Milla was no longer human. That much, she knew for sure. Human emotion should no longer extend to her, those feelings of remorse and longing should be long gone. Yet they remain still, even some time after the events with Origin. Returning to the human world took a great deal of mana, but the need for mana was not as great as it once was. Despite that, Milla would not return unless there was a need to, no matter how much she may want to.

But the Lord of Spirits found a reason to return.

Her reasons lay in the Helioborg Research Facility, where a new breakthrough on spyrite research had happened. Of course, it only felt right to congratulate the man himself for the achievement. Some kind researchers led Milla to his office. Without much care for boundaries, she opened the door.

“Jude,” she said. “It’s been a while.”
