#Hatsune Miku#VOCALOID#or rather#piapro characters#Hatsune Miku Single String Ver.#<- yep that's the fan module I made for fun last year#the thing is. only half a month to go until it's mid autumn. and every year I try to draw something for the occasion#I just. started early this year... for some reason......#well I mostly just wanna draw Her lmao. because the pokemon/miku voltage stuff is still being released and Im feelin the effect#and this year's magical miral design is so fuckign good.... thank u to miku artists. especially LAM and rella#as is always the case with this module the instrument/weapon (lol) she uses is a heavily stylized ΔΓ n bαΊ§u!#and I just realized while drawing this and looking at the ref sheets that I never detailed the pluck lmao#to be fair. usually its just like a piece of. anything#commonly bamboo or bone or plastic. shaped into a longish fingernail shape. its really the way u hold it that matters iirc#but yeah I spruced up the OG design for the instrument in this one lol. this is actually like my original vision I think#I really wanted to make that thing beast shaped. but I Just figured out how to properly stylize it when I designed the module#and! I did say this on stream but I am genuinely very proud of that design! that was genuinely big brain of me! so#future instrument variants will still probably base heavily on that general shape and principles lol. I'm playin in this space its MY muck#also I switched the number on her coat from 39 to 01 bc it's more on theme thats really it. nothin else to remark on there lol#and! once again based the dragon head on the lΓ½ dynasty dragon rather than later iterations. thats why the nose fin and no whiskers#and the metal nozzle is kinda supposed to call to mind a temple bell. not super sure i got that across well#but the rim design IS historical! I thiiiink early lΓͺ dynasty. just on ceramics instead of on bronze lmao#anyways thats it. I had fun colorin this one! kicked my ass a bit but I think I hashed it out mostly okay#have a good night lads! thank u mid autumn moon cakes for being bad to eat and sponsoring my late night drawin. and remember:#u only need one. but never say having more doesn't make it easier

My beloved dog ate a couple fallen puzzle pieces. Replacements and repairs <3

Lots of new folks here after my latest Astarion piece! Also, it's been a minute since I did an intro post...so *waves*
I'm a 30-something high school English teacher living in the mountains. I have a rescue dog who is afraid of her own farts, and a partner who loves spreadsheets.
Most folks around here just call me Sloth. Most of the art and drawing I've been doing over the last year has been for BG3. My writing posts are always tagged #slothquisitorwrites and my art is always tagged #slothquisitordraws.
Current writing WIP is my Astarion x Tav eldritch horror AU, What Moves in the Dark.

my lu hyperfixation is fading a little bit and also it's finals season...so i am Struggling to write. so. it's not gonna get done by the end of the year probably. but i really am planning to get it done eventually...hopefully by the end of the winter...oh my god i'm so bad at this

SURPRISE!!!! π#I wanted to save this post for this Thursday at the earliest seeing that I've been posting a lot about this koopa lately#But after some thought I decided to just post it today because I REALLY want my sister Stephanie to see this#I am so proud of this piece that I just couldn't WAIT to show it to everyone!!#I actually had a draft of this drawing going around the time I first showed my koopsona off here#But I ended up finishing it in almost one sitting and a half because... truth be told...#It is RIDICULOUSLY fun to draw in Paper Mario's artstyle and I've yet again mastered a style on my first attempt XD#I was so certain that the shading style of the Paper Mario series (And the Mario franchise in general) would be a nightmare#But after realizing the trick used to pull it off I was able to finish this quite quickly!#I also heavily referenced TTYD's Koopa Troopa sprite sheet over on Spriter's Resource to draw this#Seeing as that game's sprites are assembled from pieces so there were plenty of assets to go off of#I wanted this to initially look more like that game's key art without the white outline and paper texture...#... but honestly I think it looks a whole lot more perfect leaning in toward how modern Paper Mario's style looks!#You can consider this the definitive reference for my koopsona because I doubt I can top this#... well... that is until I inevitably draw her again#To think a few days ago I couldn't draw Koopas and now I've completely MASTERED it with this piece!!!

347: major identity essay? done. finalΒ βessayβ? done. just gotta go to class tomorrow so we can meet for the final exam time slot and we are going to. talk about books. no more assignments, yay!
395: edtpa? DONE. reflection? DONE. self-evaluation for edtpa? DONE. now, all i have to do is edit edtpa and then submit it for like Official grading and not class grading
405: presentation? made and presented. revision portfolio and reflection? DONE (finished it like fifteen minutes ago lol)
444: giant research paper? DONE. reflection? done. presentation? DONE. just gotta go to the final exam period thursday to watch the rest of the presentations, but no more work for meeeeeeee
and then finally... 305... the only final i actually have left...
#y'all i worked SO HARD#i am so so so ready for a break even tho it's p short#i stayed at college for thanksgiving break so i could do homework and i got SO MUCH DONE and i spent the last two weeks like hardcore#working on finals and homework and i did SO MUCH and i'm so relieved and so proud of myself holy trash that was so much#and my 405 prof is suggesting that i submit the fiction piece i wrote somewhere iugfcgvhujijuhygfc idk where but i'm kind of π#like i'm a wuss and submitting scares me a bit ngl but like.
