Episode 89 marks the end of NanGuo arc, presumably the longest arc in Fox Spirit Matchmaker by far. The story of the Southern princess has finally came to an end. The next arc is ZhuYe arc, beginning in Winter 2018, about WangQuan FuGui’s parents,  東方淮竹 (DongFang HuaiZhu) and 王權霸業 (WangQuan BaYe). This arc will be the first arc involving a story between two humans, thus the first arc without the involvement of grievance tree and reincarnation. It gives more insight towards YueChu & FuGui’s past connections, DongFang YueChu’s mother is revealed, and a bittersweet tragic story (as usual).  Picture caption: Goodbye, NanGuo Arc. / Hello, ZhuYe arc. 森林月啼, SenLin YueTi Arc

Recently I bought Fox Spirit Matchmaker manhwa volumes 1 to 12, and found out there is a manhwa exclusive arc/couple!! Their story takes place after Sand Fox and Ice Warrior girl’s arc, and is roughly translated as Forest Moon arc (森林月啼, SenLin YueTi). The boy, Hu Wei Sheng, actually appears in the anime for a short while to give Bai YueChu some buns.

(Sorry for the crappy quality) In order to become a full fledged matchmaker, SuSu has to complete two requests successfully. The first couple was Sand Fox, and the second was them. After some searching around, found out that the animation company will animate this arc in the future!

This arc will probably be animated in form of an OVA (?). It does not seem to have any important ties to the main story line as of now, but a cute and short story nonetheless.

Pringles and Fox spirit matchmaker’s animation company held a collaboration! Fox spirit matchmaker themed pringles in China.
