In other news. Power went out around 10:30am Thursday. It's now Hallowen at 2:20am, still no power.

Using water from buckets because well.

ETA: by well I mean we (grandparents) have a well and in order to get the water from it, there is a pump. No electricity, no water.

Thankfully my house had city water, so I get it from there. No hot water though. My house is not insulated.

So here it is now 6:53am, still awake, still no power, 31° F, and the cat keeps stealing my pillow.

On the bright side, my Pop's F-150 works great as a glorified phone charger and I have unlimited data.

Not trying to garner attention for this as we are not supposed to share the sad pictures because everybody is happy and has a perfect life on social media but #wearehumanwecry. I hadn't truly allowed myself to deeply mourn since losing my dad then my madrina/aunt last Monday. I had to get in #hurricanezeta #survivormode by Tuesday. I had been trying to be strong for mother crying silently and privately. Maybe a little #hurricaneptsd with the power outage that lasted over 4 days for us then being restored on Halloween night allowed me to feel safe...safe enough to cry, safe to release...I checked on my mom making sure she was ok then went into the backyard to stare at the full blue moon. I got down on my knees and took a grip of the cold grass looking around me seeing all the things my dad has down in the yard. I said what I needed to thinking of those I’ve lost, prayed for those still fighting Covid and cried like a child with my voice letting the tears flow. What a year 2020 has been. Thank you @paulinaporizkov for inspiring through your posts about being open with the #humancondition.
