so about the live action zelda movie that may or may not be happening. Ive heard a lot of negativity “it’s not gonna work live action it should be animated” yeah i get where you’re coming from when we consider titles like oot and botw and tp. I understand how those types of games are dramatic and more fitting to be animated, and i think it’s bc (especially tp and botw) have more realistic art styles (at least more than other loz games)

BUT CONSIDER: wind waker. I think i’d be so pretty live action. I think it could go in a lot of ways with casting and still feel accurate since the characters aren’t so intricate and detailed. Same with the world and the setting, they could really make things look a lot of different ways without it feeling inaccurate. And i’m not pushing for a 1 to 1 recreation of the game’s story bc video game story design is so different from movie story design. But like, if they did tp and idk midna has a lot of stylistic changes to her design i could see people getting really pissed. But if they did the same thing to the king of red lions boat, i don’t think people would be the same level of angry. Bc wind waker is a cartoonish game, it can easily be interpreted visually in a lot of different ways.

I feel like wind waker could have a beautiful live action and i hope it’s wind waker that we get. I know it’s more likely to be oot or botw since they’re most popular and botw is the most recent incarnation. But dear hylia i pray we get to have little windy boy do his thing

Other things i’m hoping for? Music from the games. Please, please. It’s so good it doesn’t need changing. And mute link PLEASE if they think ‘oh wouldn’t it be silly if he was like cartoon link haha’ I WILL BE STORMING NINTENDO AND SHAKING THEM AROUND. make him mute and make him silly. Not some disrespectful cringy ‘lady’s man’ who gets what he wants.
