hey hi hello to all my guys, gals and nonbinary pals! it is the two year anniversary of hidden, and i promise not to get sappy, look out for my main post for that!! but with that milestone in our laps, the admins thought it might be fun to redo our original task from two years ago!! it’s a bit of a throwback to the start of hidden, and to the early days of tumblr! we wanted to put together something fun and low stress, and something to bring that muse out and rolling more so than it already is! welcome to hidden’s fifth task, moodboards!! click on that read more to get all of the details regarding the task ahead!

for those who don’t know, or need a refresher, a moodboard is a series of nine pictures or gifs arranged in a grid format that tell the story of a character, their relationships or their feelings on something. some examples are here, here and here !! and while these are very quick and fun things to put together, we did want to take this opportunity to put some more purpose behind these moodboards. as part of the task, we are looking for these boards to tell a story, to give some more backstory to your characters and their lives in a way that reaches people a little differently than just intros and threads!

this task includes four sections for your moodboards, and we do as that each be completed. of course, you can make more than one for each category but we do ask that each be marked specifically with what number they are referring to. 

part one, an introduction ; a moodboard that reflects your characters personality, thoughts and traits! help us get to know them through this first board!

part two, a relationship ; a board that represents relationship that has an impact on them. this could be a sibling, a parent, a friend, a lover or an enemy. someone from home or someone that they have met here in dc. we want to know who is important to your character and what their relationship is like! and don’t forget to tag your partner in them!

** part three, an important moment ; a moment in your character’s life that defines who they are. this could be the first moment they woke up here in dc, their first year of school, the moment they had their first kill or first kiss, anything that has had an impact on who they are today. 

** part four, the wild card ; this is your chance to have fun beyond the limitations of our original three boards. this could be a board regarding your character’s feelings on dc, or their feelings about home. it could be how they feel about grilled cheese or a day of the week! or how they felt gaining or losing memories?? it could be just about anything you have the desire to make!! take a deep dive into your character’s minds and show us how they think!

** we do ask that these moodboards come with an explanation. it doesn’t have to be long, just a short paragraph explaining that moment or why you chose the wild card that you did. something that helps us as your fellow members understand your character and their motivations a little bit more!

now to make said moodboards, you are free to use static images, and photoshop if you like!! some useful templates could be found at x , x , x !! and you can gather pictures through pinterest or google or anything you like! if you are looking to make a moodboard as a gifset, you can just upload those photos straight to tumblr and organize them in the post! some resources for finding those moodboard sized gifs can be found here, here, here, here, here and in the moodboard tag! you are also more than free to format them however you wish, so long as they fit the perimeters of the task, you are welcome to get as creative as you wish! we want to know more about your characters and their lives both in and out of washington! so, have some fun and make these moodboards fit your characters and your taste!!!

our tasks are not mandatory, but we do ask that everyone at least give them a shot! you never know what you might be missing out on! and us admins are always here to help with whatever questions or concerns you may have! and while you are not required to do these tasks or even do them for all characters, you can pick and choose who you would like to make them for, or do the whole task for everyone. whatever works for you works for us admins! but please make sure that whatever boards you do post, you tag them with “hwtask05″ !!

jaime and brienne have always had a complicated relationship. she was one of the few to see the man behind the facade, and showed him what a healthy, mutual love looked like. while his decision to redeem himself for his sins is ultimately his own, it could be argued that brienne is the one who helped him realize it was possible.

PART TWO: A RELATIONSHIP - Albus Potter & Judith Grimes 

albus and judith’s relationship started out as a friends with benefits situation. whilst albus has started developing feelings for the blonde he is unsure if the feelings are mutual or one sided. albus appreciates her company and her thoughts during hard times with his family. whilst they’ve only known each other for a short time albus trusts her and enjoys spending times with her whenever he can.

claire never really thought much about her sexuality until kaia. she will admit to herself that the girl was her first love, and that losing her definitely scarred her. but hope was the one who truly forced herself to look in the mirror and decide what she wanted. hope has changed her outlook on a lot of things, and learning to see the world from her perspective has helped her grow. she’s learned to trust supernaturals a bit more, and to let people in. and to top it off, she’s pretty sure that she’s found her second love.
