My Top 10 BL's of 2023

I am back with my personal top 10 of 2023. I know I've been super quiet these days but making a top 10 is always fun to do. The #1 has been decided early this past year but for the rest... It was a crazy year for BL but only a few were really top tier...🔥🔥

10. My Personal Weatherman (Taikan Yoho)

One of the Japanese BL's I really enjoyed watching. It was more grown up then the ones I've seen and that was very welcome. I love the dynamics between the main characters a lot. It was a bit of a slow one, with the lack in communication between the two but I forgive that because the chemistry was really good.

09. Wedding Plan

Oh how i looked forward to this one, the second I saw the trailer. I loved the storyline but I thought it was very short, which made them rush through it at times, which was a shame because it was actually really good and I just wanted to see more. I loved the chemistry between Sailom and Namnuea, So I really enjoyed watching them. They are very new if I'm correct but I didn't notice it at all, so hopefully they will get another BL together but a longer one. Also I love the GL in this BL, it was very natural and I in the end hoped they would be the ones that got to marry. Not to forget about the cameo;s of my babies Payu and Rain and of course Prapai and Sky.

08. Moonlight Chicken

This one I've waited for so so long and it was kind of a surprise because I love EarthMix, Like Mix is my man but my attention got taken away from them and got attached to GemFourth who played Li Ming and Heart. I just loved everything about them! I loved how they incorporated Sign language because Heart was deaf and just the overall chemistry between them, was everything. They made me smile so much. Jim and Wen, you know were amazing as well but I sometimes felt frustrated by their interaction. The close moments they had were amazing of course but it was not what I expected from EarthMix but overall this drama was definitely worth the wait!

07. Kiseki: Dear to Me

I absolutely loved this one. I couldn't get enough of it. I am a sucker for the Hate to Love trope and this had exactly that and in a gangster way. Like I loved it. ZeRui and Bangyi were made for each other and you can't tell me otherwise how he went to prison for ZeRui and even got hurt but he still decided to dedicate his bakery to him with his Strawberry cakes, ugh too cute. The second couple made me want even more. The sassiness of Ai Di and the coldness of Chen Yi, they were really something. The way Chen Yi didn't realize that Ai Di loved him until he went to prison or that one hot night made me slap my forehead because nothing was more obvious, so I can not explain how happy I was they finally got together in the end!!

06. My School President

This really was a GemFourth year because this was their first leading BL and boy how they won us over with their cuteness. The OST was also seriously top tier. I think I loved all the songs. This entire Cast was amazing! To think I almost skipped this one...That would've been a mistake for sure, so I'm happy that I decided to give it another try because I fell in love with them and bingewatched it in one go. I can't wait to see the next project from them.!

5. Our Dating Sim

this Korean BL was a welcome one. I loved the office setting of this BL and the fact that the episodes were short as usual, didn't disturb me that much. Their chemistry made up for that! I will never forget how my heart sank when Ki Tae thought Wan had disappeared again, this poor man but I loved how Wan immediately comforted him the second he saw him. I should really rewatch this again.

4. Last Twilight

I know it's still running but I can not leave it out of my top10 for 2023. I am impressed with Jimmy and Sea. These two are everything to me at this moment. Their chemistry is crazy and I am happy they have this BL to show their talents again. I am impatiently waiting every week for the next episode and so far no episode has disappointed me, which is rare tbh.

3. Sing my Crush

Sing my crush was not even on my radar but the second I came across it, I bingewatched it. I am a sucker for music BL's, where the actors can ACTUALLY sing and play instruments.. I loved it so much. from start to finish. I really think this BL was very underrated. I did not hear a lot of people about it but it definitely deserves more!

2. I feel you linger in the Air

Ever since I saw the trailer, I wanted to see this one badly and boy did it not disappoint! I was in awe every episode. I don't think I've ever seen a Thai Bl that was staged in the past. Also this way of time traveling is one I actually like. As long as no bodies get switched I am loving it. Their chemistry was top notch and those intimate scenes. That kiss in the rain, Art I am telling you and that massage scene, HELLO!! I literally forgot to breathe at that point and my face was almost stuck to the screen, crazy!! So yeah this was a true masterpiece!

01. The Eighth Sense

Let's all act surprised by this one...... what can I say? This one touched my intire being. It touched my soul, My heart everything. I cried, laughed and even cursed at 2 people in particular.. This is the biggest masterpiece of 2023 and nothing can change my mind about this. The way I anticipated every week and felt sad when it ended, ugh!! I just want to praise Oh Jun Taek for the way he acted, because if I'm correct this was his first acting job or at least he is very new but he pulled it of perfectly and Ji sub, I am applauding him for the way he portrayed Jae Won. All I need now is a season 2 or an special episode where we see them do the things Jihyun wanted... like just please!! In al seriousness everything was amazing about this one and that's why it's my number 1

I really do think that the Korean BL's won this round. I feel like they are finally stepping up their game. It's still not as Explicit as Thai or Taiwanese but that's not what I am expecting. I don't always have to have NC scenes because without a story, it's not worth a lot. Overal the Bl's were powerful this year and Top tier. Hopefully next year will bring us even better ones!! <3

I Like Rain And I'm Not Talking About The Weather

I love an organized baby gay sub. Where can I get one?! He has a color coded calendar. This really shouldn't be so cute. Look at him being traumatized by the lack of time. Welcome to adult life. Again with friends like Sky, who needs enemies. No seriously I adore their friendship because the support is still there, he's just real with him. Rain is crazy! We here for it though and yes Sky, how ARE you? Inquiring minds want to know.

Rain tells Sky about how he needs to catch a guy in thirty days. See the support. It only took a short "guy" moment. Now note that Sky asks "You've moved on from Ple to this guy" and Rain doesn't answer. This is all the answer he needs before dishing out the advice. Because who better to ask than your gay bestie. The advice: Show Up In Front Of Him Every Day. Got to admit it's good advice. There are some "are you sure this will work" but Sky assures him that he needs to get past this step first. Because fortune favors the bold. I can't wait to see how Sky still feels about this plan when Prapai implements it.

Your honor, I love this white crayon. I can see why Payu likes him. Oh no he isn't there and another. Day two and Payu is still not around. Poor disheartened Rain. Three day four. What are you up to Payu?

Sky reminds me of @victooooorious a complete asshole best friend but there every single time you need their ass. Okay back to the show. So, Rain is obviously upset about not seeing Payu which might be Payu's plan, make him miss him. Keeping it real Sky tells him that's why he said get through step 1 before doing any other steps. I am fucking loving the knowing look that Sky side eyes. Payu sent a text saying there is an easier way to see me, think carefully. Cryptic much. I would totally do something like this and yet I'm annoyed to see it done. Hey but Rain figures it out and races out of the classroom. That eye roll from Sky was a mood. Now he is reminding me of @curiositykilledd.

Oh, it's Mr. Low Friction who gives me the shivers and not in a good way. Okay so Rain had nothing figured out, but he knows who to ask. You're growing on me Matchmaker Mechanic. Telling Rain to learn how to dial 1-800-love-connection. Clue number 2 is that some people have a soft spot for polite kids. Payu is giving a reminder. We can say a lot about him, but he recognizes that Rain is a baby sub and needs extra guidance. Now Overly Invested Engineer has to get back to work.

Ahhh, so Rain calls and while he isn't rude. He isn't polite enough. This is Payu setting and establishing guidelines. Once Rain shows proper respect, Payu talks back. He gives a command "Finally. Wait there, I'll go to you." I think your overconfident a little early Rain.

Got to give credit to Rain because he is waiting. His little brother doesn't get it. "Nobody would wait a whole day like this but me." Now he has a reason behind what he is doing besides just the emotional discomfort but that doesn't mean he won't enjoy it as well. Payu is upset at not being greeted but Rain is in his feels right now, so he speaks rudely. Payu instantly reprimands him. He's stupid if he doesn't realize something is going on. A good Dom can read their submissive, maybe not know what's going on but for sure tell when things are amiss. Rain apologizes for his vulgarity but then tells Payu he is going home. Payu grabs him and asks what's wrong. Rain lies and says that Payu looks tired, so he better be going. Payu is smarttttt, he has figured out the way to Rain is with teasing. "You're happy with seeing me only a few minutes after waiting hours. You are pretty crazy about me." And there is what Payu wanted to know, "I am different from other people." "Jealous?" He takes Rain's hands and tells him if he doesn't want him to be with anyone else, then make him fall in love, so that he only sees him. Smooth.

Ah, not smooth enough. Rain says he is leaving. Good. Payu grabs him and Rain tells him to let go but he doesn't. "I'm hungry, come eat with me. I might fall for you faster." Aww, look at that smile on Rain's face. He didn't really want to go but he was showing HIS limits. He is saying, I will wait two hours for you but make it worth it. Out the door they go with Payu holding Rain's hand. They get to where they are going to eat and Payu is immediately watching Rain. Okay, did you guys catch that whole dominance shift? See once Rain sat down, he immediately started looking to get an order sheet. This is a dominant move, granted it's not huge but kind of is when you're still working the kinks out. Haha, see what I did there. Thank you, I'm here every Thursday. Anyways, Payu very smoothly took over the menu sheet and won that little battle.

Easy banter back and forth. Payu flags down the waiter. Rain notices he didn't order and Payu calls him stupid once again. Rain said eyes and complains about the use of stupid. I'm not particularly a fan of someone ignoring someone else's guidelines. Let's see if Payu can change Rain's mind though. The TEASING! It's gonna kill me and Rain. Payu says "I'm curious Rain, how are you going to make me fall for you. I don't see how you can do it." "Keep your voice down, People will hear you." Is this gay panic? or something else. Need more context clues. "Come again." "Keep your voice down." "You're afraid of other people's opinions?" See, see how Payu teases Rain into revealing his feelings or pushing him where he wants to go. "It's not too late to back out." "You speak as though I'm gutless." "It's clear you are." Rain grabs the waiter's arm "Mister, I'm hitting on this guy. Please give me your support."

"Do Your Best!" I like the waiter. Also, the clapping crowd. "Shit" Payu loved it though. Look at his face, he ate it up. "Do your best stupid boy." "Quit it! It's all because of you!" Your gonna make his head swell Rain. Payu asked Rain if he is shy, but Rain assures him he isn't. Cute banter back and forth. Here we go. This is addressed as an ask but it is a command. "I wanna eat the eggs. Will someone pick them up for me?" This is actually my preferred method of commanding outside of sex or pain. "I'm thirsty, can someone get me a drink?' Rain tells him he has hands. Totally a brat moves but Payu isn't mad cause he knows Rain is shy. Instead, he taps his forehead gently in reprimand. Then shows Rain how it's done by feeding him. He is really a very good Dom. I'm really enjoying the representation here. He feeds him more and then cleans his face. Now we are seeing an annoyed Rain and an amused Payu.

Ha!!! Payu chasing after Rain. "Please don't be mad. I said I'm sorry." "I'm still mad." "You made me angry and shout on purpose. And you even laughed at me!" "Affectionate laughter and mocking laughter are two different things." Rain isn't buying it and goes to leave but Payu grabs onto him. "Talk to me." "What else do you want?" Then compromise because at this point he realizes he has to give, or Rain will walk. Subs aren't doormats, you've got to balance their needs with yours. Okay, truth talk. For the sake of the show, I can see the cuteness in this but it's completely unacceptable in the real world. You do not, I repeat, do not push someone to accept a degradation kink. If it's your kink, then figure out a way to talk it through until your D/s partner understands or find another partner.

Oh, we are having another existential moment. Please do not engage program is still loading. However, Payu is willing to leave him here. "That's cheating, P' Payu. You're a cheat!" pst. How is that cheating exactly? Cause your realizing your falling and that's not fair?

Payu immediately texts Mr. Lube that if he doesn't want a pay cut that he better leave whatever he gets at the office.

Responsible Sky, reminding Rain about his homework and the deadline. Still Rain races out, pushing Ple aside. Our clueless baby sub gay is so cute. Even if he rushes off to the garage he is working on his homework. To which Payu gives him a complement. "I may flunk lecture classes, but I'm confident with this one." "Where are my snacks?" "Why would I give them to you, they are for P'A because he took care of my care." Payu starts listing off all the things he did to the car until Rain can't help but give up the snacks. Payu grabs Rains hand as he is taking the snack, Rain snatches his hand back, but he is smiling to which Payu notices. Payu out right calling him cute! Ahh. Okay, Okay, Gear Grinder is growing on me.

Ohhh no! Payu asks when the deadline is, and Rain asks why. Once he starts talking about buying Rain dinner, it's not looking good. Payu tells him it's fine if he doesn't want to, he can eat by himself and starts to walk off. Rain quickly grabs his arm. And I knew it.

Here is another command. "I'll wait by the bike. Pack your things quickly and follow me, okay?" Ahh that head rub! I'm melting. Like I'm a puddle right now. All the feels. Okay, I got it together, lets continue. Ha! Payu grabbing Mr. Lubes snacks. How rude. Looks like Rain finishes his homework but then he is taking a nap. Even in your dreams you get shit, lol. Mom wakes the kid up thanks to Sky, but he still doesn't make it in time. Professor is harsh but right. If everyone else can meet the deadline, why should he be the exception. Sometimes you have to learn your lessons the hard way. I was siding with you dude but now you're being a dick. There is nothing wrong with crying, it's an expression of sadness and frustration.

These are friends. Sticking around to give support. Ple puts her hand on offers Rain a listening ear, but Rain removes her hand. Which surprises Sky. He tells them that he is tired from pulling an all nighter. Then shows up at the garage to stand in the rain. Baby brother goes to grab him out of the rain and then calls his brother to tell him what happened. Payu knows something is wrong because Rain now knows to wait for him to text. He packs his shit and leaves. When a sub needs support than they need support. See they might give us control but that doesn't mean they don't get anything out of it. We are the pillar, and we know it. I will absolutely drop what I'm doing to answer my sub's call. If their calling while I'm at work, it's not for a bullshit reason.

While in the bathroom Rain talks to himself in front of a mirror. This is actually a good trick to use when you're having a hard time being honest with yourself. He asks himself why he rejected his friend's support but cried in front of Payu. He tells himself to stop crying but admits it was nice to have Payu's support.

When he leaves the bathroom he rushes to stop Payu from looking at his work. Now comes the kick in the ass. Payu tells him the teacher was right and Rain agrees. Payu tells hime that this is the first test before he steps into the real world. That it will protect him and give him strength in the future. For some missing a deadline is no big deal but for others, it means responsibility. He offers more comfort and support that critisism.

Oh, Good Dom. You are starting to realize that your little man needs a little more tlc than most. He goes to him and hugs him to him. "What's done is done, don't dwell on it. Focus on your next works, got it, naughty boy?" Rain nods up at Payu. "Dry your hair properly. Don't get sick. I don't want to take care of you." but he is smiling as he says it. "I thought you wouldn't comfort me!"

So now we know that the wolf planned to eat the lamb all along.

The funny thing is Prapaisky was already acting married by EP13 and the special episode 😂😂😂

Even after marriage they are gonna be flirting shamelessly while texting and Pai would be returning back from his races to Sky maybe working on his assignments at his job and will be helping him with the models and pretending to get hurt just to have Sky dot on him 🤭🤭.

And in my headcanon they both know how to cook so weekends are for lazy morning make-outs and then brunch. Pai would suggest ordering from outside so they can fool around more but Sky is adamant on learning the new recipe so he pulls Prapai from the bed who would be whining and pouting but still they have lots of fun. No food fights tho coz our boys are mature and they hate wasting food.

Once in ever two weeks they go out of town maybe to the beach or the mountains just the two of them enjoying the peace and silence without the responsibilities none whatsoever.

Once in a month they have a date night. Pai to make things interesting has made a huge box full of ideas all folded up and each month one of them picks the option and they do that. Sometimes they are casual, sometimes they are elaborate. But Sky loves them all the Pai coz he knows this is one of Pai's love languages and Sky too loves being spoiled by Pai.

Once Sky starts earning a good amount he starts to spoil Pai as well who melts every single time Sky surprises him coz in previous relationships it's always been Pai who was the one surprising so being on the other end of it Pai loves it so much and Sky getting to see that joy on Pai's face falls in love all the more each and every day.

Last but not the least they are gonna be that couple who even after 20 years of marriage still be very much in love and be all lovey dovey making everyone around them be like "OMGGG GET A ROOM ALREADY" 😂😂😂

I watched Bed Friend

And I loved it!

Ngl, the premise of them starting as friends with benefits made me a bit hesitant to start it. I'm ace, and generally not a big fan of sex scenes on screen. I put up with them when they're relevant to the story, but getting into a show whose whole starting point was that the main couple were having sex together - yeah, I wasn't too hot. But I heard that the show dealt with Uea's trauma pretty well, so I decided to give it a shot.

And boy am I happy I did! First of all, there isn't that much sex. Like, we got more intense and developed scenes in Kinnporsche. Second of all, it was great!

This is one of my favorite BL so far!

Bed friend is a pretty good term for FWB, actually. I don't know if the show came up with it or not, but it's the first time I heard it and it's great!

I have a type! Apparently the cold-and-dismissive-because-traumatised meets cocky-but-caring-who-will-give-anything-to-take-care-of-them dynamic really does it for me. This is the exact same dynamic than between Sky and Prapai, who are one of my favorite BL couples. x) I guess I just like black cat x golden retriever uh.

Though I will say, I think Bed Friend handled the trauma better. By quite a large margin. My boy Uea is actually going to therapy! And taking medication for his mental health! And takes time to recover.

Yeay for STD awareness! Going to get tested after a night where no one was sober enough to remember to use a condom is a great idea! Especially when you've just learned your boyfriend was cheating on you. Get tested friends!

What's up with King's interior design, seriously? Listen, you wanna put copies of classical paintings in your condo, sure, have fun. It screams "I'm rich", but it can work. But what the fuck is up with the painting in his bedroom???

I'm pretty sure it's The Coronation of Napoleon. And I do. not. understand. why anyone would put that in a bedroom. If you want to flex about it, put it in your living room or something, but the bedroom?? I - I don't get it. Of all the classical paintings to chose from. Why this one?

Mind you, it's a detail, and one that has no impact on the story whatsoever. But it bugged me every time it was on screen.

King's reaction at the end of episode 7 was bad enough I almost didn't forgive him.

This is one of the tropes I hate the most ; the love interest getting jealous over what was clearly sexual assault. I hate it with a passion.

Especially when the love interest already has reasons to suspect it wasn't consensual. And King very much did. He spent the entire episode protection Uea from Krit, and now he's accusing Uea of asking for it?! I was waiting the whole scene for him to bash the door in or something, and instead he goes victim blaming?!?!

Listen. I know the context. Uea was pulling away full stop, and King was getting angsty and insecure. But to the point of getting jealous of what he knew was sexual harassment?! Fuck you King.

Props to Uea for telling King they couldn't even be friends if that was how he talked to him! Good job! Don't let the man be an asshole just because you like him!

So, why did I forgive him?

I frankly would have liked it better if we got an actual apology scene. He should have had to hear exactly how he made Uea feel that night.

But. Except for that, he did pretty good to fix his fuck up. Beginning with making sure Krit faced consequences and would never bother Uea again. Even if it meant putting his own job on the line. As far as grand gestures of apology go, this one is pretty good.

And then, because grand gestures are good but what matters is how you behave on the daily, he consistently showed Uea he respected his boundaries. Including asking if he could go after the step-father instead of just doing it, and later respecting Uea's need for time before acting on the info they obtained.

Also yes, a man who can make the system work to actually punish rapists and abusers is hot. The mafia way of murder and torture is great, but not very applicable for most of us. Having actual examples of the system working once in a while is good for the soul okay.

I would have liked for him to grovel a bit more, because I love grovel, but overall he's doing pretty well. So I forgive him. But I'm not forgetting!

It's not about eclipse sorry, but I read some novel spoilers about sky in lita and if that's correct, the actor of the character is doing a phenomenal job in micro expression. I don't know if I'm reading too much or not but i like his acting very much. Prapai's actor haven't got enough setting to showcase his talent yet but i think he's doing good as well. Overall lita has good actors and good direction and cinematography, only if they could work on the script a bit more 😬

Also, who is behind all these sex scenes? They look so realistic and is not cringe??!!

I also like his acting so far, he was hilarious in the previous episodes and now doing a good job at showing a more differentiated side of his character. And based on the few bits I read about his story I think there will be plenty of room for him to showcase more of that. Same goes for prapai who I can't really say much about yet since he hasnt had enough screentime. but so far I'm not hating either of their performances.

And yes I agree about the direction + cinematography being good, however the one thing that's bugging the sh*t out of me is how they don't change the voices during a phonecall lmao like person A is on the phone with person B and they're making it sound like person B is standing in the same room instead of making the voice sound like it's actually coming from a phone lmao idk if it's just me but it throws me off every time.

but anyway. I also agree about the nc stuff being good. no arguing there.

love in the air ep7 review

Context: I tried so hard not to spoil today's episode. Mission accomplished. I did not, in fact, get spoiled. So I watched it just now and I wanted to talk about it because obviously I had to. 

(I can finally scroll to every single social media that I own; that was literally killing me, i will never put myself through that again)

Let’s start with the MOST IMPORTANT THING: PrapaiSky

Prapai: my god this man is so freaking fine. Every scene was *chef’s kiss*. Can we acknowledge his voice? Oh my god Fort I didn’t know you could speak like that. Amazing honestly. I love it. The way that he smiles too, how can we resist? I am actually so excited to see him act as Prapai because Prapai is a fun character but also is supposed to be an adult and a “dangerous, professional, playboy” one which I normally hate in other shows because they always look like assholes, but Prapai/Fort looks like such a nice guy is actually insane how he can pull both looks. I love his way to getting Sky numer from Rain, like he knew those little shits where so eager to fuck and he did not care at all. Also, he canceling his meeting for that one moment is so amazing to me; that’s what a whipped man does

Sky. Babe, yes, you are the moment. I actually didn’t think he was going to be of my enjoyment because, again, like Prapai, these types of characters are playing in such an annoying way and are not fun after a while, but Sky/Peat has been delivering everything since we first saw him. So yes, I am also excited to see him more, and see more facets of this character, especially the horny one. YES, I WANT TO SEE A CHARACTER THAT’S SO GOOD IN BED THAT HE MADE A GROWN MAN CANCELED HIS WORKS MEETING JUST TO BE WITH HIM. I honestly love his relationship with Rain. Is so pure and amazing how they stand for each other and how Rain seeks comfort and help from him. 

That is something that I appreciate in this drama: the relationships aside from romantics. Friends and family are sometimes really hard to portray because it is hard to make a whole cast of people get well with each other, but they did. Idk if is the main or what, but everyone feels connected somehow, and they seem to get along well. Sky’s dad and Rain’s mom are so funny and cool, I wanted to see more of them. And Daddy Chai did his thing with that asshole but I will get to him later. 

Rain. If people could see how much I talk about him they can eventually figure out that he is my favorite character of the show so far. I just love how Nouel portrayed him, and how cute and funny he is on screen. I already talked about his development but seriously, what great writing. I really liked the scenes of him being kidnapped, even though they're hilarious and I couldn't take them seriously, Nouel has a thing for screaming, he does it well. 

Phayu. I can't get enough of him, he can do everything. I really like the way Boss portrays his character when he worries and he tries so hard not to do the things the asshole said to him. I feel like he can play more dramatic characters besides the “bad boy” if he keeps on this track. But overall I feel like he literally shines when he plays playful and flirty guys. He just does so well. He is so charismatic and makes everything fit together. The scene where he was with Rain’s friends was so good. Usually when seniors approach younger ones there is this air of awkwardness and discomfort because of the age gap, but here, it was like they were comfortable talking to him like you would with a cool adult. 

The relationship between Rain and Phayu is definitely one for the books. They had the chemistry that’s been missing for so long in other couples. They look so good together, they talk and act like a couple which I love to see. I like when the characters keep acting like they want to be together even after they get official. Like the spark is still there. I love the hornyness, i love the communication, the cuteness and the little kisses. 

I also thought that I would hate the fact that Phayu knew Rain and “broke” his car so he could fix him and therefore meet him, but keeping in mind that he is a mechanic and wasn’t any danger and most of his flirting was teasing, I can understand it. 

So, the whole kidnapping thing. It was fun, it was dramatic, it had fights, some talk and action. Overall, It did live up to the expectation. I feel like it was unnecessary of course keeping in mind that the plot was the romance and we already had a romance going on, but I think it is a way to connect the dark sides of the ilegal races with the story of Sky. So i don’t mind. Like, LITA it feels like a fanfic, but a wattpad one, so I don’t really care that it is not perfectly written. Sometimes we need trash stories in shows and we need to learn to accept them. But the actors did a good job portraying what they had to. Daddy Chai obviously stole the show, which I also think is understandable if he is an older actor and a more experienced one. I feel like giving dramatic scenes and very heavy ones to BossNouel will end up a lot like JaFirst where they were good, but not that good, and it felt a little fake. 

So overall, the episode was a lot to take, but in a good way. The action stuff was not overwhelming, and we had a lot of cute moments of the couple just talking about their feelings (which we all love because communication is our number one priority, always) and we got more scenes where Phayu and Prapai were together (if I don’t have more of them i swear i'm going to thailand to make them film more scenes idc) and WE GOT PRAPAISKY, separately, but we got them.

I think there's some racing drama ahead? Anyway, the current reigning prettiest cast is back.

This Chai guy looks like he's gonna mess with Rain later. Liked seeing Saifa take the other flank and shelter Rain. He's a good brother.

I don't know who this fuckboi from the last episode is, but the actors are doing a believable job at their role.

Prapai spots Rain and does not hesitate to ask about Sky, but not before the fuckbois ruin it.

Now I'm thinking about all the poor flag girls that get run over in sandbox video games.

This guy does not appreciate that we are still in a global pandemic. He needs to not talk in people's faces.

What the hell is going on with Boss's mic? Why is his breathing so loud??

I like the translation change from "wife" to "darling." It clears up confusion for the western viewers and I think carries more accurate intent.

I was a bit iffy in the first few episodes, but I like Rain and Payu as a pair now.

I still.dknt think I know what Payu's architecture boss's name is. (Update: It's Mhok)

Payu's fondness for Rain when he seems him working is very endearing.

Saifa ways interrupting for plot reasons.

I do appreciate that Payu doesn't brush aside Rain's concerns. Seems in line with their dynamic that he sidestepped making promises he can't be sure to keep.

Why is Prapai here? To establish his character before we transition, obviously! Keep up, Saifa.

Part of why I will always stay with BL is how everyone's friends can be so chill about queer dynamics and smile fondly at a couple while also teasing them.

These other mechanics are so professional doing their work while these two flirt in front of them.

And just like that, this fuckboi assures we will hate him forever by being rude to Rain.

It's gonna be super awkward for everyone involved, including the viewers, if Payu loses. I'm not sure what's more interesting. Maybe j want him to lose to see what that looks like if their overall confidence shaken?

I’m sure I’m not the first person to send this recommendation because you just posted about it a while ago, but Big Dragon would be a really fun show if you’d be willing to do another reaction/follow along!

It looks like the bdsm aspect might be getting more highlighting than orginally expecting (preview for ep 3 shows that the sub actually regularly goes to a dominatrix, so he’s not totally oblivious to the dynamic his hate/lust relationship is taking on). I’d love to see your opinions on it if you have the time! It’s a truly refreshing case of asshole on asshole romance and there’s two little coconut bodyguard characters that immediately made me think you’d love them when I first saw them 😂
