, jiaying, as well – but she’d grown bitter with humanity after being tortured by hydra. she tried to have daisy at her side in a plot to expose the world to terrigen, that would force humans to either undergo an inhuman change or die. daisy was ultimately able to stop her, but some terrigen still reached many humans, but due to dilution, it was nonfatal.

daisy continued her work with SHIELD, finding and helping people that turned inhuman and helping them learn control of their powers. after losing someone she loved, daisy temporarily left SHIELD in an attempt to cope and as her powers garnered public attention, the media dubbed her with the name quake. she rejoined her old team but was forced to expose herself and her identity when the sokovia accords came out and SHIELD was back in the public light and facing scrutiny for her public actions with her powers. her life has taken many twists and turns, including a visit to a dystopian future where she may or may not have quaked the earth in half and became known as the destroyer of worlds – though they were able to prevent that. when she learned of another possible apocalypse, she offered to do what she could to help.

vibration manipulation ( concussive blasts, vibrations absorption, disintegration ): daisy gained the ability to manipulate and enhance vibrations which can produce effects such as earthquakes and shockwaves. she is able to sense and tap into the vibrations around her. her powers are connected to her heart rate, and as a negative result she can lose control of her powers whenever her heartbeat increases during stressful situations. her body is able to withstand enhancing and releasing intense vibrational waves, however attempting to forcefully internalize or hold back her powers will put an excessive strain on her body and may lead to internal injuries like ruptured veins, hairline bone fractures, or other severe consequences, which requires her to use gauntlets to help absorb the vibrations.
