the main thing u need to know about ivy is that she is lying ! always !! her real name isn’t even actually ivy smh

she was born NATALIE ROSE SERRANO, to two working class parents in new york city. she knew from a young age that she was just supposed to be rich and famous, and that something had gotten mixed up somewhere and she was put in the wrong life.

in high school she got a scholarship to a fancy private catholic school, and that’s where she started to hone her craft of manipulating rich people. she would befriend all of the richest bitches at school and take advantage of everything that came along with it: vacations to far away places, stays in the family’s cabins and lake houses, even designer clothes that her friends no longer wanted and would gift to her, thinking it was their idea all along

as she grew up and got better at getting what she wanted out of people, her entitled attitude only got worse, driving a wedge between her and her parents, who kept waiting for her to develop a work ethic and kept being disappointed. a few months after she graduated high school, on her 18th birthday, her parents kicked her out of the house and cut her off, hoping that it would force her to grow up and take on any responsibility

but that plan backfired for them, her parents underestimating how truly stubborn natalie was. the day after her 18th, she wandered into a local strip club and got a job, figuring it’d be the easiest and quickest way to get some cash, and she took to it naturally and actually really enjoyed stripping

she started to embody an entirely new persona that she had created for herself, dancing under the name POISON IVY and telling everyone she was a trust fund baby that had been cut off from her rich parents, needing to dance to supplement her income, and her lies just continued to spiral out of control until she almost started to believe it herself. she had never told anyone at the club her real name, not even the other strippers, just going by “ivy” for a while.

she had learned to weaponize the power she had over people by being pretty and charming, using her looks for absolute evil and doing whatever it took to get money—from straight up pickpocketing, to making men buy her expensive gifts, to blackmailing, to sugar babying, to getting patrons wasted and manipulating them into tipping her absurd amounts… she did it all, very quickly earning enough to live the life she had always dreamed of, that she felt she deserved for whatever twisted reason.

she started posting on instagram with the name poison ivy generally just flaunting her carefree, extravagant life, often exaggerating or down right lying just to really dazzle her quickly growing audience

as she started to go down the influencer route, she realized she needed to do something to hide the skeletons in her closet ( the fact that she didn’t actually come from money and was making far more than was normal for even the best of dancers, a couple of small possession / shoplifting charges, and just generally anything that could lead people to her real identity ) so she started to tell people her name was ives, fully taking on the new identity. she even went so far as to make some of the people that had been closest to her sign NDAs about her real identity, making sure that no one could sell info about her should her plan of being famous work out

she also moved out to california to run away from everyone in the city that was starting to catch on to what she was doing, basically doing all the same shit but now in a New Place.. this was about 3-4 years ago, so she’s been in sunhollow for a while now doing the whole influencer thing !!

and it did work out !! at first she was definitely buying followers/likes to boost her likelihood of brand sponsorships, but eventually she faked it until she made it and actually attained influencer status. she then used her newfound internet fame ( and some classic blackmailing ) to get herself a record deal 

she also started sleeping around with pretty much any famous person she could, having very public relationships and breakups and scandals to keep her name in the press, which ultimately lead to more exposure/people following her, if only to see what she did next, which lead to even more sponsorships

eventually she stopped dancing and just focused on her influencing and more recently ( like... less than 6 months ago recently ) her music career. but she never stopped sugar babying and scamming rich stupid men, still very much using that as a means to keep up her lifestyle. she’s also done a few modeling things, but it’s mostly just like catalog work or being the face of a trendy campaign bc she’s way too short for the runway

she also recently made an only fans account bc she was bored one night and was mostly planning on posting once as a joke but then she made a bunch of money / got a bunch of subscribers and was like oh word ? i can do that ! so she will post on there from time to time but she’s not like… super serious about it ya know ? also her music label is big mad at her for it bc they’re like bUt yOuR rEpUtAtIoN and she’s like yeah.. but my bank account ? also it’s no secret she used to be a stripper so she rly just.. doesn’t give a fuck !

she’s usually pretty friendly actually, really charming and outgoing and just trying to have a good time

she has a pretty short temper tho and holds grudges like you wouldn’t believe, so once you’re on her bad side… good luck lol she is so ruthless

she’s like… deeply, deeply selfish and will always put herself first, but she’s so manipulative that she can make people do things that they think are their idea, but it’s really just something she planted in their head so it’s not always obvious

also very spoiled and will throw a mf fit if she doesn’t get her way or u say no to her

always going out !! always doing the most !! she’s the type to show up randomly at ur door at 8pm on a tuesday with a bottle of tequila and make u party with her whether u like it or not

she’s a lot smarter than she lets on sometimes, like she knows people expect her to be stupid and ditzy and shallow and she’ll let them underestimate her when it’s beneficial

always looks perfectly put together— her nails are always meticulously manicured, usually w stiletto shaped acrylics, and you’ll literally never see her outside her house without makeup and a perfectly composed outfit. it’s also a rare occasion that she’s not wearing at least six inch heels, trying to make up for bein so mf short ( she’s 5’3 )

she talks A Lot but is really good at saying a lot of words without actually saying anything, like you can be best friends with her for months and then just be like “i don’t actually know a single thing about her”

always up to no good and sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong !! she’s always got some sort of scheme going or getting in to some kind of drama

the history

malani was born to two marine biologists on the coast of the big island of hawaii, so it’s safe to assume she spent a majority of her childhood outside in nature. since the time she could walk, malani was running on the beach barefoot, making friends with the turtles, and hunting for seashells. since she was homeschooled, she never really had many human friends, but she had always considered the earth to be her closest friend, and she still does. 

she has always been a sweet girl, her parents taught her to be empathetic and understanding while also still being able to stand up for herself. malani adored the few friends she did have on the island, and frequently went on hikes (or adventures, as they liked to call them), went surfing, picked up the trash on the beach, or hosted bonfires on the beach in their spare time.

she’s also always had a deep love for animals. growing up her parents always seemed to take in every stray they found, so the herrera house was often times a bit zoo-like. malani also learned how to scuba dive and snorkel at a young age from her parents, so she enjoyed swimming with dolphins and sting rays.

when she was only 13, her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer. it developed super fast, and there was nothing the doctors could really do. only six months after the diagnosis, malani’s mother passed. this tore little lani apart. she retreated into herself and became only a shell of who she once was. 

only a few months later, a devastating hurricane hit her island. when the storm landed, her father had to rush to lock down his research station, leaving little lani to attempt to secure their house by herself. she desperately collected all the animals she could before boarding up her house, but she couldn’t save them all. there was nothing else for her to do for hours until the storm passed besides huddling in the corner of her room, holding on tightly to her animals and her mother’s journals. 

when the storm passed, their was not much left of their home, let alone their island. basically everything had been destroyed or flooded. it was after this that lani’s father decided to move them out to south carolina to be closer to his best friend - who also happened to be lani’s best friend’s sebastian’s, father. 

life in south carolina wasn’t any easier. lani missed her old life in hawaii more than anything. she didn’t think she ever belonged anywhere besides her little house on the beach. there, she was extremely quiet, and kept to herself. she was homeschooled, so she never really had any chance to make a lot of friends. 

she graduated a year early from high school, and moved out to california to study marine biology and follow in her parents footsteps. 

little tidbits

malani works for a marine rescue sanctuary - she’s part of the team who responds to emergency calls of beached/stranded animals, or animals caught in nets. if she’s not out in the field, she works as an assistant to the veterinarians, or sometimes gives tours to guests who visit the sanctuary. 

she’s much more extroverted now than she was growing up. not exactly the loudest person at a party, but she knows how to have a good time. 

this girl...is literally the most emotional human being ever. she just feels everything to the extreme, and has a hard time controlling her emotions. she cries at like, everything. 

she’s definitely the type to have beads and thread in her hair and seashell necklaces on constantly. she just loves that vibe and the beachy look. 

storms are still her biggest fear. they just terrify her. she always has an emergency bag packed in case she has to evacuate suddenly, and she has detailed plans as to how to secure her apartment if need be.

struggles with anxiety (separation anxiety especially) and really fears losing the people who are closest to her. 

literally falls in love with everyone she meets. she just really likes to see the good in everyone, and she believes that everyone deserves someone to believe in them.  

she and sebastian have a pet turtle named salami, and it’s their pride and joy. 

very passionate about social justice issues. she’s vegan, and always tries to be as environmentally conscious as possible.

born  in  the  supposed  “  rough  side  of  town  ”  ,  willow  was  born  into  a  somewhat  nuclear  family  ,  two  present  parents  ,  a  younger  sister  ,  and  all  the  love  that  a  child  could  ask  for  .

her  parents  kristen  and  isaiah  were  your  typical  sunhollow  couple  ,  high  school  sweethearts  ,  and  madly  in  love  .  isaiah  being  the  laid  back  stoner  type  and  kristen  being  your  stereotypical  type  a  suburban  mom  .

isaiah  was  the  more  laid  back  of  the  pair  ,  being  the  sole  owner  of  the  rocks  skate  park  ( where  he  acted  as  a  father  figure  for  anyone  who  set  foot  on  the  ramps  )  ,  and  coming  from  a  less  than  glamorous  childhood  himself  ,  believed  in  giving  your  children  space  to  grow  and  adapt  into  their  own  person  .  

their  mother  kristen  ,  on  the  other  hand  the  first  to  bring  over  fresh  baked  goods  and  homemade  casseroles  to  the  new  neighbors  ,  heavily  involved  in  the  pta  ,  and  the  most  visible  parents  at  any  school  function  geared  towards  their  kids  .

it  was  almost  stifling  how  much  the  kristen  was  involved  in  their  children’s  lives  ,  always  on  top  of  their  grades  ,  their  extracurricular  involvement  ,  essentially  any  aspect  of  their  children’s  lives  that  she  could  control  they  took  the  liberty  in  doing  so  .

though  that’s  not  to  say  that  she  wasn’t  concerned  with  how  her  children  felt  ,  more  so  that  she  was  convinced  their  way  was  the  right  way  .

the  russells  balanced  each  other  out  perfectly  ,  and  it  continued  to  be  that  way  for  as  long  as  willow  could  remember  it  .

a  rather  well  behaved  child  ,  willow  tried  their  absolute  best  to  fly  under  their  mother’s  radar  ,  which  is  extremely  difficult  when  you’re  the  eldest  daughter  of  only  two  .  so  willow  subsequently  felt  a  lot  of  the  pressure  of  her  mother  from  a  young  age  .

due  to  her  mother’s  overbearing  nature  willow  naturally  gravitated  towards  being  a  daddy’s  girl  .  spending  any  and  all  free  time  she  could  with  him  and  from  the  minute  she  was  old  enough  to  walk  he  taught  her  how  to  skate  ,  something  that  became  a  bonding  experience  for  both  of  them  ,  as  she  got  better  and  better  ,  their  bond  grew  stronger  and  stronger  .

rain  or  shine  ,  there  wasn’t  a  single  day  that  willow  didn’t  spend  with  her  father  .  everyone  in  the  rocks  joked  that  she  was  a  derivative  of  him  ,  a  spitting  image  if  anyone  had  ever  seen  one  .

and  as  willow  grew  up  things  became  no  different  .

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐞. 

high  school  came  around  and  willow  got  two  extremely  different  notions  from  their  parents  .  their  mother  wanted  her  to  buckle  down  and  focus  on  choosing  a  sensible  career  ,  while  their  father  wanted  her  to  follow  their  passions  in  the  same  vein  that  he  did  (  his  being  a  now  infamous  band  ,  at  least  to  willow  )

willow  tried  their  best  to  maintain  a  balance  of  both  extracurriculars  that  appeased  their  mother  ,  and  free  time  spent  with  their  father  at  the  skate  park  ,  helping  him  out  with  general  upkeep  and  sharpening  their  skills  whenever  possible  .

during  one  of  daily  trips  to  the  ramps  ,  she  happened  to  notice  someone  she’d  never  seen  before  ,  call  it  love  at  first  sight  ,  or  just  teenage  hormones  ,  but  suddenly  willow  had  a  new  goal  in  mind  .

it  didn’t  take  long  before  they  also  caught  his  attention  ,  if  for  no  other  reason  than  that  they  were  measurably  a  hundred  times  better  than  he  was  on  the  ramps  ,  and  soon  enough  a  relationship  formed  .

for  once  willow  didn’t  care  much  about  their  mother’s  pedantic  tendencies  or  their  father’s  disapproval  of  the  boy  that  she’d  chose  ,  they  were  in  love  ,  and  no  one  could  tell  them  otherwise  .

ABUSE TW  this  was  until  their  boyfriend  proved  to  be  more  controlling  than  thier  mother  .  she  could  hardly  go  to  the  ramps  ,  all  her  free  time  was  spent  with  him  rather  than  her  father  ,  and  if  they  ever  dared  challenge  him  things  go  physical  .

they  were  all  apperances  in  public  ,  and  to  their  parents  ,  holding  hands  in  the  hallways  and  him  slipping  them  handwritten  love  letters  ,  but  things  only  continued  to  escalate  as  their  relationship  continue  further  .

ASSAULT & ABUSE TW  the  final  straw  was  when  he  threatened  them  with  a  knife  to  their  throat  due  to  them  choosing  to  spend  time  with  their  father  instead  of  sit  in  on  his  band  practice  without  alerting  him  .  it  was  then  they  realized  they  never  wanted  to  fear  someone  like  that  again  .

finally  gathering  the  courage  to  share  with  their  father  what  was  happening  behind  the  scenes  ,  they  successfully  managed  to  break  things  off  ,  and  although  they  had  escaped  their  situation  ,  that  relationship  had  lasting  impacts  on  how  they  viewed  love  .

they  clung  to  security  after  this  ,  constantly  attached  to  the  hip  of  their  father  ,  worried  about  what  the  return  of  their  ex  lover  might  look  like  .  thankfully  this  fear  never  came  to  fruition  ,  though  it  still  hauntingly  lingers  to  this  day  .

they  successfully  graduated  high  school  ,  and  with  heavy  influence  from  their  mother  enrolled  in  sunhollow  for  a  degree  in  journalism  .  and  the  minute  they  stepped  foot  on  the  sunhollow  campus  and  swore  not  to  fall  in  love  ,  that’s  exactly  what  they  did  .

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡. 

he  was  nothing  like  her  last  boyfriend  all  sweet  words  and  gentle  hands  that  knew  exactly  the  spots  to  kiss  to  make  her  feel  whole  again  .

the  whiplash  that  came  from  going  to  a  super  toxic  relationship  to  one  where  he  was  extremely  loving  and  gentle  was  something  that  willow  had  to  slowly  become  accustomed  to  .

she  spent  her  days  with  him  in  the  library  ,  hushed  giggles  and  hand  holding  ,  and  her  nights  commuting  back  to  the  rocks  to  help  out  her  family  with  her  job  that  she  got  at  victoria’s  .

though  journalism  wasn’t  exactly  her  main  passion  ,  there  were  plenty  of  opportunities  to  get  involved  with  things  that  were  .  enter  the  band  her  and  her  boyfriend

they  were  nothing  to  write  home  about  ,  they  were  good  in  a  local  dive  bars  ,  but  they  definitely  weren’t  going  to  be  selling  out  stadiums  any  time  soon  ,  and  honestly  they  preferred  it  that  way  .

this  was  her  college  experience  ,  playing  shows  at  victoria’s  ,  splitting  time  between  her  boyfriend  and  her  family  ,  and  working  her  way  towards  completing  her  bachelor’s  degree  .

she  even  saved  up  enough  money  with  her  boyfriend  to  afford  a  moderately  sized  condo  in  the  rocks  close  to  her  childhood  home  .  this  condo  would  also  become  the  place  where  he  ended  up  proposing  the  idea  of  getting  eloped  .  he  was  convinced  they  didn’t  need  a  ceremony  only  each  other  .

the  day  she  walked  the  stage  with  her  husband  was  one  of  the  proudest  moments  of  her  life  ,  but  soon  enough  it  would  devolve  into  the  worst  .

FIRE TW  clamors  of  a  house  fire  in  the  rocks  ,  prompting  an  early  departure  from  both  willow  and  her  husband  who  drove  home  to  see  willow’s  childhood  home  in  flames  .

DEATH TW  by  the  time  that  help  had  arrived  ,  it  was  too  late  ,  both  her  parents  had  been  consumed  by  the  flames  ,  childhood  memories  had  been  destroyed  ,  and  willow  yet  again  felt  broken  .

the  only  family  that  remained  was  her  ,  her  sister  ,  and  her  husband  .  and  willow  took  every  opportunity  to  step  up  to  the  plate  and  provide  her  sister  whatever  she  could  within  her  means  .

willow  decided  to  put  her  journalism  degree  to  work  to  honor  her  parents  and  wrote  for  the  local  newspaper  ,  bringing  light  to  social  issues  at  the  rocks  ,  and  local  news  going  on  within  the  community  from  any  side  of  town  .  but  she  also  had  the  job  of  maintaining  the  skate  park  her  father  left  for  her  ,  and  part  -  time  shifts  at  victoria’s  ,  a  job  that  gave  her  some  semblance  of  normalcy  .

four  years  seemed  to  pass  willow  by  without  seemingly  anything  interesting  happening  ,  life  seemed  to  finally  calm  down  .

PREGNANCY TW  but  soon  enough  after  weeks  of  getting  sick  after  rehearsal ( her  college  bad  reuniting  to  play  victoria’s  on  sunday  nights )  ,  and  waking  up  nauseated  ,  willow  realized  she  might  have  idea  of  what  was  going  on  .  three  pregnancy  tests  later  she  was  staring  down  at  a  pink  plus  sign  with  tears  in  her  eyes  . 

they  were  more  than  happy  to  finally  settle  down  and  seriously  consider  having  a  family  ,  something  that  willow  had  always  craved  .

and  the  minute  that  life  got  better  again  it  go  exponentially  worse  .

PREGNANCY TW  about  a  month  before  her  twenty  -  fifth  birthday  ,  willow  gave  birth  to  twin  girls  which  she  named  iris  and  imani  ,  and  the  second  time  she  ever  held  them  in  her  arms  she  received  life  altering  news  .

similar  to  her  dad  ,  anyone  who  steps  foot  on  the  ramps  is  by  proxy  her  child  ,  and  that’s  no  joke  ,  she  will  never  forget  a  face  and  she  will  get  to  know  everything  about  you  ,  she  believes  in  taking  care  of  the  people  who  keep  her  dad’s  legacy  alive  .

the  best  way  that  i  can  describe  her  personality  is  abrasive  ,  extremely  rough  around  the  edges  ,  and  she  is  not  one  to  let  people  in  easily  anymore  .  unless  of  course  she  considers  you  family  ,  then  she  is  by  your  side  until  the  end  of  time  .

PAST AND FUTURE

Jo was a miracle baby, she was her parents fifth time trying for a child. It wasn’t for lack of pregnancy, her mother couldn’t carry all the way through term. After Josephine took her first breath, nearly every breath after that  was in the vicinity of her mother. Although most kid would’ve hated that, Jo found it comforting. She was very nurtured. After her birth, Jo’s mother became a stay at home mom. This often led to her feeling like it would teeter on the side of helicopter parenting from time to time. However, the extra time with her mother led her to find her love of reading and writing.As a child Jo was a huge teacher's pet.  She always loved the idea of learning, no matter who or what was teaching her. Even when she hit the age of nine and learning became hard for her, she still enjoyed someone looking out for her and trying to help her be her best self.

Even though she overcame her disability, she shies away from compliments. She finds herself undeserving of them, and openly welcomes criticism. She knows that she isn’t perfect, but she wants to work on being the best version of herself she could be.

She grew up thinking she was poor, but her parents were actually well off because they never wanted her to grow up thinking that money made anyone better than anyone else.

All she wanted was to get into college to make her parents proud of her. Yes, she could’ve done anything and got their approval, but she wanted their approval to mean something. So she worked as hard as she could to get into the top education program in the nation. She wanted to pay the experience she had in school forward. She was on her way home to tell her parents that she had did something that would actually make them proud, her mother called her and told her the terrible news. Her father had a heart attack and didn’t make it to the hospital. She was ready to drop all of her plans to be with her mother and just do school at a local college. However, once her mother found out that she had gotten the scholarship she worked so hard for, her mother demanded that she went to Yates. That’s how she ended up on the green slopes of campus her freshman year of college.

TL;DR: JO WAS A MIRACLE BABY THAT WANTED TO BE A TEACHER HER WHOLE LIFE. SHE ALMOST DIDN’T GO TO COLLEGE BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO TAKE CARE OF HER MOTHER AFTER HER FATHER’S DEATH BUT HER MOM WOULDN’T LET HER GIVE UP ON ONE OF HER DREAMS.

her  parents  were  an  interesting  pair  .  her  mother  a  free  spirited  enigmatic  young  woman  who  believed  in  healing  through  love  and  nature  ,  and  her  father  a  struggling  mean  -  spirited  business  tycoon  always  looking  for  the  next  thing  he  could  exploit  .  but  despite  their  clashing  personalities  and  seemingly  opposite  morals  ,  they  were  in  love  ,  had  been  since  high  school  ,  and  they  balanced  each  other  out  almost  perfectly  . 

but  as  it  turns  out  almost  perfect  wasn’t  good  enough  for her  father  ,  who  split  when  she  was  eight  ,  leaving  behind  sutton’s  heart  broken  mother  ,  and  five  kids  to  raise  alone  .

the  family  was  hardly  making  a  enough  to  survive  before  the  sudden  departure  of  her  father  ,  and  so  this  left  an  eight  -  year  -  old  sutton  to  step  up  to  the  plate  and  help  her  mother  ,  raising  her  siblings  while  her  mom  tried  to  find  steady  work  .

sutton  prayed  that  she’d  be  graced  with  the  same  mean  streak  that  her  father  had  ,  but  alas  she  was  gentle  at  heart  ,  similar  to  her  mother  an  enigmatic  personality  that  was  hard  to  pin  down  .

everyone  ,  including  sutton  herself  ,  expected  her  to  break  .  the  bond  that  the  two  had  built  was  immeasurable  and  sutton  had  never  shown  the  ablitiy  to  be  grounded  before  .  her  and  her  mother  were  both  two  enigmas  perfectly  coexisting  ,  and  suddenly  it  was  up  to  sutton  to  figure  out  what  to  do  .

sutton  put  on  a  brave  face  for  her  siblings  ,  but  was  slowly  cracking  under  the  pressure  of  everything  that  seemed  to  be  perfectly  chipping  away  at  the  person  she  once  was  .

this  is  until  she  met  a  boy  ,  a  musician  with  a  similar  story  to  hers  ,  who  she  completely  connected  with  in  a  way  that  was  rivaled  only  by  her  mother  .  him  and  her  seemed  to  have  the  same  bleeding  wounds  that  could  only  be  healed  by  each  other  .

cue  nights  at  the  beach  ,  swapping  stories  ,  and  endless  road  trips  confined  to  their  little  bubble  of  bliss  .  he  fueled  the  artist  within  her  .  painting  upon  painting  of  the  way  he  made  her  feel  ,  how  his  music  moved  her  ,  for  once  the  world  didn’t  seem  so  cruel  .

but  of  course  ,  the  world  was  determined  to  prove  sutton  harvey  wrong  .  with  a  sudden  disappearance  of  both  her  first  love  and  her  aunt  ,  the  latter  of  which  ran  back  to  vegas  with  her  new  beau  ,  she’d  felt  abandoned  just  as  before  .  and  here  is  where  sutton  harvey  finally  cracked  .

this  only  made  her  further  spiral  ,  trying  to  convince  herself  that  even  though  this  was  having  a  negative  toll  on  her  ,  at  least  for  once  she  was  living  for  herself  .

DRUG MENTION  this  was  until  while  she  was  coming  down  from  an  immense  high  she  stumbled  upon  a  record  store  where  through  the  window  she  caught  a  small  glimpse  of  her  past  ,  of  the  person  she  used  to  be  ,  the  face  of  the  boy  who’d  up  and  left  all  those  years  ago  .

her  entire  world  seemed  to  collide  with  her  heart  at  that  very  moment  .  for  a  fleeting  moment  she  felt  like  the  girl  she  was  in  high  school  ,  full  of  life  ,  love  ,  and  most  importantly  art  .

after  this  near  encounter  with  her  past  self  ,  she  worked  heavily  on  getting  sober  .  and  has  now  been  clean  for  five  years  !!

after  her  first  year  of  getting  sober  she  worked  multiple  jobs  to  buy  a  small  studio  apartment  where  she  could  begin  painting  again  ,  and  even  made  strides  to  reconnect  with  her  father  and  her  siblings  whom  she’d  since  distanced  herself  from  .

soon  enough  she  became  an  art  contributor  for  the  local  museum  and  earns  her  income  between  hosting  small  art  galleries  on  the  pier  and  the  aforementioned  art  contributions  .

after  three  years  of  sobriety  ,  more  widely  recognized  art  ,  and  a  proper  relationship  with  her  father  ,  he  gifted  her  a  beach  house  where  she  spends  a  majority  of  her  time  .

what  started  as  one  cat  to  keep  her  company  turned  into  nine  because  if  there’s  one  thing  that  sutton  lacks  it’s  control  .

the history

jasmin was never ordinary. she progressed quickly even as a small child, and only continued that trend when she grew older. she was reading chapter books by kindergarten, and quickly grew impatient in her standard classes. once they realized that she was special, her parents placed her in a gifted academy. here is where she truly thrived as she was able to be challenged academically - though she still outperformed all her peers. 

she took a quick liking to books, especially to stories of the past. history had fascinated her from early on, and she could remember even the smallest facts perfectly. 

her idea of fun growing up involved sitting in the library and reading a history textbook or teaching herself a new language. she taught herself how to speak french and italian all on her own, and still speaks them fluently today. 

she was pretty quiet growing up, and preferred to keep to herself and her books. 

with her smarts, it was no surprise that she went to an ivy league at the age of 16. columbia university was always her dream school, and there, she finally felt like she belonged. 

when she was 19, she got a call one day saying that her sister and her boyfriend at the time had been hit by a drunk driver. she was killed instantly. this has absolutely shattered jasmin, sending her into a deep depressive mindset for years. 

desperate for a new beginning, jasmin moved to sunhollow right after graduating high school. it was here, that she met who she thought was the love of her life. sure, she had fallen in love before, but he was different. things moved quickly between them, and after only 3 months of dating, he proposed. about two weeks later, jasmin fell pregnant. and as soon as he found out, he called off the engagement and disappeared. jasmin has not seen him since.

truthfully, jasmin did have thoughts of ending her pregnancy, but her desire to be a mother overcame all other thoughts, and she went through with her pregnancy. it was extremely difficult to do on her own, but it was also the most beautiful nine months of her life. on september 28th, 2019, jasmin gave birth to a healthy baby boy: leo henstridge.

motherhood really changed jasmin for the better. she’s perfected her routine, and doesn’t like to differ from it in even the slightest way. she’s extremely protective of her son, and will always put him first, no matter what. jasmin will do anything and everything for her baby boy. 

love is no longer an option for her. she’s still heartbroken over her ex-fiance, and is completely turned off from the idea of ever falling in love again. she never wants to experience the pain of heartbreak again. and for that reason, she can seem a bit cold and harsh, but she just doesn’t like to let people in. self-preservation is her ultimate goal.

she’s been sober since her sister’s accident, and never plans to take even a sip of alcohol ever again. 

her ultimate goal is to get her master’s, then her doctorate’s, but she wants to wait until leo is a bit older.

life has never been kind to him, ever since he was born on that cold autumn night in the middle of nowhere idaho. it's a story you've probably heard a million times before, with a junkie dad and a crackpot mom he was destined to be nothing special. the responsibility to look after his four siblings landed on his shoulder when he was just a kid. begging and stealing were the only ways to put food on the table since his parents used all the welfare money to feed their addiction. grown-ups referred to him as a bad apple, someone so rotten they had to keep their kids away so they wouldn't be poisoned. friends were scarce but when loneliness is all you've ever known it can be hard to care.

he spent his teenage years in and out of juvie, sometimes for good reasons and others because that's where everyone thought he belonged.  over the years things at home got worse, his father was never around and when he was, he made sure to color his ivory skin red and purple. his mother's mental health only deteriorated over the years, she often put herself and everyone around her in danger. the doctors called early-onset dementia and without money or resources, it was now his responsibility to look after her as well. he used to wish she was more like his father, he was an abusive asshole by nature, it was easy to hate him. but, her? not so much.  

when he turned 18 he decided that enough was enough.  he didn't want to live in that small town where everyone thought the worst of him.  he was tired of the beatings, of the responsibilities, and all the pain he'd endure throughout his life.  he applied to all the colleges he could think of and begged a god he didn't believe for a chance to get the hell away from this place. the universe finally took pity on him and gave him the lifeline he'd been looking for, an acceptance letter to a school in san diego.  his sister was just shy of seventeen, years older than he had been when he became the head of the household, she would be fine taking on his role.  without a second thought, he packed his bags that summer and bought a one-way train ticket to california.

from a young age, she grew up with two loving parents. or so she thought. by the time she turned eight, her mom left without a word. not even saying goodbye. for years, as a kid, the girl was heartbroken and didn’t forgive her for as long as she could remember. living her dad wasn’t a perfect family image either. he would end up having one night stands or marriages with younger women that hardly lasted. the longest was about nine months. each time, they would be called off though. with how her parents’ relationship ended and how her dad handles them, the brunette grew to not wanting to be committed to love. in her mind, there was no point in being tied down when there was so much to do in life.  as soon as feelings got into the mix, the girl was quick to dip out of relationships. one moment, it could be assumed that she was into someone and the next, she would be ghosting them. as troublesome and selfish it may sound to others, she didn’t quite care as much. she was only living her life to the fullest and didn’t take things seriously to begin with.

FAMILY LIFE:  the eldest child of bollywood superstars viaan and riya acharya, the pressure on viknan started young. his first moments were plastered across magazines and news reels, millions of people knew his name before he did. his parents did at least try, at first. sure, their work and the fame always came first, but they always made sure that at least one of them made it to the big events in his life. {tw: homophobia} when he was twelve, he was photographed kissing a boy by a tabloid reporter, and suddenly his first kiss was plastered everywhere and his parents were shipping their disgraced son off to boarding school in england. {end tw} he almost never saw them after that, having to learn about his father’s affair and second family with an american woman from the gossip of the boys at his school. he immediately reached out to his newfound siblings, determined to protect them from the world that had ripped his family apart.

PRE-SUNHOLLOW: despite his family’s money and fame in their corner of the world, boarding school was not easy, so as soon as he graduated, he took off to new york city to enroll in university. gifted with a love of learning and the privilege that came in the form of guilty parents’ bank accounts, he threw himself into his schooling. he couldn’t tell you much of his new york life, as is life had been entirely consumed by two things. marine biology and her. if you ask viknan what his greatest accomplishment in his life is, there would be no hesitation in admitting it would be the fact that natalie once loved him, even if for a moment. he loved her with every part of himself, no matter how difficult it was sometimes. she didn’t make loving her easy, but he would have done anything for her. he still would. and, of course, since natalie was a charming, beautiful woman, his parents loved her. suddenly their family was reunited and the pressure was on for vik to propose. so he did. and they planned a huge, beautiful multi-faith wedding. he cried as she walked down the aisle, and again as she left him standing there in stunned silence as she ran from their union. he couldn’t even blame her. he wished he could run too.

SINCE MOVING TO TOWN: once he had cleaned the messes caused by the very public explosion of his relationship, he poured himself back into school. he completed his doctorate and accepted a job in sunhollow. it was the perfect city for him, right on the water and not somewhere he’d likely be recognized. not that he ever tried to hide his identity. it was the arrangement he’d made with his parents. he’d visit occasionally and play the perfect son a couple of times a year, and in return, they left him alone and made sure his bank account never ran low. while the money mostly sits untouched, viknan will often dip into it to help the community he’s come to love. he is an anonymous patron of the aquarium at which he works, and is one of their largest donors. now he is just trying to live his life and be as normal as possible.

DREAMS & GOALS: viknan wants one thing in his life and one thing only. to settle down with the love of his life and enjoy the quiet life he’s built for himself. while he still dreams of having natalie back in his life, he realizes now that likely will never happen. he is trying to move on, but finds it difficult to let people in. aside from this, he’s accomplished everything he wanted to in life, and is now trying to find something new to explore.

ok i’m gonna warn u guys now mickeys childhood was.. Not good. general trigger warning for child neglect / abuse, drug addiction, hospitalization, and accidental overdose. i’ll try to mark the worst bullet points specifically but this is ur warning that shit is abt to get real sad in this section !!

michelangelo gabriele valentine was born in los angeles, california to gabriele and francesca valentine on april 1st, 1995, making them an aries. they definitely make the joke that they were born on april fool’s day and their life has been a cruel joke since then smh. 

so the first thing you need to know is that mickey is the child of two super famous actors, think like brad and angelina level ( both famous in their own right, but their careers took off even more after they got together and were the ‘it’ couple in hollywood and starred in like.. every movie for a while ). their family was a household name before he was even born, so he never really had a chance at a normal life

when he was born, his parents mostly had been living a quiet life since their golden days had passed and they had eventually decided to retire from acting, though it wasn’t entirely their choice to stop acting as they got less and less roles, living decently off their savings but seeing an opportunity in their child to live even better, because when he was born there was a bunch of press attention and they decided to capitalize on it

he was in commercials before he could even walk, and his parents used their old connections to get him small roles in movies and tv shows before he was even properly talking

mickey practically grew up on set of whatever project they were working on, and was in a couple of disney shows and dcoms, and eventually even had their own tv show that they starred in from the time they were eleven until they were fifteen. it was like a hannah montana / high school musical / camp rock-esque show, with like singing and stuff involved bc they could sing too !!

to the outside world, he seemed like the perfect golden boy, incredibly talented and down to earth, a real ‘boy next door’ type. it made sense, really, that the kid of two incredibly talented actors would be a prodigy that loved being in the spotlight !!

(neglect/abuse tw) but that’s the thing, is that he hated acting. he never wanted to do any of it, but his parents just out right ignored his complaints once he got old enough to complain. he was making them fucking rich after all !! for most of his childhood they were gone, off on some vacation living their best retired lives. they’d come back into town from time to time to keep him complacent, essentially manipulating him into thinking acting was his idea, that he should actually be thankful to them for building such a successful career for him. except he never even really saw any of the money, and he practically lived in his trailer on set while they were gone, raised by tutors and random crew members. he always felt like if he just worked harder, got more roles, bigger roles, better roles they’d stop being so distant and act like real parents, but it never happened.

when he was 16, he filed for emancipation from his parents, and was ultimately granted it. he also sued them for literally millions of dollars, claiming that they had been simply using him for money for years, and that the money from all the movies and shows was rightfully his. after they were audited, he won that lawsuit, too. he also legally changed his name to mickey, bc he always hated how pretentious his name was and also it was kind of a symbolic change for him !! he used to have the nickname of ‘angel’ bc of his full name and like general reputation but even that sometimes brings back bad memories, and he made a big deal out of everyone calling him just mickey.

this whole thing was like, a huge scandal, and basically tarnished the valentines’ reputations forever. they lost pretty much all of the money they had saved, and could never find work again because they became so hated by everyone for being bad parents and taking advantage of america’s golden boy.

he finished out his contract with his show, and literally has not acted since. good riddance !!

they moved to sunhollow, just wanting to get out of la but still wanting to stay in california, trying their best to blend in and be as normal of a teenager as possible, while ya know.. living alone with millions of dollars.

he also had a huge identity crisis after all of this, bc his image had always been tightly controlled and he had been acting for so long that he didn’t rly even know who he was... but he slowly figured out that he was bisexual & then later nonbinary and started going by he/they ! 

he had been home schooled/tutored on set for most of his life, but he was actually super excited to go to public school and do the whole teenager thing !! it was a little bumpy at first bc everyone still treated him like a celebrity, but eventually he fell into some sort of normal, finishing out high school and managing to take care of himself semi-well

(drug addiction/hard drug mention tw) but all that childhood trauma caught up to them eventually !! they started doing drugs and just generally falling in with the wrong crowd, free to run wild with no parents at home. their house was the fuckin party house, the trap house, anything you wanted it to be... literally a safe haven for whatever shenanigans you can imagine mischievous high schoolers getting into when they’re unsupervised !! they were addicted to opiates and xanax before they even turned 18, we hate to see it. he also did a lot of adderall and sometimes coke just to stay awake and get through school and shit, so he was mixing uppers and downers regularly.

(hospitalization/accidental overdose/addiction/hard drugs tw) when they were 22, the delicate balancing act they had been doing mixing drugs and alcohol and living in a hedonistic nightmare finally caught up to them, and it was a pretty big wakeup call ( literally ) to wake up in the hospital, barely having survived an accidental overdose. they voluntarily went to rehab for 30 days and started down the path of sobriety. in the three years since then, they’ve been struggling to stay clean, still regularly drinking way more than they should and always smoking weed, but for the most part staying away from the harder stuff. it’s still pretty common for him to do coke at parties or even take psychedelics from time to time, but he doesn’t count that as breaking sobriety bc it’s really the pain pills that were the worst for him and also the reason he was hospitalized. he had to check himself back into rehab once and also got arrested for a minor drug possession charge, but he payed his way out of it and other than that he’s been mostly sober. 

despite how hard they try to stay lowkey & out of the public eye, of course the paparazzi & tabloids love a good personal crisis to exploit, especially seeing as how they had been such a beloved child actor, so the bigger ‘scandals’ of theirs usually still end up making headlines. 

he started making music when he was finding himself, and put it up on soundcloud under the pseudonym ‘angel eyes’, which was a mostly forgotten nickname of his based on his birth name. he never really wanted it to turn into a big Thing but some of his songs absolutely blew up, so now he’s like desperately trying to keep his identity under wraps bc he knows it’s going to cause a whole new wave of people being in his business. there’s some people who theorize it’s him anyway, but he just laughs it off if anyone asks him about it.
