First time I've ever come across and considered Imayoshi x Kasamatsu was when Tumblr recced your stuff on my feed. And it feels like a whole new world has opened up, and is inviting me gently to explore it

YAAYY to be honest im so imakasabrained everytime i get a message like this it surprises me because knb is a romantic comedy starring imayoshi and kasamatsu to me but i understand imakasa would not be on the normal viewers radar at all.

if youre interested in imakasa now i would recommend finding and reading a translation of the replace VI novel chapter about the formation of strky and of imayoshis drama cd ^_^

the strky chapter is pretty much the imakasa sacred texts and to me in general university and strky post-knb is the setting of choice for imakasa (it doesnt make much sense to me before that as they didnt spend any time together). so i would really recommend you read it (there is a translation on tumblr i just dont have the link on hand rn) its really great imayoshis gay ass is so funny

but surprisingly knb side content was always pretty consistent about the respect kasamatsu and imayoshi would have for each other during the events of knb which i find really interesting as well! i believe in a bonus event in the psp game (?) set after kaijou lost to touou in the interhigh kasamatsu was interviewed for a sports magazine and mentioned thinking of imayoshi as his rival + praised his abilities. imayoshis drama cd also shows the understanding and respect they have for each other as fellow captains, with imayoshi sending his teammates alone to kanagawa to set the date for a practice match because he knows theyll grow from talking with kasamatsu, and kasamatsu lecturing them on the structure and nature of their own team + making them understand that its thanks to imayoshis capable leadership and handle on his team that theyre so strong, even if his approach is less than conventional. they also have each others phone number lol.

i think on imayoshis side while he does also think very highly of kasamatsu and his abilities its made less obvious because hes vague and hard to read by nature but lets not forget that while he knows himself to be an excellent point guard, he plays the shooting guard position in strky, the team that he himself formed 😊
