I read your summary post about the drama, and when you said that klantis were trying to kill your love to klance but they were failing, it made me pretty happy. :) I've seen SO MANY klance artist turn bitter towards klance because of antis and I get why they're upset... but quite a few turn anti-like themselves towards that ship... :( Maybe I misinterpreted... but if you still are shipping klance despite the stupidity of antis... then thank you! :) And keep on drawing Shidge cuz it's cute!

I LOVE Klance so damn much! I just loved their bond from the very beginning and it’s not important if it’s romantic or are they just bffs. I just find them extremely valid together because they both can make and made so much to each other development and helped each other in so many things. I got used to separate the fandom community and the show/ship itself. For example no one can deny that because of antis Voltron fandom is said to be one of the most toxic fandoms, but did the show became worse because of it? Of course not. 

The same goes to Klance. The fandom of this ship is honestly huge, and of course it’s understandable why there was a place for hateful personalities as well. It’s really upsetting because those are always the most loud and the most clingy of all. They brought a lot of problems to crew and give very bad reputation to the ship even tho there’re much more normal and respectful Klance shippers. 

Honestly in my humble opinion - I think they really wanted to make more Klance interactions in the show, and maybe even make them canon, but they couldn’t do it because of these toxic Klancers who destroyed everything for everyone. Because can you imagine what would happen if Klance would become an actual canon? The life would turn into a mess for all the rest of the shippers who for example ship Plance or Sheith or anything else. Because these specific toxic Klancers can’t realize that canon was never something which was able to cancel the ship or be a reason to stop shipping. Canon was never a big deal but if it would happen to Klance the life of the fandom would be completely destroyed.

It’s sad that lots of people start to turn against Klance because of some dumb kind of shippers. And that’s never their fault. No one can stand the hate for so long. I know Bex used to like Klance too but had to stop it because Klantis were (and are) trying to turn their life into mess because of every kind word to Sheith, Plance, Shidge or other. That’s the difference. 

And of course it’s not fault of characters and their romance in fanon that there’s such a part of their community. I always try to separate it and can say that Klance is still awesome for me no matter how many dumbasses ship it as well. I know enough cool people and wonderful artists who ship Klance also (Elentori for example) and I try to always look at them because I know they would never be disrespectful to other shippers.
