i do not care about concept albums but eraserhead’s fruitcake (1996) is a christmas masterpiece and the fact they released a children’s book to accompany the album makes me sob.
#i listen to ONE eraserheads song. and revert back to grade 7 williane#my best friend at the time had a copy of the book bc their parents were eheads fans and like. oh my god#reading it in class and bringing it home .. yeah <3#im just realizing how much i love them for the 90th time. god#i let my ap teacher borrow my greatest hits cd of them back in 2017 and he promised to buy me a cassette of one of their albums ):#he hasnt found any bc theyre crazy expensive but he messaged me awhile back saying he hasnt forgot abt it#i am emo i am sad i am in the mood for christmas#the way they made a concept album for fcuking. christmas sends me beyond relief#anyway <3 i listened to the whole thing for the first time in a while#it is. alot and there is def filler but at the same time it all comes together and i love it#the opening is a banger. certified Christmas karaoke hit for me AND the gen x relatives
