spent the evening with my siblings going through boxes of my sister's preschool and early elementary school effects and i need to share some of her spelling choices:

budrfli (butterfly)

stroberre (strawberry)

apl (apple)

orinj (orange)

peach (peach!!)

bnana (banana)

lemin (lemon)

grapse (grapes)

wodrmin (watermelon)

ovcdoe (avocado)

par (pear)

#budrfli 😭😭😭 i lost it from how cute this was. next to a picture she drew of a butterfly obviously #i could not figure out ovcdoe but she was able to reason it out #i love little kid spellings so much. unfortunately there actually weren't very many from her because she got good at spelling pretty early #there are also some great examples of her writing Es with five lines instead of three <3 #this is all very normal child behavior but since it's my beloved sister i am allowed to feel like it is the cutest thing any child has ever #done anywhere in the history of the entire world #orthography #kidz these days #my posts #f #i'm so glad i got to see my siblings today i love them so much <3 and i hardly ever get to see them! feeling very full of love rn
