Actually as a "solitaire is the biggest comfort game in the world" millenial bitch, i hate what microsoft did to their default solitaire collection (choked with ads and microtransactions) so i have steam installed on my art laptop exclusively for solitaire expedition and bejeweled (in case i need a break from solitaire)

Geralt is terrible at video games. He plays COD with Eskel and Lambert and Coën on PC at least 3 times a week but he uses a controller instead of kbm and he gets his ass shredded regularly. but it's fine bc he barely understands what's going on anyways despite having played some version of BigMan McGunShooty religiously with his brothers since he was 10. He has almost 1000 hrs on Stardew Valley though, and Ciri helped him make a mod that changes the horse to Roach colors (cont. I'm so sorry)
(lol that's me. how did you know?)
He was introduced to video games by his older brothers. They thought COD etc. would help him destress after long days at work.
But it doesn't? He's a decent sniper but doesn't really understand why he has to move back and forth all the time to not get shot (“you can't just stand still and wait for them to look around the corner“ - “why?“)
He does it more out of boredom and the idea of spending more time with his family than actual joy.
Then one day his niece Ciri is there for a visit and she brought her laptop. Geralt looks over her shoulder and is like “is that a horse?“
For the first time he notices that there is a huge variety of games online. And he learns the very basics from Ciri (who's super patient with her shy inteoverted uncle that never learned how to express his feelings because boomers are a thing)
Geralt loves creative and roleplaying games! Stardew Valley, Planet Zoo, Animal Crossing, Dragon Age (because even I managed that one lol), Tomb Raider etc.
And he's actually enjoying it!! Because his real life job is already exhausting, he doesn't need the extra adrenaline. And when his brothers see his steam library they ask if he can show them. And Geralt gladly opens the multiplayer on Stardew Valley, where he and Ciri have build their farm.
